Matt woke up suddenly to the noise of glass breaking. He jumped up and raced to the bathroom. "Ginger...what happened?!" He asked. He pulled her into his arms gently and held her gently. "Are you okay?!" He wanted to take care of her...he didn't like the fact that she was hurt. He held her tightly in his arms. He never wanted to let go. He wanted to be here for her...if she would let him.

Ginger cried for the longest time, and it only hurt her more that Matt tried to comfort her. She shook in his arms and he took her hand that was bleeding.
"My, God. Ginger did you do that to yourself?!" he asked.
Ginger didn't meet his eyes.

Ginger let him hold her.
"Remember the time when we went to Strabucks, and every girl thought we were a couple and I tried so hard to get you to be straight, and I even used the girl at the counter to make you jealous."
she laughed, her nose was red. "And you were so weirded out by the fact I told you I was gay." Ginger laughed. "I'm sorry I lied to you."

Matt sighed. "It's fine. I understand. Want to tell me what happened?" He asked softly. Despite everything, she had become his best friend and he loved her.

She looked up at him tears in her eyes. "You don't have to tell me...But I would like to know.

Ginger shook her head, she didn't want to talk about it. Didn't want to remember. She didn't trust any guy, except Matt. Her ex-boyfriend proved that tonight. Her body shook. She felt like she was going to throw up.
"I don't. I can't."

Matt nodded. He just held her close and let her cried. Once she was done, He set her on the couch and went into the kitchen. He made a cup of hot coffee, the way she liked it, and brought it to her. He gave it to her and grabbed a blanket. He wrapped Ginger in the blanket and held her tightly in his arms. "Is there anything else I can do?" he asked softly. Even if she couldn't tell him what happened, she wanted to help her as much as he possibly could. He loved her, and he knew he probably always would.

Ginger shook her head.

"No I think you did enough for me, thanks Matt." she smiled and hugged him.

"Your welcome." he said.

"I think I'm just gonna go to bed." she shrugged.

Matt sighed and nodded. "Okay. Tomorrow is Saturday, so I suggest you sleep in. Goodnight." he headed to his own room and ran a hand through his hair. What was he going to do with her. he didn't know what was going to happen. He didn't want to leave her alone, but he didn't know what else to do. He climbed back in bed and starred at the ceiling, not knowing what else to do.

Matt wondered out of his room. He was exhausted. He hadn't slept very well last night. He went into the kitchen and saw Ginger grabbing milk for cereal. He smiled at her beautiful form. "Hey. Feelihng any better?" He asked.

She shook her head.

He went to the fridge. "Can I fix you breakfast?"

"I'm not a big breakfast person..."

He sighed. "Let me fix you breakfast. Please." He begged as he pulled the eggs out of the fridge.

Ginger was about to refuse when he asked please again. She nodded. "OK." she whispered and put the box of cereal back.

"Why don't you eat breakfast?"

"Um, I dunno I guess I just, never really have." she shrugged.

"And why is that?" he aske, smiling, Ginger had to admit, he had a beautiful smile.

"I was just always in a hurry, my body just kind of got use to it. I always just ate cereal." she admitted.

Matt nodded. He was glad she was letting him cooking. He loved to cook. He wanted her to eat too. He cared about her health a lot. He started making omlets. He grabbed some bacon and threw it in a frying pan. "Do you like pancakes?" He asked.

"Whatever." She said, as she watched him cook.

He was getting hot. He took off his shirt. He wnt back to fixing breakfast. He put some pancakes on. He bustled about the kitchen for thirty minutes making sure everything was perfect. He was finally done.

He put everything on two plates and left the kitchen to clean up later. "Hope you like it." He smiled at her.

Ginger smiled it was a sad smile but still a smile. "I know I will, thank you." she said. "So guessing by the way you ran around this kitchen you like to cook."

"That's right." he nodded.

"Do you ever think about it as a career?" she asked.

"No, not really." he said.

"Why not, your really good at it Matt."

Matt blushed. "Uh thanks...Have you even tasted it yet?"

She laughed. It was a captivating laugh. Course, he was captivated by her in general. She took a bite of her food.

"Do you like it?"

"It's delicious Matt!"

He smiled. "I'm glad you like it. You should let me cook for you everyday. I'd prefer to do that for you every day." He looked deep into her beautiful eyes. He liked her so much. He was glad they were such good friends. He just felt comfortable around her. He hadn't felt comfortable around a girl in a long while.
