*Honest truth, and a note for everyone. When one of the twins is asks a question, and the reply is "who are you" (just an example) The twins will graciously point out they asked the question first, but answer the question anyways.*

She had jet black hair, and Spencer was surprised that underneath her outer demeanor she was quite pretty. He rubbed the back of his neck. The only female he had ever conversed with was Cadence. Any other he had conversed with Cadence had been around. She wasn't ehre now. She was cowering beneath a table in a separate room. She feared anything now. Especially when she had had to climb that huge ladder to climb through this window. Spencer felt guilty for forcing her. He, however, had had to leave so that he didn't see her in pain. It stabbed his own heart.

He graciously introduced himself, with a bow. He was surprised that she had not yet commented on his British accent. Many of the ladies that his mother had conversed with had swooned over his accent, saying how endearing it was.

"My-My sister can use telekinesis as well," Spencer stumbled over the words. He was so shy. His thoughts rambled through his head, as well. he didn't know if he should tell her anything. But she didn't appear to be like their parents.... So maybe Mum and Dad had some sort of odd American addiction they'd never heard of before.

"Our parents tried to kill us this evening. So we sort of ran. Something came over them."

"The shadow," the girl murmured. "Where's your sister?"

"Having a panic attack." He answered simply, like it was nothing. He didn't want to see her troubled face in his head any more.

I hope this is okay.

* i guess i can go with this*

Gary~~

Gary did not see the headlights as the car came in but he did see the shadows retreat for some reason. He quickly took this opening and shimmed down the pillar and onto the ground and began to run. He saw a girl running to him and he instinctively hit her in fear of her being a shadowed person. After he saw he fall his eyes leaned on the car behind her which quickly became his target.

He ran for the car and quickly got there to find the door locked. It took him a few seconds though to realize the car was comfortable with the top down. He jumped in and adjusted himself in the car seat. He only just realized though if the keys were gone he was hopeless now.

Luckily to Gary though the keys still rested in the ignition ready to be turned. Gary turned the keys and the headlights blared on and the engine began to roar. He hit the gas and the car sped forward in the night being engulfed in the shadows and darkness, luckily only the normal and good kind.

*Heh heh, oops. Sorry, I guess I’m still getting the hang of the twin’s personalities. I’ll try to do better!*

Kelly
---

“Kelly, go give Raven some coffee,” said Harley, the director. “At the rate she needs the stuff she’s probably passed out!”

“Sure thing," I said. Picking up one of the many lattes I had gotten and placed on a table, I went to Raven’s section of the warehouse. I went in smiling, glad that I was able to come along on this weeklong shoot.

When I went through the door, the screen was up, an empty coffee cup sideways on the floor, and Raven was talking to some guy. I nearly dropped the cup I was holding.

“Raven? Who is this?” my voice was shaky, much to my dismay.

“Spencer,” Raven calmly answered. “He’s fine. In fact, he even knows about the shadows.”

Spencer gave a small bow and smiled at me.
“Pleased to meet you,” he said.

OMG, would you listen to that accent? I thought. He sounds like Harry Potter, but not! It’s so… enchanting.

“I’m Kelly,” I walked up to the two, a little behind Raven for protection. It wouldn’t be the first time she was wrong about a guy. “So why are you here?”

“Um, me and my sister’s parents tried to kill us,” he said. He didn’t seem very comfortable talking to us.

“They didn’t try to kill you, they tried to… make you like them,” Raven said. I knew why the pause was there. She had been through virtually the same thing at one point.

“Okay, and on that high note, here’s your coffee Raven,” I said, slicing through the dark air that had consequently been created by the conversation. “Want me to sneak Spencer out of here?”

Raven chuckled through a sip of her coffee, making it spill all over her black dragon graphic T-shirt.
“Aw, dang! …You’d have to ask Spencer, duh.”

I looked at him, wearing what my mom had called my ‘persuasively cute’ smile.

“I’d have t-to ask my sister, Cadence,” he said.

“Well, do what you have to! If you want, I can take you to our one-bed, one couch, no TV luxury suite at the Cloud 9 Motel!”

Raven rolled her eyes and Spencer gave a weak chuckle as he turned and headed toward a back room.

I figured I could use the Harry Potter thing since this is set… oh look! Today! Yes, folks, this is set now!

LaReina, was that better? I think I’m slowly catching on!

Yeah, it was good.
- - -
Cadence quivered, her every muscle shutting down. She could feel those parts of her brain going numb as she cowered under the table. She heard echoed foosteps, fast and unsteady, coming into the dark room. She reached for the knife she had been carrying with her.

