Mackenzie Guff

No matter how many Mikael knocked down or how many Mackenzie disarmed there always seemed to be a whole mob more guards to fill the space left by their fallen comrades. Now, with Mikael distracted by a woman of obviously higher rank than the army of guards, Mackenzie had resulted to just firing blasts of energy at the guards as fast as his body would allow. His heart sank further when he saw another van pull up and yet another set of guards pile out of it.
As he fired a blast of energy that caused a domino effect that rippled through a large crowd of guards, Mackenzie suddenly felt the temperature drop and a quick glance up confirmed to him that the weather was taking a turn for the worst as clouds that looked like zepellins filled the skies above the asylum. That's all I need, Mackenzie thought, turning away from the van just soon enough so as to miss Ada jumping aboard it. Trying to push the imminent storm from his mind Mackenzie turned back to blasting guards back by the dozen.

*sorry it's a bit sketchy, just sort of biding my time since i'm not sure what the plan is entirely*

Ada Graves

Being in Olivers body was the oddest experience. I had often imagined being someone else, someone who didn't have powers. But this was much different than any of those daydreams.

"So what's yours?" Oliver asked me.

"Huh?" I hadn't been paying much attention.

"What's your power?"

"I can control fire and sometimes see the future." I said. Suddenly there was a recognizable shout and a group of people appeared out of nowhere.

"What the-!" Oliver shouted, fully surprised.

"They're with us." I said.

Oliver stopped the van and pulled the door open. Aylen and Heron jumped in while DJ continued on to retrieve the others.

"Who's this?" Heron said, she was looking at Oliver's body, but talking to mine.

"We'll explain later." I said. "Where are the others?"

Aylen looked at me oddly for a moment, but then answered. "Over there." she pointed through the windshield to the center of the battle.

DJ McKay

After depositing the others with the van I headed towards where the others were. I quickly came upon Ephraim and Guff, who were struggling with a few burly guards. I pulled them under the sheild as soon as I was close.

"Get to the van." I told them.

"Go ahead man, we'll catch up." Ephraim said, he then turned back to the guards who were looking around and trying to figure out where their foes had gone.

"They can't see you, you're invisible." I explained. "And don't try to be a hero, we're all doomed if we don't get out of here now."

The two eventually gave up and started towards the van.

"Looks like someone has had a big return to life." Guff patted me on the shoulder before he ran off. "Good luck with Mikael."

I turned my sights toward where Mikael was facing off with an unfamiliar female. She was visibly dangerous, and Mikael was visibly ready to fight to the death. I sighed and started running towards him, he was going to be a tough one to get.

-----
Whenever Erome and Mikael's battle is ready to conclude, go ahead and send him off with DJ toward the van. =)

Mikael

I looked up at the huge clouds floating above me. This was not looking good. When the first flakes of snow began to drop i almost laughed out loud. How was snow going to stop my march of destruction? The answer hit me just as the floor rose up to meet my backside. Snow means no grip, no grip versus flat metal feet meant i was going to where. I couldn't power down or she would lightning me, i couldn't stay powered up or she would march forward and finish me.
I needed help and fast.
Suddenly a rippling wave disintegrated the trousers of some of the guards, leaving them cold and embarassed in the snow. If we got out of this Guff had definitely earned my respect.
"Ready to die, little boy?" Came the guards icy voice, brimming with power.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.

Erome
It had only just occured to her he had the eyes and blonde hair of Peter. How fitting. This person she had to destroy looked so much like the boy who'd destroyed her.
No one can take revenge on the dead, yet the living serve well as replacements.
The kiss of the snowflakes on her face caused her to awaken. She became aware of a power in her soul so vast it almost frightened her. Almost.
She looked down at his face, but saw another. A deadly expression of serenity flashed before her.
"Ready to die, little boy?"
As she spoke, tornados began to decend from the screaming mass of black clouds that swirled overhead.
**Yeah, she's gone a little crazy. Sorry.**

DJ sent both Guff and Ephraim back to the van...but I suppose they didn't have to go. Mikael was the only one still fighting and DJ was going straight to get him, but only after he's had enough fighting with Erome.

Oliver watched Aylen and Heron closely for a moment before looking back at the battle. He didn't jump as much when Ephraim and Guff appeared out of nowhere.

"So you're more of Ada's friends?" he asked without thinking.

Aylen, Heron, Ephraim, and Guff all stared at him increduously.

"YOU'RE Ada, aren't you?" Guff asked.

Ephraim's eyes narrowed. "Maybe it's a bloody shapeshifter, and this is all a trap."

