Altstruck:

He was getting mad at this human, who did he think he was. Altstruck threw the girl away.
He Spread his wings onse again and let out a hoarse growl. "Puny mortal. How dare you compare me to a goblin!" He let his cloack come off under the cloack was a body of a dragon, his face turned silver and the smile faded.

He inhaled and exhaled a burst of black fire.
Jacob barely made away in time.

"Shall the dark fires of hell burn you!" Altstruck shouthed and as soon as he had Jacob was surrounded by a circle of black fire.

Jacob Lambert

He moved instinctively to the centre of the flames, before another jet of black fire from the dragon forced him to the side. He began moving erratically around the circle, searching for a way out even as he dodged the fire that was being rained down on him.

The girl was pushing herself to her feet, and Jacob had to yell to make himself heard over another gout of fire from the dragon's maw, "Run! Get help!"

He turned his attention back to the dragon before even checking to make sure she had gone for help, wondering for a moment if aggravating the beast further might be a little foolish. He dismissed the thought, things couldn't possibly get any worse than this, "Oh yeah, that's really going to get you a reputation as a great and powerful monster. So afraid of a human that you have to trap him in a circle of fire and spit at him in order to beat him. Fight like a man, not a pixie." He laughed.

Altstruck:

He bellowed angrily "Boy! Pixies do not fight."

He let the fire die out, and changed his form. He looked human. only that his eyes were red.

The area around them was echoing of dark sounds. The ground turned blood red.

it started raining, the drops were black. He took a step closer to Jacob.

He rose his hand and said a few words, Jacob tried to run but his legs were tied down by the blood red ground.

Altstruck walked to him he raised his hand, a sword materialized on it. He was about to it, when something came out from the ground.

It was on a horse and it carried a scythe. It was dead, or looked like it. It had a a hat.

It spoke: "Leave demon." it said.

"The guardian! So I was close."

He turned once again to a dragon and flew away.

The guardian of the gate turned to Jacob.

**Sorry, I'm kind of late coming in here so just bare with me :?**

Yamari

Her chest constricted and she nearly lost her composure, gripping the wooden cup in her hand until her knuckles turned white. She could feel him, his anger, his hate. The demon was a great distance from here, too far away for her to hunt. His thoughts were deranged; it seemed that he was being taunted, laughed at.

But what person would dare taunt a demon such as Altrusck?

She had heard many stories about him, about his dragon figure. Many of her fellow demon hunters didn’t dare try to capture him. He was one of the few that she steered clear of. Another spasm of pain hit her squarely and she gritted her teeth against it. Very rarely did the demon’s emotions get so powerful as to do physical harm to her.

But Altrusck’s rage was growing by the second, and she feared that she might have to abandon the pub she was in to avoid curious glances.

“You okay, miss?” a rough-looking human male asked, eyes intent upon her form. He had a select few tattoos inked upon his flesh, many depicting ancient symbols of the forgotten realm. Many humans didn’t have the knowledge or the respect to understand the Ancestors and their neglected language.

She glanced up at him in interest. “Yes, I’m fine,” she managed to utter before her back tensed as if needles were repeatedly sticking into her spine. She forced a smile, and pushed herself up from the chair she had resided in. The man nodded his head towards her before returning back to the conversation he was in with another male human.

Ignoring them both, she made her way across the dirt floor towards the door. But not before she sensed the tattooed male’s eyes on her again. Turning her head slightly, she used her peripheral vision to get a good look at him.

Indeed, his eyes were following her every move, and she didn’t miss his companion’s stares as well, his hood drawn. The companion turned his head slightly, and she was able to catch a glimpse of his face.

It rooted her to the spot, and the breath caught in her throat.

Ballow

Ankou:

The Ankou looked at Jacob from his horse.

"Greetings, sir knight." He lifted his hat so that Jacob could see his dead head. "What brings you here this night?"

Jacob looked at him, slightly bewildered.

"Who are you?" Jacob asked.

"Oh, my manners, I am an Ankou, I am the keeper of the gate. You may call me the guardian, or just Ankou." He turned around and looked to the trees "And you spirit come out."

Billy I brought in your other charachter as well.***

Altstruck:

The Guardian was not someone you attacked head on, he was old, older than Altsruck, not much older but still.

