*You spelled it right! :)*

I smiled widely at his kind comment. Nobody ever said anything nice to me while I was on one of my "missions", so to speak.

So, he didn't remember anything. Well, either he was a drunk, which seemed highly unlikely, or maybe he has some memory loss due to a hit on the head. I couldn't be sure, because there were a million reasonable answers. I just decided to tell him my theories,

"Have you been drinking? Did you get into a fight?", I asked.

"No, no. Nothing like that. I don't remember any of it.", Daniel shook his head. He looked up directly into my eyes.

"Wait, so you blacked out?", I questioned. The only time that had ever happened was to me when I had turned into an... angel.

"All I remember is waking up on cloud 9." I smiled. "I don't remember last night and I just cut myself on the cement and it didn't hurt and no blood came out. I'm starting to wonder if sometime is wrong with me." I said.

"Nothing's wrong with you." She said. "Your an angel." She whispered.

"Thanks... wait... excuse me?" I said.

How could I explain this to a newbie? Hmmm....

"Okay, so you see, your not human anymore. You serve something much larger, or that's at least what I think, unless you turn evil." I looked at him smiling. He looked extremely confused.

"Do you mean I could jump off this building and fly off?"

"Of course not," I laughed, "Do you see any wings?" I laughed even harder when Daniel tried to look behind him and ended up running in circles trying to see if he had miraculously sprouted wings. He finally realized what he was doing and seemed embarrassed. He walked over to the ledge, sat down, and asked,

"Well, if I am an angel, why can't I fly?", he looked up at me curiously.

"It's not that simple. An angel needs to earn their wings.", I stated.

"I didn't sign up for this." I said.

"No one did." She shook her head.

"Well, hell." I said, well if I was going to spend the rest of my life.... wait.... did I even have a life?

"Am I dead?" I said. "I can't be dead. Can I?"

She shrugged.

"I mean, I know who my friends and family are, but can I ever see them?" I asked.

She shook her head. "No, you can see them, but they won't be able to see you." She said.

"Well, this sucks. So what CAN I do?" I said. Maybe I was crazy, maybe she was crazy. Ugghhhghgh so confusing.

**PandaBear528- I'll do it with you. I only have one character so far. I can be the boy or girl.**

"You can help people, at least that's what I do.", I was smiling to myself. I finally knew someone like me.

"Help people?", Daniel looked very confused.

"Yeah, like I just helped you.", I smiled to him, but he didn't seem cheered. I felt sad that I was the one that had to tell him, but I suppose it's fate.

"But what do I do now?", he asked. I thought this over carefully. What should he do? I was trying to remember back to what I had done. It was more than 150 years ago, so I didn't really remember it clearly. I gazed into his sky-blue eyes as I thought myself.

"Nothing. You need to forget you old life. The sooner you forget the easier it will be on you. I'm 178 years old and I mourned over my old life for the first 50 years. It's tough, but at least you have me.", I said this seriously to him. He seemed even more confused. He turned his head so he looked over the ledge. It was then that I spotted something on his neck.

"Hey, where did you get that tattoo?"

I didn't have a tattoo, what was she looking at? I wondered, then I felt tender flesh on my neck. I looked down at a puddle of water and saw it.

"It's not a tattoo." I said truthfully. "I remembered what happened. A gang ran into me last night, I thold them to watch where they were going, they started trash talking me, then we got into a physical fight, one of them had a girlfriend, and she had long very long fake nails, while all four of them held me down she clawed my neck...And when I woke up I was... here." I looked down at her. "Does that mean they killed me?" I asked.

"I don't know. I think so, but I'm not sure. You are dead, though.", I shrugged. I remember I had died from a fever or disease when I was 17. I had never seen a tattoo on an angel.

"I'm sorry you died that way.", Daniel seemed to be taking all this in. He was doing better than I had when I found out.

"So I'm dead. Why am I an angel?", he looked at me questioningly.

"I don't know. Why do they give us wings? I don't know everything in our world. I really haven't seen an angel in New York yet. I've seen plenty of demons, but no angels."

"Demons? What are they?"

"A menace flying the skies. They are similar to angels, but they are evil. I don't even think they have a soul.", I spat.

"What happens to them?", Daniel asked as his brows furrowed.

"Well, I don't know for sure but I think they were once angels. You know how you need to earn your wings? I think they wanted their wings so badly that they traded their soul to the Devil to get wings." Daniel looked surprised.

*Okay, I shall try and represent her well*

Maeve

"Thanks," she said, rolling her eyes, "I'll keep that in mind." She didn't say anything for a moment, thinking.

"How can you stand being so nice all the time?" She spat out the word like it was something rotten.

Angel bit back a chuckle and said lightly, "You say that like it's a bad thing. You should try it sometime, though I'm beginning to wonder if you even have it in you."

"Oh, I have it in me to do a good deed, despite what you may think, but then I have to do something just as bad to stop that," she shivered in mock revulsion, "warm cuddly feeling."

There was a silence between them again and that's when Maeve realized something. "Hey, you still haven't told me why you're here," she said, curious.

**Angel's kind of mean and stuck up, but she'll warm up.**

Angel

"I'm here, because YOUR exposing all of us little missy." I said glaring at her.

"I'M exposing everyone?!" She yelled outraged a couple of guys at the bar turned to look at us.

I raised an eyebrow, soo now she saw my point. "What the hell are you looking at." I growled at the men, they turned back to their drinks. I looked back at her, I moved my marilyn Monroe piercing (above my lip but below my nose) around with my tongue, from the inside. I was getting really irratated.

"I know what demons are, I just, didn't think they exsisted. So what does magic exsist too?" I said looking at her.

"I don't really know that for myself." She said.

Ballow

Ballow pulled two cokes from the fridge instead of beers, figuring that he didn't want the guy tipsy when he told him what he wanted.

Walking back he placed one into his hand and sat down on a seat opposing his. They both sat there in silence for a while, sipping their cokes. An unknown expression adorned Kyle's face and Ballow just stared at him.

"You gonna tell me?"Ballow suddenly asked as Kyle took a sip of coke.

"Tell you what?" was his fake-ignorant reply.

"You know what." Ballow said back begining to get frustrated.

Kyle smiled, "No, I don't believe I do. Indulge me."

Ballow let out an exapserated sigh, "Why are demons so cold to me? I am one of them!"

Kyle stared at him still with that unknown expression and Ballow waited patiently for an answer.

Maeve

She lowered her voice to whisper, anger building inside for giving Angel a semi-valid point. "So? Everyone raises their voice in public, it's not a big deal. Those humans are so brain-dead from drinking they probably assumed I was talking about a nude pillow fight we were having later."

She flicked a red strand of hair out of her eyes. One eyebrow arched slightly, challenging her to disagree.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
