The Chandra Reborn

You are a Warrior in Training at the Country of Altaire training base named the Chandra. This place trains you to be an elite fighter against the Altaire Ruler, Empress Neala. She is pure evil and a terrible leader but is so powerful. She is bent on literally ruling the world. To aid her she has huge armies of horrible creatures. Her laws are harsh. Anyone breaks them and they die. She has spies everywhere to alert her of possible contradictors. The Chandra leader Hunter allows everyone of any race to join. Including elves, goblins, witches, sorcerers, humans, ghosts...etc. However, each trainee is chosen specifically for a Gift that they are born with. It could be any power you have ever dreamed of. Only one power though. You live on base which is located in a very hidden forest disguised by a swamp. There you are taught by Older warriors how to Swordfight, how to Master your gift, and any other things you think necessary. To the Base you have brought one ally with you. Preferrably animal or mythical creature. (ie. unicorn, dragon, phoenix,lion...etc.) to aid you. This organization is Altaire's last chance to prevent world domination by the terrible Empress. You are all bonded by the one belief that the Empress is a horrible ruler and that her downfall is necessary.
All the trainees age from 13-18. You can be a trainer or a trainee. I am going as far as saying you could be an animal/mythical creature ally also. Just describe your partner too.

No god modding
No killing off other characters
No sex scenes
No perfect characters.

Appearence: Short wavy red hair. Brown eyes. Small slight build. Doesn't wear loose cothing. But wears red a lot. Looks very faded to the point of translucent.
History: After his parents and brother were killed for opposing the Empress, Hunter decided his life and death goal was vengeance.
Ability: To control fire. Can breath it out like a dragon or can stream it out through his hands.
Disability: Overly sensitive to cold. (You have to have one of these. Your character can't be perfect.) Passes
through solid objects. Cannot do physical harm to anything. He floats.
Ally: Phoenix named Fyre. Also dead but kept in life for the good of his work.
Personality: very subtle. The Chandra was his life, is his afterlife. Would die again for it and any of the trainers or trainees. Very Quiet also. But when he has something to say, people listen.
Other Skills: Is pretty good with medicine suprisingly.
Other: Isn't really open to love. (duh.)

History: He does not talk about it
Ability: He can control the elements but only one at a time and when he choses he can not use another for another 3 hours.
Disability: He goes under much stress in battle and can be confused

Personality: He is very funny and calm though chose the wrong moments a lot to make his jokes and constantly puts his foot in his mouth

History: He was found in the ocean was raised by a group a krakens and was raised by them. He has ne recollection of who he was or where he came form, and he loves hte ocean.

Ability: To control water. Can breath it in like a kraken or can stream it out through his hands.

Disability: Overly sensitive to wamrth, (prefers cold waters)

Ally: Kraken, called Steve.

Gift: Something like the force. He can pick up objects and us "force" push. His power is limited to the fact the harder the task the more concentration it requires.

History: Orin was a blacksmith's apprentice. His father died when he was young so his teacher was like a father to him. When Orin was 13 imperial troops came and destroyed his entire town and killed everyone he ever loved. He decided to make his life goal to bring down the empire. He was found by Hunter when he was 14 and taught him to use his powers. he's been loyal to him ever since.

Ability: He can pick up objects and us "force" push. His power is limited to the fact the harder the task the more concentration it requires.

Disability: Tougher actions require more concentration and can cause strain on his body wearing him out quick.

Ally: A hawk named Horus.

Personality: A serious man and slightly depressed. He is haunted by the sights of death and can't let it go. Experiencing such things at a young age have left him scarred. He can't accept people who are arrogant and overconfident.

Other Skills: Martial arts. He is trained in sword play and carried a short sword, but prefers hand to hand. He has learned to integrate his power to deliver stronger blows at times.

Other: His gloves have a steel plate on the top of them that helps him block weapons unarmed, but it never works 100% always causing his hand to bleed or breaking it. Also causes a harder hit when he backhands someone.

History: Adelle thought she was a full wolf until the age of two (fourteen), then an older demon took her from an abusive pack that only picked at her and adopted her into his demon family, giving her Kuta almost immediately. She soon found out that she could transform like her adopted family, which was an array of different demons. Unlike her real family, that works for the evil witch, she wishes to be good like her adopted family. When she was five her real family attacked her and tried to carve her eyes out, only to succeed in blinding her in her right eye. Despite her disability, she still became an amazing hunter and archer. When she was nine she began to train with her father, finally going to an actual training camp when she came of age so she could train others in the art of archery

Ability: Summoning other demons due to her demon blood and controling nature/earth

Disability: Terrified of thunder storms, or anything retaining to thunder. Like a real dog. Also, when she''s in battle and in her human-wolf form she gets carried away with killing easily, sometimes killing her own

Personality: Adelle is actually bubbly, hyper, and random compared to the regular demon, but she only shows that part of her when around friends and family. When she's training, concentrating, or in a hectic situation she's calm, collected, and serious.

