Ki~

"Yeah we could be carefree, and only have to worry about only girly things, like if are make up looks okay." I joked.

"Or which guy we think might like us." she giggled.

"Humans have life so easy. Why would some of them just give it up?" I found myself wondering.

"Because they find it hard to be on this plant." Allie replied.

Jay~

"Yeah. I don't know what I would do either."

"Sometimes I wonder if there was no war would we still be a pack?" Julie blurted randomly.

"What do you mean?" Jay asked while cocking his head to the side with interest.

"Well, all we do is fight the vampires, and that's what we were 'supposively meant for.'" she said while rolling her eyes at the last spot. "Anyways none of us would of been in the pack and we would of never meet each other." she said with a sad glance at me.

"I have a feeling we might of meet anyways." I replied, honestly as she gave me a weird look.

Ren~

Mikael began to mumble to himself about looking up research in the library.

"Well what ever you think of, lets try to get rid of Ki. The human lover." I chuckled.

"What have the hunters follow her, and what if they kill her?" he asked.

"Well if she survives than there dead, if she dies hopefully they'll at least be weakened. To me that sounds like a win win situation." I shrugged and gave a little innocent look.

He smiled, it seemed to me even thou he doesn't like me he still hates Ki over me.

**Alright, I haven't posted in a while, I know, but what I was thinking for the hunters was this: They try to keep the peace between vampires and werewolves, and only kill the ones who fight or attack humans. As for who they hunt, Michael and his grandpa only hunt vampires, but let's say there's a werewolf hunter or two in the area as well.**

Michael

Michael and his grandfather sat across the kitchen table from each other, Thai food pushed aside, piles of papers spread out in front of them. The sum total of all the knowledge on vampires and werewolves in the town that Theo Chaucer and his hunter friends had been able to dig up. Maps, names, everything. It wasn't complete, of course, given that there were a few new additions to the coven and the pack in the area, but it was comprehensive enough.

"Alright, kid. First things first, right?" The old man said, "Now that you've let them know you're here, one of two things is going to happen. They'll start trying to manipulate you, or they'll start trying to kill you." He thought for a moment, "Since you're young, inexperienced, and don't look like you've got any political clout with the other hunters, it'll probably be the latter."

Michael nodded, shuffling through some more papers. "Alright, so how close to the guidelines do I have to stick? Who's likely to be my first target?"

Theo shrugged, "The guidelines are just that. We're really meant to decide things on a case by case basis. If a human is put at risk, we've got permission to take down whoever is responsible for putting them at risk. No one else. Risk is the one thing that's defined, though. Attack, attempted attack, or a plan to attack a human, or any action likely to cause a war between the vamps and the wolves."

He took a breath, "As for your first target, that'll either be one of the new vampires, the ones who're extra hungry, or it'll be one of the real firebrands, like this Eisenstein character." He slid a folder across to Michael, "Similar name to yours, interestingly. He hates humans, but we haven't been able to pin anything on him for a while. 'Course, we just need suspicion, it's not like we're the police and have to be able to prove he's guilty. We just haven't been able to get the green light from the main organisation with what we've got on him, so we can't kill him yet."

Theo leaned forward, "But if you ever go after that guy, you need to watch out. He can shapeshift, so he's been marked as an assignment for experienced hunters only. Don't get caught in close with him, he'll tear you apart. The only way we can make it a fair fight is through giving you plenty of technology."

The conversation continued as such for another hour or two, until Theo finally gave Michael a break, letting him off for the evening. Michael nodded, saying, "I think I might go in to town, I saw Ki today."

Leaving the room, he didn't see his grandfather stiffen behind him at the mention of Ki's name. Michael took out his phone and dialled her number, waiting for her to pick up before saying, "Hey, Ki? It's Michael. Uh, I was wondering if you were free tonight? Maybe we could see a movie, or something?"

Ki~

Me and Allie were still giggling at our comments about being human, when my phone started ringing. It was Michael, "Hi." I answered a little to excitedly.

"Hey, Ki? It's Michael. Uh, I was wondering if you were free tonight? Maybe we could see a movie, or something?"

I smiled at the though of being with him, then Mikael walked in and gave me a almost evil look. "Yeah sure meet me around 9. I gout to go." I replied before hanging up the phone and rushing up to my room.

Right as I closed the door, Allie came in. "What's up Ki?" she asked confused.

"Well it's a long story but I'm going somewhere tonight." I replied choosing my words carefully. As I got ready.

Jay~

"I'm not sure I know what you mean." Julie replied honestly as she sighed to herself.

"Well, you know that saying. 'your meant to be.' I think that applies here." I said as I looked down at her lovingly. The way she looked at me I knew she was trying to put two and two together.

I grinded my venom coated teeth angrily, thinking of who arrogent those stupid dogs could get. We innocently pass by the river; and they explode like we bombed their village or something.
Drinking cold blood out of a cup was not something I liked doing. Actually, I loathed it. Anger at my thirst, the werewolves and that stupid hunter rise up inside me like a spitting cobra ready to strike at any given time.
A deep frown furrowing my forehead, I turned on my heel and murmured over my shoulder, "I'm going out. Don't wait up."
I then stalked back the way I had came, towards the forest.