Her hand shook so violently that the knife slipped from her clammy grasp and clattered onto the floor with a sharp metallic ring. She covered her mouth with her hands to resist the urge to cry out. She was covered from head to foot in dirt, but she did not care about her silk pajamas. She cared about the approaching footsteps.

Finally, the figure-- only a shadow, at the time-- stopped before the table Cadence was kneeling beneath. Finally a head poked beneath. Cadence's heart was beating so fast she worried that this person might here. "Cadence." The voice was gentle, like velvet when you stroked it the right way. "I've met a few people. They're untouched by the 'shadow'-- as they call it-- and are willing to give us a place to stay."

Cadence looked up at Spencer's face. He stroked beneath her left eye with her thumb. There had been a speck of dirt. She closed her rather brightly coloured eyes and let her shoulders dropped. Spencer kicked the knife out of the way as he pulled Cadence up. She was too tall-- the same height as him, maybe a tad shorter-- to carry in a piggy-back, so Spencer helped her through the building.

"Have you gotten over it yet?" Spencer patted Cadence's back. She gave a nod. "Yes, but I sure hope you're right."

Spencer was equally as weary as Cadence was. But every gentleman always cares for the lady first, before caring about himself. Right now he needed to stay strong for Cadence. And no matter how pathetic it was, he felt like breaking down and crying like she had. After all, they'd just moved to America. And all this had happened. He wanted so bad to reverse in time, and go back to when his parents were deciding to move to America. They said that they'd wait for the kids while they rented a house. Then they'd be sent to their Aunt Irene's while their parents went to buy a new home.

Now they didn't have a home. Spencer stepped back into the light of the room. Cadence stopped. She took three deep breaths, closed her eyes and brushed off her shirt. It was 'show time.'

GARY~~

He sped through the empty road as fast has he could. He only stopped when he was nearly out of gas and went to a near by gas station to get some stuff. He picked up food, drinks and any other supplies needed for him to survive. He did not know where he was Gary but when Gary was bite by the shadows he saw something a face he thought. It was a girl with curly brown hair clutching a book and with harry potter glasses on. For some reason he knew he had to find her, no matter what happened. He only had on clue in the back of the picture he saw a sign sawing Magener studios. He new that place, he had a friend who interned there once. There was only one studio set they had near him and it was probably only 5 hours away from him.

Raven
---

I was exhausted. Kelly had asked to get off early, saying she had a ear infection or something, and taken Spencer and his sister, Cadence, to our motel room five hours ago. The danged actors took twice as long to get their hair just right and their makeup perfect or whatever, I was too tired to care enough and listen. My ripped jeans looked twice as black as they were because it was 1:00 AM and pitch black.

I pulled out my room key card and swiped the doorknob. Walking in I saw Cadence asleep on the bed, Kelly sitting on the couch, and Spencer leaning against the far wall. He looked up at me and grinned, saying
“Hey!”

Kelly hadn’t noticed me until then, saying
“Hi, Raven! Want some--”

“Don’t you EVEN say the word ‘chocolate’,” I said as I went over to the pitcher of water. “If you so much as mumble it I may just kill you.”

“Okay, okay,” she said, chuckling as I guzzled down my glass of water. “So Spencer and I have been talking--”

“Oh spare me,” I said turning to face them. “You have no idea how I feel right now.”

Kelly pretended to ignore me.
“Like I was saying, Spencer and I have been talking, and he thinks that his Aunt Irene can help us.”

“Oh yeah?” I asked, sitting down on the couch beside Kelly and putting my hand to my head. “Help us with what? There’s nothing that needs help.”

Kelly rubbed my neck. Despite her being a year younger she could be almost motherly at times. It was one of her many wonderful traits.
“The world needs help,” she said. Spencer was still leaning against the wall, watching us, waiting to see what we would say.

“Then send out the Bat-Signal, I don’t care about the world, and the world doesn’t care about me!” I was growing irritable, as was my nature when I was tired. Spencer walked toward us for the first time.

“Raven,” he said gently. His voice was like a lullaby. I looked at him with sleepy eyes. “No one cares about the world, about every living person on this planet. But everyone has at least one person that they care about more than anything. And when that person gets killed, or maimed, or taken by this shadow thing, it feels like a piece of your heart is being torn off. No one should have to feel that.”

I looked at him with hateful eyes. I don’t know where they came from; they were just there, maybe for my losses. His gaze was strong and true. And shy. Of all things, in this wonderful guy what I noticed was that he was shy, like me. I had been running away from everything my whole life. I had been running away from the world because it scared me. I didn’t want to feel that loss again, the loss of losing someone close to you, just like he had said. I felt my face melt into its usual tired and lazy posture.

“I know the feeling all to well,” I said with a sigh. “Revenge sounds nice. So how’s this Aunt Irene going to help us?”

