Name- Kial Tecom (Kee-al and Tea-comb)
Age 19
Gender female
House- Yin
Standing-knight
Powers-She is sort of like Kara. Her powers haven't yet surfaced, but she'd good at manipulating people. Mostly making them believe lies, and making them remember hurtful memories. (hint, hint. wink, wink)
Appearance-Usually always wears a traveling cloak and almost always has the hood up. Other than that she has strawberry blonde hair with a vine tattoo leading from the edge of her right eye down to her collarbone. It symbolizes the thorns in her life, but only she knows the meaning of it. Her eyes are dark dark brown that kind of look black(not creepy black, natural black) http://media.photobucket.com/image/a%20 ... ht.jpg?o=6
except strawberry blonde

History- Doesn't really remember much until the age of 8. She did so much traveling and at one time was a member of the house of Yang. There she was trained to be a knight and when the war started her father fled Yang with her and they became members of Yin. There's more to her father than she knew, but he passed away and she never knew exactly why he fled to Yin.

Weapons- a dirk that was given to her from her father that she keeps in her boot at all times. She actually has several dirks hidden all in her clothes. Plus a scimitar and a shield she seldom uses. Most of the time she feels it holds her down so instead she just uses her good old scimmy.

Other talents: can hunt incredibly well with such stealth the animal never even sees her comin.

Personality-Doesn't really get along that well with bishops, for whatever reason. Can come across snobby or cocky. She's caring only to her true friends, has her own dark memories, and she also has no regard for other people's feelings; sometimes obliviously being to honest that she's mean.

I walked up from behind Aimee and noticed Kara.

"Kara. What brings you here?" I asked. I realized how leader-like my voice sounded. That was my aspiration though. To lead our forces as the Queen. The King already was neglecting his job and with any more of his laziness we'd fall sooner than we could come to our senses.

I fanned out my wings and made myself as imposing as possible. "Shall I ask again, what do you need?"

I could see her quiver and I met her eyes. I was done, she'd go back to what she was supposed to be doing eventually anyhow.

I had already surpassed the abilities of my fellow trainers. But my ambitions still soared. I could do better than anyone who would ever come to sit on the throne.

"We should continue." I told my fellow trainers. We were doing pitifully. We lacked support from the King because he was using most of his money on

a) Food
b) Housing for... himself. (nothing new)
c) Adding on to his already enormous castle grounds and giving in to bribes by noblemen.

He was absolutely useless.

I took out my anger on a hay filled mannequin reducing it to just a haystack.

The queen had called us down , and by the look of the boy that delivered the message it was urgent. My mother and father approached the Queens thrown and the rest of us bowed.

"One of our convoys transporting food was attacked, by those of the Yin. We suffered many casualties, and many injuries. We have manged to retrieve most of the injured and they are now being brought in. As the Yang's medical clan I'm ordering you to get down to the Medical ward and save all that you can. My parents nodded, and the rest of us rose to our feet. We flanked out the door.

Most of the Pawns that lined the halls. Whispered as we moved down the hall. It wasn't common to to see the intire healing clan in one place.

We got to the medical ward and I was assaulted by the stench of blood. I looked around The room was full. All the beds were occupied by wounded Paws, a few bishops, and Knights.

"Xander," My mom said. "Take care of the ones with missing limbs. They will be in the most pain.

I nodded and approached the first man I saw. Where his leg once was now was a bloody stump. He was screaming in agony. I placed my hand on him. Applying trapping him in a stupor of happiness. In his mind he was probably dancing in the meadows. Then I used my other hand and began to heal his leg. I could completely regenerate his leg, but it would take a long time.

Ian sighed as he watched the queen. She was always like that. He walked over to the girl and helped up while the Queen was distracted. "Go one and finish your duties, and don't mind her," he slipped a gold piece into her hand, "Get a healthy lunch later."

Once she left he concentrated on the training at hand. He focused a moment on his staff and the air around his stated to get damp and heavy. He then created a current of water and blew a manikin to bits.

"Still needs work. You don't build up the necessary water particles fast enough. Without water around you're hopeless."

He looked at her and sighed, but Aimee laughed a bit. Ignoring the he continued his training. He decided to work on his gathering skill if only to get Phaedra off his back.
I will always fight back, no matter what.

She burst into the training room,"I'm sorry I'm late, everyone I.....,"she stopped at the icy glare aimed at her from the Royal Phaedra and gulped.

"No excuses. Next time you must be here on time or I'll have you thrown off the grounds," Phaedra was fuming so Kial only nodded in reply, while everyone else in the room tried to hide their grins."Back to practicing," Phaedra continued.

