Hey everyone, obviously I'm new here, or else I wouldn't really be posting on this thread.

You can call me whatever, so long as it isn't insulting.

I try to write in as wide a range as I can, but I usually end up writing some sort of science-fiction, no suprise from what I read, but I'm trying harder to do some realistic-fiction pieces. Once I put some stuff up, I'd really appreciate it if I got reviews with hard criticism(not a lot of that "this is so good" stuff, although it is nice every once in a while) because I'm hoping to really improve my writing and I'm hoping this will be the place I can do it, although I am kind of nervous about putting my pieces up....Oh well, I'll have to do it at some point!

Hi, I'm Metamorphwriter41 and I'm new to this site. I found out about this site on Writer's Digest.com. I am in high school and hope to publish a book before I turn twenty. I like to write poetry and am trying to write a thriller.

Bonjour, new buddies! I'm Kitty, and I'm a total nerd. I love writing so much, which is why I'm here. I also love drawing, and i'm really good at it. In fact, I think my drawing enhances my writing, because writing really is an art, and it also helps me to visualize my characters and nail the mood I'm trying to convey. ^^ I'm working on like, six different stories at the same time right now. I'm a creative machine, but I'm a HUGE procrastinator, and I never get around to getting my brain onto paper xD
I hope this place is as awesome as it looks! I love forums. =)

Oh, yeah. I write like, everything, from fantasy, to romance, to pseudo science-fiction. I'm a really good comedy writer, and my sense of humor tends to bleed through into my stories, whether it's through the quirky characters and their blistering wits, or the scenery and my rather unorthodox ways of describing it. I'm always looking for ways to better my self and my writing, which I think is an essential part of my uniqueness as a writer.
My characters are unique, and their personalities always shine through the situation, whatever it is. In fact, one of my oldest characters, James, once saw a werewolf slaughtered before his eyes, and when it was over, he blinked twice and calmly said, "Ew."
I love coming up with new ideas! If I see something even vaguely interesting, I draw it and write it and bend it into whatever shape I can. Eventually, it has nothing to do with the original idea, but it evolves into... whatever you want to call it.

I'm not gonna pretend I'm the best writer. In fact, i probably suck compared to some of the people here. But I'm smart, determined... and totally just realized that I spent about four paragraphs describing myself. Huh. Well, if you want to know anything else, then you can just hunt me down *coughlikeanyonewantstocough*. See you around!^^

Hello everyone! Umm...never seem to figure out how to make a good introduction...

So I'm Crouching Tuna(one of my random net name), and I'm here because I would like to learn to write, whether it's by reading others' works or keep showing mine to others.
I mostly write fantasy or science fiction stories, and they're all heavily influenced by my hobbies, which are dealing with RPGs, online games, fan fiction, movies, and reading some random philosophy books. I'm also in a band, but mostly I play acoustic guitar solo in exhibitions. Am also a street racer, literally. Right now I'm trying my hardest to survive on my own, not depending too much on others such as parents, friends, teachers, or whoever else. This is why I'm trying to put all these situations together and put it in one form, a story.

I live in Bali, you know that tourist place in Indonesia. Most Europeans and Americans consider this place a heaven, and I have to agree with them. But being in heaven while you're supposed to get your ass up and do meaningful things besides chillin' is a hard thing to do, this makes me confused whether I should love or hate this place.

I've been roaming around lots of forums, but this is the first time I've been in a writers forum. So I have to review others before expecting others would review mine? Sounds great, just what I needed, sharing works with others.

Since English is not my first language(at least I'm good enough verbally), I'll be reviewing more on structures or storylines only. I know I'll mess up if I try to help in the form of grammar check and such, so I wouldn't be bothered with that. That's ok, right?

Oh well, boring intros are boring, so I'll end it here.

Crouching Tuna: Hello and welcome! It's good to have you with the site and I didn't find your introduction boring at all, it's always good to hear a little about where people come from. Then again, I'm pretty nosy but uh... we'll call it character research alright? XD

Don't worry about reviewing grammar, we're quite an international site so we understand that not all our members are word perfect in English but I must say, I'd not have known if you hadn't said anything and I really respect a person who can speak/ write in a second language so wonderfully.

Cannos10: Hey there! The points serve two purposes. You'll notice that it costs you points to post each piece of your work and gives you points for every review you write. This helps us to enforce the 2:1 rule which states that for every piece of writing you post, you have to write two reviews. The second purpose is to become featured member. At the end of every two weeks (sometimes a month) the person with the most points gets to be featured member and have their profile on the front page of YWS for the next two weeks/ a month.

Okay, I'm the next newbie around here, I suppose. I have been looking for a nice site to show some of my writing for so long, I actually screamed with joy when I found this one. I am already loving it here and am on my way to write some reviews

You can call me Nev since my name is way too long. I originally write in my native language - Bulgarian, and then translate and being the lazy person I am, I don't produce that much. But hopefully I will show something to the world soon.

Hiya and welcome! So, the rules haven't been up for a while so I'll go over them real quick.

1)No CAPS or chatspeak. ITS'S REALLY annying and ppl cnt undrstnd wht u r sying.

2) Keep the 2:1 ratio. That means that in the Writing forum, you need to have 2 reviews for every story you post.

3)Please please please rate your works. If your story has swearing, gory, graphic, or sexual scenes, please rate them R.

So yeah, those are the rules. Follow them and go forth and spread your writing skills!
