It was in the nature of Chaos to deceive and misdirect: to fool the forces of Light with misdirection and subterfuge. The humans, aswell as these elven town-militia, seemed ready to throw off the threat of Tzeentch even while the body of a sorcerer lay cooling at their feet.

As the others made plans to defend the gate from the encroaching greenskin forces, Talon turned to the only ones who could properly understand the threat of chaos, Kurt and Nightshade.

"The threat is not done, this sorcerer is clearly an apprentice to be overcome so easily, we must hunt any survivors lest they escape in the confusion of the battle." Talon said to the two.

"You know me Talon, you know I am as zealous as any in my hunt of chaos, but they are gone, and the threat here is from greenskins. Come, we could use your magic at the gate." Responded Kurt, shaking his head.

Nightshade stood over the shattered body of the sorcerer's daemon, and sheathed his blade before responding.

*Sylverdawn, I gave you the choice, but figured Kurt should stay with the others, I'm envisaging a desperate hunt through war-torn streets for the cultists lair :P*
*Fellow, the chaos army isnt at the empire city, the orc one is. Refugees from a village overrun by the undead have arrived at the city, but the undead are tied up slaughtering flagellants. The chaos army is still absent, but being narrated by Thunderdude. There may be a few chaos cultists in the city though"
So you're going to kill a god. Sure. But what happens next?

(Fellow my mistake about the orc killing thing then)(Oh yeah, Anzius its Karl Franz, not Franc)

Ungrok:
He heard something heavy land a small distance away from him. He also heard a mix roar of an eagle and a lion. Ungrok "crept" closer to the sound, but failed to be silent. He looked around the corner and saw the ground littered with black orc corpses. One of the orcs was being devoured by something part eagle and part lion. On top of it he saw the most powerful man in the Empire. Emperor Karl Franz was talking o some one on the ground. Franz held the magical hammer. passed down from emperor to emperor since Sigmar himself. For the first time Ungrok felt outmatched...Suddenly the gryphon smelt something. It raised its head towards Ungrok. The emperor didn´t notice this.
"Oh no..." Ungrok thought and backed towards the wyvern.
Before Ungrok had been warboss of his clan, there had been another orc ruling the tribe. Ungrok had seen that orc been ripped to tiny pieces by this mighty beast. And even if he got passed the beast, he would be face to face with the most powerful man in the Empire. Too risky. He set off to find something he could beat. Soon he did when some weirdly dressed men walked with chaos looking equipment with them. One saw the orc and grinned... This was strange usually when people saw an giant orc the would cower in fear, but this man was indeed grinning. Well the grin was quickly wiped off with face a snotling ripped his face off. The other man ran. Ungrok followed in pursuit. He reached the man when he got shot by a black powder weapon. Ungrok quickly slammed against the wall. He peeked around the corner, his turban giving away his position. He had seen these men before...
*******
Victor Pashendale:
Victor sat atop of a mound of corpses. He would have looked cheerful, if he had not had a insane looking grin on his face. Cheerful was turned into menacing. He stood up and the grin vanished. he walked over to his skeletal lieutenant.
"Burn the village, kill all who are left!" he commanded.
The wight didn´t even give a nod, just walked off, his armour creaking as he went.
"Where is it?" he asked another skeleton.
The skeleton pointed towards the other side of the village. Victor walked over there and indeed found the Vargulf feeding on the corpses of some soldiers.
"I have a job for you," he said to the beast.
It hissed at him and continued its feast.
"Don´t you remember our agreement?" he asked rhetorically.
The bat turned around and locked it deep red eyes into Victors. It broke the stare, stretched and walked over to him. He whispered something into the beast ear and it took off. He stared at beast until he could see it no more and said:"Well general, let us see how well you fare against the Vargulf..."
"The only good stumpy is a dead stumpy, and the only thing better than a dead stumpy is a dying stumpy, who will tell you were his friends are."

"My lord. What are you doing here?" Darren asked Franz

"You sent me a message of your grave, and defeat."
Darren rose from his knees. "But you did not have to come here my lord."

"I cannot let any of my captains or officers die, in these days. You may have lkost but... the vampires have unlocked the seecrets of the book of the dead."

"Oh no!"

