Name: Ben Washington
Age: 18
Grade: 12
Personality: A tall, muscle-built football player, Ben is actually the kind of person that keeps to himself. He is, in a way, mysterious. He is African American and prefers football and world history over other subjects. There are two aspects of Ben that make him different; number one, he is gay; number two, he smokes cigars, and is therefore a smoker. Deep down, he is a good person, and would put his life in jeopardy to save someone he liked/loved. Also, he is a good thinker and sometimes thinks outside the box, which is useful in some situations.
Species: Human
Other: He dislikes bees/wasps/hornets/yellow jackets

Hmm maybe Lindy and James could be together. I'm not really decided on that yet, so we'll just have to see how the story plays out =)

Thanks people !
So many of you have joined, I am so so happy !
Okay, tomorrow the 9th of March at Exactly 12:00 P.M. GMT I call for the beginning of this story. That's until when we will receive characters -after that we're full.

P.S. Sorry that I haven't been on but I've been having trouble with my internet. I still have trouble accesing it but it will be cleared out in a few days,in the meanwhile you can still begin if I don't log on tomorrow. I though the best time to begin would be when they;re at the airport and they're about to get on the airplane.

P.S.2: For those who asked you can still create all sorts of characters whether they're boys, girls, vampires etc.

Hmmm maybe I'll start this? if thats okay? it's past 12:00 so im gonna go with it.

::Alexis::

I walked through security in the New York City Airport with ease and went straight to my gate. I sat down far away from anyone else, which wasn't hard because there was only one other person sitting near a window reading a magazine.

I was on my way to some stupid camp for a few weeks and then to a new foster home in Wyoming. Stupid Wyoming. I hate Wyoming. No one ever hears of anything happening in Wyoming.

I sank down in the hard plastic seat and sulked. I didn't want to get on a plane either, I had never been on a plane and knowing my luck it would crash.

A peppy woman holding a sign reading "Young Leaders Of Tomorrow" stood by the gate.

I walked over to her.

"Hello there, are you going to be a part of the Young Leaders of Tomorrow Wilderness Expedition?" she said with a little too much enthusiasm.

"Unfortunatly." I mumbled.

"Well you're in luck. We are going to have so much fun in Canada. The pilot is even going to fly us over the ocean for those of you who may have never seen it." she said.

"Happy day." I said sarcastically. I sat in a chair nearby and waited to board the plane.

::James::

I walked out of the guys bathroom.

"Yes." I sighed in releif. I had made it in without being caught. Of course it had meant climbing through some dusty air conditioning vents, but what's life without a little adventure?

I stood in front of the gate listings, deciding on a good place to go.

I looked over at the gate closest to me. Some overly done up woman was holding a sign that read "Young Leaders of Tomorrow."

I knew about that group. They liked to take a bunch of kids out into the wilderness and have them survive. Sounded just about interesting enough for me.

I started over when someone small ran into me.

"Watch it shorty." I said.

-------
I think maybe Lindy should jump on in here. I set it up for you. =)

I made my way through the crowd, toward where I could hear a woman broadcasting "Young Leaders of Tomorrow" with a sign held over her head. Several others had already gathered. I made my way over, anticipating any drama that may start early...

Smack! I ran right into a tall boy, who immediately snapped at me. "Watch it shorty."

I felt my temper flare up. "Yes, I'm short, but that's where looking comes into play!" I hissed. Fairies, especially those of the fire bloodlines, were known for their tempers; even being half fairy had given me a short one.

I sighed, trying to calm down. "Sorry. I'm just trying to get to my group."

I got through the gate with minimal problems. If Coment hadn't suddenly blew up at the airport security guard, he would have too. Comet doesn't like being touched. I'm the only one who actually can but I'm different. I AM his twin.

Why'd you have to do that? I had to make up some crap story about abusive parents just for them to not shoot you.

I don't like being touched.

I sighed outloud and looked at my brother. Both of us were wearing ski caps, jeans, and a T-shirt. Our faces pretty much mirrored each other.

We saw/heard the whole Young Leaders of Tomorrow thing and headed towards it. This was our chance to get out of here and be free for the first time in our lives.

Luis

His father stood on the other side of the line which non-passengers weren't supposed to cross, dressed in a smart black suit. "You stay in touch, Luis, you hear? We don't want you disappearing on us."

Luis nodded, "One thing though, remind me why I'm going on this? You don't really think I need the wilderness survival stuff, do you?"

"No, I know you could probably take care of yourself. But camping is supposed to be a good activity for meeting people, and this one will be people mostly around your age. Or would you rather spend your holidays helping the family business?"

