Alex emerged from the the planes air conditions aisles to the airports hot and crowded corridors. He walked out and made his way to luggage retrieval. he grabbed his only piece of luggage a a second back back and then waited for his skate board to come out next. When it arrived he hasty tore off the tape and then clipped his carry on bad to his other bag and slipped them on. He walked out of the airport doors then slipped his skate board down to the ground hoping on it and began to roll. he waited till he gained some speed then shouted at the top of his lungs "HELLO LONDON" In the most the worst English accent. He made his way to the small hotel he had booked a room in and then entered it. he went to his room then simply dumped his back pack full of clothes and left to see the sites. The as he exited his room was stopped by a man in an old British war uniform and hair that looked like a powdered wig.
"hello Alex Evans right" the man said in a hardened tone
"yes, and if you will excuse me i am off to see the sites"said Alex trying to get around the man.
"I'm sorry i can't let you go just yet, you see i have a proposal for you" the man said
"Well then i am all ears" said Alex and he retreated back into the room and sunk his body into a chair "please sit"

The social worker, Evangelica, made me sit. It was about one of my siblings. Apparently someone was claiming to be our long lost uncle? I sunk down into a chair that was hard yet was padded. What was the point? "You called?" I asked as she readjusted her glasses. She seemed quite fidgety. And nervous. "Okay. Forget about Susan and the rest of your sisters and brothers. Now I have a very interesting proposal for you. It would change your life."

Ballow

Ballow rested leisurely on his private yacht, waiting for it to dock at his private docking bay. Once it arrived he stood and exited without a word to his waiters or workers.

Standing on the sand he pick some up and let it drain through his fingers, of anyone was listening they would've heard him mutter, "So much like myself. Slipping away."

Then he let himself fall into the sand and closed his eyes, resting once again in the sun. Something walked in front of him, which he new because the light suddenly disappeared. He flickered his eyes open and standing before him was a meek looking woman.

Ballow frowned, then smiled, "Why are you here?"

"Your father sent me an invitation to his private island." she replied quietly, fidgeting with her hands.

"Ballow sat up and motioned for her to sit, she did and then she began to talk, "You see, I belong to this government funded agency and-"

She was cut off by Ballow, as he growled out, "You mean my father was funding you?"

She nodded, she had a shifty gaze, but Ballow accounted it to nervousness rather than suspicion, "Well, you can put it like that if you want . . "

His eyes went dark for a second, but then he continued to smile, "So, you are here for?"

She smiled meekly than said, "I want to know if you want to escape?"

"Escape?" the only thing which betrayed his stoic reply was the glint of hope sparkling in his eyes, "What escape?"

"Well, there is this experiment we want you in, far away and you could come with us. Your father also suggested it." she added the father part just to win him over.

"Oh, he did, did he? Well, then I'll be happy to go with you, wherever it may lead me." there was a happy smile on his face as he stopped looking at her and stared into the sunset.

Then an expression of a polar bear in the desert crossed his face, Evangeline nearly pitied him. He was lost in life and imprisoned in this hollow living.

He whispered as the sun disappeared, "Even the sand escapes into the ocean."

I'm going to write mostly in modern English to make this easier to read.

Evangelina

She didn't understand the list of names and places she'd been given but it wasn't her place to understand, nor her gift. God had granted her with skills in other areas and at least it meant she didn't go hungry on the flight over. She'd never tasted such awful food as they served there or been so frightened and she'd heard the attendant saying something about it being unusual that she should be allowed to use the plane. It was a ghastly thing.

The island wasn't particularly impressive to someone who could make food appear just by thinking of it - and she'd often been hungry as a child, what a useful gift it would have been then! - but she found herself very nervous as she talked to the young man.

The conversation went well and Evangelina explained that there was to be a meeting with further information.

"A meeting?" Ballow asked.

"Yes," she said. "At this address and time. Come if the proposal pleases you sir. Thank you for your time." She dipped a curtsy, unconsciously smoothing the fine skirt of her dress and left, leaving Ballow holding a small piece of paper with the address of a small building in England. Walter had hired it out.

The flight back was not quite so awful but Evangelina found herself wishing she was back at the military base. The world had changed a lot while she slept.

And that one visit filled the entire day but Evangelina wasn't overly worried and felt much better after an evening of reading the records and a good night's sleep.

A woman by the name of Cydney was next. She seemed very agreeable and was quick to say yes to the proposal. Did she not have a husband to ask? Poor dear. But then, Walt had mentioned something about 'modern women' but whatever he meant by that comment she didn't dare to wonder.

"Sure, why not?" she said. The phrasing was strange. Evangelina wondered if she was expected to list the reasons not to do it but decided that the woman couldn't possibly mean that. Evangelina decided to play it safe.

"There is to be a meeting for those interested. It would please us greatly if you could come to this address at this time." Evangelina passed her the card and curtsied carefully, an image of her previous mistress flitting through her mind.

"I'll be there," Cydney promised, examining the card. Evangelina smiled meekly, curtsied once more and hurried on. Her time was short, the meeting was just the next day and she had to get around everyone on her list in that time.

Finding Felicity didn't take long.

"I have a very interesting proposal for you," Evangelina said. "It would change your life. At this time, I'm afraid I can't say much more than that. Mister Burke would like to do the honours but please, he has arranged a time for everyone to meet." She pulled one of the cards out of her pocket and passed it over, the curtsy coming automatically.

"If it please you miss, I may see you there. Goodbye." She curtsied once more and left swiftly, looking up at the darkening sky.

