Starstruck

Journey merely moved her fingers, just a little bit, of course she heard him! She wanted to see the little ones that she had created a special bond with. She wanted to open her eyes and move, this was worse than forgetting her family. But it was better than being dead. Or at least for the moment.

"Journey you moved your fingers." he said.

Barely, she was suprised he even saw it. It was such a little movement.

Colt stroked her face. "You gonna get better, love, your gonna hold those babies." He said kissing her forehead as he laid on th ebed next to her and fell asleep.

Journey felt like she was trapped in a coffin, thaat people knew she was in but had no way of helping her out. Why? Why her? Why him? Hadn't enough happened to their family? If she could say one thing, it would be that she loved him.

Colt woke up after a horrible night's sleep. He kissed Journey's forehead then went to the nursery to find his mom asleep with one of the babies in her lap, her dad and the nurse the same way. Trent was curled up on the floor Chup next to him.

He went down stairs and cooked up some food for everyone waiting for them to come down and hoping today would be when Journey woke up.

Journey felt cold sweat start up on her forhead. She wanted to move, wake up, touch her newborns. She made a small tiny whimper. She moved her fingers again.

She needed to wake up. He didn't know how to wake her up, he didn't want to her hurt, but he wanted to shake her and see her open her eyes.

Journey had waken up two days ago, it had been hard, she held Abby, the only daughter that was awake.

"She's a pretty girl." Journey smiled kissing her forehead.

"She's beautiful." Colt smiled. HE couldn't stop smiling. His life was perfect again. Journey was awake, and all four of their kids were healthy and safe.

"Mommy, can Chup come in?" Trent asked.

"Sure honey." Journey replied. Chup stayed right at Trent's side. Both were cautious about being in the room when Journey was because the day she'd waken up they'd been in there playing while the babies slept and both got yelled at. Ever sense they were on their best behavior around Journey and the babies.

"Their all perfect." she smiled. "I missed you alot." she said, kissing Colt on the mouth. "You have no idea how much." she said.

"I think I do." he said.

"I wanted you in there so much." she said.

"I know." he nodded.

"They wouldn't let me. Had to have security there to keep me from banging down the door." He smiled.

"I heard, the nurses thought it very heroic. The doctor said it was a nuesence." She smiled.

"Ah, but I wanted to be in there with you." He said kissing her forehead.

"Can I hold Jamieson, he's awake!" Trent said from where he was standing next to Jamieson's bed

Journey bit her lip. "Yeah. Just be very careful with him. Treat him like he's glass." she said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know Momma, he's a baby. Duh." Trent said.

Journey laughed. "Juts making sure." she said.