He wasn't weak either, but there had to be a way to get past him to the power behind the gate. There must be a way.

This was something that even Altstruck needed help in. He had to find someone. But who?

He searched in his mind for a power until!

Ballow! This was perfect. He smiled.

The winds picked up and my long hair blew swiftly across my face. I looked down on top of the mountain and over the hills. They were beautiful and so vast you could see for miles. It was warm and the wind carried a sweet smell of newly blossomed flowers on the wind. This was a peaceful place, but my peace was always interrupted.

"Miss, there seems to be a demon within the Forrest. Maybe we should steer clear of it for now? Perhaps take a safer route?", the guide seemed nervous and eager to leave.

"You mean slower route? I wish to be in my homeland as soon as possible. I cannot stop if a demon decides to have a fit of rage, because that's not my problem. I only wish to be safe inside my own home. He will not touch us, I assure you. Now we must trek onward if we wish to be through the woods before the sun sets."

"As you wish, miss." The small guide was nervous, but wanted to be paid. He started his descent down the mountain. I felt so old for someone so young. I was responsible for the order and balance of the lands, but it felt like a huge weight on my shoulders. I had no one to share the burden and I knew I would never wish it upon anyone. It was simply too much for one person.

--------

Maddelin

I heard an animal or demon of some sort through the woods. I spotted him through the woods and looked to be leaving. Good, I thought. I hated demons. I enjoyed playing with humans much more. I flew over to where the demon had left and found a human man sprawled across the forest floor with blood soaking through the earth. The guardian of the gate was advancing upon him and he looked like he could . I licked my nails that had venom flowing through them. To me it tasted sickeningly sweet, but to anyone else it would taste like death. I smiled wickedly and then flew over towards the scene to watch. I wondered if the guardian was going to make this fun to watch and if not I may just step in to finish the job. Actually, it looked like I may be doing him a favor, because he looked to be greeting death. I sighed with longing to kill and flew to the nearest branch to watch.

(I hope this is ok)

**By the looks of it, the only thing special about them is that they was almost killed. That would explain Ankou and Louis. As for everyone else seeming to close in on the area, they look like they either want to watch a couple of humans die, or they're after Alstruck.**

Jacob Lambert

He managed to sit up with some effort, wincing against the pain. I think my arm might be broken... He gave the creature standing over him a bemused look, "Who are you?"

"Oh, my manners," The newcomer replied, "I am an Ankou, I am the keeper of the gate. You may call me the guardian, or just Ankou." He turned for a moment to call out to something beyond Jacob's line of sight, "And you spirit come out."

After a moment, another boy emerged. In appearance, he was not as unsettling as the guardian, but the same kind of aura seemed to hang around him. He had a shovel slung over one shoulder.

These two didn't manage to hold Jacob's attention for long, though, and after a moment he looked to the girl. She had collapsed on the forest floor after the demon had released her, one arm stretched towards him. He reached out and took her wrist, feeling for a pulse.

Louis Carrefour

Seeing the human reach out to his companion, Louis felt the need to make sure she was alive. His irises glowed for a moment, then he knew. She was badly hurt, but it was only temporary, she would recover soon, with a little healing. Granted, his power wasn't strong enough to bring her back to full strength in a single go, but perhaps this guardian held that kind of magic.

He cleared his throat, "She lives, human."

The knight looked up, meeting Louis' eyes for a moment, then turned his attention back to the girl with a muttered, "Thankyou."

The Ghede tilted his head a little, regarding the guardian, "You said you are an Ankou, yes?"

The guardian nodded.

Louis smiled, "Well, that makes our jobs rather similar, doesn't it?"

Maddelin:

I could smell their hearts beat as one. I watched from a nearby tree as the two companions embraced. I grimaced at the sight. Nothing earthly could grant me such joy.

I then decided to leave. Weak humans were not worth my time, so I flew over the tree-tops and into the sky. Wind blew in my face and blonde hair flew everywhere. It was then that I caught the scent of the demon. Alstruck.

