Isabelle
Isabelle turned, frowning slightly at whoever had interrupted her one brief moment of peace. Her frown turned to a flat-out scowl when she saw who it was. The man seemed no more happy to see her.
"Come back for round two?" snapped Isabelle. Tash turned to glare at her.
"Still as haughty as ever, aren't you?"
Isabelle pursed her lips. "Takes one to know one."
"Don't make me laugh. I'm sure your precious Joshua has convinced you that I am an evil, lie-spouting man. Am I correct?"
"Funnily enough, no."
"Ah," said Tash. He took a step forward. "What, then? Did he tell you that you were a angel from heaven, not a flaw, not a single trait to mar your perfection?"
"Again, the truth seems to simply avoid you."
"As it does to you."
"Your opinion."
"Fact, my dear. Only fact."
"But of course." Isabelle closed the door with a sharp click. The small drops of rain that continued to hit Isabelle were becoming annoying.
The two glared at each other for a hostile moment.
"Well, it might interest you to know that your precious Joshua seems to have forgotten you. He seemed very, ah, intent on finding Mercy."
Isabelle's face hardened for a moment. Out of pride, she forced it to relax. "And why should that bother me?" she said sweetly.
Tash looked at her, now amused. "Back to your old games, then?" he asked distastefully. "I can't say I'm surprised... Your kind never listens to the common folk."
Whatever impression Isabelle was trying to make disappeared immediately.
"My kind?!" she cried furiously. Tash raised an eyebrow delicately.
