Well, I guess I'll start it off.

Kassandra

I smiled at my brother and twirled in front of him. He rolled his eyes. The people in the market stared at me. Fire Nation, I thought, they don't know how to have fun.

"You have way to much energy, Kassie," he laughed.

"And you don't have enough," I said, still twirling every now and then. Then he grabbed me and slung me over his shoulder.

"Karo!" I yelled, squirming. He chuckled at me and when I stopped moving, put m down. He was so down-to-earth. I was going to miss him. I sighed.

"I have to go," I said. "I know you told me I was to young, but I've got to leave. I don't know, I just feel this...pull. I'm not sure where, but you always told me to trust my instincts."

"No, Kassie, that's not what I meant," Karo replied, his eyes flashing angry. "I was told to take care of you and that's what I'll do."

"But you know I'm different," I responded, exasperated. "Do you think this is some weird...coincidence or something? I have to go."

"No!" He yelled. i stopped and looked away from him. He never yelled at me. He sighed and continued walking.

"Listen Kassie, I'm sorry, but you're not going," Karo said. I nodded, unable to speak.

Since he wouldn't listen I would have to do this myself. I was going to leave. Tonight.

I was busy bartering with a salesclerk for some food, smiling too much really. They guy was starting to see things my way when my attention was taken from the clerk when Kyna got her hand out of my grasp and started running through the market.

"Kyna!" I called after her. She stopped and turned, smirking. So, she wanted to play. I grinned, payed the man what he asked for (a lower price than before) and went running after her. I really didn't mind this; I loved her too much for that.

What happened next was completly unexpected. I turned a corner, and saw Kyna run into a girl, nearly knocking her over, and she fell down.

The girl looked surprised as I did when I ran up to her and picked Kyna up.

"Are you okay Miss?" Kyna blinked inncently and looked at her. "Kyna, say sorry." I told her gently.

Kassandra

Karo had already went home, but I stayed at the market. Around the corner a girl ran, and while looking over her shoulder, bumped into me.

"Are you okay Miss?" She asked, eyes wide.

"Say your sorry," the boy, perhaps her brother, told her kindly. I smiled. I had always loved kids. Even if I was one myself.

"Sorry," she said, looking down.

"It's completely alright. I really wasn't looking where I was going in the first place," I responded. "I'm Kassie, by the way."

"I'm Kyna," she said, grinning. "This is my brother Andi." I nodded to him. He reminded me of my own brother. He was about the same height, with the same green eyes, except Andi's had a hint of gray.

"It's nice to meet you both," I replied. I looked back down at Kyna. She was so cute. I had always wanted a younger sibling. She was grinning at her brother. From the way he looked at her, I could tell he adored her. My own brother looked at me the same way. I thought about what I had to do tonight. I sighed. I couldn't believe I was going to leave him, but this feeling was grower stronger by the minute. I couldn't ignore it much longer.

I think I'll just have Kezo alone for know, unless anyone else would be in a blimp to the earth nation

Also I miss spelled my guys name it is really, Takezo Kensei, nick name is now Kezo now also.

Takezo~~

"Dad can't I just stay. We'll be back in a few months, and I don't feel like making a whole new group of friends to be uprooted right after it," I pleaded.

"I'm sorry son. But with your mother gone and all," My dad said, he looked away after he said mom, "It is to hard."

"But dad my friends all said I could stay at their houses, rotating off, until you get back. C'mon."

"I'm sorry Kezo but no," My father said in a tone I knew meant no, no matter what I said.

With that I stormed off. It was always like this, I was moved left and right all my life, and as friends started to come, I was moved. Screaming as I slammed my door, I remembered the night before, when I had made fire, and then left out my window. I need to try that again, make sure it was real, make sure it wasn't a vivid dream.

When I made it to my secret training area, an earthy, rocky clearing away from the city, up in the mountains, I began to take position.

"Okay so I was here--then I went like this--stared there--placed my hand here--and then went like this"I mumbled getting to the exact stance I was in the night before, "Okay, now I just have to go like this," I said and jabbed forward.

