Jessalyn


Jess watched as Luke sat down on the ground, still in shock from the punch Shane just threw. She didn't know what to do, she felt sorry for Luke, wanted to kill the girl, but also wanted her to live for Luke. She sighed and walked over to Luke.
"I don't think she's a slut."Jess lied, crouching down beside Luke. He looked at her a confused look on his face."Okay, I do think that, but you like her so," Jess said.
"So what? Jess he's gonna kill her if she doesn't tell him where the other kids are."Luke interrupted.
"We can set her free,"Jess whispered, waiting for Luke to stop her. When he didn't she went on,"If we free her she can find the kids, then she'll be on Shane's good side. Like a double agent, kinda." Jess stood and pulled Luke up by his arm.
"So?" She asked as she looked back toward Kat's cell.

Kat


She sat up on her rickety bed, eyes wide. Somebody was shouting. She could hear Luke's voice and a woman's voice, speaking softly. Kat strained to hear what they were saying, but that was near impossible.

Suddenly, the door to her cell was opened and Luke and a girl walked in.

"What is it?" Kat asked.

***Cue to Cat***

Luke - Hunter

"Okay girl," Jessalyn started.

"Her name is Kat," Luke said, still kind of unsure about this whole idea.

"Well Kat, we know Shane is pretty mad at you. How are we going to get him un-mad at you? Guess....." Jessayln left off, waiting for Kat to answer.

"You have to make him un-mad by doing something that will make him really happy. And with that, you'll be fine."

"But how will I make him happy?" Kat asked, crossing her arms.

Kat

She looked at them funny. What did they want from her?

"Kat, we want you to go and find your friends for Shane. If you don't he will kill you," said Luke. Kat just stared at him.

"No! I can't betray my friends."

The girl flashed her dagger eyes.

Luke - Hunter

"Jess, give me a minute," Luke told her as the Kat stared at them. Jess said nothing and walked out the door.

"Listen Kat, I don't want you as much dead as you probably do. Maybe more." Luke bent down in front of her. "We are giving you a chance to save your life. Please."

Kat


She looked into his eyes. They were pleading with her. Is he asking that she give up her friends lives to save her sorry butt? Somewhere deep inside of her emotions welled, and half of her felt like punching this jerk in the face, and half of her felt like crying again.

Exhausted, Kat nodded. "Okay. I will go get my friends and tell you where they are."

Luke - Hunter

He smiled gently at her and stood up.

"Then lets go get Shane."

***cue dramatic music and Shane whose picture still creeps me out***

** Ha ha.. That's what it was supposed to do. Mwhawhahaa **

Shane

There was a knock on his door and Luke waltzed in with a big goofy grin on his face. Shane stared at his younger brother, not recognizing the little boy he had bullied when they were younger. "What is it?" he asked. He was busy trying to find out where the brats had gone. He had been scanning maps of the area and the best place was somewhere near a large lake, in the westward area.

"Shane, I have a brilliant idea."

Shane stared at him.

"Why don't we send Kat out to search for her little friends. When she finds them, we can have her page us, or something of the sort. She has already agreed. She can be a double agent, like Ballow," said Luke. His eyes were bright and his cheeks were flushed.

Shane considered the option. It would be a good idea to send the brat out, and her friends would trust her immediately.

"Fine. Send her out with a locating device. Tell her to press the button on it three times and we will send out people. You can have it be in any forum you want. A necklace or a hair tie would be best. Tell her that if she doesn't press the button for a week, we will send people to get her."

***Without the tattoos....he would look less scary***

Abigail - Hunter

"You are kidding me." She stood with her arms crossed.

"It's a good idea," Shane said. "And you were listening in?"

"You have no idea how much that Ballow kid irratated me. I'm not going to work with another brat!" Abigail started to yell.

"Calm down Abbie."

"Calm down? You never calm down whenever we tell you to! Why should I?"

Shane took a deep breath, trying to keep his cool. He wasn't going to shed any blood.

Jessalyn


"Abigail, gosh calm down." Jess said after Shane left.
"Jess, why should I? He never listens, he doesn't care what we think."Abbie shouted.
"He does care," Jess said,"about you." She whispered the last part.
"He cares about you,too."Abigail said.
"No, he doesn't."

Kat

"All you have to do is track down your friends and then press the little button inside of this locket," Luke said, giving her a star shaped locket. It had a tiny button inside of it that could be pressed with a pin, or a pine needle.

She nodded. They stood outside of the Base, looking out into the forest. Kat did not carry any food or water, in case that might give her away. They had decorated her to make her look like she had been beaten and mistreated, but, of course, she had. Her fingers were still gnarled and sore. The dark makeup that surrounded her eyes made her look exhausted and almost dead, which was perfect. Kat hated to do this to her friends, but she had no other choice.

Luke gave her a quick hug, and then she raced out into the forest, knowing exactly where her friends were.

17 hours later..

It was early in the morning as she collapsed into the camp. She had ran almost the entire way. Anna and Chris were lying by a fire, fast asleep, along with the others. Trembling, Kat laid down and shut her eyes. Soon she would be back with Luke... She would be safe from harm..

Anna - Hunted

"Kat!" Chris and Anna jumped up as she came running into camp.

She said nothing as she fell to the ground. Chris rushed over to her.

"Are you okay Kat?"

She still said nothing as she debated her options in her mind.

Abigail- Hunter

"You are crazy." Abigail left the room, ignoring Jess.

Kat

After assuring them that she was fine, she walked a distance away and pressed the button on her necklace with a shaking hand.

Shane

He walked into a room, intending to get a stack of paperwork containing all info about the brats, but then he saw that Abbie was in there, pacing. She looked up and he saw a light flash in her eyes. She walked up to Shane, angry.

"How could you let that girl out there on her own!? How would you know that she would come back?" she shouted. She stepped closer, looking like she was about to hit him.

"It was the best thing we could do! Its better than sitting around looking like idiots with our tongues hanging out!" He shouted back. He took a step closer to her, fully willing to throw her across the room.

"Yeah, well it was a stupid idea on your part and I-" she did not get to say any more because Shane stepped even closer and drew her up in a kiss. He did not know how long they stayed like that, but after what seemed like just a few seconds, or minutes, a sharp beeping broke them apart. With one glance, Shane looked at the monitor connected to the wall and saw that the brat had actually found them.

"I have to go." He left without taking another look back.

Luke - Hunter

"Let's go." Shane came charging into the room, heading for the other door.

"Whoa, whoa, wait. What?"

"Your plan worked. The girl found the others. I have their location right here." He pointed to his watch.

"Yeah, okay....wait. Is that lipstick on your face?" Luke looked at his brother in shock.

Shane said nothing and turned around, heading out the door.

Two Hours later

"Here they are," Shane whispered as they finally spoted the kids, laying down on the ground.
