Layton gripped the fabric of Chevy's shirt tightly, her face burried within his chest as she sobbed. It felt good to be comforted by someone other that Tanner or her brother. They were the only two that actually new what happened to her on her eleventh grade prom night. Chevy could be trusted. Layton could feel that now. She looked him in the eyes, tears still falling down her face, and sent him the dream she'd had.

Once Leal had fallen asleep Tanner picked her up and pulled her into his lap, wrapping his arms around her protectively as he drifted off to sleep himself.

***This might be my only post tonight, I'm going to a party. bleh***

Chevy tensed in anger as he watched the scene unfold in his head. When it was over he looked down at her.

"I'm sorry." he whispered.

"Not your fault." She sighed and laid her head on his chest.

"But that shouldn't have happened to you. I can guarentee that if he ever comes around here I will personally beat him to a pulp." He kissed the top of her head and held her close.

"That's comforting." She giggled. He smiled and lifted her head up.

"Can I try something?" He asked. She nodded and he lowered his lips down to her's kissing her.

Leal fought the nightmare of when she went to the wrong side of the reservation. They kept coming.

Wake up, they'll go away. Bear groaned in her head. I'm tired of seeing them. She opened her eyes and sat up looking at Tanner who had drifted to sleep. She looked over his face, his strong shoulders, and chest. She looked back up at his face and her face reddened she found him looking he rin the eyes smirking a little.

"Likeing the veiw?" He chuckled. She punched him in the chest and then laid back down in his arms.

"A little." She smiled. "Not that there is much to veiw."

"HEY!" He growled ticking her stomach. She wiggled trying to get free as she laughed.

"Ok, ok! I give." She giggled.

When Chevy kissed her it was almost as if fireworks set off around her. Sappy, yes, but that's what it felt like. Layton slid her arm around his neck and pressed her body against his, deepening the kiss. She pulled away, a deep blush across her face. "Sorry," she said quickly, lowering her head in embarassment.

Tanner laughed deeply, eyes glittering in humor. He glanced at Leal's lips, soon finding himself pressed against her, lips on hers.

Chevy lifted her chiin up again. "I'm the one that kissed you, your not the one that is supposed to say sorry." He smiled tapping her lip with his finger. "Don't say sorry." He kissed her lips softly and then pulled back.

"But..." She started.

"I liked it." He smiled.

Leal pushed into the kiss her body reacting before she told it to. She wrapped her arm around his neck and ran her fingers in his hair pulling him closer. She didn't understand half the feelings running through her. She just did what her body wanted, pulling him close and leaning in the kiss. When they puleld apart she breathed out,

"Wow." She whispered.

"Your tellin me, how'd you get to be such a damn good kisser." He smiled.

"I wouldn't know." She laughed and then kissed him again, this one short.

Something inside Tanner pushed him forward, making him lock lips with Leal and lay her backwards on the couch. He smiled in the kiss, which turned into a full make-out session. He'd completely forgot about Chevy and Layton at the time.

Layton laughed lightly and snuggled close to Chevy's chest, breathing in the smell of him. "Me too," she smiled, pecking him on the corner of his mouth. She began to laugh as he lifted her off the ground and carried her into the living room, ignoring the two that were making out heatedly on the couch at first.

Leal pushed into the kiss more not hearing Chevy walk in.

"Guess it is possible to imprint on someone that can't shift." Chevy said clearing his throat. She pulled away her cheeks red.

"Ya ya ya." She laughed leanging against Chevy.

Chevy smiled and pulled Layton close kissing her cheek and then nuzzling his face in her hair.

**Sorry I was at my grandparents until noon and got home at like three. I could only post on one story and then i had to get off for six hours so i could spend christmas with my mom, dad, and sis.**

Layton laughed lightly and set her head on Chevy's shoulder, smiling lightly. "Oh ho ho," Tanner started, only to be cut off with a smart remark from Layton.

"What are you trying to do? Be Santa Clause?" She smiled widely and was suddenly yanked away from a lightly laughing Chevy.

"Eh, not for another six months. Then again, your brother might just take that role over again." Layton's eyes widened and she began to laugh, remembering last year when her brother, Landon, dressed up as Santa Clause and jumped down the chimney, only to be shot in the butt by her father with a rock salt gun. Layton dropped in front of the television, still laughing, and searched through her video tapes, pulling the one from last year out. Tanner was laughing as well, but took the tape and plopped it in. Both of them sat back in their spots, eurupting into barking laughed right when the tape began.

Chevy:

Chevy joined in on hte laughter when it started and then Leal did.

"That's your brother?" He asked with a smile.