Immediately a large chunk of rock was pulled out from the ground and went flying. I tried this another fifteen times before trying some different styles. But all failed, I would never do it again. So I screamed and ran back, but stopped mid-step. Looking back I saw my bag, which I had grabbed before leaving, on the ground, the strap burned. I went back, and saw a charred ring where I was a second ago, that was not there before. That's when it came to me, I screamed again, and sure enough some embers emerged around me.

I blinked, looking at Kassie. She seemed to be a little bit troubled about something.

"Are you sure you're alright, Miss Kassie?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm perfectly alright." She said.

"Will Kassie be my friend?" Kyna interjected innocently, smiling. I ruffled her hair and she slapped my hand, laughing. "Will she?"

Kassie

"Of course," I smiled. "Though, I won't be staying too long." Kyna was so sweet. I might stay an extra day longer.

"Well why?" she asked.

"It's a really long story," I replied. "I don't really belong here, but let's just keep that a secret. You know, between friends." She grinned wildly and tugged on my shirt.

"C'mon," she urged.

"Where?" I asked, tilting my head.

"You've got to chase me," she said. "I bet I'm faster than you!" She took off down the street. I looked at Andi with wide eyes, but he had already taken off. I ran up to Kyna, maneuvering around the shoppers, and got right behind her. I pretended to grab her and let her slip through my fingers

Kyna giggled and stopped. We were past the biggest part of the market and there was hardly anyone around here.

"I give," she said. I smiled at the little girl and looked at Andi.

"I guess I should go. My brother will probably be worried about me," I sighed.

"Why?" Kyna asked. "Can't you stay for a little while longer." I looked at Andi and he smiled, nodding.

"Sure," I responded. "What did you want to do, then?" I can't believe I was already getting attached and I had only met her today. I guess I would be staying another day.

Taiji~

The fire nation town Kaida bristled with activity as the markets hit their climax. People swarmed about, as they surched the shops and kids played games in the streets. My mouth watered at the sight of all the delicate foods and exotic smells coming from the many venders I passed. My stomache growled and I groaned. I hadn't eaten a good meal in almost a week since I left the water village. I had to get some food! I felt around the empty contents of my wallet knowing that there was nothing I could do to change my poverty.

I was broke and I was starving. Two elements that did not work well together. I regretted leaving home. My rations were run out and if I didn't find a way to fill up on food soon I would starve. I got tired of walking and found a shady spot to sit on well out of the way of the crowd.

"How did it end up like this?" I kept asking myself. My stomache growled and once more I felt a pang of weakness. I felt light headed and before realized it I twisted my guitar strap around in front of me. I held it out and admired the swirling designs along the acoustic's face. I strumed the strings and the pure tone of the open cords were enough to revitalize me.

I fiddled with the guitar's tuning and played a couple of notes as I tried to remember the words to father's song and I sang:

Father here me when I.

Call on your name. I need you to answer me now.

The music swept me away, away from the heat and the hunger, away from the fatigue. I was no longer sitting on a street corner in the fire nation and sat on the porch in my memories. I was sitting in front of my house just like I did ten years ago when I used to lay on my dad's shoulder as he sang the very song I sang now. I went into the second chorous.

...Father here I am.

Weak in your sight. CAn you rescue me now...

I could feel my dad's presence through the song. When I played I no longer felt lost.

... I"m crying out can't figure it out on my own."

I finished and looked up to notice a young girl standing over me.

"Hello there, miss." I said and smiled. "What's your name?"

"Kya," She smiled back "you're song sounded beautyful old grandpa-chan."

My eye twitched. "Umm I'm not a grandpa i'm 16. Er, where's your father."

"He's not here but my brother and nice lady are coming right behind me."

"Well, you might as well wait here until they come and get you," I said "Here, i'll play you another song."

Kairei - Fire

I stopped and looked behind me. How many times had I returned to this accursed place in the last year? How many? Why did I feel compelled to always come back to the place that caused me so much pain? What is wrong with me?

"I will not go in," I mumbled to myself through gritted teeth. "I will not go in." My hands began to heat up, I felt my eyes burn, though not with tears. I took a deep breath.

"Calm down. Calm down."

I couldn't. I bit my lip to keep from crying out in rage, stomping behind a large boulder. I held myself, trying not to conjure fire. It was too troublesome, I told myself.

