Violet~

Violet's hair glowed a pale blue, her mood? Absolute boredom, it would be exciting she were in here for something else. Violet's hair went neon when the girl, Evangline, talked to her. It was strange and new for Evangline to talk to her. She always seemed so quiet, so uncaring of the other people's feelings. Eh, but Violet respected her for being so stony and kind of wanted to get to know her more. Violet giggled her hair changing to a fun yellow, drawing the eyes of the silent others, her hair turned back to a more serious blue as she grew quiet again.

"Why are we here?" Violet asked, braver than the others in the shadows. Her hair was now glistening a softer blue, "Sir.." She added lastly.

"Interesting question." The head master commented, "Why are you here?

The room was silent, everyone expecting a clever answer.

"Your mind?" Some eye's gleamed, "To be the greatest witches and wizards the world has ever seen?" The twin's eyes met, the guy was wearing a smirk, "What about a thing called adventure?"

That's when Violet's hair turned the charismatic orange, it usually only turns after a rush.

"Ah! Sorry I'm late!" he burst into the room, almost dropping his books as he rushed to a free seat. "Sorry, so sorry - forgot." Then he blushed as he realised that might not be the most flattering thing to hear.

He flopped into his seat, exhausted. A few titters escaped from those around him. Flustered, he pushed his glasses back up his nose and peered around.

Just great. He knew none of these people; well, he knew of them, he just wasn't particularly close with any of them. Damn, so much for hoping at least one of his friends had been invited. To what, he wasn't sure exactly, but he'd feel so much better if he saw a friendly, familiar face.

Oh well.

"So, um, what were you talking about?"

Headmaster

As I counted the heads of all of my fourth years accounted for I stood up, the room silencing. Their eyes sparkling with wonder and curiousity. I took a long and deep breath before I began my speech.

"As you may have noticed your past couple of years in attendence of the Ivy Academy, you have much more special gifts then the rest of your school-mates. Some, are capable of combining two incredibly different abilties to make them so much more powerful then if they were alone" I said, pausing to take a look at the la Croix twins who fidgeted together as they were stared at. "Others, will someday be able to change their features completely" I paused again to look at Violet, her hair turning a slight pink as she blushed but quickly turned to green out of curiousity. "These are simply two in a long list of abilities some of you posses, now I know what you are thinking. I don't have anything special about me, it must be a mistake" I paused and took another breath, "Trust me, I am not wrong."

Tristin~~

I looked over at the La Croix twins and saw Leslie acting as if she was chewing something, even though she wasn't. A smile touched my lips for a second, then was gone. I took a chocolate bar out of my pocket that I had been saving and tossed it to her.

She didn't talk much, but she was one of the few people in the room who I could actually understand. She was mature, and reserved, something he could relate to.

***Yeah***

Leslie la Croix

How did the Headmaster know about what Lucas and I could do? I've never seen him watching us... I thought to myself. Maybe I didn't have to see him watching us.

I felt something fall into my lap, it was a chocolate bar. Looking up I saw Tristan nodding to it, a shy smile creeped across my face as I picked it up. When was the last time I'd eaten a chocolate bar? Yesterday? The day before? Far too long. I opened it and broke it in half, taping my brother on the shoulder who was listening intently to Headmaster Herring, which was odd.

"Where did you get this?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with happiness as he took his half from my hands and munched on it.

"Tristan gave it to me" I replied and started eating on my peice.

"Why?" my brother asked me, raising his eyebrow and looking to me then at Tristan.

Evangeline.
**Summer is Evangeline allowed to have a crush?***

I stood next to violet already gatting a bit annoyed by her forever changing hair color although it was fun to watch. The headmaster started speaking. He was saying something about us having special gifts. In that moment Violet's hair turned pink, I gave a her a mocking smile, but she didn't see it. I have to admit that I felt honored. I knew I was special, I had incredible powers. I could transform into any creature, I could make powerfull spells, and If I wanted to I could create illusions and get into their minds.
I shot a smug smile toward the headmaster. I continued looking around the room and found Beth. We used to be friends until last year I stopped talking to her. And far away in the distant corner of the room, was Lucas la Croix adn his siter. HE looked good, actually too good. His black hair making contrast with his eyes. His ayes gave a little spark everytime he was happy. I stared at him a long while.

