August-(Shadow)
I was in my room, and before I know it, I'm a shadow. I glide through the corridors unnoticed and I change back once I'm in the empty work out room. In the far corner, I see a punching bag. As I punch the bag, harder and harder, I take out my anger and think. They saw me...how they spotted me at such a distance. I would have to leave soon, as a shadow, and go back. Pretend to be a spy for them. Which means I would have to start practicing my lies tonight. I thought of all the members on the ship who had fought. Korah and the tiger were a perfect pair, moving with each other and helping each other out. I knew that they would not be someone I would have to help out on the battle field. The Water Clan girl seemed nice, along with some of the other riders among the ship, who also seemed a little home sick. Well, everyone seemed at least a little homesick.Even I wanted the comfort of the never ending shadows. I pulled out some throwing stars and started aiming at a small target acrosst the room and thought of the Fire Clan boy. I remembered the convesation I had heard earlier that day. He had been bragging to the Earth Clan girl-Aldiae- about how he had assasinated so many people and how he would be able to defeat the Shadow Clan with ease because he moved in the shadows too.

I looked down and saw my shadow lengthen, reaching for the door. Quickly, I pulled it bak. I knew what my shadow wanted to do. It wanted me to turn into a shadow and attack Joe while he was in a shadow himself. The thought was tempting, just to prove that he shouldn't be so cocky, but I shook my head and threw another throwing star at the target. I couldn't harm him. I couldn't harm him.I couldn't harm him. The thought became a mantra as I persuaded myself it was true. I left home because I wanted to get away from war, I come here and find it, so if I hurt him, I'm just going to be stopping us from ending the war. This thought also was repeated in my head until I could no longer feel my shadow tugging me towards the door. No, my shadow was not going to control me like it had controlled others. But I knew one thing that my shadow was going to get, it was going to get the comfort of shadows back. I was going to have to Shadow Fly home within the next few days...so I could try and keepy myself off the Shadow Clan's most wanted list.

*Sorry I was late catching up..wasn't on all day until now*
I realized that I said I'd be gone for only two weeks...but I was gone for much longer.I hope to stay on this time. :)

*blinks eyes* Wow a lot has happened in a short bit…

I am going to start my post when the battle begins, I want to have a little fun with it . And before anyone freaks out, yes this post is long. You can skip most of the beginning if you want to, I just wanted to do the battle from Korah's perspective!

Korah and Nhara – Animal

Korah glanced down into the waves and was about to tramp off to his room when the sounds of someone approaching caught his ear. He turned to see the girl from the Metal Clan approaching somewhat tentatively. “Hey,” she called, “I’m Zan from the Metal Clan. You?”

Returning the warm smile Korah stuck out his hand as he replied, “Just call me Korah, and this hear is my friend Nhara,” he said motioning over to Nhara.

“Please to meet you both,” Zan replied as she shook Korah’s hand. “Kind of a weird group, huh?”

Korah just grinned as he looked over at the rest, “No kidding, we are a bit of an odd group. But we’re-“ he was suddenly caught off as a loud explosion shook the air and smoke and bits of flaming material rained down all around them.

“What was that?” Zan yelled, alert as they both turned to look out in the sea.

“Shadow Clan Ships!” someone yelled, and within a moment everything turned to chaos. The crew aboard the ship began to hurry around, trying to coax a little more speed out of the sails as others grabbed an assortment of swords, bows, and daggers as they prepared for the trouble ahead. Joe, Jess, and Dean were already going as they focused their attacks on the fire balls that were beginning to rain down from the sky.

My that was quick Nhara purred and Korah let out a laugh as he reached over and patted her neck.

“But not unexpected,” he answered, as his eyes suddenly caught sight of six dark shapes hurtling towards them. “Shadow Balls,” he muttered as he turned and yelled, “August! We need some help.”

