Nami:

She jumped up and ran across the dieing grass of fall and managed to run into some one. She looked up from her place on the ground. It was Shade. She jumped up and bowed her head. "I'm sorry!" She squeaked before running off. She was still afraid of him...

Jessabi:

He sat in the tree with silence and felt a vision brush him but it didn't come to him. He needed to figure out how o pull them to him and not let them come to him. Then he would be a master... He sighed and sat back on the branch behind him. It was no use right now.

James:

He flew over the settlement and watched for anything that might be wrong but he found none. Nami had just ran into Shade and...

Jessy:

He yawned and sat back against the tree. He'd finally found a place to sleep after being up all night. Being a night watchman was hard on him and he never got enough sleep to keep him going. He found the hat he'd set down the day before and put it over his face as the sun started to come up. He was tired and didn't care what time it was.

Nightshade-

Lips twitching Shade watched as Nami ran down the path. Probably heading for the training grounds after she ate. Star flew by Nami's head as the two past each other, she landed on Shade's shoulder, curling her tail around his neck protectively."You should have woken me when you left. You know some of the people here don't like you."

Shade shrugged and started walking towards the mess hall again. "So? It's human nature to blame someone for your problems. In lieu of the genuine culprit, people usually blame the one with the closest link. And what closer link is there then a direct blood tie?"

Star leaned into him and nuzzled his cheek. "You sound crabby, did you have another nightmare?"

"Another memory." Shade corrected with a sad smile. "And in my opinion, a memory best left forgotten." Star nodded, emerald eyes swirling. "Enough of that Star, let's go get something to eat."

The pair headed into the mess hall together.

Mara-

Mara stepped out of her room and into the morning. She was an assortment of weapons on her but you could never tell. She was hoping no one would summon her today. She wanted to be able to get through one freaking day without someone coming to her with some pathetic sap story and wanting to trade their sould or some valuable little trinket for someone or something else.

She walked through an open field and looked for a spot to sit and be bored until training started. She found a tree and sat at the base of it. The sun was just begining to come up. Suddenly a black object fell into her lap. She jumped and looked up to see a boy sitting on one of the lower branches asleep.

He seemed to notice his hat was missing because his eyes opened and he looked down, "You lose something?" Mara asked holding up the hat.

I was so tired. I have been up for more than one hundred and twenty hours. That is five day's. I am usually never tired, but being in the desert with no water for two days and nothing alive, besides Alger, to bend it out of kind of does that to you.

"How much longer?" I pouted. I ran my finger against the scar under my eye, cringing at the pain it still beared, remembering every single detail, every single word. I looked at Alger and he still looked foward.

"Okay...tell me again why I couldn't use my powers to get us there?" I asked him. It seemed to be twenty minutes before he answered me.

"Because then They would see us and we need to get to that training camp without dying first," Alger said. I had forgotten about Them. It was about another day before we reached the outline of the thick brush that the kingdom, training grounds, was located in. It wasn't but two seconds after I had touched the grass feeling the morning dew on my blistered feet.

"Land! Sweet, grassy, land!" I yelled sprawled out on the grass rolling in it. Alger turned into a Firestone Dragon. They were small things, but Alger didn't need to change to something big to carry me. I only weighed one hundred and seven pounds at a height of 5'7. He picked me up with his abnormally large claws. He had wrapped them carefully around my arms, making sure he didn't pinch me. I smiled as I felt the wind through my hair, his wings beating air to my face. I loved the feeling. I felt as if I was flying, which I was, but....you know what I mean. Finally I saw the points of the Castle emerge from the canopy of the forest. I smiled and pointed.

"There it is!" I yelled over the top of the wind. Alger dropped me from two hundred feet in the air and turned into a little raven quickly. I dove through the sky like it was water. Once I reached the canopy of the tree's I burst out a wind scooter. I loved wind surfing. It was so unusual and fun. The castle was so big and so.....beautiful. I looked at Alger easliy floating by my side. We were soon at the castle gates.

Jessy:

He watched the girl. "Yes." It was a simple enough answer. He sighed ans dropped form the branch. "Do you want me to teach you today, Mara?" He asked as she handed him his hat back.

"Have you even taught anyone yet?" She asked doutedly.

"Yeah... once." He gave a laugh as he scratched the back of his head. It had been Jessabi with his shooting of arrows.

Jessabi:

He focused this time and the vision burst into his mind. It was a girl... wind suerfing. It was very peculeir but it looked like the wind was her traide. Then the vision had her comeing closer to him and then it popped from his mind as the really girl came for him. He knew she couldn't see him untill he jumped out of the way and onto another branch.

I screamed as a boy jumped out of a tree onto another branch.

"Sorry!" I yelled behind me. It was good that he saw me because I didn't see him and if I had hit him then it would of been a costastrophe! I dropped to the ground. I wiped myself off with any air dust that might of been caught on my corsette or anything and looked up. It was huge. It must of had a million acres of forest then a million acres of training areas and cottages.