"Tell me." I said smiling.
"Well...okay. So Michael asked me out to the movies. Tonight." She said.
I stared at her grinning.
"Wow. I feel a connection." I said laughing.

-Julie-
Aha, a bit confusedd...

I stared at Jay, lost in his eyes for a second.
When I snapped out of it, I looked down at my feet my cheeks burning.
Stupid blushing.
I looked back up.
Who was he talking about?
The pack?
Me?
And him?
Together...?
"So...uh." He said.
I looked up at him waiting for him to say something.
Anything.

Jay~

An uneasy silence fell over me and Julie. It was strange maybe I shouldn't of said what I did. I smiled down at her when she looked down and started to blush. She was interesting to watch, I bet if you gave her a cookie she'll find a way to get confused.

"It's very easy to tell when your embarrassed." I chuckled at her.

"Um. . . yeah." she blushed even more.

Reno~

Theo stalked off with a very evil grin. It was strange how at first he seemed like he wouldn't want to hurt humans but now. It seems like he is with me and Mikael, on the whole they don't matter thing. It was interesting how this war was going to turn out. All the vampires are separating into two sides human lover, and human hater. This was going to be interesting.

Greaaaattt.
I really needed to work on my blushing.
"C'mon. I wanna show you something." Jay said grabbing my hand.
He led me somewhere into the woods.
"Where are we going?" I asked confused.
"Shh." He said putting a finger to his lips.
"You'll see." He said.
I stayed silent as he led me to God knows where.
Suddenly he stopped and I looked to see a lake, with the sun setting.
The sky was a sunset mix of pink, orange, and blue.
Wow.
This place was amazing.
He sat down and motioned me to sit down next to him.
I did, "Wow. This place is so beautiful. How did you know about this place?" I asked.
"I used to come here when I was a kid. My whole pack. We would stay here for hours. Watching the sun rise. Then set. But the best part was the stars. They should come out soon." He said a gleam in his eyes.
"I haven't been here in so long.." He said.
I looked up at the sun.
This place was so pretty.

Michael

It was a frigid, breezy night, and Michael was already cold from waiting for fifteen minutes outside the cinema. Ki wasn't late, he'd just arrived twenty minutes too early. Consequently, he was now half-frozen.

Michael had no idea what they were going to see, nor did he care. He just wanted to spend some time with Ki, the only normal person left in his life. Everything was so overcrowded nowadays. Between school and learning to hunt vampires, Michael was glad he still had the time to do something that made him feel like a regular teenage boy.

He just hoped the vampires would leave him alone for the time being, let him get a little more settled in before they did anything big. And they'd better not do anything tonight, while I'm with Ki.

I stopped beside the river, glaring across its choppy surface and tasting the air, waiting for that musky, disgusting scent of wolf to hit my nose. I scowled at their side accusingly when the forest remained silent.
Why am I even here? I thought to myself, sitting on the forest floor with a growl. It wasn't as if I could cause much trouble from here anyway...
So why not cross over?
I got to my feet with a mirthless grin. I could even mask my own scent by creating a shield around myself. But I would have to be careful; if a human came anywhere near me I wasn't sure whether I would be able to control my thirst.
I shuddered. No, I couldn't let that happen.
Regardless of the risks, I jumped easily across the river, landing with a thud. With a flick of my wrist, a glassy shield covered my body in a thin layer.
I laughed to myself, as I began to explore the werewolf territory, creeping silently through the trees.

No one was doing anything interesting so I decided to go for a run around the werewolf territory. It was cold out but refreshing.

I ran for a while, mostly around the perimeter of the territory. Nothing was amiss, though I hadn't really been scouting, just running. Suddenly though, I caught a whiff of vampire scent across the river which promptly disappeared.

How'd that happen? I thought to myself.

I came to a stop and sniffed the air. There wasn't any scent of vampire for miles, but I felt weird. I felt almost watched. I crouched to the ground and let a low growl creep up in my throat. It wasn't likely I would be able to fight if anyone was near, but a warning growl sounded like the right thing to do.

I just hope there isn't anything out there. I don't know if I could handle a vampire on my own.

After half an hour of sniffing around the territory, I was already bored. I couldn't think linearly, every thought I had backtracked to thirst. I forced it from my mind as I always did, and the pain ebbed. I stood around for a bit, looking up through the thick umbrella of branches above. I'd probably made it too difficult for the poor little puppies, I thought to myself with a grin, kicking a branch over into a puddle. I raised my head a little when a heard a warning growl from far off. It didn't trigger any sort of reaction; instead I just peered into the silver surface of the puddle. My reflection stared back at me. My eyes stayed solid crimson now, and my skin was even paler than usual. They weren't signs of a thirsty vampire, they were signs of a starving one. I doubted anyone, not even a werewolf would come near me like this. The longer we went without blood, the stronger and quicker we became.
My head snapped up and I strained my ears as the sound of a twig cracking echoed around the clearing, reverberating off the trees.