August nodded, and began to wave his hands around, drawing on his power. He let out a grunt as he shoved his hands into the air, changing the balls course and causing two of them to fall into the water with a splash. Another missed, mostly by pure luck while two landed on the deck, breaking open and dissolving as a horde of soldiers poured out. “Nhara with me,” Korah called as he unhooked his oak staff and moved forward. Few people get the chance to witness two warriors so melded together that they almost move like one. Korah and Nhara were like the same person, their silent thoughts warning each other as they moved and blurred, carving a path through the shadow forces.

Behind you Nhara warned, and Korah quickly ducked as a shadow ball soared over his head. Dropping to the ground he swung his feet out and locked them around the other soldier’s legs. With a startled yell the soldier toppled down and Korah flipped back up and smacked the man in the head, knocking him unconscious.

“Take him down to the hold Nhara, it would be good to question him once we deal with the others.” Letting out a roar of agreement Nhara picked the man up and leaped away, disappearing with her prisoner down below deck. Turning toward the battle Korah grinned at the four soldiers who had surrounded him. “Let’s do this,” he grinned as he smacked his hands together and let his power take over. His skin seemed to ripple for a second, turning like a liquid as his body burst open. White fur flung out as teeth and claws appeared in a flash. Seconds later two of the soldiers lay dead, their chests torn to shreds by the large white tiger. Turning to the other two Korah let out a roar, challenging them as he charged forward, giving them each a swift death.

“Let’s finish this!” a voice yelled, and Korah turned to see Joe leap into the air, his body bursting into bright flames as he shot into the sky. He was followed by a few others, and after carefully looking around Korah knew that the crew and the other kids would be able to handle who was left. Once again transforming this time he took the form of an eagle as he flew skyward. Looking down at the three ships with the others Korah reached out into their minds, something he could only do while he was in animal form. Take your pick he called.

Joe was all eager and leapt down towards one, while the other two split up as well. Korah just paused, choosing to stay out of the way and help whoever needed it, and to his surprise none of them did. Within a matter of minutes all three ships were sinking into the ocean floor as everyone else headed back towards their ship where the rest of the shadow soldiers were just being finished off. Nhara Korah called out, We have a bigger problem then I thought He didn’t answer the question she sent his way, he merely floated down toward the ship, catching a bag Jess through at him from Joe. After dropping the bag off he began to land just as Aldiae came rushing by, bumping into him and not even pausing to say sorry as she hurried along. She was frustrated, and he didn’t blame her, he could only imagine how hard it must be for her to be way out here, away from land, away from her element, the one thing that made her feel whole.

Korah quickly transformed, brushing off little bits of ash from his skin as Joe hurried on by without even a word. Korah merely shrugged in dismay, it was only natural from some people not to get along. Making sure he had everything he turned and hurried over to the others to see how they were all doing. Most of the kids were fine, better then fine in fact, few of us had even received a scratch. The crew had faired a little worse however, but after helping most of them get patched up Korah hurried down below deck to where Nhara and the prisoner were. The Soldier was already locked up, bound and gagged in the once cell on the ship. Nhara was pacing in front of his cell, and immediately looked up when he headed over. What’s going on? she asked.

Korah looked around, but chose to talk telepathically to avoid any eaves droppers. Did you see them fight? he asked, Most of there powers were far beyond that of an adults, or someone twice their age. They all handled their elements like pros, and their power… three Shadow Ships utterly destroyed! Three! I’ve never seen anything like this in all my life, there not just normal kids. Each one is like me, each one is a protégé, the most gifted of their generation. We are dealing with the best of each group, those who will grow up to shape how their very nations are formed!

Indeed, I noticed their skills during the battle, and I’m sure we will only see more as time goes Nhara replied, We must look out for them. Though I doubt they need it, if anything were to happen to any of them it could raise tension between the clans.

I know Korah muttered as the sound of feet could be heard coming down the steps.

Turning Korah saw Zan, who paused when she saw him and Nhara. “Sorry,” she muttered.