Kurt Miebach:

He glared at the wood elf's back, then turned the same look on Kyon. They'd pay for that, the servants of Sigmar were not to be treated that way, whether or not it was by some apparently famous half-breed. Just give me an excuse, half-elf. The most vague hint of corruption.

The clank of iron-shod boots on stone reached his ears, and he saw a cultist race down a side street, the orc they'd encountered earlier following him. He fired after the orc, seeing it slam against the wall with the impact of the bullet. "Just couldn't learn, could you?" He snarled.

He shot a look over his shoulder to Talon and Nightshade, "It seems that you were right, Talon. At least some of them are still here. That one should lead us to any others in the city." He smiled, "Shall we?"

Kyon:

One more time his sword crushed the head of a cultist... the last one. Why was his head hurting so bad? A scream spilled through the war dust.
"Tyrea!"
Blood dripped from the demon`s sword and his jaw opened in a cadaveric smile. Tyrea had her eyes closed and stood numb in the hands of the demon. Kurt rose his gun and pointed towards him, but freeze when a sharp sword touched his chin. Kyon threw at him a furious look.
"Pull the trigger and hit Tyrea and you`re head joins the dust! "
A click behind his back made the half elf raise his sharp eyebrow.
"You would look quite nice with a whole in your head!" James` voice thundered.
Kurt saw how Kyon`s eyes turn white and his body becomes a dark fog. In a split second the fog moved behind the demon materializing in Kyon. His sword piercing through the bones. He caught Tyrea and lay her down.
" Before you shoot me, at least take care of her!" Kyon yelled with such anger.
Boom!
Kyon fell to the ground.
- 1. Kyon is not dead
- 2. The wood elf is not dead.
- 3. Kurt, James and the others go in other places.
(the only undead close to the city is the vargulf, and it is not there yet. But no prob.)

James:

He oppened his eyes. "What, where." He was on a cross.

He looked to his side, he saw Kurt on a cross, he looked to the other side thesre were nightshade and Talon were there.

He looked before him, there they were... The cultists!

************************************************

Darren:

They had beat the orcs. Now they had to start rebuilding. And to get readdy for the upcoming fight. All dead bodies were burned and so was the graveyard.
Karl's army was coming not too far behind.

Everything wwas fine... Unles you took to notice the giant bat that was trying ti rip Darren apart.
He was hiding behind a great big rock.

"Someone shoot the damned thing!"

Kurt:

He stirred awake, blinking against the pain in his head. He reached for his pistols, only to find that they'd been stolen. No...that's not right... He shook himself mentally. It wasn't that his pistols weren't there, it was that he couldn't reach for them.

Although, glancing about himself, it was fairly obvious that they weren't there anyway. He, like James, Talon and Nightshade, had been tied to a cross. The cultists were arrayed before them in a half-circle. A sorcerer stood in the center of their line, his equipment, in particular the disc of Tzeentch he was balanced on, implying that he was significantly more powerful than the apprentice they'd encountered earlier.

The cultists were mumbling under their breath. It's some kind of summoning rite. He looked around himself, There must be a way out of this. He flexed his wrists against the binding rope, testing the knots. Sigmar's hammer! These cultists are better at this than the usual village freaks.

He turned his head to James, the only one who appeared to be awake, "James!" He hissed.

The swordsman turned his head, "What?"

"Any ideas for a way out of this? I'm generally on the other end of a crucifixion."

Kyon:

His hands were cold, life fading from his body. He felt the slight tingling on his skin as blood coursed down his chest and onto the ground. No pain was ravaging his mind but only the numbness of death.
The bitter taste of his own blood, the constant fading of his senses made him realise of his human blood, made him notice why humans were so.
He tried to move his head, to watch at the wood elf. She wasn't there.
" Our "friends" got into trouble." A well known voice came into his mind.
" Where are you?" His mouth did not speak but his mind was still clear.
" At the city`s watch tower. They are tide up on crosses."
" You got any plans?"
" Yes, one that dosen't include you."
" What?!" he almost yelled.
" You got shoot in the chest. Plus you will slow me down." the archer`s voice was now close to pity.
For the first time Kyon felt useless, felt exactly how he felt years ago in prison. He needed to take some energy and heal himself.
" Very well, but take care." He sent the mental words hoping that the wood elf will not sense the lie.
The link closed. He took a deep breath.

