Lyanna

"Let me tell you a story..." Lyanna did her best to keep from coughing as Dylan began speaking. "About eight years ago my younger sister caught pneumonia. For a while it seemed like she'd get better, but..." He broke off and looked down. Lyanna forced herself to sit up, even though it hurt. "But?"

"Her immune system couldn't fight it off." Dylan said quietly. "She died in front of my eyes. She was eight years old. I couldn't bear to have it happen to you."

She felt pity well up inside of her. "I'm sorry." She said quietly. Dylan shrugged. Lyanna sighed, and coughed a few times before speaking. "My turn."

**Sorry that I haven’t posted**

David had followed the others. He made sure to avoid Gillim. He didn’t like Gillim. He had the mind of a child. Still he couldn’t get into a fight with him, all he could do was avoid him. He followed along in silence. He stayed in the back, carefully watching the others. Looking for something to happen. Then he stopped. He leaned forwards onto his knees. He looked around. Everything was changing color. Then his head started spinning.
“What’s happening..?”
His words were nothing but a whisper, hardly loud enough to actually be considered words. The edges of his vision started to darken. Little by little the darkness around the edge of his vision crept slowly towards the middle. He found himself unable to see. He fell forwards. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t speak. He had a hard time understanding what was happening around him. His hearing was warped. From what he could understand was that there was speaking. He couldn’t make out any words. He also felt pain on his nose. It wasn’t bleeding. But it still hurt. He tried to move, tried to pull his arm forwards. All he managed to do was make his fingers twitch.
All I can hear; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". Even those tears; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". No one's frightened of playing it. Everyone's saying it. Flowing more freely than wine. All through your life; "I me mine".

Dylan

He turned his head when she said, ‘”My turn.’”

She had gotten into a half-sitting up position and looked as if she was trying to stop her coughing. “My family…”

Dylan could not believe what he heard, having been the only one to survive the car accident. He stared in shock at her, “I’m so sorry you had to go through that.”

“It’s been hard without them,” She looked at him with one of the saddest faces he had ever seen, her eyes had some moister in them, and her skin had cooled down a few degrees.

Dylan realized then that he was still holding her hand; he gave it another squeeze and gave her a smile. “It’s okay now; I guess we can survive together through this.”

She smiled in return, and a faint color came into her cheeks. Dylan’s eyes opened in surprise, My, God! She’s beautiful! He leaned forward and rested his elbows on the edge of her bed. “Okay, enough of our pasts, let’s get to know each other.”

David's head pitched forward, his whole body flopping onto the floor. No-one had noticed apart from me. Sharona, Gillim and Tanya had been walking ahead; I'd been a little behind them and David had been behind me. I'd just heard the faint hiss of the words he'd tried to speak before he blacked out.
I ran to his side and crouched down.
"David? David? What's happening? What's wrong?"
Only his fingers twitched slightly.
I looked up desperately and saw that the others had turned the corner and hadn't stopped. I got to my feet and was about to run after them when a nurse walked towards us.
"What's happening?" she asked in a brisk tone. "Why is this patient out of his bed?"
I shook my head miserably. "He's not a patient! He's just fainted for a second. It was the blood, I'm sure of it. Would you mind putting him in an empty room until he comes round? It'll only be a few minutes."
She thought for a second and nodded, motioning to a door just down the corridor. Between us we managed to get David into the room and onto the bed. As soon as the nurse left I ran down the corridor after the others calling Tanya's name.

Lyanna

Lyanna nodded. "Okay."

"Um..." Dylan thought for a moment. "Favorite book?"

She shrugged. "I'm not sure. There's a lot of books that I like."

Dylan nodded. "What kind of foods do you like?"

Lyanna thought for a minute. "Pasta."

"How many times have you moved to a new house?"

She wrinkled her forehead. "Um... Forty two in the past ten years... I think."

TANYA

She smiled at Sharonda. "I think that Dylan and Lyanna are getting along great," she laughed, winking a little. "It's nice to see that they can find someone to really talk to. They both deserve it."

Gilliam seemed a little out of place here. Tanya looked out of the window to see a dark figure rushing towards the hospital. WAs that...Damion?

"Tanya," he smiled. She ran towards him and hugged him tightly.

"I didn't think you were coming back!" She squealed delightedly. "I'm glad you did. But...why are you in a tux?"

Tanya raised an eyebrow, shocked. Damion wasn't into those sorts of things. In fact, Tanya was surprised he even let her hug him.

"I've got to tell you. The king and queen are leading a search party. Clotho and Marneus are searching the Lost City and I told them I would look here," Damion said, serious now. "Oh and there's one other thing. Someone else knows about you."

"Who?" Tanya asked, eyes wide.

"Me," came a small, soft voice behind her. Tanya whirled around.

"Laurie?" She asked, almost as if she couldn't believe it. Laurie was one of the people she missed most from the Lost City. "Oh my goodness...Laurie!"