Walter

At the other side of town, Walter was having a greater amount of trouble conversing with the modern people.

"What's on your mind?" John asked.

"Pardon me, on my mind you say? What a curious phrase." The two boys gawped at him.

"He means what's the question," Zire explained. Walter frowned.

"Then why did he not say that, don't mock me young ones. I am Officer Walter Burke and a man to be marked. My proposal is that you will take part in an experiment and be paid well for your troubles."

"That sounded more like an order," John said, raising an eyebrow.

"It was not intended as such," Walt stated. "I will leave these with you. If you are men of valor, you will attend." He placed two cards on the bench and left abruptly.

Talking to Alex went marginally better. The offer to sit was accepted and appreciated and Walter waited to be offered tea but there was no indication of that happening. Irritated, he put it down to modern manors which were proving to be horrendous so far.

"I am Officer Walter Burke, a member of Ire and here to change your life. Ire are looking for volunteers for an experiment we are conducting and I am offering you a place. There is a meeting you will attend." Walter pushed the card toward the man and then stood abruptly, very disgruntled by the lack of tea. "I will leave you now."

John watched as the man left. Once he was out of site he started laughing, "Oh my god, what was up with that guy?" He turned to Zire, though he made no indication of caring. Sighing, John picked up the card a read out loud. Turning to Zire once more he asked, "What are you going to do?"

Alex watched as the man left, he seemed angry at him for some reason maybe it was because he did offer him a drink. Well he would have but he never ordered anything at the places he stayed they were always over priced and tasted off. Alex looked at the card then stuck it in pocket. He would go he was sure of that but first he would go see the sites.

"Hey anythings worth a try" I muttered then added Why not?"

"Hey inst this place a old rundown factory?" John asked pointing to the small address on the edge of the card.

"Most probably, the card gives us the location of a meting point where we will be escorted to where ever the hell they're taking us" I guessed.

"So should we go now?" asked John.

I shrugged and then nodded "I'm guessing we just check the place out first."

**I hope that's okay**

That's fine =) People can feel free to head on down to the old factory and meet each other. Your host (Walter) isn't going to have arrived yet but chairs have been set up in the room all facing a podium and whoever enters first will see Cynthia.

Cynthia

Slowly Cindy opened her eyes and eased her body up. She felt a little stiff and her hands were cold but a quick wriggle of her fingers found that no real harm had been done. She looked around the room cautiously. Two of the beds were vacated but all else was as it had been. How many weeks have passed? Cindy wondered as she tried to recall who was absent from the room. The general was easily missed, big and imposing man he was but she couldn't for the life of her remember the other.

There was movement elsewhere, she could hear it. Cindy wondered nervously what to do. I'll be brave, she thought, imagining how the general would have dealt with the situation. And then she was more than brave, she was the general. The realisation was slow in coming as Cindy felt all her thoughts bundled into a corner of her brain. She strode out of the room as the general had some time previously and walked straight into the man she was pretending to be.

Surprise didn't suit Walter's face very well and for just a moment, Cindy was doing a much better job at being Walter than he himself. And then that little part that was her shrank from the idea of impersonating a general and she was Cindy again, meek and apologetic.

"I beg your forgiveness, sir," she said.

"Ah, the actress," Walter mused. "What an uncanny ability. Come, I have a task for you."

The information he delivered to her near stopped Cindy's heart. Another century? My poor, dear husband dead? It was almost too much for her but fortunately the general's plan allowed her to hide away, safe in a corner of her head as she became a modern day woman. Cindy wasn't sure she liked the role. Looking in the mirror, she was dressed funny and her hair was down. That was most... improper. But the modern woman didn't think so, she liked it. So Cindy decided she must like it too.

Walking to the factory didn't take long. A tiny portion of Cindy thought she should have an escort but the rest said that was a very silly thought indeed. Upon arrival, Cindy happily sat down and waited for others to arrive.

After an hour of site seeing Alex had gotten bored and decided to go to the old factory on the card. It took him an hour to get there on his board and when he did he only saw one person. He walked by her not speaking and sat down laying on several chairs. He was tired and did not want to speak at the moment so he just drifted off into a dream world.

**Awwww come one, please reconsider you choice Threnody!***

Although we were planning to sneak in and have a look around something we didn't expect awaited us inside the factory.

A casually dressed woman was seated on a chair awaiting someone in the middle of a rundown factory as if nothing was strange in it.

At first we were going to make a run for it but then we realized that the only reason someone would do something insane like that would be because that someone was waiting for us, or someone else.

"Excuse me" I asked walking towards her.

"Ahh, about time you arrived" she replied without even turning around.

John gave me a 'are you mad, you don't even know who she is' look.

"Umm..... were you.." I was about to ask.

"Leave the questions for later, sit down your host will be here soon" I asked making my way to one of the seat while pulling John with me.

It was then that i saw yet another person sitting on one of the chairs, and he was asleep suggesting that he'd been her for a while. We sat down and waited for our 'host' to arrive.

Mikael

Grabbing some clothes i quickly shoved them into my back pack, hopped on my motorcycle and sped. Half a minute later the police raided my house to find a laptop wiped clean with a simple message "Leave me alone."

As i drove into town i parked up and headed for my city apartment, under a false name of course, and was about to grab some sleep when the phone rang.
I sprag up and grabbed the phone from the reciever. "Look i didn't see anything ok! Check your computers you'll see i didn't even open the complete file. Please just let me go i'll p.."
"This is not the police" a womans voice replied "now please calm down and listen. Ire have a proposition for you."
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.
