Rush:

Rose's question made him turn and give a slight bow, at her presence. "As, you know Miss, we plan on making the move soon," He motioned to the demons around him. They were all practicing. "We've had every single demon prepare for the attack. Everything is falling into place, and I assure you, the Angels have no idea."

"And just when is this attack?" There was a certain sting to her words and Rush grimaced.

"In a minimum of two weeks time, Miss."

She sighed,"Very well," and turned away.

Jinx:

Jinx smiled at that and a gave a small giggle. "Hopefully you can take a little heat." She snapped her fingers, creating a flame, and playfully threw it his way. It was tiny, but he got the message. She was never afraid of a challenge.

She turned back to Latanya, who surprisingly met her gaze, and handed her the bow and arrow. The fire had left them unharmed with Jinx's help. She smiled at Latanya and turned back to Gatian.

"So what about having that spar match.....right now?" She grinned and he shot her a sideways glance. He could probably feel that she was changing and she could feel it too.

Gatian

He shouted in surprise as the flame Jinx tossed him set fire to his pants. He beat at them hastily, much to the amusement of the others, and managed to put them out. Where most would have scowled, he laughed along, grinning across at Jinx.

He collected his staff from where he'd left it resting, "You're on." He said, grinning, "The question is, can you attack me?"

He set up an emotional barrier between them, making her feel a distinct fear of hurting him, drawing on any other qualms she might already have about doing that. Naturally, the short distance between them meant that it was reflected back on him, but he just wanted to see if it were possible for her to break through. His main role in battle had always been to incapacitate the enemy and leave them to the other angels. Now he needed to see if he could do both, if he could suppress his own emotions.

Jinx:

I couldn't fight the smile that played across my face. I wonder how good he is. A blaze of fire appeared in my hands and I morphed it into a staff. It was sturdy and hard just like any staff, and would burn just like fire. I took a step toward him and we circled each other for a minute.

He jabbed his staff toward me and I was about to do the same when sudden panic gripped me. I stopped instead and jumped back. I didn't want to hurt him. It didn't make sense, seconds ago I'd of liked nothing better than to fight him to the death. Not literally of course. I tried to block off the emotion but it kept resurfacing. What happening!?

Gatian twirled and brought his staff down with impressive force on my stomach. I landed on one knee and gasped for air.

"Jinx! Are you okay? I'm sorry I didn't mean for it to hurt you." He whispered as he knelt down beside me.

"I'm fine," I snapped and shook off his concern as I got up. I needed to block out this emotion I felt. Father.... With that I forced every single thing my father had done to me to the surface of my mind, blocking out any shred of concern. All I felt now was pure rage.

I could feel the fire inside of me burst and my staff grew. I was going to give him hell, friend or not...

Jude-

He was worried. That was sweet. I smiled and then looked down at my feet and stoped smiling. I was being a complete idiot. There was a very real chance that he would die in the upcoming war. Now was not the time to be falling in love. Besides I had only known him a day.

I took a sip of coffee and he handed me the materials he had gotten. I set down the coffee mug and took them eagerly. I walked into the living room where I had previously cleaned the guns and set the materials next to the revolvers. I had a few of my own materials next to the fire place. I couldn't start quite yet, but I could get everything set.

**Come on, we need some people other than me, Moonlight and Rory posting**

Gatian

He was initially surprised at the sudden repression of any emotion within Jinx, but then the solid wall of rage hit him. Initially he staggered backwards, shocked by it, trying to prevent it from affecting him. He grimaced, holding out against it for a moment before her rage affected him just as equally. Even as her staff burned even brighter, he brought his up into a guard position, his eyes reflecting the flames of her staff.

When his emotions were triggered by those around him, they fed on things he might have felt otherwise. Now, they felt on an indignant outrage that she actually had the nerve to get angry at him in a sparring match, and to block out all his attempts to avoid fighting. She actually wanted to hurt him - seriously hurt him.

The others, seeing how angry both the angel and half-angel were, starting shouting for them to calm down. But Jinx wasn't about to, she had a strong control of her emotions, apparently, and she knew that calming down even the slightest would mean that Gatian could use her emotions against her again.

