Liamedes:

They had breached the walls. Now was time for Liamedes to show his powers. He gathered strenght to his fist and pulled it back and then he punched. A great portion of the wall flew away infront of him taking both Djinn and the enemy with it.

He smiled. I still got it. He turned his atention elsewhere. He looked at the castle, it was a long distance still but they would mannage it. He turned to face the enemy deffences. They had scrambled. Why hadn't the enemy prepared better? Was this a trick?

Liamedes breathed in and then spit fire on the enemy, burning soldiers to crisp.

Temori

"Your Majesty, the king of Volca has taken down a major line of defense. He has arrived at our very doorstep." the aid said grimly. I saw Riverr look away from the aid and towards the door. I understood that he wanted to fight.

Commander Rayne walked in with his battle helmet off, which was never a good sign.

"What is the meaning of this? How did he get through?" I demanded from my head officer.

"I am sorry your majesty, but now is not the time. We must get you and the king away from the palace." he told me. This was insanity. I was more than capable of fighting the beasts. I held my head high and replied,

"I shall not allow my kingdom to fall. You well know that I can fight these beasts."

"But where will the Ferai turn to when there is no queen?" Rayne questioned.

"I do not have times for such conversations. I am ready to play offense now." I said. "I need Leo and Sian called down at once. The Ferai are in need of an assassin to take down the Djinn."

Leo

The second the guards left them to their own devices, Leo gave Sian a meaningful look, "First lesson - all the demons are dangerous in their own ways. Given that you've already been to Aetha and Vulca, you've probably worked out the Djinn and the Wraiths for yourself. From what the queen said, I'm fairly sure she killed her last husband."

Sian frowned a little, "She must know you've worked that out, so why does she still welcome you?"

Leo shrugged, "I'm not exactly sure myself. My best guess is that there are two reasons. First, my mother was a good friend of hers, so I get brownie points for being a blood relation. Second, I haven't questioned her actions, and to her, that means I condone them, whatever her reasons." He gave a bitter smile, "I'm fine with her believing that, if it keeps me alive until I can work out what her reasons were for myself."

Just as he finished, a guard pushed the door open, "Leo and Sian?"

Leo nodded his acknowledgement, beginning to become fed up with the way they seemed to be chaperoned around the Ferai castle.

"You will come with me now. The queen requires you to perform a service for her, in exchange for her hospitality."

It's always the same with these royals. Leo mused as they entered the throne hall once again, Nothing's ever free. Of course, they weren't even close to a position from which they could argue - they were two mortals in the middle of a demonic battleground, and it now seemed their only alliance was hinged on whether they accepted a task deemed too difficult for the Ferai themselves. Too suicidal. He amended, The queen wouldn't have any trouble finding a capable Ferai, but mortals are expendable. He really had no choice in the matter - it was death whatever way he answered, just less certain if he accepted. But he wouldn't allow the queen to force it on Sian as well. From what he'd seen so far, he was better suited to whatever the demons might throw in his path.

Liamedes:

He had pulled out his two swords; Apollo and Ares. The other one blazing with fire and the other sharp enough to cut a stone without real effort. He took a step at the enemy lines, followed by his own men whi fired arrows at the enemy.

This is too easy. They were out numbered before the battle even started, and they don't have a veteran amogst them. This is not normal for the Ferai, it is not like them to just sacrifise troops.

He lunged at the enemy shields shlashing every man or woman in his way.

He saw the face of one of the Ferai he killed, the soldier was young. Very young.

Sending children to fight me? What do they take me for?

The lines of the young soldiers were falling the survivors were retreating.

"Men assemble into the groups you had been trained for and catch the remaining enemy. All civilians are to be captured and all civilian men are to be executed. Leave no soldier or capable fighter alive!"

He himself turned to his elite troop that had assembled behind him, It was a troop of four hundred Djinn and him and Ahihud.
"Ahihud." He said.

The familliar figure came from the lines "Yes Liamedes." The fact that Ahihud used Liamedes's name freely didn't please the other soldiers as they also did respect their king but they took no action as they knew that Ahihud was in the favor of their king.

"We are going to raid the castle, and I need you to assemble some kind of distraction to the possible troopps that will bé ahead."

"So some more spying?"

"Yes."

Ahihud sighed "You know I don't like this."

"Yes."
Ahihud chose three men and left to do the recon.

