Krissy:

With a small smile she nodded.

"Yes, stay. You should be the one in this bed. You probably haven't rested properly in a few days."

She sat up fluidly, only feeling the slightest, weak protest from her leg.

"I was quite comfortable on the bench Daniel. You should rest," she insisted."I have only slept for the past few days. I'm feelin' fine."

"Krissy, I know you're lying. I've known you forever. I know when you are lying." Daniel responded, his green eyes large, like when a child is hiding something.

" Come on Daniel. I know you are tired, run up upstairs, get changed and come back down to go to bed." Krissy said, the note of an order in her voice.

"Women" Daniel sighed, he would change get into the bed and jump out too put Krissy back into the bed anyways, why fight?

He headed up the stairs, his feet feeling heavy. He went into the partially abandoned study where he kept his clothes. He sat down on the lone chair in the room, and stared out the little windows. How was he going to tell her now. He rubbed his eyes. He stood up and took off his stiff shirt before stretching out his sore muscles.
Then the door opened quietly as Krissy peered in.

"Daniel you here?"

Daniel
"Daniel, you here?" That was all he heard before he saw Krissy's face peering from the door.

"Ahhgh!" daniel shouted, picking his shirt from the floor.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" She yelled, almost falling backwards. "Oops!"

She said as she stumbled and nearly fell.

"Krissy!" He ran toward her and had to open the door since she pushed it when she fell. He found her with her hand over her eyes and grimacing. He smiled, she looked sweet and so inocent and childish.

"Do you have your clothes on, now?" She asked, still having her hand over eyes. Daniel kneeled beside her and gently took off her hand from her eyes. She was blushing hot red but for some reason he wasn't he was liking her, he liked her inocence.
"yes" He said with a sigh. "You can open your eyes now" Since she not only had her hand over her eyes but had her eyes closed. So, she slowly opened her eyes and looked at him, he stared at her and arranger her hair.
They were close, inches apart, her smeel getting into his nostril and enjoying it. She smelled so feminine and she looked so beautiful all red from blushing. He couldn't help it but smile and surprisingly she smiled back, with eyes that he had expected to see ever since he met her.
Daniel, he thought, just go for it His face was suddenly serious, for some reason she hadn't gotten up and he hadn't moved and inch at least not in the direction expected. He was moving slowly, leaning toward her very softly. She didn't move, nor sank backwards, just grabbed his face and waited until they were close enough. she move her head towards him a litle and he did it. He slowly placed his lips over hers. Her lips felt soft and warm, enjoyable and he finally kissed her; kissed her softly, slowly.

Jas

I leaned against the fence, smiling as I watched three of the mares I was training chase each other around the field, tossing their heads and neighing happily. It was good to be back at the stable, instead of laying in bed at the Rogue's house.

"Jas?" I didn't turn around as Grayson came up behind me, his steps nearly silent in the grass. "You wanted to see me?"

"Yes," I said as he leaned against the fence next to me, the bag in his hands rustling.

"Bagel?" he said, offering me one from the bag. I took it gratefully. "Now what is it about? Those girls?"

I looked sideways at him, surprised. "How did you guess?"

"Lorraine wanted to talk about the same thing earlier," he answered, rolling his eyes. "You two are being paranoid. The Rogue thinks they're dead, and we all know Kayla is good at setting fires."

One of the horses, a pretty sorrel mare, trotted over to the fence, sniffing at the bagel in my hand. I held it out to her and she snorted, then cantered away. "But what if they aren't? What if they escaped?" I couldn't keep the worry out of my voice.

"That's doubtful," Grayson said, his voice hard.

I sighed. "I just feel like we're all in danger. There's those girls, and then there was that man who attacked me outside my barn. I don't think they were connected, which means that the Rogue has at least two major enemies. I think something's going to happen, Grayson, and I don't want to be blindsided. Let's assume that the girls are dead, okay? There's still that man who was outside my stable. That attack on me wasn't some random event. He told me that he would make the Rogue pay if he meddled in his 'affairs' again."

He turned to look at me, a half eaten bagel in each hand. "The Rogue didn't think it was that big of a deal."