Their staves clashed against each other, the fire around Jinx's forcing him to step away after a moment, gradually driven back by an infuriated Jinx, parrying every blow with enough force to drive her - but not the heat - back a step every time she struck at him.

Ben

He followed her into the living room, looking over her shoulder as she laid out the materials around his revolvers. She cleaned them already? He thought, a little surprised.

“When’s Cedrick going to get here?” he asked. She gave him a look he didn’t quite understand, and he continued, mumbling, “Just want to get started on those, is all…” And I want to know how much more time I have to spend with you before we’re into business properly. He gave himself a mental shake, What am I doing! If I let someone in I’ll only hurt myself further, and I’ll run the risk of losing the chance to properly avenge my family!

Cedrick sat underneath a tree in a wood. He concentrated and opened a mental link with Heaven. This is Cedrick reporting in.

Go ahead, what do you have to report? Replied the voice in his head.

I've made contact with a few local hunters in the area. They will be ready in time.

And how much time do we have?

Two weeks at the most.

Alright, Report back in two days from now.

The connection was cut and Cedrick opened his eyes. Sighing he let the morning air cool his sweating brow, "War really isn't cut out for me." He stood up and looked around, no one to be seen. He teleported behind a local bakery and walked out in front. Inside he got himself a cup of coffee and a box of donuts. Walking back behind the store he teleported one last time behind Jude's building. He decided to knock on the front door instead of teleporting in.

Once let inside he smiled and showed he had brought donuts. Jude smiled and grabbed them to take into the kitchen. Cedrick noticed the revolvers on the table and glanced over the supplies already gathered. Rummaging through his pockets he smiled and placed the remaining ingredients on the table. "That should do it."

"Hey Cedrick?" He turned to see Ben looking at him with a serious stare.

Becoming stern himself he asked, "What?"

"How much time do we have? Don't play me, I need to know."

Cedrick sighed as Jude walked back into the room, "We have about two weeks if we're lucky."
I will always fight back, no matter what.

[Sorry guys, I had a pageant this weekend, and I've been crazy busy. So, can somebody PM me and give me a quick run-through of what I've missed, and where I could come back in at? I don't want to mess anyone up.]

Jinx:

Blow after blow she tried to destroy his defense, but Gatian was stronger. She even tried a few cheap blows once or twice, around an area no man ever wishes to be hit. Still he had managed to avert the blow. She was getting more aggravated and as she stepped back to take a breather just as Gatian did she could hear the absolute silence in the room.

She shot a sideways glance to her right. Cale and Cariad were paying close attention to the fight while Senra and Crystal looked increasingly nervous. Latanya's eyes, however, never once left Jinx's foot work.

Jinx turned back to Gatian and realized he was already coming toward her. She tried to move at the last second so that he'd go by her but he twirled once he passed her and swiped at her head. She ducked. Finally he isn't going easy on me. All she wanted now was to hit something, destroy something. Her vision was red.

They circled each other silently for another moment and he lunged at her, but this time she was faster and she averted him. Jinx was at his back and with one quick flick of her wrist she striked the back of his knee, forcing him to the ground. This is it..... She lifted her blazing staff and her eyes reflected the flames that licked the air. A wicked smile played across her face and she could feel the power coursing through her veins.

She brought the staff down, but stopped in mid swing. Oh my god....wha.....what am I doing... In pure horror she dropped the staff, which quickly evaporated before even hitting the ground. Had I been about to kill him? The question inside her head seemed obvious.....yes The worst part about is that Gatian hadn't even moved, he would've let her. Suddenly she knew what had happened. There was to much of her father in her, she was a monster. She ran from the room crying and could hear the others running over to help Gatian. Jinx was disgusted with herself, as soon as she entered her room she locked the door. Not for fear of what might get in but for fear of what might get out.

**I tried to add you guys in. It was harder than I thought, but you can start conversation with Gatian and talk about the fight I suppose. Oh, and my next post will have Rush in it. Thanx**

Hmm....She's fast on her feet. And she's not as light hearted as everyone else here. She will make a good fighter. She watched as the two of them fought, watching Jinx's moves. Jinx was hungry for her prey, in this case, Gatian. Latanya watched as the staff came down upon him, then stopped mid-strike.

