Seeing as a lot of people want to join this storybook, I'll raise the count up to fifteen. I put the character limit at ten so people wouldn't get confused, but I guess that isn't working. *sigh*

Oh and Echelon, I know I didn't say it but I was hoping that people would be happy with 1 character. You can keep your two characters, but from now on the limit needs to be one character per so that anyone can post.

Here is the Discussion thread. Hopefully it works: post468611.html#468611

I know it is bad to double post and I'm sorry. TN, would you care if Trent and Heather got together later in the story?

Light_devil, you reckon Ballow could handle a relationship with Sarah? They seem like almost opposites

There are only 11 spots taken up so there is room for four more.

Okay, we're starting!

Heather-

I sat on the limb of a tree, the moon setting beauifully as the sun was coming up in the east. A gentle spring breeze glided by my face and ruffled my hair. These were mornings in which I loved. The mornings where I forget everything wrong that has happened. Unfortunately New York was not the best place to stay for a long period of peace. Even at night it was a blaring noise maker.

The breeze disappeared and car horns and alarms and shouting echoed in the distant Manhatten. I sighed and jumped down from the tree, letting my arms turn to wings and my hair turn to feathers. My eyes changed shape as did my face and I flew over the busy city.

No one I knew knew of my problem. No one knew of what I went through everyday. And as I flew over the uncaring citizens of New York City, I feel a want for someone to listen and understand. Someone to know.

...................

Okay this was very difficult to start, but we have! Yay!

Trent:

Trent walked down the streets of Manhatten and growled inwardly. When was he going to get out of here and go somewhere that he could shift and no one would scream blood murder.

Murder, a word that most don't ever think about. Murderers took my parents, I took their lives. Well more so my bear took their lives. He took a deep breath and kept walking after feeling a tremor of anger run through his body. He fought to gain control and won. He kept walking looking up at the sky and seeing a bird fly by. What I wouldn't give to shift into a bird. But if I was a bird I wouldn't have been able to revenge my parents murder. Not that I had much choice on the matter. He kept walking. He didn't remember how long he had been walking. Every day he walked, trying to figure out what he was going to do. Where he was going to go. The Cherokee National Forest soudned really nice to him. There was no hunting for bears in the forest and if he could get there he would be able to go to the National Forest and shift withouth worrying abotu being killed. It would be a long way to walk. It would take alot of time, that was a good four states away. And more miles then he thought he could walk. He didn't own a car, he didn't have much money, didn't have a job. That could all change if he just had somewhere he could shift often so he didn't have to worry about getting mad and killing someone.

He had figured out a while back that if he could just shift regularly he could keep control of his temper and shifting better. He turned a corner running smack into someone. He stepped back.

"Sorry." He said looking up at the person.

I watched my feet as I quietly walked along the crowded streets. The sound of sirens in the distance caused me to look up suddenly, not watching as I rounded a corner. I stopped dead in my tracks as I saw the firetruck I had heard speeding past me, I covered my ears.

Unaware of my surroundings due to an impending headache, I continued around a corner, only to get run into. I staggered backwards, surprised by the sudden impact. Looking up, a man towered over me, his cheeks red as he blushed, scratching his head.

"Sorry." He said quietly. I smiled and stretched out my hand.

"I'm Fayne, nice to meet you. You are?" I replied, attempting to make the situation a little less awkward.

Trent:

"It's Trent." He smiled taking her hand. "Sorry about running into you. I wasn't paying attention."

"That's fine, I wasn't either." She said looking towards the ground then looking back up at him and shrugging.

"You lived here long?" He asked.

"A little while, you?" She asked.

"Longer then I'd like." He laughed. "There's a coffee house around the corner, if you want to get out of the noise." He hadn't talked to anyone for a while, he wanted to be able to talk to someone. She seemed nice enough, not that he was going to be here much longer.

I nodded and smiled. For once, it felt as if I had run into an actual man, not just one of those excuses that treated women like they were just garbage. He seemed different to me, like he had some sort of power. Realizing that wasn't possible, I shrugged the feeling off and walked up to the counter with him.

Trent was already ordering, but I was too absorbed in trying to find my wallet that I didn't hear what he was saying. I dug my hands into all of my pockets, but found nothing. He looked back at me, slightly amused at the fact I was frantically trying to find my wallet. I blushed.

"I-I can't find my wallet." I said quietly. Trent just smiled at me, turning back towards the counter.

Trent:

"It's on me. Don't worry about it." He smiled.

"But..." She started.

"I insist." He smiled. "It's nice talking to someone that isn't a New York robot." He smiled. She ordered and then faced him.

"I'm surprised someone else feels the same I do about everyone else in this area." She smiled.

"I'm not a fan of it here. I want to head to Tennessee. Where there aren't so many people, and their real." He smiled. "LEss headaches that way too."

I smiled, pushing back a small feeling of panic. How did he know I had a headache? I looked around the coffee shop, the loud music irritation my over sensitive ears.

"Is that music too loud for you, too?" I asked Trent as I plugged on of my ears with a finger. He raised on eyebrow.

"What music?" He asked me in a semi concerned tone, picking up his drink from the counter. I did the same, taking a quick sip of the tea I had ordered. I gagged; it definately needed sugar.

Great, now he thinks I'm crazy. I looked back up at him and shrugged. "Must be hearing things." I said with a forced laugh. Once again, he smiled back at me. "Shall we sit?" He nodded, then sat down at a table close to the counter. I took a seat across from him. "Tennessee, huh?"

"Yeah, much better than being here." He said, taking a drink. I did the same, then began to run my fingers through my hair.

"I don't even know how I got to this place." I said, looking out the window. "The noises, the lights, it's like hell." I looked at Trent. He was smiling slightly.

Oh great, don't tell me I've scared him off already...