"Hello," said an old bald man. He must of been the keeper of the cottage keys because he handed us two different sets and told us where our cottages were located. Of course we were seperated, but we each had a key to ones new home. I was very eager and excited to explore my home.

I stepped onto a dirt road that went in two directions. Alger looked at the signs then at me. I couldn't read or write. I could only talk and draw as far as paper arts went. The only thing that I could read and write was Owyn Kimball:Sorceress and of course seperate those words.

"Your cottage is located down this road and mine is down this road. I am sure that they have a sign hanging in front of your house or a number thats also on the key," Alger said. I looked at him confused.

"What in the dickens is a number?" I asked him. He sighed and looked at me to speak again. He took my key from my hands and turned it to the back. There were some very weird symbols.

"This is a number. This number is One Hundred Seventy-Two. Look for both the number and a sign that has your name on it. I will come by for dinner or something," Alger said handing me back my key. I smiled at him as he walked down the road. I turned to the aisle that supposedly had my cottage on it. I took a deep breath and readied my wind skates. I loved to create things with wind. I thought it was the most funnest thing because you couldn't do but only certain things with the other elements. I blasted myself down the bumpy road. Then I came to my house.

It was beautiful. It had little window flowers on the outside of the window and the lawn was fairly trimmed. I loved it. I stopped and ran inside. It was lovely furnished also. I went back outside and traced my fingers on the Oak sign that held my name. Owyn Kimball.

Six months later, he has been forgiven of his accident but proceeds to have extensive training with his control.

Coden's cottage was placed slightly farther from the rest. Known for its "fiery outbreaks" the wooden pillars that had hedl the other cottages up had been safely reinforced with a fireproof alloy. It shown in the light with a crude reflection, more of a warning than a calling. The ground had no nature to bless it; it had been burnt away with one of many accidents. It wasn't exactly a looker, but it worked for him as a place to sleep.

Stepping out into the sun, he let his armor reflect a more calming idea, a more controlled person. A lie, he knew, but he was working on it. Softly twirling his spear around in his hand, he began a slow stroll down the path towards a control session with one of the masters. Three times a day he played through those times, concentrating on his new found power but then again he didn't put as much effort as he could.

A feeling suddenly took over his arm twirling his weapon. He felt it flow through him and out the spear. A fireball as big as him took off down the path.

"Son of a-" Once again, his powers controlled him. He began barreling down the path. "Look out! fire on the rampage!"

(just trying to shove my way in here...)

*and we shall bring you right in. ^-^*

Nami:

SHe looked up at her old teacher. This lady was old but she ws very good at her transformation. "Like this," the woman informed once more as she blinked and transformed into a beautiful woman in her twenties, complete with a sassy face and all.

Nami sighed and blinked once more. She never got this one right. (blink) Messed up face. (blink) Gimpy leg.

"Okay. Just stop for now. Work on your other transformations and we'll work on this tommorow." Nami nodded witha frown and began her long walk back to the area which she had fled froms o happily this morning. She gave another sigh and blinked, transforming into some other person as she went. She never looked up in her walks. She just figured someone else would watch out. MOst everyone knew she looked down when she walked. After transforming into the brunet girl with the cool socks she heard a cry. (The my 'prodigy one' on my character profile)

"Fire on the rampage!" it kind of sounded like. She looked up as the ball came twards her. SHe jumped out of the way and into the grass as the ball burst into little flams that dispated when it hit the ground. She stared up at the boy tht came running down the road. Red armour. Hm.... "I'm sorry..." She blinked and transformed into the usual one she used. The white haired girl with the pretty dress and outfit. "-Wow! Is that your power?" He asked distractedly.

"Mm... yeah..." She stood up and brushed herself off. "Are your powers new?" She asked. The boy's face droped and he nodded grimly.

"I'm truely sorry about that."

"It's fine. I'm fine. Don't worry." She gave herself a once over and smiled as she held up her palmse for him to see. "Ow. You hurt me," she said playfully, refering to the redness they had become. She always hit the ground hard.

Okay since I'm not even in this yet I'll talk to you Sylverdawn ^^

Ballow

Ballow grinned as he walked into the mess hall. Trainees converged around him and he shot them a cold smile. They skittered away like cokcroaches and it amused him to no end.

One didn't though. He turned his gaze towards the person and was mildly amused to see a dragon sitting on his shoulder hissing at him.

Ballow put out a hand and patted it on the head, "Pretty thing aren't you?"

It tried to nip at his hand and he smiled, "Interesting personality you have too."

He gazed at the guy and realised that he looked somewhat like Princess Kai. Her brother?

Ballow grinned sardonically, It seems I've found something interesting and fun.

He smiled at the boy and introduced himself; reaching out a hand, "Ballow. Demon extraordinaire."

The guy reached a hand suspiciously over and grabbed his shaking it, "Nightshade."