Kelly and Spencer beamed and started to rattle off the details. I let my head nod naturally from exhaustion. Soon I fell asleep.

*I know, this is really too deep for even attempting to sound realistic, but that’s all I got. Today’s not my day with anything, including writing. If this doesn’t work at all with what you had in mind, LaReina, tell me. I can change it up a little. Or a lot. Whatever.*

Yeah, but how are they going to meet?
--------------------------------------------------
When we finally hitched a taxi, I got home. (okay changed it up a bit...obviously she doesn't live with her parents..so yeahh...her and emilie are roomates)
"Are you sure you're okay? What is wrong with that guy?!" I said madly.
"Dunno." she mumbled.
I looked at her.
"Get some sleep." I said walking away.
I sat down on the computer, and egan to type in some stuff.
That's when I saw the new headline for Yahoo news:
Mad Insane Man: Running Around In the Streets
I read the article on it, and found out that only a few days ago he was happy and normal.
Now he's off to killing people.
This was getting crazy. These shadows were getting out of control.
How were they going to be stopped?
And with that thought, I shut my drowsy eyes closed.

Kelly
---

I had just finished packing to leave tomorrow. In spite of the fact that it was raining the only thing left that I wanted to do was sit and get wet. It had been four days since we had met the twins in the warehouse. Raven, Cadence and Spencer were busy deciding what was going to happen and how. I didn’t care really. Grabbing one of the key cards I left and headed to the park across the street. The rain was pouring, and the wind wasn’t helping either. Yuck. Wind and rain are not a good mix. I loved either one, but together they weren’t so hot. Maybe one would lighten up. I pulled my jacket tighter as I began to run across the street.

It was weird how we just happened to meet the two. It was weird that we met them on a trip. It was weird that I just happened to be allowed on this trip. And it was weird how Raven accepted them. She always had been skeptical when it came to whom she trusted. Maybe fate was real. Maybe this wasn’t just one huge coincidence.

I found a bench under a huge, probably hundred year old oak. The rain was lighter under there. I closed my eyes and listened. The wind whistled against me ears, a few swings on the other side of the park squeaked as they moved. The splatter of rain hitting the pavement almost drowned out the sound of a huge groan a few yards behind me. My eyes shot open as I turned to look.

There, lying on the ground behind some other tree, was a girl. Just your average teenager, but she looked like she had fallen from the tree. I rushed over, asking
“Are you okay?”

“Yeah, sure,” she replied. “Who’re you?”

“Call me Kelly,” I said, half picking her up. Her face was covered in scratches, along with her arms and legs. “And you?”

“Maribelle,” she said, extending a hand. If Raven were here she could tell if I should trust her or not. I shook her hand, slapping a grin on my face. I wasn’t one to hand out my trust like breadcrumbs to pigeons.

“You should get something on those cuts,” I commented. The rain poured on our heads, but it was moving on and we could at least hear each other over the noise.

“Yeaahh…” Maribelle said as she looked herself over. That was all she said. I took the hint. After a pause, I said,

“I have a first aid kit at my motel,” I said, half turning to the single-story building. “Wanna come?”

“Sure. But I’d want to wait outside. You know,” she said as we started walking back.

“Yeah, you can’t trust just anyone these days,” I said, my smile for real now. This was an honest person. Those were few these days…

*Okay, StolenHearts, you’re in! I hope I got the personality right. This is getting interesting!*

Thanks so much Texan (:
switching to first person, its way easier : P
sorry so short ahaha

Maribelle

A girl had just offered me a first aid kit, but I didn't trust her so I waited outside. She definitely hadn't been taken by the shadow yet, but I was still wary. I examined my scratches and noticed I had a gash from my knee to the middle of my shin. Even if it didn't hurt the blood coming from it was making me woozy.

Oh dear. I thought as I began to black out, before I could stop myself I fell backward.

* oh by the way i made a typo i meant 5 days away from Gary not hours sorry*

Garry lazily slept in the car that nigh with the top up clutching a bottle of mace and a bat he found in the car. He still had a day to go till he found the girl he saw and everyday he felt he was no closer then the last. By now he knew that the cops might be after him because of the car theft, and he had even seen a the car licence plate number and type on a poster. So Gary had been getting almost no sleep to keep the cops off of him. But when he did sleep he only saw one of three things, either the shadows engulfing him as he dozed, him bending the earth around him or the girl. He had seen the girl more and more often, seeing her in different places even catching other people with her. He had even gotten her name, Kelly, She was reader a smart girl, he knew somehow. He also knew that what he saw in the dreams were close to him, the shadows were his fear, the earth his inner abilities his power and the girl his drive and ambition.
That night Gary saw the girl again, sitting a a bench in the rain, this time he saw her move for the first time to another girl. They had spoken but he could nit hear what it was about. Gary thought it was because the closer he got the stronger the link grew to her and the more he saw of her.

