Celia-

After the strange creature had spoken for her, and told the guards to get her water, Celia was overjoyed. Maybe this would work after all.

To her surprise, the guards actually unchained her feet and hands. They are probably releasing me so I won't weigh down the group. Three out of four guards left to go get water, most likely for protection, because you never know who's out there in the slums.

Easy. Celia glanced at her fellow prisoners, and then looked at the locks that held them down. She stared at them so hard, one would think she was trying to unlock them with her eyes, which was exactly what she was trying to do. Her eyes began to change color, from transparent to blue, from blue to purple, and from purple to red.

Then, all of a sudden, the locks opened and they all were free.

"Go!" she shouted, "Run away before zey catch you!"

Kiron-

He didn't waste a moment, reaching out he grabbed the winged girl who had spoken to him, and the girl who had fallen. Then he bolted down the streets, pulling them after him. Dodging and weaving through the crowd, he heard the remaining guard shout as the prisoners ran in different directions.

Kiron ducked into an alley and hid behind some old boxes with the girls. He glanced at the one who had freed them. "Thanks for the save. But couldn't you have waited until they brought the water, I could have taken a power boost from it."

She rolled eyes and snapped at him sarcastically. "Well sorry. I didn't know."

Grinning Kiron turned to the other, adrenaline pumping through him. He winced when he saw the girls wings, they were clipped in several places and looked pretty painful. Kiron rubbed his fingers along the feathers, they felt like ridged silk. "They did a number on you didn't they. These look painful."

The girl looked at him in surprise. "You don't think their ugly? Most humans do." Her voice was slightly hoarse from disuse.

Chuckling he tapped a finger to her nose. "Ah, but I'm not human. In fact I run around with wings myself half the time. I'm Kiron by the way, what about you two."

"Celia." The first grumbled.

The other girl smiled slightly at him and said. "And I'm Dahlia."

"Nice to meet you, Kiron" I said after giving an awkward smile to him. He looked pretty human to me, but water was still making my sight blurry so I couldn't see much. I knew what I must've looked like to the two, well, what they could see in this darkness. But once they got a chance to see me in light, they would guess that I was weak and would snap like a twig because of my bony frame, but I didn't care much now. I was too focused on Kiron who was examining my clipped wings.

"So, either of you have any idea about we get out of here?" Celia asked us and I shook my head in a no.

Alahzard sat alone in large hall. the Ceiling was vaulted, held aloft by bleak lifeless pillars. he sat cross-legged on a large, rather ornate pillow, that his new 'friends' had afforded him. his hands lay folded in his lap. his eyes darting back and forth inspecting his new surroundings.

"More will come" he said softly to himself, knowing that his room could not be for just him.

He would think no more of this as there was little that he could do about what may lay ahead. No, instead he though about the ice, how had he come to be imprisoned there. Alas he could not recall. so strange, the last thing he could remember before his unfreezing was razing a coastal village in a fit of anger. he laughed to himself at the recollection of this event. the laughter was sort lived however, he was angry, more so with him self then anything else. How had he told the king that he would help him with anything he needed. Perhaps the most damning of all was that he was alone in the room, there was no lock on the door no guard, though neither would do any good against a Marid. still his word was binding, and as such he could not leave.

Okay, we're in the castle now...

Elon

Imbociles! I thought, struggling to determine who I should follow. They were all running in separate directions. I sighed, opting to stay put.

A swarm of soldiers in black plate armor came barreling toward me, only two of them stopping to grab me. I ignored the sound of orders being given by the captain as the two who had grabbed me dragged me up the main street, dropping me just outside the castle gates. And there we sat, waiting.

Not long after, the rest of the prisoners were dragged to the castle gates, dropped in the same way I was. I rolled my eyes, mentally sighing. Escape wouldn't happen here.

"Idiot mongrels!" On of the soldiers shouted, dropping the last prisoner on the ground. He had wings on his back, an odd occurance, yet at the same time, not. I watched as he winced in pain, cradling his arm. He met my gaze. Grinning, I knew he could tell what I was thinking.

Imbocile.