Ballow smiled, Ahh, so I guessed right did I?

His eyes glittered red for a second as he whispered words that only a demon would understand. A hell-hound formed out of thin air and barked; the devilish sound produing goose bumps on anyone who heard it. Ballow gave hima pat and in english he said, "You are to play with the dragon."

Azrael pouted and Ballow smiled at him. He bounded off towards the dragon and it launched off Shade's shoulder in fright. Hell-hounds were notorious for their violence.

Ballow gestured towards a table and he sat, "Don't worry Azrael was hand bred by me, he won't do anything bad unless I want it. Isn't he beautiful?"

The prince didn't particularly enjoy being without his dragon.

Shade didn't answer, but only followed, still slightly suspicisous. Ballow began, "So, what brings your highness here?"

He raised an eyebrow as the prince recoiled slightly. Bingo. I've got the luck of the world . . . or maybe just the luck of a demon. The thought made Ballow's lips tugged up into a evil smile; one which befit his title of demon.

Nightshade-

He couldn't suppress the flinch when the other boy used his title. Shade raised his eyebrow sarcastically. "Everyone has their own reasons for being here. Mine just tend to be more colourful."

Ballow raised an eyebrow but before he could reply his brow furrowed. He cocked his head studying Shade like he was looking at a puzzle. "There's something, off, about your aura. It's too dark for a human's, let alone a half-elf's."

Shade shrugged and took a sip of caff. The hot drink brushed away the last dregs of sleep. "And here I thought, the whole compound had heard my story by now. Since the master's used a Mirean on me." He named the spirit that read memories.

[Farst Emtorion]

"Ow! What the?" Slight pause. "Hey, bird! Get back here so I can pluck all those pretty little feathers of yours."

A dark, malevolent-looking bird glided swiftly around the corner of a cottage--a girl quickly on its trail. This, who left me with a confused look, happened to my raven. The wind was running after the two of them along with a group of leaves that had come to watch the chase.

I cocked my head to a side, hands in pockets, and took a few steps forward as the raven made a sharp decent onto my shoulder. In its mouth, a few strands of hair. It turned its head to me and if it could I would swear there was a smirk lining its beak.

"Why, what is that?" I asked, a sort of slight smile growing, too, on my face.

The girl glared at me and took an exact five steps in my direction. She rubbed the top of her head, looking to the bird... then me. I looked at the creature and found there was a few pieces of stray hair between its ebony beaks.

"Tell that pigeon to keep away!" she growled.

I laughed, ignoring the girl. "Who's hair does that belong to? You know you shouldn't be taking what isn't yours, silly thing." I petted the underside of its neck.

"Hey!"

"Oh? It's hers'?" I looked to the girl, she was scowling. It made me smile. "And who are you?"

She looked shocked, even appalled, at me. It wouldn't be a surprise if she was thinking at that very moment, Who does he think he is?. I smiled.

"My name," she started, "is Owyn."
Our happiness here is all vain glory,

Ballow

Ballow smiled and replied with a dry note in his voice, "Us demons are an untrustworthy lot and people really don't tend to tell us a lot."

Shade looked at him for a second, mistrust in his voice, "Then how did you know who I was?"

Ballow grinned, a sly look upon his face, "Ahh, in replace of gossiping facts from humans we gather our own info and share."

Shade's eyes narrowed, "So no one trusts you?"

Ballow laughed, "Oh well that is arguable, I'm sure a lot of people trust me, who is demon who is only here for fun. Though I rather admit that people are for some reason always suspsicous of me. I have no idea why."

The tone in his voice expressed actual confusion, but the look on his face did not match; he knew why.

Shade looked him down; why was a demon here anyway?, "Are you only here for fun, then?"

Ballow's smiled fell for a second, then it resumed, "That and much more. I must say you have intrigued me. Would you care to explain this colourful past of yours, if you do I may have something of interest to say back."

Ballows eyes grew cold and they flashed red for a second. He muttered some demonic words and licked his left canine tooth. Things were going to get interesting.

He called back Azrael, who sat at his feet and growled; in happiness. Ballow's eyes glowed red for a second and a bit of meat appeared in front of him. He chucked it down to Azrael and the hound ate it in one bite.

Ballow smiled as he saw Shade's dragon fly back as well. Tilting his head he smiled and licked his fingers, which had held bloody meat just before, "I have a feeling that your past may mean something and I'm prepared to give back as much as I've been given."

A chuckle escaped his breath as he waited staring Shade in the eyes for an answer.

Appearance: 6" 2', muscular but well toned. Slim but average figure. Skater style black hair. Crystal blue eyes. Usually wears looses clothes such as cargo pants, etc.

Disability: Has uncontrollable outbursts with his power from time to time. Many "accidents" have occured because of this.

History: When he was younger, before he came to Chandra, he had discovered his power when he had killed another boy out of rage. He used the shadows to strangle him.
