Lucas

I stared down at my plate and leaned in closer to my sister who had her fists balled up as if it was killing her to be sitting with our friends.

Not our friends, Lucas, your friends I heard the thought from her and looked at me and blinked a couple of times. This was normal for us, being capable of hearing each other's thoughts, though it was a pain.

"I think that we're-" I started.

"Going to leave" Leslie finished and we both got up form our seats at the same time. Evangeline was still sitting at her table, alone, as we passed her. She looked up at me and I smiled, she really was pretty.

Leslie

"Lucas, we need" I said until I was finished with Lucas's 'to go' which he said understandingly. He knew as well as I did that neither of us needed to get caught up in a relationship in school, we had goals we needed to make and with our minds in other places we weren't going to be able to practice our magic.

As we walked back to our rooms our steps were the same, I pulled my right foot, he did the same. It had been like this for years and quite normal for us.

**Anyone want to pull their characters into a conversation with the twins? Oh and them not being able to have a relationship doesn't mean they won't ;)**

Bethany

The shocked look on Violet's face was almost funny. Like she didn't know.

"Well we've never really talked before," she started, fidgeting. Why did she have to explain. Like it wasn't obvious. Beth was the quiet little bookworm who stuck to herself. Violet...well, she was pretty and charasmatic.

"Yeah, but, that doesn't mean we shouldn't," she smiled.

"Oh," she replied, staring at her feet. "Well, you don't have to talk to me just because we both were called up there by the headmster. Honestly, I don't expect to be at too many more meetings. I'm certain that he made a mistake."

"Talking to you just because we were both with the headmaster?" She asked, insulted. Her hair changed to a less vibrant, dull color. Beth smiled. She enjoyed Violet's hair colors.

"Was that not why you talked to me?" She asked, confused. "Did you need something?"

"No. I was trying to be nice," Violet frowned. "Is that why you didn't sit with me?"

Now Beth was really confused. "I just thought...well, you've never really invited me to sit with you and - well, you have tons of freinds and I have none," Beth finally sighed. "I figured you would want to be with them."

**I'm going to try to insert Evan into this somewhere...

Evan

Evan chewed his food slowly, watching the others who were in the headmaster's office chat with each other. Evan, however, was eating alone tonight. He chuckled to himself. Evan was used to it. He drifted between groups of people, never really anchoring to a select group of friends. And every once in a while, Evan would find himself alone.

Evan's gaze drifted over to where the la Croix twins were heading out of the dining hall. They seemed very serious about something. Or at least, Leslie did. Lucas seemed more embarrassed.

Evan stood up slowly and began to walk back to his own room. He smiled toward the la Croix twins as he passed them.

"Beautiful evening, isn't it?" said Evan pleasantly, nodding toward the giant window on the staircase landing. The moon cast a silvery glow around the landing, throwing the corners of the wall into deep shadow.

"Yeah, it is..." said Lucas appreciatively. Leslie glanced at her twin briefly before turning to look out the window herself. Evan noted that she hadn't said anything. He looked her over curiously. She seemed to notice, and met his gaze.

"What?" she asked.

Evan smiled at her. "I noticed that you hadn't said anything. Are you one of those people who prefer cloudy nights? My mother is... She says that the moon doesn't let her sleep."

Leslie stared at Evan, two very faint spots of color appearing in her cheeks.

Lucas

I put my hand on my sister's shoulder and looked at Evan, feeling the warmth on my cheeks as she had blushed at him. Yet another weird thing betwen the two of us.

"Leslie doesn't believe in beauty or something like that" I said to Evan and Leslie turned her head to me, I don't believe in outer beauty in 'people' she corrected me but I blocked out her thoughts, though I could still hear them.

"I think I asked her" Evan said.

"I don't, really... Like talking" Leslie finally told him.

Tristin~~

I lay on my bed for a while, trying not to think when I heard a grumbling. I sat up and raised my hand defensively, ready to fight. But there was nothing there. I looked around, and then it happened again. I looked at my stomach and grinned. I hadn;t eaten since this morning. I hopped out of bed and was about to grab the jacket I always wore, then decided to leave it, and just go in jeans and T-shirt.

I walked down the stairs quickly, teleporting when they started to shift. As I neared the cafeteria, I started to see people, and they didn't even give me a second look like they normally do. I let another smile slide onto my face.

I turned a corner and saw the La Croix twins and another guy, Eric I think, talking near a window. I started walking past, wondering if they would notice.

Evan

Evan laughed. "Well, that's a shame!" he said jovially. "Talking... Conversation... Well, plain social interaction, really - It is all human nature, isn't it?"

"Not for me," muttered Leslie.

Evan looked at her for a moment. "Ah, well... To each his own, I guess. Or her own, as the case often is..."

Leslie pointedly avoided Evan's eyes. With a small sigh, Evan turned to Lucas. "What about you?" he asked. "Do you share your sister's aversion to conversation?"

Lucas raised his eyebrows. "Well, - "

Evan caught movement in the corner of his eye. He turned to see Tristan de Leoness strolling past the group.

"Good evening," said Evan, smiling again. Tristan glanced at him.

"Er, hi Eric..."