Tanya launched herself at her good friend, feeling like she would cry for joy. She couldn't be upset that Laurie knew. It felt too good to see her...to hug her.

"Why have you stayed away so long?" Laurie demanded, hugging her tighter.

"Long story," she laughed. "It's not the appropriate time. One of my friends is sick and-"

"Tanya!" Sadie cried. Tanya turned to see Sadie rushing towards her. Tanya instantly turned serious.

"Sadie...calm down. What's wrong? Is Lyanna alright? What's going on?" Tanya questioned.

Tanya was with Gillim, Sharonda and two other faeries I didn't know. She looked so happy I felt a little bad about giving out more bad news.

"Lyanna's fine. She's probably more than fine actually, you see those looks Dylan gave her?" I shook my head and got to the point. "David collapsed in the corridor, he can't move and he's not responding. I managed to get him into a free room but you might want to take a look at him."

She nodded and set off the way we came, going back round the corner and entering the room that I pointed to.

I felt more relaxed now, Tanya could sort everything out. I followed her into the room and watched as she took her place at his bedside.

David

What was wrong? He couldn’t help but asking himself. As he laid there motionless. His mind was perfectly active, and so he was trying to think of a way he could force himself back to normal. He could almost see, but still, his eyes wouldn’t open. He felt another presence here, someone whom he respected. He couldn’t place whom it was exactly. Slowly he tried once more to open his eyes. He didn’t realize that they were opened only a hair. He could almost make out a figure. Though this was Tanya he saw a dark hooded figure, standing at the far end of a dark, misty road.

He shut his eyes again, it was quite a strain. During this effort his body twitched in a few places. The people on the outside of his body seemed to notice the twitching. Still the words could not be understood. He wished they could though. From there he went to ponder, what went wrong? And, what could I have done to avoid this? For the first few minutes he didn’t come up with anything. But he almost mumbled.
All I can hear; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". Even those tears; "I me mine, I me mine, I me mine". No one's frightened of playing it. Everyone's saying it. Flowing more freely than wine. All through your life; "I me mine".

TANYA

"David," she called softly. "David, are you alright?"

David didn't seem to give any response, though Tanya thought she saw his mouth twitch. She pursed her lips. It must have only been a paranoid hope because nothing else happened.

Tanya put her hand on the side of his face, gently, and turned to the others. "I'm not sure if there is any spell I can cast to help him. I'm already a little tired from earlier, but I will do my very best to help him.

Damion looked slightly concerned, but seemed a little preoccupied with Laurie. Tanya ground her teeth. Sometimes he could really get on her nerves, though he was considerate at times.

She looked down at him. "David, are you stuck between the worlds? What is this?" Tanya asked, holding his hand, tightly. "Please help me to help you."

Dylan

Dylan smiled at Lyanna, "Wow, that many? I don't think I could survive 10."

"It was hard, at first, but it got easier as I moved from place to place," Lyanna shrugged, wincing when her shoulders came up.

"Careful," Dylan reached his other hand out to comfort her shoulder. Then put it down awkardly when it wasn't needed.

Dylan then had a serious look come over his face, "Would you mind if I asked a question about guys?"

"Sure, what do you want to know?"

"Well, have you ever been in a relationship with someone before?"

Lyanna

Lyanna was slightly surprised with this question. She hadn't been expecting that. And now that she thought about it...

"No. I would move around so quickly. I tried not to get close to people because of it. It was hard enough going to different parents every three months or so without having to deal with losing friends too. Why do you ask?"

**Sorry this is so short, but I dunno how Dylan would react.**

Dylan

"Oh, I was just wondering," He shrugged, trying to pretend that it wasn't important to him. He looked down at the ground, knowing that if she saw his eyes she would see the truth in them. That he was begining to get attached to her, more than he felt comfortable with.

Lyanna looked as if she wanted to ask him something, but she seemed hesitant to.

"Okay, shoot," He said.

"What?" Her eyes opened in surprise of the question.

"I know you want to ask me something, so shoot," He smiled at her, relieved that he could get his mind off of where it had been going.

"Well..."

Lyanna

Lyanna wasn't used to just being able to chat with someone. Either she avoided it, or her current 'parents' dragged her off before she could say much. It felt nice. Lyanna was slightly confused though. Dylan had seemed uncomfortable when she had asked him why he had asked her about relationships, and she didn't understand why. But she was sure that it would make him even more uncomfortable if she asked him that. So she tried steering away from that topic.

Dylan

Dylan blinked, he didn't expect that question form her."Well, I've never thought of it before. Humph," He was acutally stupmed. He had always found a way to make do with what he had from month to month. "I guess it would have to be companionship. I've always been alone for the past 10 years of my life because my parents were always working after my sister died. Then they died about 2 years ago, so that is what I would want."
