Erika:

Erika sighed. She stopped before they went into the cafeteria. She looked up at him, and smiled a sad smile.

"Can I tell you later? It's a really long story." He nodded and they procedded into the cafeteria. She went straight to the salad line. He looked at her, a little shocked.

"What?" she asked, pausing before picking up her plate. He shook his head.

"Nothing, I just don't see you as the type of person eating salads." she shrugged.

"It doesn't bother me. I'm used to eatign salads. Besides it's lunch. I love vegetables." she smiled and proceeded through the line. Markus followed her, hesitanly getting what she got. Seh looked back at him and grinned. "You know you can get what you want." he nodded and stuck a carrot in his mouth. She laughed. They walked over to table by teh window and sat down. She smiled at him before dippign a carrot in ranch and biting it. He smiled adn did the same. Seh laughed, as did he.

"Your copying me." he smiled.

"Yep." she laughed and threw a carrot at him.

*I'm going to ask someone to take my other boy character and then maybe we can continue this. We just need some dedication! :D I'm going to add some drama.*

I was sitting with Taylor Erika eating slowly. Erika and Markus were sitting together at our right and Liz and Andrew were to our left. He was so tall and lanky he had to bend over to reach his food. Taylor had gotten us both some spice soup and bread, but I really wasn't focused on the soup.

Someone tapped me on my shoulder and I turned around to be stunned into silence. It was one of the Authorities on campus and the tall, muscular man was holding Arabella by the collar.

"Does this happen to be your friend?" the man asked with a husky voice. What were you supposed to say when the world seemed to crumble beneath you?

"I know her. She's one of the fourteens, right?" Lizzy piped up. I would have to tell her how grateful I was later. Arabella looked scared stiff as the officer shook her in front of my face. It was either the RSS or my best friend.

erika:

Erika stared in horror at the scene before her. Arabella looked scared stiff. she had to do something, but she didn't know whjat to do. Markus was looking, his expression calm, but his fists were clenched tight in his lap. I looked around me, trying to think of something. They tsarted to drag her away but I jumped up.

"Wait!" I called. Markus looked at me, concern finally showing. He shook his head slowly, pleading with me not to do it. I ignored him. I wasn't about to let this happen.

"What?" One of the Authorities asked. The one holding Arabella tighten his hold, making her wince. His brow was arched, waiting for my answer.

"I..."I looked at Arabella, scared now. It was then that I realized there was nothing I could do. I sank back down in my seat beside Markus. He relaxed a little bit, but I could tell he was scared. I grabbed his hand and squeezed as they walked off with Arabella, leaving us sitting there, wondering what to do.

Markus

He sighed inwardly, fighting with everything inside him. All his thoughts and feelings. The RSS, or the government? Erika or his father? Erika already knew about his family's political ties, but the rest of the RSS might not take it so well. Besides, to get anywhere here, he'd have to reveal that not only was his father still an agent, but Markus was still on his good side. Well, he supposed he'd just have to leave it to those he'd come to call 'friends' to decide whether or not his actions proved his loyalty, or his words decided his death.

Summoning his courage, he stood, fists clenched at his sides, and started after Arabella and the officer. He noticed Erika give him a look that seemed very close to the one he'd given her a moment ago.

"Hey." He said, once he was in earshot of the man.

The officer turned, smirking, his eyes flat. There was a silent warning in them. "You want something, kid?"

Markus bristled, anger flaring in his eyes. His father had taught him how to handle this sort of man, the first thing that had to be done was to put yourself so far above him that he had to back down. "Kid?" He said, rage tinging his voice, "I'm the son of Agent Shepherd, asshole!"

The man took a step back, recognising the name, knowing that no mere child should know it. Markus closed the distance between them, pulling the officer forward, "Now you listen to me," he kept his voice low, although no doubt Arabella would hear every word, "I'm working on getting inside whatever resistance group is in operation here, and if you start arresting innocent students at random, that group will go to ground. And then how am I meant to do my job? She's got nothing, I've screened her."

Muttering an apology, the authority let her go, although he gave Markus a glare when he thought the boy wasn't looking. Markus made his way back to his seat with Erika, avoiding her gaze as he sat down. It wouldn't be hard to work out that he'd flexed some political muscle to get the man to back down, and that his story must therefore have a few holes.

*Oops, by Arabella I mean Esperanza. Sorry, but I haven't posted in a while.*

"We are having a meeting in the fort. Tonight." I whispered to them. "Can someone tell Jessy?" We were still in the cafe. Spider and Leo had joined us and were eagerly listening.

"I'll tell him." Leo said. Spider looked over at him worriedly.

"I'll come with you." she added. They got up, both holding their coffee, and left. Erika leaned over the table towards Esperanza.

"You alright?" she asked tenderly. Esperanza gave a slight nod but had her eyes glued to the floor. Markus had a solemn look on his face and was rather quiet. Taylor seemed confused as he sat a few tables away from our discussion.

Eirka:

Erika didn't know what to do. She still couldn't believe her eyes as she watched Markus walk back to them, Esperanza in tow. She'd have to thank him later. Really thank him. Markus seemd really quiet....like he was hiding something. Seh shrugged inwardly, he'd tell her in time.