Jinx had fled the room, and the others fled to Gatian. Of course, she followed the girl out and knocked on the door of the room in which she had trapped herself in.

"Go away!" Jinx shouted, but it was what Latanya had expected.

"No. You did well. I can see that you had enough sense to stop yourself. That is what keeps you from being a monster, and either way I shall not judge, for you a great warrior and should only recognize yourself as so." Latanya waited, as there was a long silence behind the door.

"I almost killed him..." Jinx replied.

Senra watched the fight and then watched as Jinx took off. She hurried over to Gatian and quickly checked for wounds to help heal him if she needed to.

"Someone go check on Jinx." He said. Senra knew somone left, but she wasn't sure who had. Just that someone would help Jinx.

Rush:

The time was drawing near and he'd lied to Rose when he'd said all demons were ready. Most demons were too full of rage to fight with any decency let alone learn to fight with a sword. Plus they needed to be ready within two weeks. Never could anyone pull it off.

He shook off the worry and focused on reading a map of the angel base. He acquired the map from a spy that actually was due any minute with more news.

"Sir, I've assembled 30 more Demons to fight beside us," spoke Silus, Rush's truly loyal second in command.

He sighed,"Only thirty more? That makes our army no more than three hundred demons. Pathetic."

Jinx:

Latanya didn't understand, she couldn't possibly have. Jinx was a monster and that's all she'd ever be.

"Jinx, please come out. I'd like it much better if I didn't have to talk through wood," At the last part a smile was audible in Latanya's voice and it made Jinx want to smile along, but she couldn't.

"I'm sorry, Latanya, I'm sorry....Will you tell Gatian I'm sorry?" She mumbled the words like a half delusionaly crazed person and continued to take a step back with each word. Her feet were closing the space between her and the window behind her.

"I forgive you. Don't you know that Gatian could never stay mad at you, either.....,"Latanya's voice trailed on but those were the last words Jinx heard before she flung open the window and was already making her way down the city streets at a sprint, passing a coffee shop and apartment building on the way. I'm late, besides the others won't even know I've left.

Houses passed and she was positive she'd been running for at least ten minutes. Some people stared at her and watched with obvious curiosity as she went by, but she ignored them. A little farther now. A house came into view and she bulldozed through the front door, closing it behind her. Then made her way to the basement and knocked on the door frame of the demon hideout.

Gatian

He hadn’t needed too much of Senra’s healing, the blow to his leg had burned him a little, but nothing more. He was just stretching it a little, trying to rid himself of the tiredness that early healing could bring to anyone, when footsteps echoed down the corridor. Latanya appeared in the doorway a moment later. She looked shocked.

“Jinx is gone!” She said.

“What?” Senra beat Gatian to it, looking just as horrified as any of the others.

“She said she’s a monster, and the she said she was sorry, and to say sorry to you, Gatian. And then she just went quiet for a while, so I forced the door open, and she just wasn’t there any more!”

Gatian sat up, swearing briefly as pain flared in the back of his leg. The healing still wasn’t completely finished, “We have to find her. Now. If she believes she’s more demon than angel, she might go to her father.”

**I think I confused you guys. Jinx's dad is dead and in my next post I was going to explain how she's the one trading information about the angels in order to receive info on her mom's whereabouts. I probably should've explained how her dad died and everything, but I figured it would'ne matter.**

Jude-

"-two weeks." I heard as I walked back into the room where Cedrik and Ben were. I sighed and walked towards the fire place where all my supplies were set up. I threw a few ingredients into the fire and it turned white.

I would have to melt the silver over it but not until later. I started separating the correct measurements of the other ingredients into small glass bowls to be mixed and used later. It only took a few minutes. I hung a few blessed charms on the fireplace mantel then turned and signaled Cedrik to catch the revolvers as I tossed them to him.

He was going to bless them. I wasn't sure how he was going to do it, whether we would be needed or not. My head was still pounding.

"Are you going to need us?" I asked, referring to the blessing of the guns.
