*TIME OUT my guys the Jaguar and he's already in the shop in his human form. It's the Hyena who's hunting us. I'll try to fix this. The cat, refers to his animal half inside him, like split personality.*

Shade-

Shade snarled and turned his back on the snake and the leopard. He paced the shop snarling to himself as he grappled with the cat. All the humans had fled the shop, the only ones left were animals, and a few humans, who he could tell by scent now, were shifters too.

He could see his reflection in the window, and he had always liked his animal form. The jaguar was black, with darker black spots along his body. Finally he pushed the cat to the back of his mind, and with a roar, flashed back to his human form.

Turning around he apologized to the others with a sheepish grin, his short blue-black hair flying around his face. "Sorry about that. My animal half has a mind of its own sometimes."

**whoops. 0.0 Sorry!**

Sarah blinked and recoiled. She slid back into her human form, shedding scales for skin. Her eyes stayed the same for a few seconds after shifting, but she blinked a few times and they lost the slits in favour for human pupils.
Staring at the jaguar man, she showed him her arm. "A mind of its own?" Three long gashes were leaking blood onto the floor. The man's face had scratches from the falcon's talons. "It got us all pretty beat up. Control yourself next time. Please."

Shade-

He rolled his eyes sarcastically and bent down to pick up his jacket, the rest of his clothes were form fitting enough that they changed with him. "It's not as easy for me as it is for you. The line between my human and animal is blurred. It's hard to tell the difference sometimes."He grinned at the others. "But I've never met other people who can shift like me."

*Hold on, so is Peter meant to be in there already, or just on his way? If I get this wrong, someone tell me.*

Jason

Jason let out a long sigh as the jaguar finally managed to gain control of himself, shifting back to his human form. He relaxed himself, feeling the urge to change into his ocelot form subsiding quickly. So, there were others like him. He still wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

He looked around - his shift partner had vanished, "Carmen? Where're you?" There was a scuffle from beneath the counter, one of the buckets of coffee beans rattling a little. He pulled it out, lifting an otter out from behind it. He held it up, frowning at it a little, "Now where'd you come from?" He murmured, a moment before the otter morphed back.

Carmen gave him an annoyed look, "I'd thank you not to do that again, Jason."

Peter

He froze halfway down the street from the coffee shop, panicked screams about a jaguar and a snake telling him that something was wrong. He pulled out his phone and hit speed-dial, contacting his boss again.

"Sir? We've got a problem. It's not just the jaguar here - at the least we've got a snake as well, but I'd hazard a few more. It might be a meeting between them or something, but you're going to need to send in a few more people."

"If I want anyone alive, you mean." Harper knew as well as Peter that the Hyena was probably better trained than anyone in that shop, although if it came to a real competition, Peter would have a hard time simply subduing them.

Checking that his gun was still holstered inside his jacket, he made his way to the cafe, walking in and disregarding the mess at one end of the room as though it were nothing out of the ordinary. Sitting down at a table though, he had already surveyed the room. The one he picked as the jaguar was apologising to the others, appearing embarrassed. One of the two teenagers working at the place was scolding the other one for what was probably some trivial transgression.

He picked up a menu and began to scan it, his hyena form beckoning to him. He felt like giving in to it soon, as well.

*Everyone met up at the shop, my guy lost control of his animal half, shifted and went on a rampage. He's now back in control of himself though. And a Shifter who works for the scientists is in the cafe watching us.*

Damien~

I fluttered my wings, still in my falcon form, nobody seemed to notice though and I slowly crept to the background.

The door needs to open! I need to get out of this closed in space! Too many people, not enough space. I knew the only way I was going to get out of here was if I shifted back, but now that I'd flown--I didn't [i]want[i/] to.

I backed up a bit more, wondering if there was a door in the back when a huge man got in my way.

Trent:

Trent grabed the bird softly and carried her back to the front door after setting her on his shoudler. "Don't leave." He said looking at her purposfully. "Now EVERYONE SHUT THE HELL UP AND TAKE A SEAT!" Everyone looked at him shocked, he'd been doing absolutly nothing the whole time, keeping his form through his surprise and everything.

"Why should we listen to you?" The otter demanded.

