Keira

Keira was playing volleyball with some kids from Athena when Chelsea walked up to her. She looked pale and confused.

"How'd it go?" asked Keira cautiously. Chelsea shrugged.

"Okay, I guess... I'm not insane or anything..."

"That's good."

Keira glanced back at the Athena girls. "Guys, I'll be back later," she called to them. They frowned, but nodded. Keira walked over to Chelsea.

"Do you want to talk?"

Chelsea looked around. "Maybe. Yeah. That'd help..."

The two girls wordlessly headed over to the lake.

I sat next to Keira on the edge of the river bank, twirling my feet around in the cool water. I'd known her for so long, I could trust her with some of my personal facts. I trusted her completely.

"The oracle was pretty intense..." I began.

"What did it say?" She asked, slowly.

"This was what it told me..." I repeated the poem.

I could see her going over it in her mind.

"What do you think it means?" She asked.

"I don't know. Can I tell you something though. The Oracle... it brought back memories..."

She nodded turned herself towards me.

"I came here really young. I was originally with my twin sister, Ellory," I flinched at her name but kept going,
" Ironically, my mother had tried to drown us as toddlers, as she couldn't really deal with both of us, twins, with her meager income. We obviously survived. We came in contact with my dad. He kept us with him for a while but when we were about 9 we left the water. He told us where we were supposed to go. We were doing wonderfully but I guess our aura was too strong... and they found us. We were so close too. Just on the borderline of the Camp and the Outer Edges. "

I was probably tearing up. I hated how the Oracle chose the most emotional memory to portray.

The bruise's from mini-zeus had begun to heal but no way was i going to forgive him for that. He may be one of the so called big three but i was half a God of war and i would have some damned respect. I was fuming as i rounded the corner to where are makeshift quest group was gathering. Then i saw Shannon again. Oh no, i thought as i felt the fear rear its ugly head again, stupid hormones. I smiled and wandered over to chat.
"So um what shall i do?" i asked completely lost in all this organisation. War is deffinitely supposed to be easier than this, i thought i dly.
"Well most of nthe stuffs gathered up but i'd head by the armoury if i were you. You look a mess." I looked down to see numerous dents burns and scratches all ove my armour and my badly dented sword in its sheath. "Ok then." i replied before turning and running away. I hate being a teenager, i thought.

When i got to the armoury i ahnded in my kit and was about to be given some new kit when Chiron appeared. "Your dad sent you some new kit" he said pointing to a pile in the corner. I wandered over and began looking through the stuff. Wow dad had really gone over board. He must have been to the cyclops to get this stuff made although i recognised some stuff. Amthir, my first sword although it had obviously been improved by the Cyclops, Kargul, the thunder hammer and some bronze armour containing a note which said Fear not the powers of my siblings or their decendants for not lightning, nor fire, nor water or earth may harm you so long as you are within these bronxe walls. I thanked Chiron, offered a prayer to my Father and ran off back to our camp.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.

Shannon - Athena

We were all intensely waiting for Chelsea's arrival back and were getting prepared for the quest. Just in case, I decided to get my sword sharpened and pen refilled with both dangerous acid on one side and medicine in the other. Eventually, Keira, Lizzie, and I decided to play a game of volleyball once we were done.

Volleyball was loads of fun. We had an odd number of people so someone had to be going against 2. It was chosen that it would be me since I have the most upper body strength of all of them. It was a tie game when Chelsea came over. I was so excited! She looked kinda beat and tired so I didn't bother her too much with all the spinning questions in my mind.

Keira and Chelsea are best friends so it was no surprise that they went off on their own to talk.

I didn't necessarily mind. It was just Lizzie to beat now.

Though, it made me remember. When I came to Camp Half Blood. When I discovered that I was a demigod. I hated it and I still somewhat hate it. But I guess its better than what I had before. All the fighting, financial problems, and alcohol was getting pretty old. And scary. More scary than the monsters it seemed.

*Haha I like how Chelsea has a "history" before she came to camp. I didn't think about that...*

*Wow, you guys post quickly!*

Gwen~ Aphrodite

"OH, MY GOD!, Why will this hair not stay in place?" She had been trying for the better part of an hour to get her hair to stay in place. There seemed to be one hair that just would not cooperate with her. Her make-up was flawless and her outfit was of the lastest fashion, but she would she ruined if her hair wouldn't stay in place. Why can't I be normal? Why did my mom have to be Aphrodite? Why am I this pathetic? why, why, WHY?