Luis took a step backwards, laughing nervously, "Uh, no thanks, dad. I'll go with the nature people."

The ghost of a smile appeared on Mister Carrefour's face as he looked at his son, "I thought so. I'll see you when you return, Luis. But I expect to hear from you sooner."

The boy nodded again, hoisting his bag onto his shoulder and making his way towards the group. He looked from one person to the next, a smile creeping across his face. Well, these people should be a pleasant change of scenery from dad's business.

I hurried across the airport, after my mum had finished telling me how much she'd miss me, and how she wished I'd spent summer with her, because I was at my boarding school throughout the year. As if I wanted to spend the rest of my summer on her privite yacht talking to boring rich people. Rich people tended to be boring. Their kids tended to be spoilt brats. I might've been one, too, only I was sent to a pretty strict girls only boarding school.

I couldn't wait to escape my glamorous life and enjoy a couple of weeks in the wilderness. Mosquitoes didn't bother me.Much.

I saw a woman holding up a sign and then a group of people my age around her. They all looked very different from eachother, but to me they also looked confident.I liked confidence. I didn't have much of that. Not in front of strangers, anyway.

"Hello, honey!"- The woman said in a sweet voice. Too sweet - I thought.
I joined the other kids and wandered if I looked like a loser to them. I gulped back my shyness and did the last thing I would've ever done.

I introduced myself.
"Hello,my name is Kate."

Mom didn't even bother coming into the airport with me. She just drove over to the curb to let me out.

"Sweetie." She started.

"Don't call me that."

"Fine! Ok, you're getting out of the car soon so just shut up for one moment!" My mom nearly screamed in the car. I was used to it. Mom tried to sound loving but it never worked.

Charlotte mewed in the back seat.

"That means you too!" Mom yelled, looking Charlotte, my cat.

Her huge green eyes looked straight at mom, and you could almost see her black fur bristle.

Some of the cars behind us honked and mom yelled some words I shall not repeat out the car window.

"Just have fun ok? Stay out of trouble and don't be so shy all the time." She said, exhaling to regain her composure, "And take that darn cat out of here. I can't believe you're actually taking that filthy thing."

I muttered something under my breath about her not staying out of trouble when she was a teen and that Charlotte was the best cat in the universe. She was the best friend in the universe. I grabbed her cage and got out of the car.

Mom signed me up for this thing in a last attempt to make me "normal". Like she knows what normal is. Its pretty ironic actually. I barely know what I'm doing. I wondered if Charlotte would be ok.

I went to the place where you put pets to go on the plane and tried to find a group of teenagers that looked like they were going on a camp.

Soon enough, I found the group (whatever it was called) where I think I was supposed to be in. I had no idea what is was called.

"Kaleigh Adamson." I heard my name called.

I half raised my hand.

"Good. I think we are waiting for a few more students and then we shall be off to the wilderness in Canada!"

Canada?????? Wilderness???? I muttered a curse word. This should be interesting. Not.

Kate:

A new girl approached us. She had a very original name. I looked at her for a moment. She didn't seem to want to be here and she didn't seem to want to hide it. I looked down. Was I the only person, geeky enough to look forward to this trip? Was I that desperate?

the answer stood in front of me. Yes, I was.

All right, i'll add one more character. A guy. Don't know how this will go, I've never had a guy as the main character before.

Name: Chris Hailey
Age:17
grade:12

Personality :He's not shy, but he isn't Mr.Outgoing, either. He likes to keep some things to himself, which make him seem mysterious. He's a loyal friend, and he had many friends when he lived with his father, but...

Other: His father has died, so now he's forced to live with his mother, who's signed him up for this camp. He has a younger sister, who's 12, but he hasn't been in touch with her for a while. He's supposed to meet her after camp is over.

Appearance: Blond ,shaggy hair, blue eyes,he's pretty strong, but not overmuscled and he's about 1.70 m

Species :He's half human and half *hidden*, but he's not aware of it.

Chris Hailey walked towards the huge sign, staring at the people there. They were all his age and almost all of them looked like they'd rather not be there.
Good to know that he's not the only guy that feels that way. He looked at the people around him. The guide ushered him towards her and spoke in an enthusiastic voice.

" We will be leaving shortly, almost everyone is here now, Mr. Hailey. You will enjoy this, I hope."
"...yeah."- I said after a while. The woman looked half crazy and hysterical.

I turned towards the people I would spent the next 2 weeks with.
"Hello, everyone." - I said, in a cool manner. I was sure not Mr. Outgoing, but I figured out if I screwed up now, who cares? I only had to spend... what? Fourteen days with these people?
