*Note: I said in the "races" section at the top that the fairies in this are human size. The pixies are small and tiny. And Sael doesn't cower. She pretends to act tough. And ForeverThrenody, you forgot to do the profile for your character's alter-ego! Make sure to add that.*
- - -
Sael drew her longbow and was just placing a silver arrow into when Alarinna grabbed at her arm. "Wait a moment!" she whispered anxiously, her eyes never moving from the girl who stood before them.

She appeared to be an elf. Long ears, fair skin... but what stood out about her was her brightly coloured hair. It looked like flames. Alarinna looked around for the alter-ego. Where is it? She swore she had seen two shadows.

Was she going mad? Surely not. She'd spent so many years in her right state of mind. Why now of all times was she losing it.... Unless she was always like this. Sael cast a warning glance at Alarinna. "Don't even try it!" she hissed under her breath. "She isn't normal. Well, a normal elf that is!"

Alarinna pulled herself up from the crouched position she was in. Her shimmering transparent wing, the soft silver of moonlight reflecting off a looking glass was folded over from when Sael's harsh nails had gripped her arm.

She leaned over and whispered into Sael's ear. "Could you ask her what her name is?"

Sael snorted. "She wants to know your name." She jerked a thumb at Alarinna. She placed her bow at her feet and closed her garnet coloured eyes. Her head pounded. She was sick, that was for sure. Maybe she'd caught Witches Mumps.

Alarinna, however, ignored Sael and observed the girl's movements. Her facial expression was open and bright, her violet eyes glowing. With each movement she made it was animated. She was as bold as her hair, Alarinna could tell.

The girl opened her mouth to speak. But emerging from the forest's depths was a rage boar. The one that had followed them earlier.

I hope I got the description/ personality traits right....

Raesa

Raesa blinked back tears. Thalia. Why must it have been Thalia?! Thalia, who loved life with a passion. Thalia, who danced and sang through the fields. Thalia, whose smile made the sun shine and whose tears made the moon glow.

Fate was a cruel thing.

Raesa closed her eyes miserably as the cold evening wind whipped past her face. She'd been traveling for a day now. Blindly. She didn't know where she was going, only that Thalia would be avenged.

Thalia.

Lazona leaned forward on her broom, speeding up to fly beside Raesa.

"Again?" Lazona demanded. "Crying won't do you any good!"

Raesa managed to glare at Lazona. Lazona stared coolly back at her.

"Leave me alone," Raesa whispered, her voice lost in the wind.

"What?" shouted Lazona irritably. "Speak up!"

Raesa blinked back a fresh wave of tears, and dipped her broom under the cloud cover.

"Raesa!" yelled Lazona furiously after her. Raesa sniffed and glared at the ground below her. Lazona didn't know. She never met Thalia.

A loud roar came thundering from below. Raesa jerked her broom to a halt. She scanned the forest carefully. An animal didn't make sounds like that unless - There!

Lazona flew down to Raesa. "Let me tell you something, Ra - "

"Rage Boar!" shouted Raesa, spying the animal charging towards a small clearing in the trees. "She's being threatened!"

Raesa plunged herself into a vertical dive. Raesa jerked the broom upward just quickly enough to flop onto the ground safely. Throwing her broom aside, Raesa ran toward the sound of the Boar's roar.

She broke into the clearing just at the Boar emerged from the trees. Out of the corner of her eye, Raesa spotted a figure aiming a bow at the creature.

"Stop!" screamed Raesa, charging in front of the Boar. The Boar pawed the ground and broke into a charge.

"Watch out!" yelled the figures behind Raesa. Raesa spun around. She stared the Boar in the eye. The Boar hesitated. Raesa took the moment. She fell towards the ground, mewing. The Boar snorted, startled. Raesa slowly crawled toward the Boar, mewing all the way. The Boar backed up a step, then lowered her head to Raesa. Raesa, now within two feet of the massive animal, mewed plaintively. The Boar snorted and bent down farther to pick Raesa up. Raesa was yanked up by the collar of her dress. The figures below Raesa yelled in horror.

Raesa calmly twisted in the Boar's grasp and kicked the Boar's snout. Hard. The Boar dropped her, and proceeded to lick Raesa delicately. Raesa began mewing again.

