Just moved into residence at my college a few days ago. Loving it. Got to go to class without shoes on, since my class is in the same building as the dorms. It was funny how people reacted to that. Anyway, who lives in their college dorm? How was it? What do you think about it and what's it like? There was one guy who never would have made it to class if it weren't for where his dorm is because we had class at 8:30 and he woke up at about 8:15. Poor baby.

I'm pretty sure I want to live on campus but the only thing I don't want is a roommate. God. But I know I can't get away from that. I'm just afraid she'll get sick of me, my music, and my guitar.

Wanna go to Uni. Don't really want a dorm though - I'd rather rent out a flat with some others.
I wrote the above just for you.

I'm probably going to end up in a drom and annoy the living heck out of my rommie because of my music that I play 24/7

I want to go to William and Mary's so badly...(great school, beautiful campus- in the middle of freaking COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG!!! How much better than that can you get?) I'm pretty sure they have dorms on campus, if not, I'll rent a little apartment in Williamsburg. (Nice city, too.)

I've heard that's a really good school, Sam.

My first choice would be Dartmouth, but I don't think I could get in or pay for it, LOL. I'll probably end up going to Trinity in San Antonio because it's only about 5 hours away. Of course, that would be hard to pay for too. Oi vey.

My second choice would be Yale...I've been to the dorms there so I know they have 'em. (New Haven isn't all that beautiful...just the Yale part...:P)

YAY! I have six years...but it's so much fun anyway.

It's so much fun living in res. My friend Mike, who is second year in the same program as I am, was in res last year. He told me that one day in winter, when it was really super cold, he went to class in sandles, tearaway pants, and a T-Shirt. That is so hilarious! I'm looking forward to going in flannel PJs. My school is so small that there are only two buildings, and most of my classes are in the same building as res. And there's a catwalk between the buildings. So when it's really cold, I don't even have to ever go outside unless I'm going to a movie or doing some shopping. One guy, who is in the paramedic program, says that he'll go to class in his flannels and work boots. That should be a site to see.

Sounds like a cool college Rei :)

I lived in the dorms at my school for two years, and loved it - especially during my second year. We used to have peanut wars in the hall and play Super Smash Brothers until 6 a.m., then go to class at 8 a.m. Had a fair ways to walk, though, to get to class.

As for roommates, no one should worry about who their roommate will be or whether or not you two will get along well. My roommate freshman year was probably just about the complete opposite of me in everything from political views to personality, but we got along great.