Kial did as she was told she turned to a stuffed dummy and practiced. A little too dramatically though, using dirk and scimitar, until the dummy's insides were everywhere. People often(all the time) reffered to her as arrogant when she pulled stuff like this.

Kara - Yin

I didn't know what to make of it. Once I was away from the training session and into the castle once again, I looked at the single gold coin in my hand. I couldn't even remember the last time I carried so much money. I decided to keep the coin for an emergency. There were always emergencies.
I was jealous. The bishops, like Ian, never had emergencies I do. They never felt hunger before like I had. They had the money I didn't; even money to spare to give to a poor maiden girl.
Phaedra probably would be busy bossing around the others so I had time to quickly clean the floor. Even though, I wasn't a knight, as a maid, a commoner, I overheard everything.
Phaedra's floor was covered with misc. items, all of which I had to pick up and put in their proper place.
I had gotten my bucket from my bedroom and went to the sink (well outside?) to get some water. As I was filling up my bucket, I overheard a discussion just outside the room that would change the House of Yin forever.

"The Yang are temporarily defeated by the attack." A deep voice said, sneakily.
"Good. We shall move to our next target." Another voice said.

*Whoa, about 6 people in Yin and, what... 3 in Yang?*

[Jade Stephelle - Yang - Bishop]

"Yes, watch the fish, it will be exciting," I mimicked in a naisly voice, then changing back to my own. "Stupid koi,"

I twisted my fingers and watched a bubble pop up out of the water, spooking one of the golden 'n' white fish. It swam away with a little group of its own to the other side of the pond. I fell backwards, onto the arch of the small bridge.

Clouds twisted above me, I stopped a group of the darkest ones and twisted them: YANG. I smiled lightly and then sent it off towards the Ying house. Take that, I thought and giggled.

"I'll be right back!"

I looked up and saw Xander, then called out dramatically, "Oh no! I have fallen and can't get up. Xander, save me!" then threw my arms wide and stuck out my tongue, faking death.

Aimee ~~~ Yin

I stared blankly at Kara and back to Phaedra. I grinned and playfully whipped a wind current around my short sword. I swung it around my head.

"You ready Aimee?" Phae looked at me with a serious look on her face.

I nodded and she stepped close, her white hair bending in my wind current. I grinned and she looked at me with a smug look. I bent the air around her almost like a rope and pulled tight, suddenly I had the visions of me being left behind on a mission left to the flames of a burnung town. I cringed at the thought and released her binding or a wind.

"Aimee! You need to work on that love!" I grinned as she lunged toward me, I deflected her with a strong wind current. I pushed her back with an air current and again I was filled with thoughts of unsurity. I was blinded by the flash of the sword and I was pinned to the ground.

"I win." and she smirked

".."

I walked off, I was hungry and bored, I motioned for the rest of the Knights of Yin to come join me.

We were headed to the castle for lunch. It was pretty much the only thing the King would give us. The castle was exquisite. It had beautiful gold spires and was completely shining. The entry pathway was rumored to be pure crystal. Our entire Kingdom wasn't doing terribly. Although it would flourish beautiful with more attention from the King. It would develop better though, under a Queendom.

The dining hall itself was a huge rotunda with walls lined with silver and a skylight that lit up the entire room. The tables were all connected in somewhat of a paisely pattern. Everything about our castle was glittering and bright.

The food was also not to be commented negatively about. The chef was an extraordinaire and fed everyone well.

In fact our Kingdom was lovely. Full of light and happiness. But the darkness and shadows that allowed it to be that way were lurking everywhere waiting to spring. Of course the denizens and pawns that occupied the city didn't know that. All they knew was the beautiful glowing and sparkling architecture and the community gardens.

The King could be called great and successful by some. But as for I, who knew more about him than most, was already planning a conspiracy.

We all sat together as more powerful denizens occupied most of the other seats.

They all bowed when the King entered. In my mind I told myself no, but I finally succumbed to what was respectful.

The potbellied man that flaunted everywhere in a fur cape walked, more like waddled, over to us.

"I must make a proposal to you knights who have served me wisely. I have been notified that mayhem is being inflicted upon our outer boarders... and even some of the cities and denizens have turned traitors and are now plotting against me. I hope you'll help me. Although now, we don't even know the antagonist. After you're finished please meet me with the bishops and I shall lay out the plans."

First he acted like it was a choice. Then he implied that we must. Shall I fight for my twisted unworthy King? It is my duty that I have been born into.