Before long, the Boar snuffled her way back into the cover of the trees. Raesa picked herself up, and wiped as much of the Rage Boar spit as she could off her dress.

"Never," said Raesa sternly. "Never invade a mothering Rage Boar's territory. You'll only cause trouble."

Shaiel

He looked around himself, horrified. The blackened, icy corpses of several of Daemon's soldiers lay in a circle about him. Their faces were contorted, twisted into silent screams by the freezing shadow that remained over them. Their knuckles were white, clutching the grips of the weapons they'd raised into ineffectual guarding positions before they'd died.

It was you. The voice of Rason was as icy as the darkness he wielded.

"No." Shaiel said, stumbling away from the corpses, "No, it wasn't. You did this!" His shadow moved, seeming to laugh. Unlike most, Shaiel's alter-ego wasn't separate to him, and he only had one shadow. When he was Shaiel, that shadow was Rason. It switched when they did.

We're the same person, Shaiel. If I did this, then you did this. You just stepped aside so I could.

As if trying to run away from his own shadow, Shaiel turned and bolted away from the scene, racing down a track, away from the death and destruction at August Hill and into the forest. Rason's laughs followed him the whole way.

None survived, Shaiel. We caused this as much as Daemon. Shaiel screamed as an image filled his mind, Rason standing in the burning ruins of a cottage, the body of an old man at his feet and a guard held up in one hand. As the image burned out, Shaiel tripped, falling flat on his face in the middle of the path.

"They call it Plagued Coast, can you believe that?" Aeriz snorted. Desanda shook her head, long hair heavy with water. "This place isn't plagued! It's just dirtied by the ground-walkers. They don't know how to take care of the ocean."

"But they don't know that," Desanda said.

"What are we going to do about August Hill?"

"What can we do? We have no way of getting there unless we walk the rest of the way, and we don't have any supplies. There's no way we'll survive that long. The Rage Boars and Nite Mares are going to get us before we reach the Hill."

"Don't be so pessimistic. We can make it. I'm sure there are lots of people who want to avenge their loved ones."

"Not us."

"But we have the ocean. Red, bloody red. Wine, rubies, everything's red and I can't take it anymore!" Desanda sighed, crystalline wings fluttering in the air. She glanced at the setting sun, thinking. Aeriz fell silent, and the two sat in the breeze.

"Well then, shall we go?" Desanda asked, getting up. "We'll need to carry some water with us, you realize."

"You mean you're going? You're really going?"

"When you put the sea at stake..."

"Alright! Let's go. I think you can make wolves. They can help us fight, and we can use them for water. This is going to be fun!" Aeriz jumped up eagerly, swaying on his feet. Desanda shook her head, a small smile on her face.

"It won't be," she said. "But we'll do it. Together, right?" Aeriz smiled at her.

"Yeah." The two glanced at each other, before staring at the sea of liquid fire. "Together."

Zander

I walked or in other words levitated to where the commotion was coming from. I sat on a tree and watched what was happening once i could see the commotion.

There was a Mother Rage boar charging at Two faeries and from the look of it a Elf hybrid. I smiled, i could get to see some new ingredients if they were killed and also i could get to watch some action. How nice of the Rage boar to stage something like this now, as i was passing by.

Then suddenly a witch, two witch to be precise crashed the event, one of them started to act like an animal herself and managed to chase away the Rage boar. I jumped onto the ground.

"Well well, what do we have here?" I asked them.

Zire

I ran through the forest trying to find Zander, as usual he had run off on his own adventurous journey. I suddenly heard the sound of a Rage boar charging and rushed to where it came from.

As i came to a clearing, a root of a nearby tree seemed to catch my foot and i tripped and fell down, rolling until i knocked onto someone.

I brushed my self and stood up to see that i had knocked onto a witch.

"I'm so sorry" I said apologizing.

No one answered me but kept on staring at me and then at something or someone behind me.

I turned around and was face to face with Zander who looked like he could kill me there and then.

"What happened to you this time?" He asked frowning at me.