Liamedwes himself turned to the wooden houses infront of him, he had decided to do a distraction of his own as well, He spat fire on the wooden building infront of him, creting a great bonfire that started to spread thought all the buildings that had been built from wood or had wood in them.

"So nice to see you again, Leo and Sian. I am afraid I am in need of some help."

"What kind of help?" Leo questioned. I made sure that no one was listening before

"I require a person who is not a Ferai, someone smaller and deadlier, to kill one of their leaders." I said. "This will surely demobilize them for a time. You see, all soldiers must pay their respects to their leader."

"And who is this leader? How do we kill him?" Sian asked. They seemed rather calm considering what I was asking of them.

"Her," I corrected. "She will be within the Djinni palace. From my spy's knowledge, the king is here, but will pull back his troops if his kingdom was attacked. As soon as all of the Djinn are within their realm and our soldiers have regained their strength, we will send in the final blow. But you must come back immediately after you have assassinated the queen. I would hate to think what would become of you if you happened into some mourning Djinni, or even worst, the king."

Leo

The human rolled his eyes, looking to the sky for a moment, "This is so much worse than I expected." He had thought that the mission - whatever it may have been - would be restricted to Ferai, that he wouldn't have to try jumping from one world to another again. He'd already tested his luck enough today as it was. "Your Highness, I can see your point exactly here, the logic of your plan cannot be questioned."

"But...?" The queen smiled, quirking an eyebrow.

"My abilities may not be up to the task. If I try to travel to Vulca, I can't be sure that I'll end up there. Or, if I do, that I'll end up where I need to." He took a deep breath, looking to Sian for a moment, "For that reason, I must request that you allow me to go alone on this mission, my chances of successfully getting to a specific destination are diminshed when I try to take another." He turned to Sian, "I can't bring you with me."

No doubt the queen would see right through him, but his words were true, in part. If he tried to take Sian with him, the part of him that didn't want to put her in danger could complicate things. He didn't know what would happen - if she'd stay here, go with him, or end up back on Earth.

**Teddybear22, sure, where are they? just put them in one of the world and most of the writers would gladly pull you in.**

I walked unhurt on the roof of the castle as i looked for something extraordinary, something that didn't match the other settings in the palace. I found it in one of the un-captured rooms. Sensing a high energy source i broke through the roof and landed lightly on the floor. Once the dust cleared i could clearly see that there were two humans and the queen of the Ferai.

I ran to the door that opened to the battle.

"Her Majesty is being attacked, we need reinforcements!" I shouted then closed and locked the doors, smiling as i felt the Ferai trying to enter.

"Its nice to finally meet Temori " I said bowing then added "Temori is your name right?"

The Ferai that had been watching me all this time curiously flinched at the name.

The plan would be simple, the king needed a distraction, half the soldiers stationed here were banging on the door now trying to get in.

"Who are you" she asked not even the slightest bit afraid.

"My name is Ahihud" I replied eying the humans.

The male human seemed familiar, the female didn't arouse my curiosity though.

"You!" I said pointing at the human "Do i know you?"

**Hows that?**

Nick

"You may have seen me around," Nick smiled wickedly. "But her, you're just now going to meet."
Chloe wove her hands in a complicated pattern that she had practiced millions of times, but this time it was going to work.
Nick felt the power in the room, he was shocked at the force of it. Then all of a sudden he saw Ahihud's head fall forward, is a state of unconsciousness. He turned to look at the queen, she as well was unconscious. He nodded to Chloe,"Okay, let's get going before we're caught."
He picked up Ahihud, while Chloe struggled with the queen. Then they slipped out of the room and down the hall hoping they wouldn't be detected.

Liamedes:

He wasn't sure what Ahihud had done but it had cleared the deffences.

There were only individuals hangign around the palace gardens , but they were swiftly disposed off.

I have to remember to reward Ahihud somehow.

His guard ´had formed into groups that went into every part of the castle in order to conquer it. The mission was to find and kill all ferai and unwanted lifeworms.

Liamedes ws going through one of the halls when he approached a door, the door was surrounded by ferai.

They were trying to push it open. Liamedes smiled So this was the distraction

He walked silently behind one of the ferai and apped his shoulder,

The ferai didn't turn his head he just answered "No time for playing around the queen is in danger."

Liamedes tapped again, this time the ferai answered his voice angry "What-" His voice crackled as he saw who he was talking to.