Gary slowly woke up, he heard a distant screech or siren in the back of his mind and when he woke up he saw flashes of red and blue. Gary quickly show up and jumped into start. He hit the gas as quick as he could racing down the road. The police siren blaring behind him as he went. He tried to lose the cop by going through the more occupied road, twisting into the narrow paths through cars. He made it about an hour before the cop caught him stuck behind a Jeep.

Gary reluctant;y went to the side of the road where he was pushed out of the car. The cop Was big, he was tall muscular and looked as if he had seen worse then just a few pickpockets and speeders. Gary was pushed against the cops car quickly but for some reason not hand cuffed but just held. Gary was
able to turn his head enough to see why. Approaching him from all ways was darkness, not just the one made from the stormy skies but a strange unnatural one. He quickly new he had to get away but he could not against the might of the officer.

Gary knew he had the power to escape it, he had seen it in his dreams and encountered it before. The earth, he felt in tune with it always. He knew he could do it but knowing and doing were two different things. Gary had tried many times during stops to raise the earth, but at most just got a slight headache. He looked down again and saw the shadows only a few messily inches away and gaining on him fast, they were not slowing down, they knew if they did he would get away again. Gary closed his eyes and began to calm down, he was no good when he was stressed. Then it happened, he heard a slow heart beat in his head. It seemed to be almost non-existence it was so slow and soft. Gary knew automatically it was the earth steady movement and vibration miles under him. Then Gary opened his eyes quickly and widely and he felt the earth rotate under him. The car he was on disappeared and the cop behind him fell away, getting engulfed in the pool of shadows.

Gary was now aware of the earth and his powers and he felt them strong in him. He jumped and under him the earth followed him into the air expanded int front of him. He ran forward while the shadows tried to catch him. Gary ran fro about twenty minutes before he felt himself unable to move foward, but then he felt something else and it was not the shadows. It was the earth moving him forward across the road side. Gary eventually left the shadows behind him by miles and was able to stop finally> Gary stopped at a motel about twenty three miles away from his dark encounter and feeling safe checked in to sleep.

That night Gary dreamt of a new thing a combo of all of his dreams before. He saw himself and the girl in a field the shadows around them engulfing her but barely even touching him. He say himself bring the earth up around him but when he could not bring the girl up he fell, bring her up in his place letting self fall to the shadows.

*So what is the plan between the twins and Raven and Kelly?*

Spencer stared into Cadence's face. It had been blank for days now. Since they'd run from their parents. She felt unsafe. But she was also worried. "Don't fear," i told her, "Mum and Dad probably left the neighbourhood. We're safe here."

"That's the problem!" Cadence wailed. "We don't know where they are! We need to find some way to get them back to normal. But where are they even?"

"Well, Aunt Irene may know..." Spencer trailed off when he saw the determined spark in Cadence's eyes. Uh-oh. "Well... that is if we could find Aunt Irene."

"We have an idea!" Cadence cried, clutching the collar of Spencer's shirt. "We know she lives in the Arizona desert, right? How many people, do you think, live in the middle of the Arizona desert? She's weird. Everyone'll know who she is!"

"If they've seen her before."

"We have to go though!" Cadence begged, her eyes twinkling with determination. "At least, if you won't go, let me go!"

"You can't go alone!" Spencer had never heard his voice so harsh. When he saw Cadence's broken expression, he knew what he needed to say. Her fingers unclasped themselves from his shirt, leaving it wrinkled in that once place. She hugged her knees tight to her chest again.

Women, Spencer thought to himself, shaking his head. "Fine. i'll ask Raven or Kelly. Maybe they'll be able to help us."

*knock knock*
I opened the door.
There was a man in his mid thirties standing in front of me, with a cops uniform on.
Call me crazy but I think he's a cop.
"Um, hi?" I said.
"Hello ma'am. Are you Mrs. Julie?" he asked.
"Yeah." I said, getting bored.
"We found your car." he said.
"Oh my gosh! Really?! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I said practically hugging the cop.
"Did you find the moron who took my car?" I asked.
"Um...no he escaped. Sorry." said the cop, in a dejected voice.
"Oh..that's ok. Thank you!" I said smiling.
--------------------------------------------------------
I slipped on my Uggs, and then ran outside.
My car!
I threw my arms around it and smiled.
That's when I saw a book.
I opened the car door.
It was wrinkly and looked misused.
I opened it up.
It said:

Gary's Dream Journal.

"That must be the guy who stole my car." I thought.
"I had to get back at him." I said angry now.
"I'm gonna find this guy." I thought determinly.