Other Skills: Great archer, amazing skills in the wild, can skin for clothing and leather, and knows how to use longswords and kill silently and swiftly while taking on the aspect of a cat.

Other: Up for love and she's always hanging out with her adopted brothers Crete and Saratos and her wolf, Kuta

Race: Half elf, half bird-demon

Gift: air manipulation

Status: Trainee

Appearance:
She has dirty blond hair that goes to her waist and eyes blue eyes so light that they appear white. She is very tall and lanky, proof that she is part bird-deamon. She has a pair of wings that only appear when she wishes them two, though it is very painful when they come.

Personality:
She's sort of skittish due to the bird-blood in her, but generally is a sociable person. It takes her a while to actually trust people but she enjoys getting to know people and learning to trust them if the right person comes along. Her emotions change like the wind, but she's normally very cheerful. She's very sarcastic, too, and diplomacy isn't her best subject. She'll speak her mind no matter what even though it tends to make some people mad.

History:
She grew up with her elfish mother, learning the ways of the woods and of the bow when the Empress attacked their village when she was 8. Her mother was killed and she learned of her demon hearitage when her father came to her in his human form. He taught her what her demon side could do (wings and speaking to birds). She's been wandering the wilderness and has recently found Chandra.

Ability:
She can fly and manipulate the air in most circumstances. She's also decent at archery, she's not the best, but she's an elf so...yeah

Disability:
Air doesn't particularily harm anyone and is useless in most circumstances. She also isn't very diplomatic and can get into some pretty harrowing places with the use of her mouth. When she calls her wings, she is in great pain and is entirly helpless. She also will NEVER eat a bird. EVER.

Ally: A giant eagle named Karo

Race:Immortal

Appearance: He has long Black hair that's tied up and wears a white t shirt and white jeans he has a sword but he never has it on him.

Gift: basically unkillable and heals from all injuries

personality: basically a strict teacher, but really he's proud of his students, sociable with other trainers

History:Was one of the empereses personal guard but he saw how cruel she was a joined the Chandra

Disability:Is affected by peoples ability and cannot keep his temper in check

history- The younger brother of empress Neala. She secretly performed black magic experiments on him, enhancing his abilities far beyond the normal scope. She had intended to use him as her general, but with the help of his dragon he escaped. However the experiments changed Kylar in ways not even he understands. Occasionally he will go berserk attacking both friend and foe in wild blood lust, he clings both to his sanity and humanity, which Neala attempted to strip from him. Eventually he made his way to Chandra hoping to use his abilities to fight his sister, and gain control over himself. His sister considers him her masterpiece and is determined to recapture him at any cost.

personality- The best way to describe Kylar is intense. Arrogant, graceful, and passionate, he has a temper, but years of experience have taught him to think with his head. Kylar treats everyone he meets with some degree of mistrust. He lives by his own code and has survived alone for much of his life. The rest of his personality will be revealed with time.

ability- The ability to manipulate light and shadow magic in all it's forms. He send bolts of energy create blades of shadow, and dissolve his body into pure light or darkness. The rest of Kylar's abilities are as yet unknown even to himself. Not even his sister knows the true extent of his powers.

disability- Prone to dark rages, he wears a bracelet that shocks him into fainting if he uses to much power, his sister used it to control him and Shade was never able to remove it after his escape.

History: Raised among her people, Tyra ventured into the outer world once she hit 16, a controversial move as her race don't consider you 'adult' until you hit 25. She decided to join the Chandra for adventure and the fighting she loves.

Gift: Shadow magic (able to hide in shadows, becoming near invisable, see in darkness, move silently, dodge effectively and summon shades, a type of ghost-like malevolent creature, and has heightened agility and acrobatics in shadowed areas) Similar to Kylar's power, though specializing only in shadows and death.

Disability: Her gift does not work where there are no or little shadows. Her sight is somewhat impaired by bright light.

Ally: Sin the nightraptor. A kind of anti-pheonix, instead of fire, his feathers are coated in acid, and rather then dealing with rebirth and life, deals only in death. Large, sharp talons and cruel beak, blue-black with a green sheen. Is intelligent and speaks to others through telepathy, as his beak can't formulate words.

Personality: Cold and dark, Tyra has no qualms about taking a life. Weakness is death within her race, so she finds anything she considers 'weak' pathetic and useless. This includes compassion and peacemakers. Ruthless, but with a dark humour. Her own master, she often gets in trouble with higher ranks for disobedience and disrespect.

Other skills: Talented assassin and thief.

Other: She is trained in the use of her daggers, which constantly drip acid and require their own special sheath as they would burn through ordinary leather. She also has a variety of throwing daggers on her person.

No. But from previous experience with storybooks, I think that it helps if there is more people... but if you want to start than go ahead, or tell me if you would prefer it if I started.
