Yin-Yang

Plot- There are two houses of power that rule the world of Chi. The house of Yin and the House of Yang. These two houses have been at war for several years. Both trying to become complete rulers of the world. You are part of one of thee clans during he wars. The house of Yin reside in the forest in a castle with a village surrounding it surrounded by mountains. The house of Yang lives in the valleys out in the open. In a castle surrounded by a village. The houses are separated into divisions. The pawns are the commoners. The Bishops are noblemen they fight using energy, and the knights fight with weapons and have limited energy based abilities.


The two houses powers are opposites of each other. For example The house of Yin controls dark energy and the house of Yang controls light energy. Water, fire. And opposites like that. Yin earth Yang air. Yin moon, Yang Sun. Be creative with your opposite powers.

History- Not much to say, he was raised in the house to fight and never had much other stuff to experience but punishment for his pranks
Weapons- two duel swords.
Other talents- calm under pressure and a great liar/actor

Name- Phaedra

Age- 15

Gender- Female

House- Yin

Standing- Knight (but she's like to be a queen...)

Powers- Can control fear and pain. Can bend a persons internal fear and pain to her advantage. She is very powerful and can be mistaken for the angel of death.

Appearance- She has a tall svelte figure with long thick white blonde hair and a pale complexion. She has violet eyes and small subtle yet elegant features. She also has a brilliant set of psychedelic butterfly wings that have a huge wingspan but can be folded up to a point that's almost un-noticable against her back.

History- Will reveal throughout the story.

Weapons- An exquisite shining longsword that is used as a deadly weapon and a way to channel her magic, and a very imposing shield.

Other talents- She's a very good actor, persuader (without use of threats) and a good liar.

Personality- She's overall a kind person but she is quite reckless on the battlefield. She is defiant and strong as well as bold and tough. But she can be rude and blunt.

Powers- Water. Anything involving water can be used to his advantage. Ex: Walk on Water, creating a barrier, using water as a weapon.

Personality- Calm and serious. He takes his duties as top priority and devotes his life to his order. Nice enough, but rather straight forward.

History- Ian grew up as a commoner. When it was realized he had magical potential he entered the local academy. He graduated at the age of fifteen and has slowly risen through the ranks.

Weapons- The staff in the picture.

Other talents- Politics. Good at persuader and word manipulation.

Powers Bends light to create spacial illusions. Healer. Can place upon people a stupor of happiness that he usually uses to distract people from pain.
Appearance- pure white hair, bluish green eyes. Where's the a long white robe with the sun crest on the back.
History- His family has been the king and queens healers for the last century. He was taught his family trade of healing.
Weapons- Gloves that focuses his healing hands.
Other talents- Can read people very well., This way he can predict their actions before they do them.

Powers: Air-- bendable, aimable, protectable. Most often used to create illusions, temporarily blinding, or as a weapon of most any shape.

Wears white gold sun necklace and single ear piercing at the top of her left ear.

History: Born, raised, and kept in the Yang house basically her entire life. She's never been out of the house except for once when she ran after a squirrel she saw out of her window. Other than that, Jade's been raised to be a bishop all her life.

Weapons: Moldable staff made of wind.

Other talents: Singing, a song she's had since she was born, from a book of myths. She has the song of sirens learned by heart. Jade has hardly ever used it, but when she does it's hard to ignore.

Powers: Can shape shift into any dangerous animal that she pleases. She usually prefers the form of a white tiger.

Powers- Can control all weather that includes the need of heat. EX: specializes in lighting and thunder storms but cannot work with ice.

History- She actually is not of royal blood or anything really. She was discovered with her powers when she accidentally killed her parents in a fire on her 5th birthday. She was taken ina nd quickly wnet thru the ranks. She is very emotional and also a mute.

Weapons-Small daggers and can use anything sharp. She has very good swordsmenship.

Other talents- Is very quick and can know hen people are lying.

Powers: None (or does she?)

Appearances: Fiery red hair, pale skin, freckles, green eyes, tall and slim. Her clothing is worn yet is very beautiful.

Personality: Extremely independent as she has taken care of herself most of her life. Once you get to know her, she is very friendly and will do anything to help another person. She is often outspoken and stubborn if anyone mistreats her for being poor. Though, it takes a while for her to gain trust and doesn't speak to people right away.

History: She is an orphan and makes money by serving the rich as a maid.

Weapons: She rarely needs to defend herself though she does own a dagger just in case.

Other talents: She is very strong from all the cleaning she does. She can run very quickly. You'll see what other talents she has along with history as time goes.

Name- Kurt Ambrose
Age - 18
Gender - Male
House - Yin
Standing - Bishop
Powers( Think of opposites) He controls darkness and cold, and draws his power from the cycles of the moon (i.e., weak under the new moon, strong under the full moon)
Appearance – Silver hair and milky blue eyes. His eyes are incredibly sensitive to the sun, and he is almost blinded by it, but he can see better in the dark than most people. He wears white robes with the symbol of yin embroidered on the back.
History – His family has traditionally served the king and queen of the House of Yin as spiritual advisors and seers. His father was able to predict the future by patterns he could see in the moon, but he was assassinated by the Yang when Kurt was fifteen.
Weapons – A metal staff through which he channels the cold
Other talents – He’s a good speaker and strategist, although this second is somewhat hindered by his sight.

Name- Steven Gilliam
Age - 18
Gender - Male
House - Yang
Standing - Knight
Powers – He can heat objects to extreme temperatures, although causing something to actually catch fire can be seriously draining for him.
Appearance – He has blonde hair, green eyes, and stands at about 6’2”. He wears armour with a slight gold tint and the symbol of Yang engraved into his shield.
History – His family was dishonoured in a previous war against the Yin, in which Steven’s older brother betrayed a Yang stronghold to their enemies.
Weapons – A longsword and shield

Kara - Yin

I ran as fast as I could. I could feel sweat running down my forehead and the sun beating down on me like a hammer.
"Give me back that bread, you little thief!" A woman said, with her fist in the air.
I laughed. She was a stout woman and didn't bother running after me like the rest of 'em. I slipped the loaf of bread into my jacket and ran towards the House of Yin, just out of the village.

I slipped into my normal passageway from behind the castle and walked down the many hallways to my bedroom to devour my lunch. When I walked passed Phaedra's room, guilt rushed through me. I forgot to wash her floors. Phaedra was a picky customer and if I didn't clean up like I was supposed to, I would be in for it.
I heard footsteps. In fear that it could be Phaedra or one of the other bishops, I ran. Again. My life is equated to running.

I quickly but silently moved myself towards the pavilion and opened the door to the outside .

"Excuse me but are you in the sword fighting session?" One of the head leaders of the House, said and shook his head.

Ian, Aimee, and Kurt, some of the highest renowned young knights and bishops in the House of Yin, stared blankly at me with long swords and daggers in hand. I accidently interuppted their training. Whoops.