Ada turned with a frown. "Cut it out, I'M Ada. We just switched bodies so he can drive."

Directed Toward EmmaJane

I'm really sorry for disrupting your storybook, guys. I know you're going to hate me for this, but EmmaJane really needs to check her inbox and she's only posting for storybook =_=

Emma! The competition is starting and I need to hear if you're in or not! The other teams have gotten things together!

Whey-hey! I'm back! Totally cool internet connection at my fingertips  loving it.
(Have replied to Shina's PMs by the way)

Heron

"You ... you switched bodies?" she repeated faintly. "Isn't that ... weird at all?"

Everyone looked at her. "Like what the rest of us can do isn't weird at all," Ephraim snorted.

He had a point. "Yeah ... but..." Heron shifted uncomfortably as she looked around at the two. "Switching bodies?"

The stranger, supposedly Ada, shrugged. "A little strange," she said in the new guy's voice.

Heron shivered.

"Okay, so back to what's going on," said Guff. "We have to get out of here."

"What about Mikael? I can't see Mikael."

"DJ went to get him."

"Oh, yeah. I can't see DJ..."

"Holy crap, have you seen that storm???" Heron interrupted.

Erome

**Wow, her posts have been bad. Sorry, but this one is going to be awful too. :( **

All of a sudden, he was gone. Vanished. Disappeared.

Erome looked wildly around and felt like screaming in frustration. Another trick! Hell, she was gonna take them all down, never mind what Starling had to say about it. These little freaks had her running all over the place. And boy, was she going to make them suffer for that.

As soon as she caught them.

She heard frantic whispering. Peter's and another's. **Hope you don't mind, she thinks Mikael is Peter now, due to her turning crazy and all.** She spun around, but couldn't pinpoint the source. Damn it! What the hell?

She heard a crunching sound and looked down to see a footprint, barely visible through the feral blizzard, yet a footprint all the same.

Her lips peeled back from her teeth in an unholy grin.

Oliver peered through the windshield at the angrily spinning clouds. "How long until your other friends get here?" he asked. He drummed Ada's fingers against the steering wheel impatiently.

Guff shrugged. "It shouldn't be more than a few minutes. Just hang on."

"I hope so. We really need to get-"

"FREEZE!"

Ada's body's head swivelled. There were more guards coming, most with their tranquilizer guns pointed at the van.

"Well crap." Oliver stepped on the gas and started weaving through the trees in a wide circle. "Please say they show up soon..."

EmmaJane, I hope it's okay that they are getting out of here now. Feel free to have some crazy-driven pursuit.

DJ

"What are you doing?!" Mikael yelled as I started dragging him away from the crazy weather controling guard.

"Saving your life." I said.

Mikael struggled under my hold, but despite my current alias' appearance I was stronger. "I don't need saving!"

I stopped for a moment and looked around, the van was weaving through a pool of guards. Some of the others who were inside were firing off attacks to keep them back but it wouldn't last long. "We have to get out of here, or we are all doomed."

Mikael seemed to get it as he shut his mouth and actually moved towards the van for me. It wasn't long before we made it, and only a few guards noticed some invisible force pushing through.

We were almost to the van, which had recently come to a stop, when the worst thing imaginable happened. My powers stopped.

"There are two more of them!" a guard yelled.

Mikael took off to the now open van door, while I felt the sudden sharp pain of a tranquilizer hitting my arm.

"Crap.." I mumbled as my body became weak and fell to the ground.

"DJ!" I heard a strange voice yell. "Someone help him!"

Ada Graves

"DJ!" I yelled as I saw the red head's body hit the ground. "Someone help him!"

Mikael looked straight at me, but didn't recognize me. "Dude, I don't know who you are but we need to leave now."

"I don't care!" I screamed. "Help him! We aren't leaving anyone behind!"

"Oh crap. Crap crap crap." Oliver frowned. If they did end up getting caught, Ada would probably prefer to be in her own non-paraplegic body.

"Someone else take the wheel," he shouted before vaulting over the seat towards his own body. "Hang on Ada." She looked at him, a little bewildered.

"What are you doing? You need to drive!"

"I dunno if we're getting out of this or not," he said grimly, "and if they take us, I figure you'd rather be in your own body." He grabbed his body's arm and initiated the switch.

Soon he was sitting in his chair again, unable to feel his legs. "Now get DJ or whatever you said his name was." He glanced over nervously as darts clinked against the side of the van. The guards were trying to shoot them through the open door.