Bethany

"Excuse me, headmaster," Bethany said, quietly. Everyone turned to her, the others she had told to be quiet earlier, glared at her.

"Yes, Bethany?" He asked, smiling.

She bit her bottom lip a little. "I think you made a mistake. I really am nothing special," she told him.

She shook his head. "I do not think I made a mistake," she told her.

"There is nothing special about me," she insisted.

"Nothing? Bethany, you make some of highest marks I've seen. You can perform spells that others in your year haven't even thought about," he laughed.

"But, headmaster," she sighed. "That comes from studying, sir. I can't change my apperance like that girl. I can't do...well, anything special."

He shook his head. "You'll see. They may hid themselves...even from you. You are very special."

Bethany blushed and didn't say anymore. She respected the headmaster and all...but she really wasn't special. She was just...Beth.

Philip

He scowled. Was this some kind of joke? Like Beth, he asked, "what's so special about me?" Beth was being modest, Philip was generally confused.
He'd been uncomfortable when everyone had started flirting with each other. Now, he was uncomfortable and confused. What was so wonderfully unique about him? "Other than me being the class clown." He'd muttered the last bit, but the headmaster still heard.
**Sorry it's so rushed and terrible. :( And for the flirting overreaction  silly philly **

Violet~~

When the girl Beth talked, Violet grinned. It was exciting to see this moment even bring out the quietest of people. The pink hair turned back to green, maybe this could help her change her whole appearence and not just her hair color. Her hair was now a mixture or green and orange aura. Evangline sat next to her smirking.

"Sir how will we learn these skills?" Someone asked, Violet deemed it Tristan.

"In ways the other students would never dreamed of," The headmaster winked.

"Then why us? Why not the older and wiser students of the school?" Violet voiced her concern for she was, very concerned.

"Because you are you," He looked about us, making eye contact with each of us, "Dismissed, see you tomorrow last period." He got up and led us to the large mahogany doors.

"Well he answered alot," Evangline said sarcastically.

The dinner bell rang like one might see in a church on sunday.

"Would anyone like to join a lonely girl?" violet asked smiling.

Bethany

"Would anyone like to join a lonely girl?" Violet asked, smiling. Beth sighed. Violet was not lonely. She was very pretty and rather popular with the others. She was not lonely.

Beth thought about the headmaster. Everyone he had brought in were extremely talented. Not like her. Books and intelligence weren't everything. She used to be freinds with Evangline...sort of. Then she stopped talking to her all together. Beth was alone except for her books. Always alone. That's why she did so well. Not because she was so talented.

Bethany left for dinner. Perhaps she could study a bit. She wasn't very hungry anyway. She knew things got weird around here, but sometimes things just got too weird.

She entered the room and sat alone, opening a huge book, reading it eagerly. She loved to read.

**Anyone want to join Beth? She needs a freind. (: She's real freindly.**

Everyone was going to dinner with Violet, she was popular and cute. I wasn't, or at least they though that. I noticed Lucas and his sister going. I so wanted to go and see him a little more but I knew that eventually I was going to be the beginning of a problem. People dared to do that, but they lost most of the time.
I saw Beth going to a room alone. I remembered last year, when we used to be friends and we read together and she cast spells that I never thought could exist. I wanted company for a while. I've never had that much friends and Beth has been one of the few I've ever had and I suddenly felt the need to talk to her.
I followed her and opened the door. She was reading.I walked closer to her and sat in the free chair in her left side.
"Hello" I said, trying to sound friendly
"Hello" she said quite impressed.
"reading?" I asked
"Yes" she siad quietly going back to her book and obviously ignoring me. She must havefelt a bit of resentment. So I got up and looked for a book and started reading too.