Evan laughed. "It's Evan, actually. But if you would prefer, I suppose you could call me Eric."

Tristan raised an eyebrow, bewildered. "Evan is fine, actually. My mistake..."

**Hehe... Evan sticks out like a sore thumb in this crowd... :D

**Going to try to bring Kyla back in.**

Kyla had been sitting at Violet's table, as usual, when the La Croix twins had left, leaving her quite alone. She considered following them, but their odd method of silent communication creeped her out yet again. Maybe it would be more fun to find Violet . . .

She closed her eyes and focused on the familiar sound of Violet's voice. The rest of the noise of the cafeteria faded away in her head, and she could hear her clearly from a little ways away.

"Is that why you didn't sit with me?" she was saying. Kyla turned her head in the direction that she heard Violet's voice and smiled. She was talking to that Bethany girl Kyla had seen a few times. From what she'd gathered, Bethany really needed a friend. Thinking that maybe she could help, Kyla jumped cheerfully from her seat and skipped over to them.

"Hiya, everyone," she announced, jumping into the circle. "What's up? Hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Violet smiled at her in a vaguely amused sort of way, her hair lightening a shade. "Uh, no, Kyla. You're not." She glanced at Bethany, then addressed Kyla again. "Kyla, this is Bethany. Bethany, Kyla."

"Nice to meet you," Kyla said cheerfully, grinning broadly.

"Um . . . likewise," Bethany replied nervously, looking at Kyla as though there were some ulterior motive to her arrival.

Bethany

"It's Beth actually. Just call me Beth," she smiled, self consciously. She felt a little odd around Violet and her freind.

"Pardon me," Bethany swallowed. "But I'm a bit tired. I was actually just headed up to my dorm."

"Oh," Kyla said, frowning.

"Well, will join you then," Violet smiled at her. "If you'd like."

"Well, um, of course," Beth blushed. It was very nice of them both. She never really interacted with other people before.

She walked with the other girl to the dormitories. She opened the door to her room.

"This is a big book," Violet said, holding it up with two hands, and looking at it as if it might bite her. Bethany laughed.

"It's a book full of my favorite quotes and poems," she smiled at them. Beth opened somewhere to the middle.

"How far that little candle throws his beams. So shines a good deed in a weary world," Beth smiled, sighing a little. That was one of her favorite quotes.

She looked back to the others. "I'm sorry, I must be boring you. Um, would you both like to join my for a walk outside?"

Okay, I'm lost :( can someone bring me in again? pleeease?
Your = Possession. Your shoes are so sweet!
You're = Omission. You're quite strange...

If you are confused about which to put, simply say in your mind "you are" and see if that fits the sentence. If not, you are looking for your.

Violet~~~

Violet smiled at Beth and then at Lyla, her eyes twinkling with an idea.

"Hey why don't we take a walk somewhere else?" a grin was insued across Violet's doll like face. She grinned and ran through, out of the dorms. time for adventure! She was diend to walk into the forbidden forest for a while. She had attempted to before but was pulled out by the students she had taken with her.

"Let's go!" Violet said, "we can go dragon watching. The cool ones come out at night!" The sun was slowly sinking, the path to the forest grew dimmer and dimmer.

Bethany

Bethany trailed after Violet and stopped dead in her tracks.

"I-I don't think I'm going with you," Beth replied. She wasn't about to break the rules for them!

"Chicken?" She asked with a smug grin.

"Of course not!" She replied, insulted. "You DO know it's called the 'forbidden' forest, right? As in it's off limits."

"I'm not an idiot," she laughed. "C'mon!"

Bethany sighed. "I'm not going. It's forbidden, Violet."

"They only call it that so you'll go in," she replied with a shrug.

"I'm not about to break the rules! I love dragons, they are fascinating creatures, but I won't break the rules to go look at some."

"Are you chicken?" She asked again. "Please, Beth. It'll be fun."

Bethany sighed, exasperated. This girl was about to get her expelled. Still, it would be pretty neat to explore, not only the forest, but the creatures inside. She had read so much about all of them.

"Fine," Beth grimaced. Violet grinned and took her hand, dragging Beth towards the forest with her. Kyla was on Violet's other side and looked like she would drag her by her other hand if she put up a fight.

"I'm blaming you if we get caught," BEth grumbled, knowing it wasn't the truth.

Kyla

Kyla walked along with them, her usual broad smile on her face. "It's totally going to be worth it! Dragons look so cool in books! It'll be awesome to see them in real life!"

"Wait, how close are we getting?" Bethany asked suddenly, her eyes going wide. She clearly hadn't factored this into the equation before.

Violet's grin broadened, a fearless sense of adventure lighting her features. "As close as we can, of course! The view's better up close."

Beth hesitated, pulling back a bit on Violet's grip. With a comforting smile, Kyla took her other hand and continued pulling her forward. "Don't worry. Everything will be just fine!"

"How can you be so sure?" Beth asked skeptically. "I mean, if we do get hurt, it's going to be a lot harder to hide the fact that we were there!"

Kyla giggled, less fearless than just overly trusting. "We're magic, silly! Nothing's going to go wrong!"

"And in the Headmaster's new group and everything," Beth grumbled, but allowed herself to be dragged along toward the forest.