"That's the problem!" I exclaimed. "He doesn't want to think that some random stranger could be a threat to him. But he took me down in less than a minute! It's our duty to protect the Rogue, you know it is. We need to take this matter into our own hands before the Rogue gets hurt.

Grayson nodded slowly. "What do you suggest we do?"

"He threw Thylonian Fire Powder in my face. That stuff's rare, and illegal" I said. "Hardly anyone sells it. If we could find which merchants are selling it, and who's bought it, we might be able to track down the man."

Grayson bit his lip, looking uncertain. "The Rogue didn't think it was worth pursuing your attacker. He might be angry if we don't trust his judgement and look for him anyway."

"The Rogue is angry with me 364 days of the year. If he gets mad it'll just be another excuse for him to yell at me," I said. "We don't have to tell him, anyways unless we find them alive. Please?"

Grayson turned to watch the horses for a long moment, squinting in the early morning sun. I waited silently, anxious for his answer. Would the famous suck up agree to go behind the Rogue's back? A week ago he would have refused, but the sight of the Rogue's bandaged arm had unnerved us all. Our leader wasn't as invulnerable as he liked us to think, and I knew that if we didn't hunt this man ourselves no one would.

Finally, Grayson sighed and said "All right. We'll look for him, but if we don't find anything you'll drop it and never mention them again. Deal?"

"Deal," I said. "I'll ask Kayla to come with us and meet you at your house tonight. Is 10 o clock all right?"

He nodded. "It's fine. And Jas? You have a piece of bagel stuck between your front teeth teeth."

"For how long?" I yelped, fishing in my pocket for my mirror. Grayson raced away, laughing. "Why didn't you tell me? Jerk!" I called after him, and then he was gone, ducking under the fence and into the street beyond.

Daniel
He felt so good with her, her skin felt soft and he couldn't help but to put his hands around her face and push her closer. BUt he didn't want to be rude, so he slowed down a bit and just let her kiss him, eventually not kissing at all but staring into each others eyes.

"I-I-umm" and she laughed, lowering her gaze and placing her head in his chest. She tried to open her mouth again but it didn't work just air came our of it, not words.
She laughed at her and embraced her. This was something he had been waiting for years and in the least appropiate conditions it came, and it came out perfectly.

"Uh..." He was surprised, she had never stuttered, it was the first time he ever saw her sttuter. She looked annoyed but he liked her, she looked funny.

"For being your first kiss it was pretty good" Daniel said jockingly. She blushed and laughed, laughed with him and tried to speak again.

"umm-uh, thanks?" She said, still holding on to Daniel.

Maria

I walked up the stairs, following Krissy and Daniel. I needed to ask Krissy about what we'd do next. I opened the door that Krissy had gone into, and stopped short. Krissy and Daniel were lip-locked. A smile crept onto my face as I closed the door again, very quietly, and slipped back downstairs. I sat down on a chair and waited for them to come down.

After a few minutes they did. Krissy's face was bright red, but she was smiling. Daniel looked as if all of his dreams had come true at once. "Daniel, can I talk to you for a minute?"

He seemed startled, but shrugged. "Of course." I got up and walked outside, beckoning for him to follow. He did so with a little reluctance. Krissy tried to follow, but I held up my hand. "Krissy love, this is between Daniel and I." Krissy sat on the bed.

I shut the door behind Daniel. "Daniel, if you want to stay with Krissy I have this to say. If you hurt her in any way, emotionally or phsyically, you'll have me to answer to. I don't care how useful you are to our group." He opened his mouth to say something, but I stopped him. "It's not that I think you will hurt her, but if you do, you had better watch your back. Do you understand that?"

Krissy:

A smile bloomed on her lips as her face flushed again. She hadn't been expecting that at all and it had made her feel the happiest ever. Maria slipped back through the door quietly, her face serious, but there was a glint of amusement in her eyes. Krissy jumped up and hugged her dearest friend tightly.

"Oh Maria! I'm so happy, I can't bel- believe it! Oh Maria! Daniel--"

Maria interrupted the excited girl, looking into Krissy's eyes she could see a true happiness which the poor girl hadn't experienced in the longest time.

"I know dearie. I know, I'm happy for you." said Maria, a smile forming. "Now I'm going to get a little sleep before the sun rises."