“Its no problem,” Korah answered a bit wryly, “We were just discussing everything that had happened. Our introduction got caught a bit short however, didn’t it. I’m Korah again by the way!”

Joe/fire clan

I left Aldai walked down the holding cells were Korah was questining a shadow troop from the battle. "why did you come for us" Korah shouted in the mans ear shattering the troops ear drum.
"please just don't Hurt me anymore look I'll tell you what you want, okay look you were just unlucky we were just three oh a hundred ships heading towards Kenton to start the war and look for some glass but it's just some wives tale". A hundred ships I thought Kenton they were all heading to the same place. At the same time me and Korah both ran up to therop deck "turn to shore " I shouted the boat turned swiftly and I pulled out a map
"what the hell are you doing we can't change direction we just have to hurry up and get their quickly" Zan shouted "no we can go hear espike a small little place but in the original plans for the now ruined city theirs a root in from espike we can try that way". The Seer nodded in agrement Ashe took Jess job from her.

Aldiae

I felt the ship turn. It made my stomach twirl and I knew I was getting a little sick.
I can't even remember the last time I was on a ship.

"Everyone, we need a group discussion!" I heard someone say on deck.

I loathed it. Or more specifically, I loathed the idea that I had to go on deck and therefore seeing that blasted water again.

I wanted land.

"Isn't Aldiae down there?" I heard Joe ask.

I silently cursed him. He was probably the only one who knew who I was. And that Korah guy. I made a mental check to apologize. Sometimes my mood swings get the best of me.

I slowly made my way up the stairs for the meeting. We did need some strategy and talking to do.

"I'm right here" I said, wearily.

"Good, everyone is here." Korah said.

Every one was on deck as the ship started rocking dangerously The boat wasn't use to going as fast as the it was being made too. "How long do you think we have before we run into another patrol" Aldai shouted at me
"probably not long, look your not that powerful right now so I just want you to go down into the rooms and stay safe" She nodded and ran down into the deck. "Seer stop the boat is breaking apart and well, wait what the hell your heading the wrong way were heading towards water clan turf" Korah shouted above the rushing waves the boat was getting soaked and everyone on it was probably wet now "I must save my family" The Seer said. A crack went through the ship ad I looked to my right although we were heading in the wrong direction we were close to shore.

I grabbed Aldai and pulled her up to the top deck as yet another crack started to show "what the hell are we doing" she yelled "Trust me" I yelled trustingly back to her then I grabbed her and jumped off the boat as it cracked in half
some people were struggling and needed help while others liked Jess were at home helping everybody "hold on" I whispered to Aldai as I swam over to the wreckage their dead lay the seer I looked down and poured water over his head I then took out my knife and pierced his lung letting the water come out and the water seep in this was the water clans way of saying good bye the Seer would sink to the bottom of the ocean.

*Okay, this is what I know so far: We were on the ship, but we were attacked. The ship was destroyed. The Seer is now dead, and we're stuck in the water. Is that right?*

Zan - Metal

My eyes widened as my body splashed into the water. It surrounded me, like cold arms dragging me down into a coffin. I inhaled water as I thrashed about, coughing up, eyes squeezed shut. I couldn't say anything, but I instead swallowed water as I desperately tried to get to the surface again. I knew I should have learned how to swim when Jir offered me the chance.

I felt a hand- a real one, this time- grabbing me and pulling me somewhere. From where I was, it felt like upside down. But soon, I felt warmer water hitting my face, and suddenly, fresh air! I sucked in a lungful of air and wiped my face clean. Surprisingly, I wasn't frowning again this time.

The water around me seemed to act like a platform, holding me up so I could actually sit on its surface. I looked around, trying to find who saved me. There! I saw Jess, who had just surfaced, pulling someone else out with her.

"Thanks," I croaked, the inside of my mouth still tasting of salt. Jess smiled and waved back, and she dived down again, looking for another person to help. I smiled a little. But it quickly slipped off my face when I saw the blood. "What happened? Whose blood is this" I asked.

