I'm new here too. I just joined so I haven't done anything yet. Haha everything looks fun so I'm looking forward to it.

Here on YWS we have three main rules you're asked to keep in mind. They are:

~ Review two works before posting any of your own. A "review" being at least three lines long. This is the 2:1 ratio and lets every member on the site get some feedback on their work. Be sure that you always keep that ratio. ^_^

~ Keep chatspeak to a minimal. We are writers, after all. Abbreviations like PoV, lol, brb and other term abbreviations are fine, just don't overdo it. That also goes for capitalization. Be sure to keep those "I"s uppercase.

~ Please rate your works! Rated works, unless rated R, show up on the front page of YWS. You just might get more comments. Rated R works contain the f-word and/or graphic scenes.

YWS is one of the most fun places on the net! You'll get great help for writing and the community is amazing and helpful. ^_^ Hope to see you around the site!

Did someone mention Josh Groban?! Of the many artists that I like, he is the most consistent. What do you guys think of him?

If you look up at Rosey's post above, there are a bunch of rules to help you get started. Please follow the rules, because they not only benefit you, but the rest of the YWS community, and will get you off to a great start.

Don't be afraid to explore the many forums we have here on YWS. For hero, we have an excellent poetry section and lyric section that have people reviewing work all the time. I'm sure you'll love it there. We also have some lovely community forums, like the Randomness forum, along with the well-known Writing forums.

As for Knightly, Josh Groban is a pretty good singer, but I'm not a huge fan. And Kiera Knightly is a wonderful actress I love all the movies she's starred in, too.

ChrisyyMilligan- I wouldn't say your writing is a waste of time, no matter how good or bad it is. Everyone got to suck at some point right? Kepp writing no matter what the review, and I'm sure it will get better.

Don't think like that! I used to believe that if other people didn't like my story, I should stop but that's not true. Only a few dozens of people will read your story here , so you'll have no idea if the rest of the world will love it! Always stick to your own thoughts
I'm sure someone will give you a hand on reviews. You might want to check the Will Review For Food forum. You can request review there

Kat: Yeah, yeah, and oh yeah I like Pirates! My favorite is the third on. In the next few years they are going to make a fourth one, but Keira Knightley won't be in it. (Sobbing uncontrollably) It won't be half as good as the others, kind of like the third Godfather. I think the movie you are thinking of is Pride and Prejudice, not Sense and Sensibility; Keira wasn't in that movie.