"CAuse I could eat you all for a snack." He growled back. Anger boiling inside of him. Everyone seemed to listen though. "Now, we're all together for a reason, least I think. I have a feeling none of y'all want to live here, you feel trapped. How about we all go down to Tennessee."

Peter

Taking out his phone, still apparently paying little attention to the shouts of some of the patrons. He began texting Mr. Harper, something that was discouraged due to the fact that they left a clear record, but it was necessary. They'd probably react badly to me calling him and telling him exactly what's going on.

Peter counted how many were listening intently to the large man and added the number to his text, listing it as the number of possible shifters, adding also that there might be something of interest in Tennessee. He knew that there'd probably be fewer than that, and people would just be inclined to pay attention to a shouting giant, but it paid to err on the safe side.

Of course, the safe side wasn't something Peter could stay on for too long. He rose and turned to the bear, drawing his pistol out and pointing it in his direction, "No one's going to Tennessee. No one's going anywhere. If anyone moves, or worse, shifts, I'll shoot."

Jason

Jason slumped back against the wall behind him and shook his head. This day just kept getting better and better. Hopefully the nut with the gun, whoever he was, didn't know Jason was a shifter. Either way, he seemed to be trouble for all of them, either he was connected to whatever had made them this way, or he just wanted them all dead because he was just another guy who thought they were an abomination.

Either way, staying put didn't seem like a good idea to Jason.

*As I mentioned before Shade's human form also has some jaguar traits. He has fangs and cats eyes. And in case no one knows, large cats, like leopards, jaguars, and even ocelots, are the natural born enemies of hyenas.*

Shade-

The Cat snarled in his head, echoed by Shade's own growl as his lips curled back. Exposing slightly elongated fangs. He knew his pale blue eyes had narrowed to slits too. In his human form his sense of smell was dulled, so he couldn't tell who or even what this guy was. But something about him just rubbed Shade the wrong way. It set the hackles of both the Cat and the man on edge. Then again, that could just be because the guy was pointing a gun at him.

Inside him the Cat lunged forward, trying to shift again. But this time Shade was ready for him and he slammed down on the Cat with iron control, temporarily chaining it. The Cat's instincts and abilities were useful but it just didn't understand the concept of human weaponry. This was a situation that called for human intellect, Shade couldn't afford the inner battle right now.

He tried to distract the gunman, smiling darkly, fangs flashing, he chuckled saying. "You know, this whole life and death thing. I'm starting to like it. One stupid mistake, and your pushing up daisies."

The gunman cocked his head to the side, and observed wryly. "Ain't no fun in playing if it ain't for keeps."

Shade shrugged. "Fighting is the biggest gamble you can ever take. 'Cause if you lose, you lose your life!" He lunged forward as he finished speaking and collided with the gunman. Shade heard the gun go off by his ear and hissed as he felt the bullet graze his shoulder, before embedding in the wall.

The boys grappled on the floor for an instant, neither shifting in case the other grabbed the gun. Before jumping apart to circle each other warily. The Cat yowled in back of his head, like it always did. But this time he heard it echoed by another animal, an animal who's voice sounded like eerie laughter. In shock, Shade stared at the other boy, who's own expression mirrored his own. "You're..." The boy started speaking.

"The same as me." Shade finished dully. Belatedly recognizing the same animal characteristics in the boy, that stared back at him when he looked in a mirror.

***Um, Trent's not shifted, so no one knows what he is yet.***

Trent growled as the gun went off. His first problem was to find the gun and get it out of the way. It wasn't to hardt o get ahold of sense the two were just staring at each other. He took the chance to grab the two by the necks and pull them up. That action got his chest scratched real bad and an unhumen growl left his throat. He tossed both of them against the wall.

"This is not the place to be shooting off a gun or anything else. Now, personally, I'm gone. THis is way to much fighting. If anyone wants to come, then come on, but I'm gone." He turned and started for the door pulling his jacket on so that the scratches on his chest would hide. He was going to make sure that he didn't have to explain the scratches that were burning like fire on his chest.

I glanced around the shop at all the shocked faces. I believed the huge guy. I mean, what are the chances that we'd all end up together like this? It must be for a reason. Plus, he could take care of himself pretty well. So as he began to leave, I glanced at Jason quickly before jumping over the counter and followed close behind him.

Besides, I wanted to get out of there before another gun got shot.