"It was that roots fault!" I whined pointing at the root that i had tripped on "It tripped me"

Zander rolled his eyes "Forgive me, let me introduce ourselves" he said addressing the crowd standing or sitting behind me.

"My name is Zander, and this idiot is Zire" He said.

"Nice to meet you" I said turning around and smiling.

*Okay??*

Raesa

Raesa smiled. "It is a pleasure," she replied.

Lazona walked up to Raesa, holding their brooms.

"You almost destroyed yours," she snapped. Raesa bit her lip.

"Will it still fly?" she asked, taking it from Lazona and inspecting it.

"Possibly," said Lazona, bored.

Raesa ran her finger over the nicked surface of the broom. "This will make traveling even more uncomfortable..." she muttered. Lazona snorted.

"And when your broom can't fly a straight line to save its life, you'll be even sorrier."

Raesa sighed. "It'll have to do... We can't stop now."

"You brought this upon yourself," said Lazona coldly."Did you have you scare off the Boar?"

Raesa felt a flicker of irritation. "One: I did not 'scare' anything away. I acted like one of the Boar's young to let her know we were not a threat. Two: If I hadn't," Raesa pointed her thumb over her shoulder. "those people would have injured the poor thing."

Lazona rolled her eyes. Raesa glanced back at the two wizards standing in front of her.

"Er - sorry. I haven't introduced myself, have I? I'm Raesa, and this charming witch would be Lazona."

*Reacting to Billy*

Ringo and Ballow

The smell of death floated heavily on the air and Ringo inhaled it with a smile. He looked to Ballow who was scowling and then glanced around. Dead bodies littered th floor, all Daemon soldiers, Ringo let out a disappointed sigh. Someone had gotten to them first.

Ballow noticed the body that was still alive on the floor before Ringo did and he bent down to check a pulse. What he didn't expect was for the hand that was lying so lax at the body's side to come to life and grab at his hand.

Ringo drew his sword in quick action as the person on the floor rolled away from Ballow. Ballow glanced at Ringo who had wicked glean in his eyes and Ballow knew instantly what he was thinking. A few foreign words spoken to a dizzying tune escaped Ringo's mouth and Ballow let out a growl.

In a dry voice Ballow sung in combat, trying to make Ringo's voice void. Ringo seemed to be having a ball as the smile on his face lit up the more he forced Ballow into singing harder. The man's heart which was confused formt he people he had just killed was being swayed.

Whenever Ringo's song grew stronger he was compelled to Ringo, but as Ballow's song took the chorus it was as if a force were pushing him away. Sweat beads formed on Ringo's flawless forehead, but his smile remained.

Taking a breath Ballow muttered over to Ringo, "Stop it. I won't let you kill someone who's not our enemy."

Ringo paused to talk as well, "It be not out enemy, but it do so be in our way. What else shall I do but to rid ourselves of this utter diversion."

Ringo decided to stop the conversation adn blasted a jet spray of water at him, Ballow followed suit but instead let out a flmae of fire and the water evaporated nto steam. The moisture hung in the air creating a hard to breath in atmosphere. Ringo being use to cold temperatures was more affected than his opposite and took a weary step back. The smile still stuck on his face.

Ballow scowled at him and then turned towards the survivor, "You okay?"

The man replied, "As well, as I could be given the circu, stances."

He was greeted by a grunt from Ballow only to see Ballow's back as he was already walking away. Ringo was smiling as he spat near the man, "Be full of happiness my counter-part has such a love of life. Soon it wilst not be the same."

Then Ringo followed his counter-part with a bounce n his step and bob in his shiny hair. Staring at their backs the man culd not help, but compare the two. Whereas one seemed entirely flawless the other was marred beyond belief. But one should never judge by looks, as he had just witnessed. The way Ringo acted was contrary to the way he looked and the way Ballow acted was even more confusing.

Staggering after them in a confused state he wondered if it would be dangerous to travel with them.

*lol, my people just had a full out battle with themselves. ^^ Hope I portrayed you character okay Billy.*

*This is working out quite nicely, everyone. Its not too confusing... yet. I have made a discussion forum so that we can organize everything instead of talking in here. Let's make this posts only.*

Sael
- - -
Alarinna stumbled backward, until her back was resting against the fairy fruit tree. Her wing was in searing pain. It had been folded over, and the veins inside it were pulsing, hurting her even more. Sael, however, stayed and stood her ground.

