It's so cool! I love it. Still exploring and everything, but so far I've only got one complaint, which I think was mentioned before. In some of the literary forums, the automatic break and indent isn't working. I'd really like that back, I think it was the best feature of the whole site. At least, it made me very happy.

Keep up the good work <3.

On forums with an "&" in their title, "amp;" shows up right after.

Also, the spaces in blog comments is a bit off. I keep reading the signature as part of the comment.

I'll probably have more later; I've just begun to poke around.

Woah, thanks everyone! There's too many to respond individually to, but suffice to say that when people ask something along the lines of "Is this supposed to be missing?", the answer is no. There's stuff I completely forgot about, and there's other stuff that I've had on my task list for a while.

What I'll be doing next is cleaning up the topic pages. I already have Gold Stars working again; now I have to get the review counts and layouts working again as well. After that, I'll slowly tackle everything that people have brought up.

Poking around more...

Chat will not let me enter. It says "Wrong Password" every time I try to enter. I use this password for just about everything, and I even logged in again to make sure that the password was the same.

Which brings me to another point: When I logged in a second time today, I was told I had exeeded the maximum number of log-ins for the day and had to type in a security code. What might have happened is I unchecked "Remember Me" because I didn't want to be logged-in every time I visited.

And a subpoint to the one above is, I quit safari (completely; Macs work so you need to hit "Command Q" to quit something) and when I opened safari back up I was still logged in to YWS. And I'm pretty sure I had "log me in every time I visit" unchecked.

Good to see you're on top of it, Nate! ^_^

I can see that you're not that busy at all, though, so I just wanted to mention the when I go to compose a PM, it looks very very broken. The area where I'd thing the message body box would go is grey, with a rectangle of different font color options in the middle of it. The message body box itself is a small little vertical rectangle off to the side.
I don't know if the spoiler tags are still up and running or not. Maybe I've just forgotten what they are. [spoiler] [spoil] [other spoil something?] In any case, here's a screen shot of it. It's a tad on the big side, and I didn't want to be the first to stretch the new YWS forums. :P Here's the link to it, in any case.

http://twitpic.com/f0y9b/full

It doesn't matter if I go to my inbox and then click compose, or if I hit "PM Me" under a member's name to compose. Whichever course I take, I get that.

On a nicer note, I really really love how, if you're reading a story in the fiction section and you click "PM ME" under the author's name, the subject line is automatically "RE: <Story title here>" ^_^ Very awesome, Nate.

Every time I click into something, I find something new. I's like an Easter egg hunt on YWS. "How many new features can you find?" Very cool.

EDIT: something else, probably one I'll fix myself after this, but my signature is automatically placed after my blog posts, but not after my forum posts. XD Thought that was kinda goofy. Will tinker with it in a minute, but if this is set as a default setting for all members, perhaps it could be tweaked to include forum posts?

EDIT2: Nooope, I have the box clicked to automatically attach my signature in forum posts. And yet my sig does not show. Hurm. Something is amiss here.

EDIT3: BBCode is set to off and isn't working for me, even though when I go under my preferences, under posting defaults, it says that BBCode is checked to automatically work, always. Then again, it says the same thing about my sig. Perhaps it's just Vista being buggy? Or maybe it's just this thread. Haven't posted in any of the others yet.

First of all, it's amazing and beautiful and an abundance of other positive adjectives, which are too numerous for me to include. ^_^ But thanks for all the time and work you've put into YWS. It's paid off!

As for possible things missing, is there somewhere we can check to see if we've gotten reviews? Like the tab that used to be under 'My YWS'. I probably haven't poked around enough, but I couldn't find it. ^_^

That's all I could find for now, but I'll be sure to post again if I find something else! Thanks again, Nate! It's great.

~Evi

EDIT: Also, if you search a member's username, their profile isn't on the first page of the search results, I noticed. (At least not on the search I made.) This isn't a big deal, I suppose, but I just thought I'd point it out. ^^

:P

I think you had mentioned before that in the Blog Config, there was a link to transfer your previous blog settings over to this one, but if there is, I'm not finding it. Maybe it's because I've already selected a different template and given it a title? (Meaning, I've already sorta customized it.)

I don't know whether or not someone has pointed this out already, but I can't find any direct link to the inbox. Also, when sending a private message the message box is just a small rectangle under the emotes.

Other than that, everything looks great. It'll take me some time to get used to the new look after spending four years looking at the old site's layout. :)

Hi Nate! You've done an awesome job. I was just wondering about one thing. When I go to the home page, and scroll down there's a link that says 'The Team'. I thought it was a list of the YWS staff, but I wasn't there. Than it couldn't be a list of members, because neither me or some other people I know were there. So, what exactly is it and why am I not in it =P ?

Thanks for all the effort! The wait really paid off =D

Go to "My YWS" and click "Message Center."

EDIT- And, as you can see from the correctly-coded quote above, the BBCode isn't working in this forum. (In fact, I see "BBCode is OFF" next to where I'm typing.

I just found an issue if it's an issue at all.

I checked under drafts, and I saw that I had nothing in there, which didn't worry me as I had nothing of interest saved anyway. At first I thought that had simply been lost, but then I encountered one of my half-written topics in Writer's Corner (now deleted), so now I'm wondering what's happened to them all. It was dated August 15th, when I wrote/saved it, and so any others would probably be floating in old part of the forums, as I made some of them a year ago, but I thought it was worth addressing.

It was just a little odd. ^^

I know I've already pm'd you about this Nate, but I figure that everyone should see the answer, and not just me. I think the link to edit the Bio in the profile page is MIA. That, or I just can't figure out how to do it...

I clicked on the "Global Moderators" list and it only gave one actual mod (Snoink) on the list. The rest were... interesting.