Tristin~~

I sighed as I left, a group following Violet to the cafeteria. I was still full from lunch so I started heading up the stairs to my room.

the stairs started to move, shift from the wall they were following and then bend, so that they connected to another door. I turned to the door I had meant to go through and flicked my wrist. The door creaked as it opened, and then I was on the other side, not really teleportation, just a little flight thing. Bright white light still hung in the air along the path I had travelled. It showed the source of the magic that had been used to cast it. bright white meant pure magic, not anger or hate.

I kept walking down the hallway, fingering my hair, and considering once again if I should cut if off. The Headmaster, as fat as I knew, had never taken students on and taught them, so if he was doing it now, then there was probably a very good reason for it. Either way a lot was going to be expected of him, and his hair could get in the way.

I started jogging up another set of stairs and the hair dropped into my face. I pushed it behind my ear and started up the stairs again. Yes, I was deffinately going to have to cut it. Sadness filled my and I felt the three braids in my hair even more acutely. They burned all my other hair away, and grew until they consumed my whole vision. My head dropped but I continued walking. It had been eight years, soon to be nine. Maybe it was time for him to let it go?

No, not let it go, but, if I wanted to help the headmaster then I would have to do it. I pulled the rumpled family photo from my pocked and looked at my sisters face. She was so young, still a baby. I smiled and then shoved it back into my pocket. Yes if I was going to die, it was going to be for something, not because my hair got into my face.

I finally reached my room and closed the door behind me, locking it with magic. I stepped up to the small mirror propped up on top of my dresser and started to think of a blade cutting my hair. It fell off and hung around me in the air, until it was above my ears. I took the hair out of the air and put it in the trash can, then went to the sink and soaked my hair. I went back to the mirror and started to finish it, making the edges even, and then drying it with magic. When it was done, the hair stuck out in almost all directions, making it look like I had just gotten out of bed. It was strange being able to see my face, and it all felt so much... lighter, as if a great load had been lifted, physically and mentally. I grinned and ruffled my hair. No, this wasn't bad at all. But the tattoo. I waved my hand over it and it pulled off my skin. I looked at, a small frown pulling at my lips. It was for the best. I threw it in the trash can and then sat on the bed my fingers patting on my leg.

I said bye to Beth and went out of the room. There was too much noise in the dinner tables but I decided togo and find a lonely table for me. Thankfully I found one and went ot sit there. With my eyes I searched for the people I knew but hey were to busy talking so I cast a spell and created a shiel around my table and form the distance I saw Lucas staring at me.

Bethany

Beth gave a grateful sigh when Evangline left. She wasn't going to be rude to her, but she had ditched Beth a long time ago. They had been freinds and then...she had left. She knew Beth was no good at making freinds. She sat cross legged in her chair and continued to read.

She was so into her book she hadn't even noticed that there was hardly anyone left at dinner, when she finally looked up. Beth held the book close to her chest and got up, walking to her dorm. She would finish her book up there. It wouldn't take her long. She was a fast reader, after all.

"Hey, Beth!" A voice called to her. "Wait up."

She turned around, confused. No one ever talked to her unless they wanted to borrow her homework or something. Not like she ever lent it out. It was one of the others from the meeting.

**Let's try this again. ^_^ Anyone care to talk to Beth? She does need a friend.**

Violet~~

"Lucas," violet tried to gain th eraven haired boys attention, "Lucassssss."

"Uh-What?" His eyes turned back to the rest of the group.

"If your so interested in her then why don't you go talk to her," Violet stuck a piece of penne pasta in her mouth waiting the answer, her hair still was glowing green with interest.

"What on earth are you talking about?" He answered and turned back to the normal sitting position. When he got distracted Violet crept off the table, and silently went over to Beth's table. Beth got up and started to walk away slowly, her mind seemed caught up in the book.

"Hey Beth!" The girls hair now glowed a shocking friendly yellow, "Where you going?"

Beth's eyes looked surprised, like why on earth is this girl following me kind of look.

"Why didn't you sit with us?" Violet asked, concerned if she had done anything wrong.
