So...It's after the Civil War, the West is open for settlement, and you have the chance to go. But what do you do? Hit a boom town and start a business, become a cowhand, or become an outlaw?

In this storybook, you can be anything human: white, black, Spanish, Oriental, Indian, European, you name it. You can even be mixed or an immigrant. But you have to be out West.

But please remember: this is based in the late 1860's and early 1870's, right after the American Civil War. Prejudices are abundant, but you can choose: prejudiced or not? And if you are prejudiced, explain what your prejudices are and why you have them. You also have the option of unlearning prejudice as you interact with other characters.

Same rules as always.
1. No killing others off without permission.
2. Keep the story realistic as possible, considering it is a historical fiction.
3. If there any fight/love scenes, keep them age appropriate (Please! Let's not forget there are twelve- and thirteen-year-old people on this site!)
4. No God-modding.
5. No more than two characters, please.
6. Have fun!

Here is my profile:

Name: Jack Stanley

Age: 19

Race: White

Gender: Male

Appearance: A little over six foot, with longish, wavy brown hair, green eyes. He wears jeans and a button-up white shirt with an overcoat. He carries a pair of pistols with him at all times.

Personality: He's a joker, both towards his friends and his enemies, although he likes to think he has more of the latter.

Skill(s): He can ride, but not incredibly well, and he's a good shot. His greatest skill lies in his intellect, though, and can think his way out of most situations.

Reason(s) for Heading West: He fought in the war as a Confederate soldier, but not because he believed in slavery, rather because he felt it was the Union's attempt to take their land. However, his family felt otherwise, and when slavery was ended, they blamed their ensuing trouble on Jack and more or less cast him out of the family. He went West because he heard there was always work to be had there, and he needed work.

Other: Up for love. He has a chestnut horse called Maverick.

Adriane

You could say I was just daydreaming, while Ciraco cantered across the ridge. We had come out west a month ago, just riding and looking for a place to make a stake.

Not too much luck, yet... I hadn't even seen a town yet.

But over the next rise, down the hill, and by the river. There were horses in a paddock, a dust road crossing through a small collection of buildings. People were walking around, talking and socializing.

A town at last.

Tyrel turned Buck down mainstreet and stopped in front of the general store. He was already annoyed of the towns people. They were already starting to get on his nerves. He was one of the only bachalors in the town and every mother had his picked for their daughters. He dismounted tying Buck to the hitching post and walked inside.

"Mr. Sackett!" Mrs. Bells called walking over. "How are you doing today? It's been a while sense you came into town."

"Yes, Ma'am. I've been busy out at the ranch. I've sent the hands in to get supplies." he replied smiling at her.

"Well, you need to come by the house and have dinner tonight. It's about time you got some homecooking." She smiled.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Bell, but I need to get back to the ranch." He replied apologetically.

"I'm sure they will survive without you for a few more hours. Your coming to dinner." She turned and left the general store and he frowned shaking his head. WHat was he getting himself into!

Jack Stanley

"I'm sure they'll survive without you for a few more hours. You're coming to dinner." The words floated out of the general store a moment before Mrs. Bells walked out, smiling at Jack for a moment before she went on her way down the main street.

He shook his head - he might have been out of town for some time, but it didn't look like anything had changed in his absence.

Already knowing who she'd been talking to, Jack pushed open the door and stepped inside, grinning, "Tyrel Sackett. It's been a while, hasn't it? She still trying to get you to marry her daughter?"

Georgia & Jude Lawson

Georgia awoke somewhat early that morning to find herself in the small inn room she and her little sister had been having to makeshift into a small home. It had defenitly not been something she was used to, because she'd always been one of those spoiled rotten 'Southern Bells'. But, she was having to change now for the sake of her little sister, Jude.

After taking a bit to get dressed she wrote a quick note to Jude, letting her know she was out into the town to find work. Now, Georgia walked through the tiny, western town looking at buildings that looked interesting.

"S'cuse me ma'am" asks someone behind Georgia.

*can someone start up a conversation with Georgia?*

Tyrel:

Tyrel smiled and laughed. "Of course, ever sense you decided to move I get all the dinner requests." He smiled.

"You don't look like it." Jake replied as they shook hands.

"Ya, that's cause I avoid being here as often as I can." He replied. "Hands are really good at coming out here and getting stuff for me."

*Short, sorry*