Korah and Joe were around, and Joe looked at the knife in his hands. It was wiped clean by the waves, but if I focused... Blood. Whose? My brow furrowed in concentration. I zoomed in on the metal, trying to get it to answer me. The elders of my clan could do that, speak to the metal. I hadn't learned how to do it yet.

Nothing.

"The Seer. He's dead," Joe answered.
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

*Oh-kaaaay, this is interesting.*

Jess-

I dove under the water again, a trail of bubbles following me as I breathed. It was lucky I was in the water anyway. Controling so many spells at once was taxing.

Soon I spotted Korah swimming in dolphin shape, double-checking I wasn't missing anybody. Nhara was on the surface, helping the people I had already surfaced get to shore.

Realizing I was running out of time, I lifted everybody else up at once. I felt my strength, already depleted from trying to save the boat from wrecking, quickly going into the water. I was blacking out, but there was nothing I could do. I would have to rest underwater until my strength had returned.

Something smooth and round went under my arm. I cracked my eye open to see Korah bringing me to the surface. I dredged up some strength to kick, just so he didn't have to do everything on his own. He spoke in dolphin, telling me to rest. Soon large teeth mouthed my shoulder, and I was up on the surface.

"You didn't need to do that," I rasped, slinging my arm over Nhara's back.

He shifted back to his human form. "Yes, I did."

"But--"

"Nothing. It's better to get everybody up at once." He smiled.

I looked at the blood in the water, trying to change the subject. "The Seer. He's gone."

Korah shook his head. "Nhara says that can wait. Right now, let's get everybody to shore."

Aldiae - Earth

I was too weak. I was one of the first people to get on shore thanks to Joe but the water was so fierce.

"Ok now we really need a meeting." I heard Korah say.

Everyone gathered around and I felt Joe pick me up off the ground.

"You ok?"

"Yeah, sure."

Joe eyed me suspiciously and walked back to the group. I followed behind him.

Korah and Jess started talking about the Seer, where we had to go next, and how we were going to get food.

I started to speak. I was going to suggest talking to the trees, finding some herbs, or making shelter. I wanted to be useful.

But it was too late.

I felt myself get dizzy and everything blacked out.

*had to do that....*

Hahaha just, look at this all as a brand new adventure! YAY!

Korah and Nhara – Animal

We can deal with the Seer in a second, Korah heard Nhara’s voice order as he slowly shifted back into his human form. His smooth glistening skin faded to a soft tan color as his hair slowly stretched out of his head and he was once again human. We need to make sure everyone is okay.

Korah looked over at Jess who was staring into the bloody water, that was lapping at the shore. She quickly turned away from it, looking a bit sick as she said, "The Seer. He's gone."

Korah shook his head. "Nhara says that can wait. Right now, let's get everybody to shore."

Jess nodded, realizing to that the others were the important thing and they all quickly gathered together, doing a quick head count to make sure they were all there. “We need to head to the nearest town,” Korah said, as the small group of people came together. Most of them were still soaking wet, and looked exhausted after the whole ordeal. He could hardly blame them, this trip had turned into one nightmare after another, and now they were ship wrecked somewhere in the Nothing Nation.

Someone gasped on the corner and they all quickly turned to see Aldiae pass out onto the ground. Zan was immediately at her side, checking the earth girls post as she called, “Her pulse to seems a bit weak, and she’s warm, feverish almost.”

She’s been away from the earth to long, plus she was totally submerged in water, we need to get her further inland before she comes worse. Surrounded by the trees and plants she should get better, Nhara said, reaching out into Korah’s mind.

Korah nodded to her as he turned to the others and said, “We need to get her further inland, away from the water,” he paused as he looked up to the sky where the sun was slowly lowering and just beginning to set. “We should probably make shelter to, the sun is setting soon and we won’t get anywhere at night, or with Aldiae like this.”

The others nodded and Jess spoke up, “We’ll need to get some food to.”