*I hope someone can work her into the story, if not I can post another entry.*

Lizzie - Athena

"Wow," I panted as I kept on diving after the balls. "Did you play volleyball back at your school?"

"Yeah!" Shannon yelled, slamming the ball right in the corner of my side of the court.

"Crap," I muttered.

"Hey, wait a minute," Shannon called out to me and jogged to where I was. "You think Chelsea is okay?"

I looked out to where Keira and Chelsea were sitting, talking.

Shannon - Athena

I was transported out of my thoughts from when I wasn't at camp, when Lizzie suggested we go over to where Chelsea was. It had been awhile so I guess it would be ok if we joined in their conversation. I saw Gwen in the distance, messing with her hair, a few feet away so I motioned her to come with us.

Chelsea and Keira were sitting by the river.

"Hey guys! We just wanted to make sure, you were ok." I said, walking down to the riverbank.

"Oh, yeah. Um, I'm ok. Thanks." Chelsea said. Her face was red, like she had beenn crying so I knew she was lying.

"Oh...care to have three other people join in the conversation?" Shannon asked.

"No, go ahead. We were just talking about," Keira talked this time as Chelsea burried her face in her hands, "Life before Camp Half Blood."

Why was this happening to me? Every thought that came to my mind had to do with my past. I tried to shrug it off but something made me tell my story.

"Life was hard before camp. My dad was an alcoholic and always was gambling away money. One night, it just got really bad between my mom and dad. They're always fighting but that night's brawl was much bigger. I couldn't take it anymore so I ran away. That's when they attacked." I said.

By the time I finished, everyone was sitting down by the riverbank, arms over each others shoulders. I knew this quest that Chelsea is going to lead us on, was going to be ok. We were a team; bonded by our life stories. Teamwork is golden.

*Man...I'm so addicted to this...sorry for such a long post lol*

Keira

The sun was beginning to set over the lake. Keira glanced up and saw a few stray campers making their way to the pavilion. Keira groaned. She was in no mood for dinner.

"We should probably go," she muttered. Chelsea glanced up. She stared in the direction of the pavilion. She nodded and stood up slowly. The Athena girls picked themselves up slowly. Keira jumped up, then felt like she was far to springy for the mood. Somewhat guiltily, Keira followed Chelsea and the Athena girls up the hill towards the pavilion.

The fire pit in the center of the pavilion crackled merrily. Keira quickly got her food, and dumped half of her helping of roast beef in the fire. Sometimes she wondered why she burnt her food for the gods in Olympus to smell... Her father did not have a throne there - Perhaps a more appropriate course of action would be to bury the offering.

Keira didn't know what she thought of her father. So many people seemed to think he was the 'evil' god, and that he never showed any pity or mercy. Keira couldn't believe that. He fell in love with Persephone, didn't he? If one can fall in love, how cold could his heart possibly be?

Keira began eating slowly. Nothing was definite about her father... She wished Hades would just let Keira go to him and meet him. He'd sent her small signs to remind her that he was watching, but that was all...

And then, of course, what the Oracle had said to Chelsea had mentioned Hades. Keira would follow Chelsea in whatever Chelsea decided to do. But what if that meant challenging her father?

Keira looked over at Chelsea. Chelsea was the one person at Camp Half Blood who Keira felt could relate to her. Chelsea was another child of one of the Big Three - She knew the isolation they faced... They had come to Half-Blood only months apart from each other, and had bonded quickly.

Keira would do almost anything for Chelsea. But could she challenge a god for her?

**Hint-hint. Athena is a goddess, which meant she fell in love with a mortal man. I don't think the goddes of wisdom would fall in love with an alchoholic**

Lizzie - Athena

I kept quiet as I gave my offering to mom and sat down at the Athena table. My siblings chattered all around me as I kept quiet. I kept on thinking about my life before camp.

"So?" I jumped when Shannon sat next to me. "If you don't mind me asking, how was your life before camp? It seems like you have always been here."

"If you don't mind a long story," I said. What was I doing? I never told anyone about my life before camp. Besides Chiron, no one knew.

"I'll listen," she said, waiting.