The soldiers lifted us up, one by one, and opened the gate, pulling us through. The grass that lined the cobble path was as green as an emerald; numerous flower gardens posted throughout the whole courtyard. The place seemed oddly familiar to the castle grounds in Vendegger, yet at the same time very different.

The castle inside were much different than Vendegger's. The walls were bare and bleak, with no sign of any life to be found in the main hall. The large doors that led into the throne room were laced with cobwebs and discolored. I looked around at the other prisoners. They, too, noticed the vacancy of this castle, as if this place had to history at all. The uniforms on the guards were nothing like the history books had explained about the countries; unless Arborland changed their colors, as they had favored to do ever so often.

Our group stopped just before the webbed doors. Tiny hallways stretched out in each direction, large doors lining them. We were led down the right hall, passing numerous doors before we came to another large opening.

The hall that stretched in front of us was filled with color and magic. Paintings lined the walls, along with tapestries and statues. Why was this hall decorated, but not the more important ones? Maids and servants bustled about in front of us, carrying bedding and other odd things form door to door.

The hilt of a sword jabbed into the small of my back, forcing me to move. These new surroundings made me uneasy; I longed for my blade back. I moved at a sea turtles pace down the colored hall way. Why would one decorate the way to the dungeon? The king of this country was definitely odd.

I came to a dead stop as I ran into a hard, bulky body. Looking up, a man wearing a green and black robe stood in front of me, glaring. He touched his fingers to his lips, then continued on his way, disappearing into a dark room.

Odd. As I began to move, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I jerked back towards the group. Turning around, I saw that a smaller door had been opened, and the rest of the group was pouring inside. I followed suit.

The room was extravegant. Tapestries and pillars lined the walls, the ceiling seeming as high as the sky itself. I stared in awe, stumbling forward. The guards soon piled out of the room, locking the door behind them. Movement caught my eye.

Crouching into my battle stance, I looked in front of me. Atop a large, ornate pillow sat a man wearing nothing but trousers and a vest. He eyed me curiously. I felt as if I was looking at perfection itself. Despite my usual agressive demeanor, I smiled. Noticing what I was doing, I slapped a hand to my mouth, my face going red.
Anti-Peta.

"In Vabbi , I was ambushed by six of them! They wielded blunt wooden sticks and were hissing at me about overdue fines... Bandits? Oh, no. These were library envoys."

Alahzard let out a belly laugh when he saw the girl clasp her hand to her mouth. He got to his feet and inspected the new arrivals from a distance. Finally his eyes fell back on the girl her hand still over her mouth.

"So curious you all are, though you must have extraordinary abilities if you have found your way to me here." he paused considering his own words.

"Indeed i know not why we are here, but i know that none of you are here of your own free will, myself included." he let out another laugh.

He then took a bow sweeping low, his gaze still fixed on the girl.
"My name is Alahzard"

*Kiron doesn't have wings in human form.*

Kiron-

He snarled and began pacing the room. Kiron needed out, needed to shift, he'd never gone this long in his human form. Not since the first time he shifted. Glancing over at the other man he affected an air of indolence. "And just out of curiosity, why are we here? Normally I'd guess it's because of my family, but no one else in this room looks like their royalty."

Alahzard's gaze shifted to the man briskly moving about, unable to remain still, as if prodded by some unseen force. He resumed his sitting position before speaking again.

"We are, i suspect, here because each of us has unique abilities. From there i would guess that you are either a danger to the this land, or perhaps we are to be tools of it" Alahzard stated as he leaned his back against the wall.

"Regardless-" he sighed " i am bound to there will, as for you they managed to bring you here so you may as well play there games, for a while anyway."

His gaze then sifted back to the woman who was still eyeing him ...

Celia

"Yes, yes we all understand that... Alahzard, how long have you been here?" Celia tapped her foot.

"About a day before all of you have...- Wait how do you know my name?"

Celia rolled her eyes. "I'm a mind reader. I can read what your thinking right now, and all about each and every one of you. Its most probably the reason they captured me." For proof, Celia added:"Kiron, I know all your weaknesses. They are claustrophobia, you are too competitive, and you are easily dehydrated." And with that, Celia sat down again and started messing with hair.

