I'm so sorry. I didn't even read the abilities. Do you wish for me to change it?

*All I got right now, maybe someone can be staying at the same hotel as him?*

Kylar-

Kylar was dreaming. It was the same dream he had every night, you would think it would be less horrifying after awhile but it never was. The pain, the guilt, the shame, was still as fresh as the day it had happened.

He was in the body of a man in his late twenties, black hair, brown eyes. Wearing blue jeans, a shirt, and a winter jacket. Just your average guy. He could sense Mom watching over his body in a disconnected way. Sometimes Kylar wondered what would happen if he died while Soul-Jumping, would his body die too? Or would it stay in Trance? Waiting for a Soul that would never return.

Calmly, he kept the gun trained on the worker who was filling the pack with jewelery. The bracelets, rings, and necklaces that would make Mom happy again. At least for a little while. Kylar heard a small tap behind him but dismissed it. Sure the customers were already cowed. The part of him who knew this was a dream shouted futilely, desperately trying to break free of the nightmare.

A stick slammed into his shoulder and he grunted and fell, the gun slipping from numb fingers. Kylar looked up and saw his attacker holding it. A boy just a few years older then him, trying to be a hero. The kind of person Kylar looked up to.

Kylar saw the boy's hand tighten on the trigger, and he brought his hand up in reflex. A ray of light shot from his hand, white hot, and blindingly bright. It ripped a path across half the store. And flames erupted in it's path. A fire that consumed everything, and everyone.

Gasping, Kylar woke and found himself staring at the ceiling of his hotel room, like always the sheets were soaked in sweat from the nightmare. He turned his head and stared out the window. The sky was gray and cloudy. Rain drizzled down onto the city. Ironically the weather matched his mood. Kylar sighed and stood, he needed to check out the city. See what dangers there were to a Roamer. Like if any of the suits were in town.

Sometimes he wondered if any of it mattered at all. Kylar the boy had died in the flames with those other people. Leaving only Kylar the man to carry the sins of the past.

*In case anyone didn't notice. Kylar is seriously disillusioned. Can someone be his friend :smt089 ?

Screams from down the hall awoke me. I sighed. If anywhere should be quiet, it should be a hotel. I turned over and tried to bury my head in my pillow but the screaming persisted. I exited my hotel suite and looked around. Nobody seemed to notice at all. Why didn't anybody hear the loud to the point of unbearable screaming? I discreetly changed shape. The world faded and came back into view. When it did, I was a black panther. I slipped down the hall unnoticed, through the shadows of the dawn. I realized what it was. The screaming was sounding a few decibels above human hearing. It was a sound usually reserved for calling your pets. Why. I slipped down to were the sound was coming from. As I reached the door a teenager in his late teens burst out. He nearly tripped over me. He looked nearly deranged. It was the eyes that made the effect. When her looked at me his eyes narrowed. In suspicion perhaps.

sorry all i have

Can I squeeze into here?

Name: Terra Rose ( People often call her 'rose' to annoy her. She hardly never says her last name.)
Appearance: Thick honey colored hair, Emerald eyes, Light colored skin with some freckles, Fair featured, but has a broad nose. Usually wears casual clothing.
Personality: Detached overall. She is extremely smart, but often denies having real-time cunning. Though doesn't have any friends-Thought it was a pain having friends. Incredibly ambitious at times. If she didn't pocess a shred of kindness-She would quickly set out and destroy every human.
Age: 19
History: N/A....Figure it out yourself.
Alliance: Virtually Neither Creed or Treaty, since she simply has the thoughts of both-Dislikes humanity, but doesn't want to hurt anyone. ( Values nature, and hates how humans are destroying it. If any of the Creed would bring up that.....) Otherwise, she believes she's 'above' the conflict.

Power: Stealing other's powers or abilities-And she keeps all of them.
Catch: The person she steals the power from, keeps the power, but develops a uncanny hate for her (Its automatic). With every power, she is burdened with what it has caused-Hate, Fear, Worship. (For instance, if she gets the power of one who has killed, she is just burdened with...Guilt? And if she takes a power that has caused hate, she gets the hate. Same if the power was used for good). Its really hard to explain. x_x AND if the person she takes the power from dies, the power she stole from them leaves her. I think I put up enough cons.

Going to wait for someone to approve this, and I'll jump right into the story.

*thnx :D *

Kylar-

He had dashed out of his room but stopped short when he entered the hallway. A panther stood outside his door, black as night. Kylar's eyes narrowed as the obvious question presented itself. What the hell was a panther doing in New York?

Crouching down, Kylar reached out and stroked the animals head. "Hey big guy. What are you doing so far from home? You shouldn't be here." He paused as he noticed the cat had odd purple eyes before standing and running down the hall. Kylar put on a burst of enhanced speed, like always he needed to get away from where the nightmares remained.

Anna Bella Curt

She lay in bed awake. She's heard the screams but didn't bother to get up and see what it was. She didn't care. Stupid people could die today for all she cared. She took on her white haired girl look and stood on her feet. She was about medium height but what she liked about this one was she could run fast.

Opening her door she ran out and down the stairs, nearly tripping on the last step but managing not to.

James Maddyson Grey

He smiled to himself as he lay in a luxurious bed. He'd decided to steal from some rich guy and got a card key. It was great to be able to lay there until well after the sun rose. He finally pulled himself up and nearly jumped out of the PJ's he'd found. A... What was that?

A puppet, maybe? Stepping over to it he held out his hand and the head came up. She was beautiful but he couldn't tell if he was a real person acting a puppet or something else. Sighing he decided to leave it, leaving the door open to the full closet as he left, dressed in his usual attire (some things being new, of course*wink*). As he passed the doll she watched him, eyes turning. He didn't bother with it and left the room, the door standing wide open.