Her dingy gray skin looked almost bark brown in the moonlight, and she had a few extra twigs and burrs tangled in her black hair. Her dragon-like wings lifted into the air, and she pulled herself off the ground. She hovered there for a few moments before shooting up in a blur, and spinning around the clearing. She often did this to get a handle of what people looked like, without staring at them.

Finally, her bare feet touched down on the coarse grass again. "We're going to be late." She whispered into Alarinna's ear. Alarinna nodded her head down. Yes, if they didn't hurry, they'd miss their classes at Urchin Academy.

Sael looked curiously around. "Do any of you go to UA?"

Alarinna added in, "Urchin Academy," in a mumbled voice, barely audible.

But before anyone could answer, Sael and Alarinna shot up into the air, and hovered their a few moments. Alarinna's wing was in so much pain she thought that she may have to stop flight. But she knew a thing or two about Sael, so she bit back her emotions. "By the way, my name is Sael, and this is Alarinna."

Alarinna nodded her head down once and tossed her silver-blonde braid over her shoulder. The night was cool. She knew that if they skimmed across the Plagued Coast, dipping their toes barely in the water, they could freeze it. Alarinna loved ice.

Before any could say more, Alarinna and Sael burst up high into the sky, a blurr of light and dark, and darted North, towards Urchin Academy.

Desanda and Aeriz-

"No! That doesn't go there! You don't mix those two together. Remember what Sister said about it?" Desanda's eyes were wide open, a frantic look on her face. She lunged at Aeriz to stop him from mixing the two elixirs together.

"No... I don't think so," he said, innocence seeping through his words. Sighing in frustration, Desanda smacked her forehead. "Hey! You know I'm not good with this sort of stuff. Why do you think she asked you to do this potion making?"

"You do have a point," she admitted begrudgingly. "So, are we ready?" Desanda waved a hand over the water and it swirled up, strands of liquid twisting around each other. They formed intricate shapes, slowly melding together. Finally, three small bears stood there, growling at each other. Aeriz frowned.

"Do you have to use the bears?"

"They are the ones who can help the most in combat. Anyway, hurry up. Get your polearm or whatever weapon you decide to use. I want to at least get some distance from the ocean before nightfall. Sister will be furious! Besides, we need a camp so we can ward off the Nite Mares. Stupid evil horses."

"Yeah, I know." Aeriz held out his hand, water forming into a spear. "I'm ready. Let's go."

Raesa

Raesa stared after the flying figures.

"That was - er -" she began, stuttering.

"Rude," said Lazona shortly. Raesa glanced back at her.

"... A bit..." Raesa looked around.

"Anyone here know who, or what if you rather, they were?"

"Aww do we have to?" I whined.

Zander gave me one look that silenced me for good.

Sheesh, does he have to be so neat and 'never missing a class' ish

I followed him though, up a tree where i stepped into on of his levitation surfaces.

*we are at Urchin Academy, okay people?* (I'm referring to Alarinna and Sael.)
- - -

Alarinna touched down gracefully, her toes wrinkling when her feet pressed into the few-covered grass. Around her, only about five students or so wandered; some were reading books, one was swinging lonesomely in the tree's swing, another was quarreling with a teacher about unfair marks. However, all seemed peaceful. Eerily peaceful.

Ever since the massacre at August Hill, things had been much too quiet at the academy. Classes that were once filled with fifty people now only had about ten, and the lunch room served large portions because there was no one to cook for. The teachers were under major strees loads because some had been killed, or others quit to get away from the evil land.

Sael elbowed Alarinna. "Earth to Alara," Sael had nicknamed Alarinna that. She'd been calling her Alara since they were kids. The two girls gracefully fell into step as they walked down the mossy and overgrown path towards the school.

The place was quaint. It looked like an old victorian home, with grimey red bricks, and green vines and ivy crawling up the walls and coiling its fingers around the roof and windows. The flowerbeds were wilted and filled with crinkled dead plants. It was like home to the two fairies.
- - -

So I hope someone can work with this.