After the lunch I ran to the stables. My horse was waiting. For me, it really would have been more convenient to fly, but I loved horses and they were the basic means of transportation for all of the knights.

Mine was called Shea. She was quite a lovely white mare. Already she had been decked into her armour by pawns and was ready to mount. The implied meeting place was the Kings Harbour which was a little houselike structure built near our River Haven. It was an underground area that was unknown to all of the denizens and the pawns.

We were all mounted and cantering down the superficially bright streets of our homeland.

*No I counted it's even the yang people just aren't posting yet.*

Xander~ Yang

After hours of healing people I wasn't in the mood to deal with Jade. I led her, but right now all I wanted o do was sleep. None the less I shuffled over to her.

"Are you ok", I asked.

She sprang up and grabbed my knees pulling me down. "Got you," she squealed.

Sometimes I wondered how she became a bishop. A nice girl but she rarely took anything seriously. None the less I laughed with her becuase I needed the pick me up after all the pain I had seen.

Name: Neoma Aphanius

Age: 17

Gender: Female

House: Yang

Standing: Pawn

Powers: Can communicate with ghosts and spirits. They cannot fight, since they are like wind-ish things, but they make wonderful spies and can go invisible.

Appearance: She has wavy black hair that reaches her shoulder blades and a lot of gray streaks. She had fair skin, is of medium hight, has gray eyes, freckles, and a signature, mischievous cheshire cat smile which you can always see on her face. She wears normal Pawn dresses and such, but always a black cloak over it.

History: She was born into the House of Yang. As a child she worked as a servent in the King's home. Her parents were not very good necromancers, yet somehow, she became pretty good. Now she is still a servant, but a favorite of Their Majesties since she learns valuable secrets.

Weapons: An obsidian dagger. (It was a family heirloom. That's how a pawn got such a grand thing.)

Other talents: Is great at manipulating people and bending them to her will.

Kurt - Yin - Bishop

During the day, the bishop usually stayed inside. He was only at the training areas today because he needed to focus on what he had read of his family's history today. Had there been any point where they had placed their loyalty to the ideal of the House of Yin above their loyalty to the sitting king?

He had found a few places in the histories that had hinted as such, but nothing explicit. Simple changes of power to cousins and such if the king died ‘suddenly’, and the continued aid of the Ambrose family to the new king or queen. He sat back, contemplating. Perhaps this offer to support a change for the better in their ruler wasn’t such a bad one. Of course, he’d want to know who was behind it, first. Their king might have been a doddering old fool, but that didn’t mean there were people less suited to the job than he.

His staff repeatedly slammed into one of the dummies. He knew that the others had all left for lunch, but he needed to be alone. Should he support the attempt to put Phaedra in power? Did Phaedra herself even know about it? Kurt knew little of it, not even the name or face of the pawn who had made the offer in broad daylight. Well, these people had gauged him well, it appeared.

"Bishop Ambrose?" A voice broke through the dark of his thoughts. “The king has requested you at a meeting in the Harbour. I’m to take you there now.”

Kurt nodded, collecting a piece of cloth and tying it over his eyes. To most, voluntary blindness seemed a ridiculous thing. For Kurt, darkness was a comfort, light was almost torture.

Kara - Yin

I was terrified. I didn't know what the men were talking about but it was obvious they meant trouble. Even as the lowest of lows in society, I respected the House as anyone else would. I remember the joy when I was notified that I got the job as Royal Maid. Such an honor, as such I will do anything to protect the Yin.
After I finished cleaning, I went to the garden, my usual place to go and relax. Usually, no one was in the garden so I could sit there in peace without being asked do another mopping or whatnot. It was so peaceful.
The nicely cut hedges of the bushes, the beautiful marble fountain, and the singing birds all soothed my soul. I loved nature.
"To the Harbour for an important meeting." I heard a voice say from the entryway to the castle. I felt my stomach drop, knights go to the underground Harbour for only dire situations. I wondered if it had to do with the voices I heard earlier.

"Kara..."

I flipped my head around to see who heard my name.

"Kara, talk to us. Kara....."

There was no one.

A shiver went down my back as I heard the carriages move towards River Haven. In a hurry.

*TexanWriter: I just got a wonderful idea from your post. Can I make Kara, Neoma's "long lost" sister? Right now, Kara thinks she is an orphan. I think it would be interesting for her to inherit the skill of communicating with ghosts but have her find out she is of Yang blood instead of Yin. Or I could go back to my other idea. Tell me what you think lol*