“I’ll help with that,” Joe said as he lifted a single finger and a jet of flame shot into the sky.

“let’s go then,” Korah said as he lifted up Aldiae’s body and laid her on Nhara’s back before they turned and walked into the forest. Some of the others followed to help set up shelter and get Aldiae comfortable while others turned to go gather food and supplies, or whatever the could scavenge from the wreckage or find in the forest.

*DSF: *throws confetti**

Aldiae - Earth

I woke up with a tiger sleeping next to me. I think its name is Nhara. Morli hadn't taught me how to talk to animals yet but it was more important to talk to nature anyway.

"Excuse me, Nhara? That's your name right?" I said, cautiously touching the tigers back.

It looked at me weirdly.

I don't know exactly what you are saying but Korah and the others are that way if you need them. I'm glad to see you're awake unlike myself.

I only picked up a little of what Nhara said but she pointed her head to the right so I figured she knew that I wanted to find the others. I didn't mean to wake her up!

I hugged every single tree I came across and breathed in the grass. I loved everything and I found myself in the best mood possible. Earth at last.

I found Joe trying to kill a bird; probably for dinner. I looked at him disgusted and I remembered I was probably the only vegetarian here.

I slipped by him careful not to scare off his prey.

Jess was by a river trying to catch a fish. I guess everyone was trying to find food. Then, I had an idea. I could go find some herbs.

I didn't want to ruin anyone's concentration so I went off to find some edible plants. After an hours hunt, I found some jugberries and greenweed for food. There was also some dryweb; wonderful for medicinal purposes. I figured we could run into a lot of injuries so I packed some seeds in my pocket.

The ground was moist so growing food wouldn't be a bad idea.

I rummaged through the forest trying to find where the others decided to make camp. I had no idea how long I was sleeping. I should have asked Nhara.

At last, I found the other's belongings in a circle. Korah and Zan were sitting on the ground talking. I went over to them to discuss our plans on what to do next. Shelter was a big point.

August-(Shadow Clan)

When I saw Jess, Korah and Zan talking, I stayed near them as I scanned for shadows that weren't shadows. I knew that the prisoner had survived. I wasn't sure if he had been secured properly, he might have, it was impossible to tell. Whether he had been or not, it really didn't matter now. That was the thing about my people. We could fly as a shadow. We didn't have to be on land to Shadow Fly, we could be in the air. Sure it was harder, more noticable, and flying in natural shadows was much more prefered, but it could be done. Maybe he had survived. Scratch that. I know he survived. Now it was even more important that I got home before he did. Carefully, I got up and I tapped Korah lightly on the shoulder. "Do you mind if I talk to you?" I asked, him and then added: "Privately." This recieved a few looks, but I was sure I wasn't so untrusted now. Korah nodded. I took him a little bit away, where the others could see me, but couldn't hear me. "I need to leave." He gave me a look which was almost undescribable. Not quite surprise, or annoyance, but not completely understanding either. "Let me explain," I said. "The Shadow Soldier, I'm sure he recognized me. Any others who survived did too. You heard them yelling my name." He nodded as the memory of the battle came back to him. "Its just, if I'm on wanted, I'll be dead before they know it. Treason isn't tolerated in the Shadow Clan. Neither are traitors, no maatter who's son you are. Please. I should only be gone a few days, I just need to lie to them, tell them I'm on their side. Just so I won't find myself dead."
I'm sure Korah was thinking something like, "Good luck," because I was such a terrible lier. Then again, he was probably also telling this to his tiger, Nhara. It didn't bother me, they were almost one when they faught together."Just do me a favor..don't tell anyone, besides Nhara. I'm afraid they won't trust me as much anymore. Maybe you guys could find another guide and shelter while I'm gone."

*Sorry DSF, I wasn't sure how your character would react and how he would talk..so I sort of had my char. talk fast.. I hope you guys don't mind.*
I realized that I said I'd be gone for only two weeks...but I was gone for much longer.I hope to stay on this time. :)
