Caden~

After a quick sparr and a run through the forest Caden finally walked into the mess hall, Enalu atop her head in a shrunken state. She waved at a few people around the large room and grabbed her normal breakfast, sliding the raw meat to Enalu and keeping the cooked one for herself. Caden waved at Ballow, who smiled his normal, cold smile. Caden glared teasingly and turned to an now, full grown Enalu who was breathing in the meat. "Y'know. You'll get sick if you don't eat slower." Caden announced, prodding the spotted big cat in the forehead.

"And this is coming from the girl who downed twelve deer in two minutes!" Enalu laughed aloud, smiling devishly.

"I hadn't eaten in two weeks and that was four years ago! When are you going to let it go?!" Caden huffed angrily and dumped her food onto Enalu's plate.

"Hmm... never," Enalu replied cockily, only to have ice cubes shoved up his snout. "Agh! It's cold!" He yowled, spinning in circles and shaking his head madly as Caden fell off her seat and burst into laughter.

*Star has the ability to change her size, she's little most of the time for convenience's sake.*

Nightshade-

Smiling coldly Shade pulled the sleeve of his shirt up exposing the blood runes. Ballow drew in a quick breath. Blood magic was volatile stuff, even demon's steered clear of it most of the time. He shrugged and slid the sleeve back in place as reached up and rubbed Star. The spines on her back lowered but she continued to glare at the hell hound.

"If I shifted I could eat that pup for breakfast." She muttered irritably.

"You'd also squish the building and everyone in it." He shrugged and spoke to Ballow. "I'd show you the rest, but to do that I'd have to take my shirt off completely. This is why I don't care whether or not your a demon. I know full well they're not the only race capable of atrocities. My own sister chose to take part in humanity's darkest indulgence. Torture."

Ballow

Ballow looked at the blood magic ruin on Shade's upper arm. He didn't get a long enough chance to fgure out the script it was - it looked amazingly like demons script; if he had been able to view it all he could figure out what kind it was.

As it was the only thing he could figure out was that it had to be a pretty extensive curse to cover his upper body. Ballow raised his left eyebrow, "Torture?"

He cupped his chin for a second and looked off, "It's possible that those runes are actully demonic script. My demonic friends have been up to something mysterious of the late."

He bit his lip and his eyes drifted out for a second. They focused again and he turned to Azrael, "Go tell fath . . . the majesty . . . that there's been a possible breach in the demon laws."

Shade gazed at him enquringly, "I didn't know demons had laws."

Azrael disappeared in red bright flame, Ballow's focus turned to Shade, "Well, we mostly don't, but we do have one ultimate extreme punishable by torture forever rule that you don't want to breach."

Shade raised any eyebrow, this was curious, he'd never heard of this law before. Ballow smiled, "Never lend or teach demon script or magic to any human or mortal."

Ballow grinned, "As you can imagine that it's our ONE and ONLY law so it is very very extreme if you break it."

A sudden thought occured to Ballow and he grinned, "I may be be able to take over their punishment. I'll be able to brush up on a few of my endless torture skills."

He turned to Shade, "That reminds me, can I see the rest of the runes?"

Nightshade-

"Sure, why not." Shade shrugged. "It's not like it would cost me anything, and you might even be able to tell me what they do. All I've been able to figure out is that they make a really bad fashion accessory."

Ballow snorted at the morbid humor. "I've got to go get something. Meet me in a quarter hour, in the back gardens. They're mostly deserted this time of day."

(OOOh, I am confused . . . did Ballow say he had to get something . . . or did Shade?)

I'll take it as Ballow.

Ballow

Ballow nodded and walked off. He let out a sigh when Shade was out of sight, "I don't like hiding things from the hurt ones. Now."

He turned his attention to a small spot on the floor, speaking in demonic language, he summoned Azrael.

Azrael whined and Ballow squatted down next to him and patted him on the head, "Did you talk to Dad? Did you relay the information?"

Azrael barked and touched his padded nose onto Ballow's forehead and a message was relayed, "Prince Ballow, my seventh son, if this is true action needs to be taken; your fun shall have to wait . . . unless you've inherited my danger-loving genes, then prepare for a great dangerous time. Oh, and tell Smith that if he breaches the law again; he is going to be disowned and turned into a mortal. Have a nice day, Ballow. Your Father, The King of Hell."

Ballow smiled; he was his father's favourite son; it didn't matter that he wasn't the heir - he had all the love.

Ballow shook his head, "Smithy has done it this time. Brother you're in for some trouble now. . . All I have to do is remember that rune tracing spell dad taught me."

After a while it popped into his head, "AHA! That's it!"

It had been about a quarter of an hour Ballow was running to get to the meet spot. When he got there Shade just walked in.