Candra:

It was dark in Glowingtown when I returned. The Forrest was an easy journey with no delay, so I was home early and how happy I was. There was not anyone to greet me, as always. My life had no-one else but me and I was afraid that may always be so. I entered my small, yet modest home and went to hang up my sweater, but saw a figure on the floor in the corner of my eye. It was dead and I could smell wreaking blood.

I rushed over to the person in terror. It was one of my servant girls and her head had been smashed and broken. Her limbs were twisted and her hair was soaked and matted with blood. It was fresh, too. I put my hand over my mouth and turned away, becoming dizzy. Who would do such a thing?

Then I heard something behind me. And it was breathing. I could feel hot breath against my neck that sent shivers down my spine. It was a demon.

Jacob Lambert

He smiled down at her, recognising the flirt for what it was immediately. Still, he barely knew this girl, and no matter how pretty she was, he judged that it was probably best to at least know her name before flirting. "I'm Jacob."

"Apollo." She replied, eyes remaining fixed on his.

"nice name" he said as he smiled,
He had release Apollo's power, her beauty.
She was a complete flirt but most of the time she had reason too.

"oh..will you too stop it!!" said a good looking man named Louis.

"stop what?" jacob asked

He let out another laugh, despite his words it was clear that he was happy to see something other than death for once. Mortal happiness never ceased to fascinate him, how could they manage it when they were constantly moving towards a certain death? He always felt an empathy with them, though, and he was glad neither of these two had been killed by the demon that had left moments before the Ankou had sensed his presence.

"Stop what?" Jacob asked again.

Louis simply raised an eyebrow, "I'm not as young as I might look, Jacob. I know exactly what you two are doing. And you might show enough common courtesy to save all this for later, given that the demon could come back at any moment."

Apollo giggled and looked back at Jacob,

"later?" Jacob asked like he didnt understand,

He was so cute, yet his accent and his clothes said other wise, he looked like a knight dressed in armor, ready for any fight.

(Eeep, can someone bring in my character?)*EDITED

(ARGHH! I'm sorry I didn't see ashleylee's post. And yes a history is fine, PM me and we'll figure something out)

Ballow

Ballow's hood fell slightly and he noticed the girl who was gazing at him. He stared at her for a second and thne smiled - it was one of his demonic smiles which either froze people to a spot or made them flinch away.

The girl was frozen and his smile widened, "Ahh, Yamari, it's been a while hasn't it?"

Yamari swallowed and Ballow let his smile go, she took a wobbly step backwards and he steadied her, "You still after me?"

She narrowed her eyes at him and flicked his hand off of her shoulder, "No. I'm leaving."

He smiled and licked one of his canine teeth, then pouted, "Leaving already, old pal?"

"Pal" had been said with a tone of mockingness an it slightly irritated Yamari.

She stared him down for a second and Ballow calmly stared back, "You have something you want to say?"

"Alstruck is here and he's angry or in trouble." was her only reply.

Ballow bit his lower lip in consideration, he knew this of course but he had been delaying helping him, because it wasn't part of his mission.

Letting out a breath of air he sighed onto Yamari and she winced slightly. Waving a hand in front of her face with a sour look she asked, "What have you been eating?"

With a chuckle and a slow glance out the window towards the stable where horses were kept, he replied, "Guess?"

Yamari supressed a dry retch and closed her eyes for a second, "I'm good."

Ballow waved a hand in front of his mouth faking a yawn, he was growing bored.

Smiling at her a sudden thought struck him, "You wanna have a little action?"

A suspicious slash disgusted look shadowed her face for a second and Ballow caught the meaning she must have picked up.

Holding back a fit of laughter, "No, not what you might have been thinking. Nothing like that. You know Alstruck - he wants a hand. You in for helping?"

She considered it for a second before replying, "Whats in it for me?"

Ballow rolled his eyes, "You can see just how strong Alstruck is. Then if he's weak enough you can "hunt" him if you want. By all means if attacking a weakened opponent is what you want."

She growled but nodded and Ballow smiled which Yamari flinched away from, "And stop doing that!"

His smile turned into a grin a she walked out. He cast a look at the companion he was sitting with a riased an eyebrow, "You good to stay?"

Ballow's companion replied, "Yeah, sure whatever. Have some fun and bring back a chicken."

Ballow shook his head and walked out with an amused smile and Yamari followed him.