Krissy watched Maria disappear up the stairs, looking out the window she saw the sun was rising already. Krissy laughed, Maria knew her better than she knew herself. Her gaze ran over the trees and stopped and Daniel, already hard at work with the axe and logs. Krissy sighed happily before turning away to prepare a little breakfast for the most important, and incredible people in her grey, blood-soaked world.

Daniel
It was full morning now, the sky was beautiful clear blue sky. He had worked since down til nine o clock almost and was somehow tired. He sat down n a large log and stared at the blue horizon. It looked as if it was a beautiful day, very calm and peaceful, very cool. He let the cool wind touch his face in the softest of maners and started falling how two soft hands suddenly patted his back and carress his hair.
Where thy real or....? so he opened his eyes and turned around to see the face he loved. Kirssy was behind him smiling but Maria was there as well with an amused expression in her face.
"We should eat something" Krissy said softly. "How about here, I'll bring the food"
But before he could answer she was already flying to the kitchen. HOw can someone that is so tough in battle so as sweet as this? He wondered.

"What?" He asked Maria who was staring at him with laughter in her eyes.

"Nothing, you look funny all blushing everytime, tomato!" She said laughing.

Maria

I watched Krissy and Daniel happily. Krissy's needed someone for a long time now. I'm happy for her.

But there was something else that I was feeling. I couldn't help but feel a little sad. I wish someone cared about me like that.

I shook my head and pulled myself out of my thoughts. Krissy came back carrying food. She seemed to see my sad expression. "What's wrong Maria?"

I smiled. "Nothing love."

KAYLA

She hadn't killed those girls and she knew it. Yes, she had started the fire, but only to destry their refuge area.

She tapped her chin thoughtfully. Those girls and maybe even that boy was too smart to have just died in the fire. No. If she had learned anything from them, it was that n one should ever underestimate them.

"Kayla?" Grayson asked, walking towards her. Kayla sighed.

"What Grayson, I'm not in the mood," she relied.

GRayson laughed. "What? Are you nt going to rub in how amazing you are?" He asked. Kayla rolled her eyes.

She had almost forgotten that she was pretending to be smug lately and rubbing everythin in the others faces. She didn't want it to be known that she doubted the Rogue.

"We're going to look for the stranger who attacked Jas," Grayson told her. Kayla laughed.

"Let him kill her," she shrugged. GRayson frowned.

"We've already lost Gryk, we can't lose any more of us or we'll be in deep trouble," Grayson scolded. Kayla sighed, loudly.

"I don't think I'm going to go," she told him.

"Kayla we need you. We need another tracker and you're the best damn fighter here," Grayson laughed. Kayla flushed with pleasure, though she tried to hide it. Grayson never complimented her.

"Better than you?" She asked, grinning, wickedly. Graysn shook his head and laughed loudly.

"Let's not get carried away," he joked. Kayla nodded. If she went she could get a good lk out for signs of Krissy...she knew she should go.

"Fine, but if Jas mimics me one more time, I quit, got it. I've seen her doing it when she thinks I'm not looking," KAyla said, crossing her arms over her chest. "And Jas is not in charge. I listen to no one."

GRayson rolled his eyes. "You can be such a snobby little brat, can't you," he laughed. "Well, wish granted, now will you hurry and cme along? Jas is waiting."

**Hey, Gssp, what do you say we have a sort of twisted little love going on. Grayson and Maria could fall for each other and since both are loyal to different people, well...yeah. lol. Just an idea, feel free to reject it lol.**

Note: JustDance=] is going to be joining our storybook, as far as I know. If she doesn't get in her application in the next two days, go ahead and figure out how to get this twisted romance started. If you can get Maria close enough to Grayson without killing him. Hunting traps anyone?

Also, Tiger, you can have Kayla doubt their deaths but I need you to be unsure. I am trying to slow down the plot.
So you can doubt secretly but no action against that doubt until I've given the go ahead. I think it would be a smarter idea to have them sneak back into the city undetected, so a big fight can be in order.

Any questions?

Jas

The bell over the door rang shrilly as we walked into the potions shop, knives drawn. The clerk at the counter looked up from his money box, eyes widening with fear.

