Krissy:
With a small smile she nodded.
"Yes, stay. You should be the one in this bed. You probably haven't rested properly in a few days."
She sat up fluidly, only feeling the slightest, weak protest from her leg.
"I was quite comfortable on the bench Daniel. You should rest," she insisted."I have only slept for the past few days. I'm feelin' fine."
"Krissy, I know you're lying. I've known you forever. I know when you are lying." Daniel responded, his green eyes large, like when a child is hiding something.
" Come on Daniel. I know you are tired, run up upstairs, get changed and come back down to go to bed." Krissy said, the note of an order in her voice.
"Women" Daniel sighed, he would change get into the bed and jump out too put Krissy back into the bed anyways, why fight?
He headed up the stairs, his feet feeling heavy. He went into the partially abandoned study where he kept his clothes. He sat down on the lone chair in the room, and stared out the little windows. How was he going to tell her now. He rubbed his eyes. He stood up and took off his stiff shirt before stretching out his sore muscles.
Then the door opened quietly as Krissy peered in.
"Daniel you here?"