Tyrea:
She moved softly through the cultists. The cloak she stolen from one of them didn't gave away her true identity. The hood covered her long ears and sharp face. Kyon`s short sword fitted quite nicely underneath the cloak.
James moved trying to loosen the rope.
"Stay still, mortal!" One of the cultist yelled.
She took a look around, counting them out. One...two...three... hm... teen...eleven. Not many, but still a threat.
" You! " A cultist that carried a long sacrificial dagger pointed towards Tyrea. "Come! You will sustain my powers."
She almost gave away a giggle hearing the serious voice. Tyrea moved forward keeping her head down. The four who were on the crosses stopped talking. She felt the eyes of James over her.
The cultist started to utter words quickly.
" When I give the mark take your weapons and dodge their spells. " She mentally whispered to them four.
She raised her head.
"NOW!" The ropes snapped. The cultists started screaming spells. The four dodged and found their weapons.

A dragon flew over and a ball of fire boomed above the fighting group.
" YOU ALWAYS GET IN TROUBLE!? " A form jumped over Kurt cutting the head of the cultist.

Tyrea yelped as she touched her bleeding ear. A past was missing. Kyon touched his chest and turned for the four. Kurt rose his gun.
"The next bullet that leaves that gun will pass through your head." Kyon yelled his eyes turning white.

James:

"Stop! If you two fight now. I'm gonna cut both of you up."

They both lowered their weapons, until Kurt rose his gun and shot at Kylon.

Kylon looked behind. A cultist fell to the ground.

"Thanks."

*******************************************************************

Darren:

He was still behind the rock.

SOmeone shot the vargulf.... The arrow didn't even affect the creature.

"Something better!" Darren shouthed.

Someone shot the Vargulf with a rifle.
It just scratshed the place. Then they heard a rumbling sound. Even ´the Vargulf looked. Now the soldier had a cannon!

The vargulf looked at the soldier. The soldier looked at the Vargulf. The Vargulf looked at the soldier. The soldier ran.

"Come back you Pansy!!"

The vargulf grinned and turned back to Darren... WHen it turned it met the black hole of a rifle.

"Hail Karl Franz." He said and shot the Vargulf.

The Vargulf was on the ground, but soon rose up, and it had blood lust in its eyes

Kurt:

Working with a wizard, or whatever kind of magic user this elf was, was far from Kurt's idea of a good job. Still, expedience called for it, and he would have another chance at the half-blood's life later. Whether or not the elf's friend had saved him, he had used magic that appeared very close to that which the vampire counts used. And while it was clear that he was not undead, the cult of Sigmar didn't tolerate any kind of magic that resembled that.

But for the meantime, he lowered his pistol and searched the area. Of the eleven cultists, eight were now dead. "We're going to need to find the others, especially the sorcerer. And there should be more. After all, we haven't even located their temple yet. As long as that stands I have work here."

He didn't add that he would burn every building in the city if they were unable to find the temple. A place this tainted needs that kind of cleansing anyway. Heretic blood runs thick in these streets.

Kyon :

As night fell, the siege siezed and silence came. The smell of death was all over the place.
"We need to get out of here." Kyon spread shad`lor dust in front of him.
"Why? Scared of a little battle?" Kurt laughed.
Kyon turned, holding back his fury.
"You should be scared of what I see. In the next hours this city will burn from the order of the Empire`s king, an asurance that the "mission" if fufiled."
Kurt stood tall almost reaching with the top of his head at the chin of the half-blood. James was taking care of Tyrea`s ear. She smiled when Kyon looked at her and tried to move but regreted the action as pain bursted.
Talon and Nightshade were watching the whole scene in silence.
" James, can I have a word with you?" Kyon pulled himself to a distance where no one could hear. Kyon saw the look on Kurt`s face when James confirmed and started walking towards him.
Need to watch my back...
" What do you want, Dal`fly?"
" It`s about what I saw upfront. The dragon that flies over is some how linked to me. If I succed in calling him we could get out of here before the final attack starts."
" So we depend on you? Look at them! They barely know you, one wants to kill you, the other two have no words about your future."
" Well... We have a dragon or... we could sneak out, but the gates are stuffed with guards."
James looked at the sky searching for the dragon. It saw him flying over the northen side.

Now they were running. They were trying to go to the north side.