"I'm sorry, we're closed now," he said, paling. "Could you come -"

I slammed a piece of paper on the counter in front of him. "Word on the street is that you're selling Thylonian Fire Powder. Is this true?"

"I don't - don't know what you're talking about," he said. A bead of sweat trickled down his forehead.

Grayson came up behind me. "I think you do," he said, twirling his knife between his fingers so that the blade flashed in the fading sunlight. "Who have you sold it to in the past six months?"

"P-people," the man stammered. His eyes followed Kayla, who was prowling between the shelves, examining the various vials and bottles stacked on the racks.

"Write their names down," I said, pushing the piece of paper at him. "All of them, and don't even think about lying to us, or we'll bring the wrath of the Rogue down on you," I added when he hesitated. The man seized a pen and began frantically scribbling on the paper, his hand shaking. What a coward, I thought, disgusted.

"Here," he said, pushing the paper at me. "That's all of them."

I looked at the list. Only three names were on it. "All right. Ready to go, Kayla, Grayson?"

Grayson nodded and followed me to the door. After a moment, Kayla joined us, slipping something into her pocket that looked suspiciously like a vial.

Krissy:

I sat on a rotting log watching Daniel as his arms flexed and loosened on the axe. He'd been chopping wood all day, refusing to let me even touch the axe. The beautiful clear sky had slowly been eaten up by threatening storm clouds. A few minutes later the drizzle began, getting harder by the minutes. I stood up smiling, enjoying the rain as it hit my cheeks softly. Daniel looked up at me curiously and I giggled.

"Remember when we spun in th' streets when it w's rainin', when we wer' kids?" I said gleefully.

"Of course," smiled Daniel "Then we'd get dizzy and fall into the puddles."

"Let's do it again! Com' on Daniel!" I laughed, reaching for his hands.

Daniel carefully balanced his axe on a log then reaching for my hands. We spun in the rain, slowly then quickly before falling backwards into the mud, laughing whole - heartedly. I looked up to Daniel, through my dripping hair. I giggled again, and looked up to the grey sky. My heart fluttered with my happiness, looking back to Daniel I laughed.

"I love you Daniel, I really do."

With that I stood up and dragged him inside before we caught a cold.

****I'm so sorry I haven't posted Kammie, really***

Daniel
Spiining in the rain was one of his favorite things to do and doing it with Krissy was definitely beautiful, a moment ot remmeber even after his death. Unfortunately, she was too careful and didn't want them to get wet. He loved that she was always one step ahead of everyone even at her excruciatingly young age.
Inside was Maria looking out the window, she looked thoughtful.

"Krissy, love, you should get some dry clothes" He said to her as he gave her aquick kiss. Even those small kissed were worth more than gold or money for him. She went upstairs with her quick pace while he headed to Maira who was still sitting looking out the window.

"So, what's wrong tih joking Maria?" He asked her smiling making her smile a bit.

"Nothing" She said turning her head around and refusing to see him. He knew Maria since he was like thirteen years old and he and his siter had began fighting with the Rogue. He knew that there was something wrong with her.

"Maria, I know you, you can trick anyone but Kirssy and me, so..." He sat down next to her, looking at her sad expression, looking at how things changed between the three of them in less than a day. he thought about how much she cared about Krissy and that maybe she wasn't fine with it.
"is it about Krissy?"

"NO, never, I'm happy for her and...for you" She exclaimed. "You look so happy and...I love her like a sister and you...well, now you're part of the small family we have"
He took that as a compliment, he liked being called part of Krissy's family. He didn't have a family and having Krissy and Maria as family was the best family he could ever get.

"She loves you, you know? I can see it and you look like a fol when you're near her" she said with a diferent tone in her voice. So much for a normal moment with her, he thought. " and I see how you care for her, how you would go to hell instead of condeming her"

There was a moment of silence, painful silence and he somehow figured out what was wrong with her. And maybe it was not jealousy for he knew she would never do that to Krissy but maybe it was her hope of finding that.

"Have you ever been in love, Maria?" He asked her. SHe quickly turned ot him and loked at him wide eyed but in that moment Krissy was coming down wearing atunic. SHe rarely wore that for she was always fighting and getting hurt. But today, she looked beautiful and he couldn't help o get up and go to her.
