Kial~Yin

Meetings always bored Kial until sleep threatened to take over. Either way she was to ride along side the other knights to The King's Harbour. It would've been less unpleasant if one person actually said something, but as usual nobody spoke due to the tension.

"You know I don't see what the big deal is. Couldn't he have just told us while we were eating who was attacking," she attempted conversation.

"That he you're talking about is the king and he couldn't have told us because he doesn't know any of that!" Phaedra practically screamed in reply. She startled Kial so much that she had to grip the reins surrounding Ole, her horse, even harder to keep from falling off. Attempt at conversation. Fail...
Kial stayed quiet after that, riding silently with Ole and gazing up at the muddled sky. It was blue except for one dark cloud. They went over few bumps and after awhile something began to take shape in front of their eyes.
If I can impact one person, just one, with my writing before I die, then I've lived a great life

I as a person hated meeting and as a mute who couldn't voice her mind properly bothered me. The king, was fat and Phae would prolly make a better, scarier queen, I silently laughed. We were heading out to the King's harbour, I was riding Paulo, a horse that only like me. He was tall and a lovely creatue he just scared a few people and bit a few others no big deal and hardly anyone talkes about the tiem he bucked off the stable hand.

I rolled my eyes and trotted silently behind Phae, who obviously knew what we should have been doing. It was hot and I predicted this for a few days until the storms lolled in. I created a nice cool breeze for us.

"Thanks Aimee!" and I beamed at her, it was nice to get notced for no one noticed someone who didn't talk.

I looked around. Apparently there was some big attack from the Yin. Those people were such scum. They would act all nice and good but then attack us like evil little devils. I looked around. I was standing next to the queen. As a Knight it was my duty to protect her. Finally Th debrief was over and i was able to leave. I followed her. I was so happy today. She was making me a Bishop today and i was very excited. I almost ran to it but i did not want to seem to eager. We finally made it and she promoted me. It was boring service and i will not bore you with the details of it. After that i left and ran to the infirmary. There i found Jade and Xander. I ran to them and proudly pointed to my new emblem.

"i'm a Bishop now" i said doing a bit of a dance.

We all entered the hidden room through a trapdoor that was skillfully hidden with Greater Yin Sorcery. The entire place was disguised as an old fish cellar and when checked you would see just that.

We entered the room and a light was switched on. We immediately saw through the illusion. Behind us the door swung shut and we were alone with only the King and his Cabinet members. Trusted denizens also guarded the doors behind us. They had simple Imagination which could be called upon to defend us while we came to our senses.

Imagination could be used to Imagine different occurrences that would befall their target.

We gathered in the room that was glittering averagely with the common crystal plate that made up most buildings here. We sat down in the hard but comfortable chairs all lined up facing the King.

"Hello! I'm happy you chose to come. Now... about this problem with the bordering nation... called, I believe the Yang..."

"No duh it's called the Yang..." I wanted to say.

"... I do not wish there to be a fight. We shall only want to work it our peacefully. Violence is our last resort. We do though, need to form our Army in case something does occur... What I am trying to say is that we only wage war if they do not agree to our standards. We are the larger more successful nation, we shall be the ones calling the shots."

He paused for a cheer but none came.

"So I would like if you Knights would ally with my Bishops and go talk it out with them. Here are my requests..." He handed us a fat envelope. "What do you say?"

I opened the envelope and pulled out a bulky list. I read on and it asked for outlandish requests.

"You honestly expect them to do all of this?!" I asked him. "They aren't idiots! They will not comply to this."

The letter was stupid. It started like, "Hello to whom it may concern, this is the King speaking, Here is a list of things I'd like you to do for us in order to establish peace." Then it listed irrational requests like, "Let us come in possession of your diamond mine..."

"This seems like a list of your dreams and hopes," I told him. "They will never go for this idiocy!"

"They must, or we wage war." He said, a bit smugly.