Kyon:

He knew that the dragon knew about their coming. They stopped running when they got underneath it. A fire ball flew over the northern wall destroying some houses. James looked at Kurt and he looked back with a glow in their eyes. The two other elves dodged some arrows that pierced through the air.
" Any chance we are getting out from here, alive?" Screamed Kurt trying to make himself heard over the gun`s booming.
"I`m working at it!" the answer came.
Another fire ball flew over. The order spilled from both James and Kurt.
"COVER!"
The explosion threw them four meters away. Talon went through the wall of a house, Kurt rose himself from some crates, James came out from a house covered in dust, Nightshade jumped off a cart.
" Call the darn dragon! NOW!" Tyrea`s voice spilled. Kyon jumped in fear.
" Ehm... Dragon! I conjure you!" Kyon started. The dragon didn't stop from spinning around.
" Any more smart ideas?" Nightshade laughed.
Kyon took a handful of shad`lor dust and threw it into the wind.
"DRAGON! I conjure you!"
For some moments the dragon didn't respond, but it took a spin in the air and landed near the group.
"Pleased, master?" Kyon made an ironic bow to Nightshade who unveiled his druidic teeth.
They ran towards the dragon with cultists running after them. The dragon even had a settle.
They jumped on its back. Tyrea hesitated.
"C`Mon!!!" Kurt roared.
" You go! I have some unfinished business here. JUST GO!"
The dragon rose from the ground and started flying. Kyon saw how the body of Tyrea falls inert on the ground pierced by arrows and spells.

"Where to?" He yelled to Kyon in order to make himself heard in the flight of the dragon.
"To the Forests of Loren - the home of Wood Elves."
"Are you mad? It's forbidden!" Kurt roared.
"Not for friends of Kyon Dal`fly." the words of Talon made themselves heard.

*Sorry I took so long to post, I got grounded AGAIN!*

Nightshade-

Shade curled protectively around Dusk, tightening his grasp on one of the dragon's spines. His mind drifted back to the city. He had gotten separated from the others early on, and for awhile he'd wandered up and down the streets looking for them, and slaying whatever attacked him. It was while he was wandering around that Shade had come face to face with the last person he'd ever expected to see again.

He stumbled to a halt and glanced around, the street, was wrapped in a black fog that would drive anyone away. The woman stepped out of the doorway and smiled at him. Her waist length silver-blue hair contrasted sharply with the blood stained armor she wore. She was, without a doubt one of the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen.

At his feet Dusk hissed arching her back as she glared at the woman. In a voice far calmer then he felt Shade addressed the woman. "Mother."

"What? No hug for mommy dearest, Wrath? I'm heart broken." She pouted playfully.

"Come on Mum. We both know you have the maternal instincts of a viper, actually that's an insult to the vipers. So why are you here?" Shade shrugged and flipped the grip on his scimitars.

Smiling she shook her head in mock exasperation. "Because we've heard of you're exploits. You grow more like your grandfather every day."

"I am nothing like that..." Shade dissolved into rant of cursing.

Frowning, Nadiera glared at him. "That's no way to talk of the Lord of War. Regardless, we would like you to help us. The Empire is going to fall soon, it won't be able to hold against an alliance of the darkest powers."

Shocked, Shade looked at his mother in surprise. "So I should help you win all that faster? Tell Grand-dad thanks, but no thanks."

Snarling, she clenched her hands into fists. "I have honestly no idea, why I bargained for you life."

Shade's face twisted into a bitter smirk. "Simple mum." He said sarcastically. "You wanted a bouncing baby to look after you in your old age."

Yelling in frustration she slapped and split his lip. "Why are you like this!?"

Rubbing the cut on his lip he continued to smile. "Because it is ever my pleasure to piss you off."

Instead exploding again she calmed down instantly. That more then anything scared him, as further proof that his mother was as crazy as they come. "In any case, you will join us. There is much that the shadows can offer one such as you." The mist began to dissolve as her astral projection faded. "In the meantime, I suggest you take the North Road. Your 'friends' are about to run into some rather large trouble."

One of the others tapped him on the shoulder, snapping him out of his brooding. Shade glanced down and saw the were flying over the glens that the wood elves called home. It wouldn't be long before the landed. And knowing Kurt he'd corner him the moment they did. "You alright?" A voice called from behind.

"Yeah." Shade shouted back. "Yeah I'm fine."

"At least, I hope so."He thought.