My ears suddenly perked up. Somebody was... singing? That didn't happen often in this part of the city. In fact, everyone mostly kept to themselves, not going out of their way to even notice other people. Did things really change that much in the three months since I've been here?

"I... I shouldn't..." I wanted to go in. I really did. But I promised myself! Was I really that weak?

I knew there was something compelling me to enter, but there was an even stronger force telling me to go to another place. What would happen here? What if I ignored one of those feelings?

"Just for a while. To see who is singing. Then I'll go," I promised.

Silently, I snuck into the city. Following my ears, I eventually reached the source of the singing. It was pleasant, to say the least. Watching from the shadows, I allowed myself to be swept away by the music. I never had time for pleasantries such as this anymore. The last time I could remember even hearing music was long ago... when Father took us to that fesitval... one last time.

I didn't even notice that the boy had stopped singing until he was next to me.

He wasn’t particularly fat.

And really, that was that.

"Hello there." Taiji said looking up at the young stranger who stood before him. She had raven hair smooth as velvet and her eyes equally dark that gazed somewhere far away. She didn't seem to notice him until he'd stopped playing.

"Can I help you" he aksed, but she didn't say anything. Instead she placed a coin at his feet and turned to leave. "Wait!" Taiji called after her. "I-i can play you another song." He strummed his guitar for emphasis. The girl hesistated. The crowd flooded past them as she seemed to struggle with an answer. Taiji waited, hoping.

"Come on...don't go."

Kyna grinned and took her hand. "Can I show you my special spot?" She asked, her eyes wide and beautiful. The suggestion surprised me, even sweet Kyna didn't open up that fast.

She didn't wait for Kassie to answer and pulled her along, chattering the entire way. I followed, glad she was having fun. Kyna pulled her out of the main city, into a secluded area with run down buildings. We went into an abandoned building-one that I'd actually let Kyna go into because it wouldn't collapse on her-and into an innner courtyard.

Some of the most beautiful flowers I'd ever seen were overgrown and populated the courtyard. It was a small forest.

"Let's play hide-and-seek in this house!" Kyna said.

"Kyna, we're both too big to find some good hiding places." I reminded her, laughing a bit. Kyna looked serious, thinking.

She lit up, "How about you two team up to find me? I am the best hider of everyone." Without waiting for an answer, she ran off. "Don't peek!"

Rubbing the back of my neck, I looked at Kassie, "I'm sorry about all of this. She really likes you."

Kassie

I watched Kyna run off giggling. I smiled. She's so cute.

"I'm sorry about all of this," Andi said, rubbing the back of his neck. "She really likes you." I laughed.

"She's great. I've always wanted a little sister," I said. Andi smiled. I hadn't realized until now, but Andi had a great smile. His brown hair was pulled back, but little strands had gotten loose and were hanging in his face. He looked straight down at me and I blushed a little. Great, he probably thinks I'm a freak or something. Staring at him like that.

"I guess we need to count," I said. Andi nodded and started off. After a we counted to 25 we started looking for her.

"She really is a good hider," Andi spoke. I looked at him and tilted my head.

"What do you mean?" I asked. He laughed.

"I mean this could take a long time. She's really tiny and it's hard to spot her sometimes. The last time I had to make her laugh to find her," Andi replied. When he spoke about her, it's was like she was the only person in the world. I smiled a little. He really loved her.

"Alright Kyna," I yelled. "Ready or not here we come!"

Kassie was a little bit in front of me, so she didn't see me looking at her. She was extremely beautful, and I couldn't help but notice. Best of all, she seemed to like Kyna-or at least she was able to put up with her.

I stopped and looked behind and in some huge barrels. She wasn't there. I knew I had to be thorough so I pretty much checked every inch.

Even though we were playing, her disapearing was nerveracking. Kassie looked at me, her blue-green eyes sparkling. She was actually enjoying this.

I was flummoxed by fractious Franny's decision to abrogate analgesics for the moribund victims of the recent conflagration. Of course, to display histrionics was discretionary, but I did so anyways, implicating a friend in my drama to make the effect cumulative. I think a misanthrope would have a prosaic appellation, perhaps one related to autonomy and the rejection of anthropocentrism. I think they wouldn't think much of the prominence of watching the coagulation of tea to prognosticate future malevolent events, not even if those events were related to jurisprudence.