"We may as well wage war now!" I told him.

"No, that would be unethical. All I need you to do is meet with the King in their territory, show him the list. Simple, very simple. We already have a meeting worked out."

He had us out of the door by his Cabinet members who weren't any better than he was. We were heading into enemy territory. All I could think of as Yang Denizens eyed us with suspicion as we trotted through their streets was, "What were we getting ourselves into?"

I was back to healing patients and Jade had come to watch. When Breden came in showing us his new Bishop emblem, a stylized bishop piece from a chest set.

I never wore mine, and neither did Jade. It was given to show the youth of a Bishop. After a year of being a bishop this was taken away, and people just knew what you were.

"That's great, another bishop to our ranks." I said, while mending together a man's punctured heart.

My necklace grew hot. I looked down at it as did Brended and Jade.

"Yin's have entered our borders ," Breden said with disgust.

We cantered to the borders of the castle that looked nothing alike ours. The entire city was structured differently. While we used diamonds, silver, crystal and glass for all of our architecture, these people crafted theirs out of completely foreign media.

We stopped at the very edge of the wall that separated the castle and the city when a group of people approached us. I extended my wings and levitated about 3 feet from the ground, drawing my weapon. The others did so too.

"What do you want?" A boy asked us. I drew my Impenetrable Shield and advanced.

"We have a meeting with your Royalty. Our pass is here." It was very valid. They paused to look at it. The tow sides of the separated Yin-Yang symbol shifted on the paper.

"It's not counterfeited. They've honestly got a meeting." One mumbled with something like disappointment.

"We'll accompany you there." One told us.

Probably to make sure we didn't pull anything. We complied but it felt shameful as we were led up the castle stairs with those of Yang so close.

Oh How I hated that King, I would have killed him myself if he wasn't already the target for people like Phae. Now Phae was arguing with the fatso of a King, I opened my mouth as if laughing. This was a joke for us all being here, of course the Yang were pissed people.

Just why couldn't we get along?

I thought this as if it was a far off dream as the yang and the yin living in the harmony. As Ying-Yang, my my necklace pulsed, something was going down, soon. I looked around, the knight's and Bishops looked around.I motioned to myself and no one took attention another Bishop voiced my cry, "Sir we must leave"

I sighed silently and the king answered the creed,

"No." even his cabinet stared at him like an idiot.

Phae opened her mouth and soon shut it when he , "Anyone who questions will suffer sudden death"
People would have pounced at assassination plans but everyone was scared to voice them. I grinned at the thought of someone pouncing, everyone did.

We were there for the next four hours of our young and vital lives.

Brenden- Yang- Bishop~~

i looked down at the Yin. I wanted to take my sword out now and fight them but i could not. I looked at Jade and Xander, who were next to me. They were focused on the Yin as well. We were waiting for them to make a sound or movement of any kind, so we had a reason to strike. It disgusted me to be in the same room as them. But to not be fighting made me fell like i had the black plague.

The aura of our enemies made it extremely hard to concentrate. We sat in a large room and the King and Queen faced us.

"What brings you here?" The Queen asked in a harsh tone. She was suddenly my idol. I would watch her every move.

"Our King wishes to show you this. Don't kill the messengers." I told her quieting at the end.

The two Royals skimmed it over. "To put it lightly, this is outrageous." The king bellowed.

Brenden-yang-bishop~~

After they were done reading the agreement they passed it on to use to judge as well. All i could say was, what retard wrote this. I mean they wanted our mines, half our farm land, an empty armoury and much much more. When i was done reading in passed it on and had to hold back a killer scream at the Yin in front of us. They now looked to me for my thoughts like the others before.

"it is outrageous." i said. "what kind of idiots do you think we are yin" i said then i looked at the one who carried the pack age and looked her in the eyes. I then pretended to squash her head in. But as i did it i bent the sound to come out.