"Well, My family had been a wreck. My dad found me on the doorstep of his house one cold December day. He was married at the time, but when his wife saw me, she started screaming at him, accusing him of cheating on me. She left him the next day with their two sons, leaving me with him.

"He became depressed and usually left me alone. I always wanted his attention, especially when I made something that I thought was impressive with the lego blocks. He always yelled at me to go away." I paused for a minute, taking a big gulp out of my coke.

"He used to be well-known professor at Harvard. All the students looked forward to having his classes. That's the reason why mom went how to see him, and ended up having me." Shannon just kept on listening.

"I guess mom had always been watching and looking after me; that's why she sent and opportunity one day. It was on my 7th birthday. It was completely freezing outside, and snow was beginning to fall. The doorbell rang and I went to go see who it was."

I smiled to myself as I remembered opening the door. "When I first saw who was out there, I was flabbergasted. Who wouldn't if they saw two other kids who looked the same age standing on their doorstep at the beginning of a snow storm?"

"Seriously?" Shannon interrupted me. "Two other kids? Who were they?"

I took another big gulp. "It was a girl named Grace. She was a daughter of Apollo. And with her......" I dropped the sentence, unable to say his name.

"Who else?"

"Chase," I whispered, dropping my head in my hands as the tears began to flood.

**Sorry for the long post. It just came to me and I thought it might have some importance to the quest**

okay, i just want to ask why we suddenly just left a meeting when there was a monster summoning, and we still have not gone back to discuss the quest, in the book the talk starts right after the oracle meeting.

*Ugh, duh....What was I thinking? I told you guys before...ask me a math or science question but nothing in mythology...that's ok though. I'll somehow change it to my liking so basically ignore my above post. I love making my characters have sad pasts (?)*

Shannon - Athena

I looked intently at Lizzie as she started to cry. It was so...confusing. I wanted to know so badly (as everything else it seems) who Chase was and why did he bring such a sad memory to her. I had somewhat bad memories myself but I wondered if I could tell Lizzie. She was my half sister after all but I was still a little shy about telling other people about my life.
I put my arm around her and gave a slight hug. She looked up, smiled and hugged me back. It was the kind of hug I wished my Dad would have gived me. I never really got to see him much.
"You don't have a past, do you?" Shannon said, with a slight smile.
I flinched in my seat and opened my mouth to answer.
Then, Chelsea stood up from the Posiedon table and gave a whistle to get everyone's attention. I was saved.
"I'm ready to share what I saw from the Oracle!" She said, excitedly.

We were leaving tomorrow. I tried to stay calm. Calmness works wonders.

EDIT: boltageman: Is this what you mean you want to happen?

Caleb

He leaned back in his chair at let out a sigh of relief as Chelsea announced she was going to share what she'd learned. Or rather, her interpretation of what she'd learned. His father had told him once or twice that the Oracle could be pretty obscure with her prophecies.

The thought brought him back down to earth for a few moments - he knew that most of the others rarely saw their parents, whereas he usually got a visit from Apollo every few months. Even when he had to drag the sun's light around the world almost constantly, he managed to make time to see his few children and go out on quests from time to time.

But most importantly was the fact that they were leaving tomorrow. Caleb was going to have to get a few things together, to make sure that he wasn't going to be wanting for anything at an inopportune moment. Since no one is posting...

Shannon - Athena

The prophecy was extremely confusing. Which is actually a good thing since I love a nice challenge. We gathered around in a huddle to think things out (Lizzie's idea. We Athena children as you already know love thinking)

"So, our first step is to travel to the island of the Demon King." I said.

"Right, which may need that we need to bring swimming equipment." Chelsea said.

"Or we could fly over!" Mikael said proudly.

"Good. That should work." I said.

We continued to think things out together.

Ryan-Zues~~

I looked to the others. "well then we need to know where to go first" i said. "now demon king island could be two things. Either The underworld, it could be the island heroes go there. Or and island in the sea of monsters" i looked and saw one of the people confused.
"whats the sea of monsters" asked Shannon.
"its the Bermuda triangle" i said. " it is a place where monsters live, like the sirens. Hopefully it is there. That way we have Celsh over there for help" I looked to her and she was smiling a bit at the compliment. "now first we need to think which it is." I asked. "i personally think the sea, but sense Chelsea is the leader her choice, her thought"