"Yup, that's him." Layton laughed.

"He's so funny!" Leal laughed.

"He's just a dork. My mom was sobbing as you can see," she pointed at the screen, "and Landon looks like he's doing so breakdancing here." Landon was screaming like a little girl and spinning on the floor. "Salt and Pepper, my mom and dad's scotties, were chasing him around and ripping all the cotton that we put in the suit out. The funniest thing though was my Tanner. He had been chugging one of my dad's old sodas and it came out of his nose." On the movie Tanner had joined in with Landon's screaming but was holding his nose, "And... I was in the hospital at the time so my parents taped all of christmas eve for me."

"Ooh! Remember the mashpotatoes that we brought you?!" The movie was over.

"Oh god yes!" I rolled my eyes. "Landon spiked my mom's ketchup patotoes, which are better than they sound, with hot sauce. Geez did that light me up. I got my share of Christmas pain that day." Tanner frowned at Layton and sighed deeply. "Oh yeah! The week after Christmas I was finally able to come home, so as payback I smothered Landon in steak sauce while he was asleep. Weeeell, the neighbors bred rottweilers so the second Landon ran out to tell my mom and dad on me, like the baby he was... no... still is, he had ten rotties on his ass and two scotties. They chased him for about a mile and Salt and Pepper tripped him. All the dogs did though was lick him so he felt like the biggest idiot in front of not only his family, but his girl as well." By now Tanner was done with his frowning and was rolling back and forth on the couch lauging.

Tanner suddenly stood up, causing everyone to stop laughing. "No you don't. I mean sure, Christmases like this were fun for us every now and then, but someone, doesn't matter who, mentions the one person who's missing out and everything goes bad. I mean... you mention the one person who's in the hospital because of what some damn guy did to her and wabam! All the fun and laughter is gone! Like something sucked the joy out of everyone when that hospitalized person's name is mentioned. But, did that hospitalized person ever once think about her own joy? No! She wanted to make sure everyone else was happy while she get someone's initials carved into them like they're a tree and ra-" Layton slapped her hand over Tanner's mouth and gave him death glares.

I swear to God that if you finish that sentence I'll rip your head off in front of everyone. Layton sent the mental message to him as she shoved him back onto the couch. She could almost feel cold metal dig into her chest and arm. She put her arm at her side and stood stalk still, fists balled up and all the muscles in her body tightened. She finally took a calm breath and walked back to the love seat, leaning against the arm of it with her fingers running over Naji's head absentmindedly.

Chevy took a breath. What was he talking about?

"I guess so. I just know we've never even had a happy christmas here." He shrugged. "You didn't need to get mad."

Leal:

Leal sat next to Tanner. She didn't know what to do. "WHose up for a run or something? " She asked. "Preferably something I can do sense you can all shift and everything."

Tanner and Layton glared at each other and looked back at their respected spots, Tanner's being Leal and Layton's being the swirly black designs on her couch. "I'm not going if the freak's going," Layton spat angrily at Tanner, who growled lowly at her, shifting into a lion and lunging at Layton, who had shifted into a lion herself just in time to dodge his attack.

Last time I checked I'm not the one with TJR carved into my chest and arm. Layton snarled ferociously at him and lunged, sinking her teeth into the top of his neck, only to be shaken off.

What I have 'carved' into me is none of your concern! She snapped.

It was my concern when I found you in the hotel room the next morning with your dress in shreds. Layton dug her claws into the thick red carpet and lunged again, this time digging her claws into his flank.

Naji and Tanner's guardian (whom I forgot's name) watched with pride flickering in their eyes. They growled at Chevy and Leal shortly, sending them a warning to stay out of it and that it happened a lot.

Layton and Tanner both fell to the ground, breathing hard while they dug their teeth into each other's tail, snarls emitting from their chest.

Leal curled up and watched him closing her eyes and yawning. "Would you too just hurry up and finish fighting?" She asked. "I'm bored."

She got a few snarls for that. She could tell Chey was fighing to stay out of it and not fight to defend Layotn.

Layton let go of Tanner's tail and swatted her paw -no claws included- across his nose, making him let go of her tail. She stalked out of the room and into her own, taking a quick shower and changing into a pair of jeans, a tight black Pon and Zi t-shirt that read, "Falling Fast For You" and a pair of black etnies. She dried her hair without straightening it, which made it all wavy, and put it in a low ponytail, sighing at all the cuts on her arm. She patched herself up and walked back out into the living room, chucking a first aide kit at a fully dressed Tanner, who was patting his hair down. The box hit him in the face, which cause everyone to begin laughing.