I glared at them both. "I didn't write this garbage." I snarled. I turned to the idiot who was trying in vain, to mentally assault me. I locked eyes and read his weaknesses.

My wings burst out and I began, to my dismay, glow a penetrating light. My sword was out and I was quite tempted to kill all of them. But I'd wait for the war that was destined to come.

"Let's go." I muttered. I had been embarrassed enough.

Later~

We sat in the King's Dayroom and began planning our assault on the Yang's defenses. Since the battle was inevitable and already beginning, we had hardly any time to begin planning. Already, camps were forming with denizens with their weapons and Imagination were being assembled. Armies of Bishops and the other sectors of Knights were being found.

I wore my typical battle attire that consisted of a chest plate made of Sky Iron that would be nearly impossible to break all was black and allowed us to move swiftly and silently. I was going to fly and in my wake, I was determined to leave an impression.

I hated violence and I saw how our rejection could backfire on us, but the queen was determined. Our biggest advantage was our Healing clan. Their bishops couldn't heal so they had to resort to common herbs and medicines to do their healing. For that reason each member of the healing clan was surrounded by six knights.

I didn't want to this the blood and the carnage was too much. I decided to ditch my knights. If they came from me I wouldn't have others lay down their lives to defend me.

Kurt - Bishop - Yin

Having been assigned a group of six pawns and a pair of knights to protect him, Kurt was starting to make preparations for battle. He sat in his family's study, going over a book that detailed an eclipse spell. He'd already gathered together most of what he'd need, and intended to activate the spell at the start of the battle.

He knew it wouldn't damage the Yang, so to speak, but his main intent with his spell was to give himself an environment in which he could see.

But before the battle, he needed to learn whether Phaedra knew of the plans or not. So, taking a single pawn from his bodyguard, he rode to the Dayroom, guided by the young man’s eyes.

Upon reaching it, he dismissed the commoner, who retreated out of earshot, but not eyesight. Kurt stood at the door to the Dayroom for a few minutes before the king looked up and smiled to him, although naturally Kurt didn’t see it. The old, obese fool let out a sigh, “Hello, Bishop Ambrose.”

Just because I’m blind doesn’t mean that you should treat me like a child. I’m beginning to see more and more how Phaedra would make a better ruler. She, for example, is not fool enough to treat both her enemies and her subjects like idiots. But instead of voicing these treasonous thoughts, Kurt simply smiled in the direction of the king’s voice, “Good afternoon, your majesty. I was told that I would find Lady Phaedra here, was I misinformed?”

The king rolled his eyes at the others, smirking, “No, bishop. You were not ‘misinformed’. Why do you want her?”

“I just need to speak to her for a moment, in private. It concerns family business that I wouldn’t want to bother your majesty with.”

The king waved a hand dismissively, “Very well then, speak with your blind comrade, Phaedra.”

The knight stepped outside, closing the door behind her, “What do you really want to speak about, Kurt?”

He gave a wan smile, “To the point as always, I see. Very well, there seems to be a belief among many that you would make a better ruler than that fool in there. I share that belief. But I thought that you should be told that I was approached with an offer to join a conspiracy to…forcibly remove the king. Do you know anything about that?”

Steven - Knight - Yang

As one of the knights ordered to protect the healer bishop with his life, Steven was close enough to see the flicker of doubt in Xander's eyes. He looked across to him, seeing the hunted look on his face, as though he were a small animal about to try to run from a predator.

"Don't even think about it, Xander. Even if you manage to escape the others, you can be sure that I'm not going to let you die on us. You're not just a valuable asset I've been told to protect," he lowered his voice a little - what he was about to say wasn't the kind of view one should voice too close to anyone else in the House of Yang, "You're one of the few people who realises that this war isn't worth it. But there are people who will require your healing. It's a burden, I imagine, but some of us are born with an obligation to work for the greater good."
He had decided to live forever or die in the attempt. - Yossarian, Catch-22