"Hullo." Liamedes smile just before he slashed his sword through the man's gut.

The other guards turned around to see what was with the commotion, and that was when the djinn advanced.

And yet Liamedes could not stop thinking that there was something wrong with this.

After they had killed the guards they were stepping at the door, when it oppened and two humans bumped on Liamedes.

Sian

"I'm going." said Sian firmly. So firmly, she surprised herself and, apparently, Leo.

"But, I can't guarantee your safety." said Leo slowly.

"I know. But, unlike you, I can get to Vulca and know exactly where I want to go. I am accurate when traveling there and to Aetha. I can get you there."

She took a deep breath and set her expression. Leo looked as though he was going to protest when the Queen held up a graceful hand to stop him. "Excellent. So you will both be going and returning as quickly as possible. You are dismissed." On the word "dismissed" she gave Leo a hard look.

Leo bowed and walked out quickly. Sian curtsied and ran out after him.

**Umm, wait, hold on. It was Leo and Sian with the queen, not Nick and Chloe...**

Leo

He pushed open the hallway's doors, trying to work out how the other two humans had managed to thread a gate into the throne room. It was supposed to be impossible! Well, either way, they'd saved him the trouble of being recognised by Ahihud.

As the door swung open, he collided with someone - something - beyond it. He raised his eyes to see Liamedes, looking equally surprised. "Ah, Christ." He muttered. This gave a whole new meaning to 'out of the frying pan, into the fire'.

The king of the Djinn bellowed and slashed at him, the sword cutting through the partially open doors of the throne room as if they were hot butter. Leo leapt back just in time, pushing the other four back in the process. Then he sent a wave of cold forward towards Liamedes, drawing from the winter of Solum itself and intensifying it. The king staggered backwards, just like he had last time Leo had been forced to deal with him.

He focused, not wanting to spend any more time than he had to around Liamedes - the Djinn hated him since he'd made some smart-mouthed comments in the very throne room of Vulca. Picturing that same room, he forced a gate open around them, no small feat in itself, and transported the five of them to Vulca. The last place he wanted to be.

The gate opened just outside the room, and Leo collapsed almost immediately. The combination of the throne room's repulsive magic, the exertion of attacking a demon king, and the after-effects of teleporting five people all hit him at once, and, with the room spinning a little, he slumped back against the wall of the hallway, hoping that Liamedes had been fool enough to take all his men with him and leave the queen to her own devices.

**Right... this is complicated! :)**

Sian

Everything had happened in such a blur. One minute they were in the throne room, then Leo had opened the gate and they were thrown into some part of Vulca she didn't know.

Seeing Leo collapsed on the ground she ran over to him. He was breathing heavily and looked pale. "Leo! Leo!" She shook him, gradually, he came too.

Groaning he rolled over onto his back and lay staring up at her worried face. He smiled weakly, "I'll be alright. Just give me a minute."

Sian wasn't sure if he knew where they were or if he understood what was going on but she smiled nonetheless. He was alive and that was all that mattered to her.

Leo

He coughed a few times - his vision was still a little blurry, and he felt as though he'd been winded, but he managed to stagger to his feet, leaning on Sian a little. He took a few deep breaths, "I'm going to have to leave the whole assassination thing to you four..." he panted, "I don't think I'll be capable of any magic for a while."

The two newcomers, who'd appeared in Solum only moments before they'd left, looked at each other, confused. "Sorry." said the boy, "Did you say assassination?"

Leo nodded, and the boy grinned, putting his hands on his hips, "Then you're in luck! That's my profession on Earth!"

Leo shook his head with a sick smile, "We're not killing a human, we're killing the queen of the Djinn. And we don't have much time before her husband comes after us, although I doubt he thinks we've come to Vulca."

Sian

Leo leaned against her as he struggled to explain what they had to do. Sian wondered what she should do. She didn't care about the Queen of Solum wanted, she just wanted Leo to be alright.

She shook the thoughts out of her head. "Who are you?"

"I'm Nick and this is Chloe." said the boy pointing to the girl.

"Great, I'm Sian and this is Leo."

"Sian... that's an unusual na--"

"It's Welsh." said Sian, cutting Chloe off as Leo coughed again and she supported him. Once he had recovered he stood again, still leaning heavily on her.

"Ok, so where are we?" asked Nick, rather too cheerfully for Sian's liking considering the circumstances.