Going down the stairs he heard footsteps, quickly coming. He tensed as the girl ran by. She wasn't after him and if he was not mistaken that was the assassin he'd seen before killing some guy... Turning away from the thought he continued down the stairs ad into the bright light of day.

Janne (jain)

She sighed. No one knew she was real. It was quite obvious. Reaching up her hand she pulled her strings from the holding place her master had left them and she fell to the floor in a crumbling pile. She huffed. Time to go to the old ways. "Help," she called. This was not her day...

I sat in my hotel room, situated somewhere in the outskirts of New York, and picked up one of my acoustic guitars from its lonely stand. It must've been nearing dawn by now but as hard as I try, sleep would not come to me. With an almost inaudible sigh, I began to play the sad, soft tune of a lullaby I had taught myself years ago.

A faint scream rippled though the hotel, causing my fingers to slip about an inch in surprise. It continued for a moment before cutting off as quickly as it had started, leaving only an eerie silence in its wake. Seconds later, footsteps sounded in the hallway farther up, towards the elevator.

My instincts told me to leave whoever it was alone and try to forget about it. My curiosity, however, had a different idea, and in the end it was that that won over my instincts. I set my guitar down on the bed and made the few steps to the door, putting my ear to the dark wood and trying to hear what was going on outside. Whoever it was that was running down the hall hadn't reached my room yet, but they were close enough to where I could hear their breathing.

I pulled open my door and stared out into the dimly lit hallway. A man raced past me, a determined look on his face, as if the only thing that mattered in the world at that second was to get out of this hotel.

I stepped out of my room, letting the door click shut softly behind me. The man disappeared around a corner, his footsteps fading with each passing second. With a sigh, I turned to reopen my door when I heard a faint cry for help coming from one of the rooms close to mine. I frowned in concern and confusion, and tried to pinpoint the sound. It seemed to be coming from room 204.

I placed a hand on the cold metal lock on the door and within seconds it clicked on green and I turned the handle quickly. Thankfully, the locks here were electrically managed, so it was a simple task of opening the door.

Inside the room, at first, I couldn't see anything out of place. But as soon as the door was shut behind me, a small voice spoke up from what I had first mistaken as a pile of clothes.

"A little help, please?"

I approached the girl laying on the ground and bent down next to her. "What's wrong?"

*I'm going to make it so that my character can move on her own as long as she has her strings attached to another person.*

Janne (jain)

"I Err.." she looked away for a second and spotted her strings. "See those strings over there. Please pick them up."

"Okay..." Picking them up they glowed in his hand as she rose to stand on her own. "Wow.." The boy trailed off as he spotted the joints showing so well you couldn't mistake them. Janne blushed and scratched the back of her head.

"I'm a puppet of sorts, I guess you could say. Hi. I'm Janne." As he shook her hand she analyzed him. Be had very nice hair, and nice eyes, though some would call it weird. She'd seen more than a lot of things that would be beyond weird in battle.

"Rilo," He said. She smiled and he nearly dropped her strings she jumped at his hand.

"Don't drop the strings!"

*>.< acward..*

"Okay then." I told myself as the surroundings flashed and I was my favorite form. A tall girl, about 17 with freckles, a light complexion, and short, thick, chin length red hair. Being tall made me feel superior. I strolled down the hall. Someone's door had been left wide. I checked inside and saw a man picking up the strings of a, puppet? My senses told me no. Even without my hyped up senses, I could tell that this thing was a living breathing creature. I walked into the room. "What are you doing?" I stood right behind him and looked over his shoulder. He jumped and noticed me for the first time. "Someone's a little claustrophobic," I pointed out. He glared at me with an ice cold gaze.

I started as someone, unheard and unseen until now, looked over my shoulder and asked what I was doing. I spun around quickly, being sure to keep my hand grasped firmly around the strings.

"Someone's a little claustrophobic," the new girl said, rolling her eyes. I shot her an icy glare and my body naturally stiffened.

"Can I help you?" my voice as cold as my eyes.

The girl's short red hair bounced lightly as she walked around us. I cast Janne a puzzled glance, wondering if she knew something that I didn't. She shrugged helplessly, obviously as confused as I was.

The girl finished her observation of Janne and I and stood in front of us again, hands on her hips.

"Can I help you?" I repeated, my voice harder than it had been before.

Lyric~

"yes." I answered. Mocking his sharp tone. "What is that?"
He explained. His voice never warming. "Sort of like Pinnochio isn't she. Can I try?" I asked, after I found out what exactly she was.
He looked at Janne. She shrugged. He carefully handed me the strings. The moment I touched them I felt connected. "Wow. This is amazing." I said. He wouldn't smile but I felt one trying to break through. Canging the subject, I asked them, "Have you heard of a guy, oh..., about yea high that just a few minutes ran down the hall?"
They considered it.

All I got... sorry.

"I um..." She let her controls fall to the girl if she wished to try and control her. If she wished she could. Even the man could...

Smiling he sat at a bench watching for pottential pockets to pick.

Anna Bella Curt

She saw some guy racing down the street and finally stop by a fountain while she spied one of the poeple she'd run by. She let her attention fall to the guy.... Kylar. Her memeory did not deceive her.

She smiled as she changed to a younger ish version of the white haried girl and walked up to the guy. "Hi!" She said cheerfully. He may be able to notice that she was a shapeshifter. There was a flaw in her ability and it was kind of stupid. The fact that her personality slipped quite a few times. The boy turned to her and stared her down for a long second before saying something.

**Anyone mind bringing me in? Sorry to ask so early in the storybook... but, I kind of can't get on much anymore. I've got to hit the sack after this post, and won't be able to get back on until six tomorrow. (School, softball, then helping out with the daycare) **