Ballow smiled as Azrael barged into his legs, "Ahh, instead of deciphering them, would you care to know who did this to you instead?"

Shade frowned; what did he mean. Ballow grinned, "You see the thing about cursing a human with demon script runes, is that the curse in the runes leaves a particular flavour. Or scent, if you will. I know a spell which can track down the demons whereabouts through the smell it the demon leaves behind. So you in? Or out?"

Shad thought for a second and Ballow stood unwavering; waiting for an answer.

*one thing light-devil Kai 'altered' some of the runes in order to increase their power.*

Nightshade-

Shade's silver eyes glittered dangerously as he shrugged the tunic off. Wincing Ballow walked around Shade studying the runes. "They really did a number on you didn't they?"

Snarling, he turned to face Ballow. "I already know who did this to me. Kai personally burned the runes into my body. All I want to know is who gave her the power to ruin my life."

(Oh, okay ^^)

Ballow

Ballow looked the runes up and down and nodded, "Yeah, most definitely demon script. . . though I think your sister altered them somehow . . . combined them with arcaic human script? I'm not sure, but as long as it is demon script I can find the ruiner-of-your-life."

Shade pulled his tunic back on violently and Ballow smiled, "So I just need a drop of your blood and a bit of your hair."

Shade recoiled slightly; ever suspïcious, "Why?"

Ballow sighed, "Blood to ensure I target the right scent; curses usually effect the blood. And hair because I really don't want you to die while I'm doing this."

Shade took a step back, "Why would I have the risk of dying?"

Ballow grinned, "Questions, questions, eh? Well, I need your hair because I need to bring you with me, if I don''t have a physical embodiment of you, I would just take your etheral spirit; aka your soul. So, its your hair."

Shade began to talk, but Ballow cut him off, "And no, the blood will not substitute I'm weaving two spellshere and I need to different components."

The prince still looked rather untrusting so Ballow sighed, "I can take the blood by force, and you really don't need to come with me . . . or you can give me some blood and one hair and you can come, alright?"

Azrael growled at his side and Ballow patted it with a gentle smile, "Don't be impatient my friend. Fun will come sooner or later."

Once again Ballow found himself waiting for an answer; he had an evil grin on his face while staring directly into Shade's eyes.

*Sorry I haven't posted in a while!*

Owyn Kimball-

I looked at the boy with the bird on his shoulder. I expected a name to fall out of his mouth, but none came.

"And your name is?" I asked. He seemed to come out of a trance.

"Farst. My name is Farst," he said. I smiled at him as he just stared at me.

"What?" I asked harshly. He shook his head.

"Nothing," he said.

"Okay, then, I am going now," I said backing away slowly.

"Wait," Farst said. I turned to him. "You wanna walk?" he asked.

"Only if I get my hair back," I said. He nodded and I walked towards him. He handed me the two strands that was missing from my head. I took it and wrapped it around into a knot. I stuffed it in a pocket of my bottoms. We continued on to our walk.

**Sorry Kitty Kat! I got confuzzled! Also, I didn't know what to post.

Nightshade-

Shade watched Ballow vanish into a red light to prepare the spell. Star circled above his head, light flashing off white scales. "Do you really think you can trust the boy, Shade?"

He smiled and held his wrist up for Star to land on. "No, but he'll give me the answers. Because I'm useful to him too. It's an alliance of mutual convenience. Why don't we head down to the training grounds, I need to get some sparring in."

Star bobbed her head and took off again, flying over the buildings. Below her, a trail of light shot across the ground. Solidifying outside training area, Shade walked through the door and didn't look back when the younger kids turned to stare at him.

~Gwenevere

"Are you ready to train?"

The voice startled me out of my trance. I looked down at the boy whose name I thought was Coden.

"What are you a trainer or something?" I asked. He didn't look like much of one.

"No, I was just wondering if you were ready to, I know I am. Just waiting for a trainer to come open."

"Yes, I'm ready, I'm new and don't know that many people, and I want to know the place better before I get a trainer." I said interested.

"I know how you feel, its a bit confusing around here at first. So, whats your name? How long you been here?" he asked curiosly.

Preoccupied I whispered to the tree to grow a vine, and it slowly grew towards me. He looked at me amazed.

"My name's Gwenervere and I've been here for four weeks." I used the tree vine to swing down and landed in front of Coden,

"Nice to meet you he said as he shook my hand warmly.

*Hey. I was just wondering if it would be possible for someone to bring in my character. I can't find an opening to do it.*
"So, I was thinking, I've always wanted to ride a TaunTaun."
"Ummmm....I asked you answer the math problem on the board."
"No you didn't."
"Yes I did."
"Yeah well, that's your opinion."...............A conversation between my teacher and I.