Kiron stared at Celia for a long moment, then resumed his pacing. Celia looked up and thought she could sense human forms, just above the ceiling. her eyes grew wide and she motioned for everybody to be quiet and not to move a muscle. then, she whispered in her mind, so that everybody could hear it in their minds too,

"They're watching us."

I felt miserable without the comfortable canopy of trees, the filtered sunlight. After the ruckus in the street, the beggars given kicks for alms, the gamblers blows for loans, my ears deigned to hear no more. I disconnected my mind with them. The room in which we were now put was decorated lavishly, in a fashion even I could not imagine. I knew I wasn't dreaming. There were 7 of us, and now 8. I sighed, wishing someone would ask the question that hung in the air. Why were we here?
Indeed! Why were we dragged from our lives, knocked unconscious? I did not ask the question aloud. Even in the dungeon, I was hidden in the darkest, most unnoticeable niche in the wall, as if the guards knew I needed to be concealed. Hah! That they would bother was laughable. The brutal men who brought us might have been just men, but they were strong enough to remind me of my brother, Seldon. And now, though much more illumination, I was ignored. Thank goodness. I hated the awkwardness of talking to people I did not know.
They're watching us.
The words reverberated in my head. I knew they must've been in the others' too, because their eyes widened slightly. The girl, white and obviously of the snow, glared at each of us in turn. Frozen, I listened hard. Then I heard it. Sounds of movement from above us. And much, much louder, a shuffling sound - of footsteps?
"You all have greater perception than one would suspect. Good, good. That would, perhaps be why we chose you. Handpicked you, of millions, to be here. But you are stupid. Mute and paralysed. Turn to face me."
Thus commanded, I turned backwards and saw one of the weirdest characters of all I had already seen.

I actually already wrote a very long post, but the internet broke down at the crucial second (curse you!), so I abridged.

*we're now in the castle, and they took us to a decorated prison room. We had just discovered that we were being watched*

Celia

The man that had spoken did not seem like a man at all. Yes, there was an officials hat on his head, but that was the only recognizable feature. He was an Ogre. Celia had heard of the horrible creature before, but she had never seen one up close.

All the prisoners took at least one step back, for the Ogre had a weapon in hand. It was a dagger.

"I can sense the power filling the air around you all," he grunted. "You will be very useful to us."

His eyes scanned the room, and eventually stopped on Celia.

"Well well well.. The Princess to farydul. I have heard rumors of your beauty, but now I find that they were true. Your astounding grace has bewitched me." The Ogre took a hold of her arm and examined her up close.

Horrified, Celia spat on the face of the Ogre.

A fiery screech erupted the room, so badly, that the prisoners lost all of their senses for a few seconds, and when their eyes cleared, Celia lay on the ground, with blood leaking from her side.

"And let that be a lesson to all who defy me," and with that, the Ogre left, bloody dagger in hand.

I ran to Celia as fast as I could, which wasn't very fast at this moment. My speed felt as if it was slower than a human's now, which was bad. I sat beside her, she was breathing fast and wasn't moving much.

"Somebody help me!" I shouted to the people behind me. "Celia, try to stay awake, okay?" I said and then turned my head back to the people behind me, "Someone come and help!".

*DragonSong, is basically the language of dragons, very musical. It also helps with magic.*

Kiron-

He shook his head to get the ringing out of his ears and ran to help Celia. Kiron was already calling the water in the air around him. The liquid coated his hand, glowing with a soft blue light.

Gently, he crouched by Dahlia, and placed his hand on Celia's wound. It was deep, but it was obvious the ogre had deliberately missed the vital spots. Softly he crooned to the water, in DragonSong, calling to the water inside of Celia. The glow intensified and when he lifted his hand the wound had mostly closed.

Kiron leaned back with a sigh and let the water dissipate back into the air. He looked and around at the others and gave them a crooked smile. "A word of warning to everyone here. I don't heal wounds, I just accelerate the healing process."
