Pippa:

Pippa looked at him confussed. What was he talking about. Why didn't he just come out and say it.

"Alright, I'm gonna go talk to her, then I want to talk to you and Billy later if he's still around." Tyrel said getting up and looked at Pippa. "Mind going and checking on one of the expecting mares?"

She knew that was his way of saying he wanted her to stay out of whatever was going on. She glared and then turned and walked out of the house to the barn. She didn't care if she was acting like a child. She was tired of being treated like one.

Tyrel:

Tyrel watched PIppa walked off anger imminating from her every step. I'll have to deal with her later He thought as he walked to the living room.

MATT

I caught sight of the small ranch just as Jade rode in. II had taken the wrong road coming out and so they had gotten here before me.

I was still wondering what Jade was doing here when I knocked on the door. I waited a couple of seconds and then the door was pulled open.

***Sorry I kinda lost interest in this for a little while. Can someone remind me where my character, Adrianne, is?***

Jade:

She got up quickly when Tyrel entered the room, concern etched on his face. Jade's mind flitted back to the conversation about Billy Cook and Jack's fast departure. Something was going on, she was sure, but it was none of her business.

"Hey, uh, I'm Jade," she said, suddenly a bit shy, "Jack said you might have some work available for me. I'm kind of in a pinch and was wonderin' if I could stay on for a while."

Tyrel:

Tyrel looked at the girl and nodded. "I'm sure we can find a place for one more person."

"Thanks, I can help with most anything." She said standing up. He crossed his arms and thought. Where could she work. She'd need to help, no doubt.

"What all can you do?" He asked.

Pippa:

Pippa walked back out of the barn to see some guy standing on the porch.

"Can I help you?" She asked walking over and crossing her arms a little.

Psst! Hey! Ayumi said I could join in. I promise I'll find an open place somehow! Here's my profile!

Name: Sadie Byrne (Outlaw)

Age: 18

Race: Irish

Gender: Female

Appearance: Vivacious copper curls that cascade of her shoulders. She has fair skin, without any blemishes. She has a small mole, just above the left side of her lips. She has gray eyes that are usually narrowed with suspicion. She always has poppy-red lipstick on. She wears mostly a common brown dress, but underneath has a suade fringed jacket, and chaps. She always wears her black stetson with a heart, and has a red bandana around her neck, which is sometimes pulled up over her nose.

Personality: Sarcastic, observant. She is the kind of person to trust, because she will not betray you (unless you betray her). She usually has her eyes narowed in suspicion when she meets a new person, her thin eyebrow cocked up. She does not trust people too easily.

Skill(s): Can rope a cattle without missing on first try! XD She is also pretty handy on horseback.

Reason(s) for Heading West: She was going to be married off to a man she hated and had never met before. He was twenty years older than her. So she ran off to the west, to build a new life. However, she was treated poorly, being a woman, and committed a few crimes... and became an outlaw. (Ever hear of Kissin' Kate? You know, in Holes? I've seen the movie. She is based a bit upon her.)

Other: She is up for love. Like "Kissin' Kate" she has her bullets engraved with a heart and her initials in them. She has a gun that matches. She rides a gorgeous dark bay overo Mustang that she calls Comanche. http://www.loghollow.com/Herk%20Conf%209-07.jpg

I think that's all I can mention, really. Character will probably develop during writing.

PIppa;

"Um, my name is Matt, I'm looking for someone named Tyrel."

"He's inside talking to someone." She replied.

"I have a feeling it might take a while." Adrianne said walking out of the house.

Jade:

She thought for a moment. Back at home she had handled a lot of the outside chores and the animals.
"Well," she said, "I'm pretty good outside; you know, doin' odd jobs and such. I'm not to bad with the horses and livestock either, but I assume ya already got someone with them."

Suddenly, a barking from outside interuppted them. Jade gasped; she knew that bark.
"Grant," she muttered, quickly running outside on the porch. To her surprise, she found Matt there, apparently talking with Pippa. Grant had Pippa pinned against the wall, eyes wide. Matt was laughing hysterically at the expression on her face.

"Well don't just stand there!" Pippa snapped. "Get this thing away from me!" Embarrased, Jade grabbed Grant by the collar and turned toward the house to find Tyrel leaning against the door frame.

"That yours?" he asked, a small smile playing on his lips. Jade grinned sheepishly.
"Yessir," she said. "He can stay in the barn if you don't want him in the house." Behind her, she heard Matt still quietly snickering, and out of the corner of her eye she saw Pippa straighten her dress and toss her hair.

She looked at Pippa.
"Sorry 'bout that," she said. "He's just sayin' hi." She turned her nose up looked away.
Jade looked at Tyrel and raised her eyebrows. He just shrugged.
"So can I keep the dog in the house?" she asked.
