**Erm, Beth is excited about seeing the dragons up close. She just didn't want to break the rules ^_^**

Bethany

The walked deep into the forest. Creatures scurried along, their showdows making her even more excited. She had only ever read about these creatures. She was fascinated with them and getting to see them up close was like a dream come true.

"They say that dragons don't hang too close to the trees," Bethany started. "We might be able to see them in the air, but it won't be close up. Besides, the canopy is too thick here. We would need open space and possibly even a hill to see them really close."

Violet grinned at her, her hair turning a brilliant blue. "I know."

Beth couldn't help but smile back. She may be breaking the rules, but thinking of that would only kill her excitement. Right now she was ready to see the dragons.

Violet~~

Their foot steps echoed through the eerie forest path, it seemed like nothing could live in the dense thickets that surrounded them. But soon the path broke off, one into a clearing and the other looking like it led to a water source.

"Let's go this way!" Violet exclaimed, heading towards the opening in the forest.

"No if you want to see some night dragons go to the water source!" Beth whispered sharply, "It's the beginning of the night they will be waking up and approaching a water source."

"WHy are you whispering?" Lyla whispered back.

"Why do you think? What if someone.. I mean something heard us?" Beth whispered back, her voice worried.

"Nothing will hear us and it probably won't care!" Violet spoke normally.

"Yes they will, dragons are very territorial." BEth let the group know. Violet took the smart one's cast into consideration since she knew for a fact she knew more than she did. Violet led the group with the dim light of her wand, their steps now swallowed by the forest. The sat behind a bush, on the other side of the main side of the bank. Violet let her wand's light fade back into the wood, and it was competely dark.
Large footsteps filled the air, followed by large yet smaller footsteps. The glowing creatures came close to the water, one was larger, the mother? Her child followed behind, both of thier snouts glowed a pale green illuminating the peaceful darkness.

"No way," Beth whispered, "I thought Featherkind Illuminecints were extinct!" Her voice raised an octave.
The mother dragon lifted her snout and breathed in, taking the scent in with her nostrils.

"Crap," Violet breathed and the Dragon answered with a snarling growl like thing, "Run!!"
The girls were on their feet dashing for their lives. The dragon was close behind, unable to take to air for the woods were too thick. Violets hair was the color of blood, pure fear. They were trippeing over trees and anything in their path.

Bethany

She took off. The dragon wouldn't be able to get them once they reached the thickest part of the forest. The dragon roared and same after them with the fierceness and protectivness only a mother could have.

"Hurry!" I yelled to the others. "We have to get out of here. Head for the thickest part of the forest!"

The girls sped up, all of them tripping over the wood. Then, Kyla tripped over a large branch and fell, twisting her ankle slightly. Beth turned back. The mother dragon was coming.

"Kyla!" Violet screamed, both of them running back. Beth gasped, horrified. This was a fire dragon, Kyla was in deep trouble. Beth stopped. Fire dragon!

''Fere mu nero!" Beth yelled, pointing her wand towards the dragon. Water, surrounded the dragon, causing it to sizzle. The mother dragon roared, but couldn't produce a flame. Kyla trembled but looked back at her, frightened.

The dragon turned and soared back to it's child. She obviously just wanted us away from it. Beth sank to the ground. She didn't know how she did that spell. She had seen it a couple of times, but had never performed anything like it!

"A-Are you both al-alright?" Beth stammered. She didn't want to see any more dragons tonight. She wanted to go back to the castle.

**Oh just so you know, the spell actually says "Bring me water!" in Greek. (:**

Kyla

Kyla continued to tremble, frozen in place on the ground, staring up at her two companions. It took her a few moments to find her voice, then she muttered, "F-- fine."

"I'm alright," Violet whispered, her hair slowly lightening from it's deep red. "You?"

Beth just nodded, her wand shaking slightly in her hand. Kyla pushed herself into a sitting position, drawing her legs up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. "Thanks, Beth, for saving me, you know. Sorry I'm such a klutz."

"Anytime," Beth muttered, smiling weakly. Kyla returned the weak smile, calming down just a bit.

"That certainly was interesting," Violet whispered, looking around the forest. "I mean, have you ever seen dragons up close like that?" Now that the danger had subsided, her eyes were shining with excitement again.

Kyla grinned, abandoning her fearful position and jumping to her feet. "It was amazing! And no one got hurt, which makes it that much better!"

"Still," Beth muttered, clambering to her feet as well. "We should probably be getting back to the castle, before, you know, anyone realizes we're gone."

"I agree," Kyla answered at once, nodding vigorously. Her close encounter with the dragon had broken even her cheerful resolve. Her safe bed was suddenly seeming much more welcoming than a forest full of dragons.

The three girls turned and started walking back toward the edge of the forest. They were silent at first, but Violet spoke up after a few moments. "Wasn't that awesome, though, Beth? Aren't you glad you came?"

Beth hesitated for a moment, then her face broke into a wide grin. "Yeah," she answered, "it was pretty amazing."

Violet~~

Violet's hair was an illuminant orange, the thrills of the night still after her. The girls walked in excited chatters, making it back into the building. The treelined paths of the school were now illuminated by the eeire glow of the lanterns that always seemed to light themselves. Violet's smile was large and plastered against her face.

"Our faces must have been priceless," Violet giggled and looked down at the bruises on her legs with a content sigh.

"YEah and-" Kyla laughed but was stopped in her tracks.

"Where in bloody hell have you three been?" A dark shadow infront of the three asked, thier voice biting.

Im just gonna go ahead and write since Sumer seems to be away

Tristin~~

I walked away from the group and went to a table. Food popped up magically and I filed my plate. I ate slowly, savoring each bite of the chicken pot pie. It wasn't my favorite dish, but I was so hungry, I didn't really care. After My plate was cleared I grabbed an ice-cream bar from a bowl on the table and started walking back to my room. I stopped though when I heard a voice shout out angrily, "Where in bloody hell have you three been?""
