I looked at him in open mouthed amazment.

"You wouldn't!!!" I smiled.

"You'd be suprised."

"Won't you get in trouble?!" I asked with wild cat eyes.

"So what?" Alex laughed.

"You can't. You shouldn't."

"But I will." He said whipping out his wings.

Alex:

I transformed, a gigantic dragon, scales shimmering. I was more intimidating in this form, but I loved flying. "Get on."

I felt her hesistate, but then finally she was sittng on top of me. I smiled at the proximity of her touch. "Hold on." I soared through the air, as if chasing the wind itself as I went, enjoying the feeling of flying again.

Back in my tiny room I kicked my bag into one corner and lay on the only bed in the room. Alone, just how I liked it. As I began to drift off into sleep's cold embrace I was yanked back to reality when I heard a dragon roar. I looked out of the window just in time to see a great dragon flying towards the school and I could just see, sitting atop the dragon, was a ridiculously pretty girl.
I watched as the dragon landed, the girl jumped off and the creature transformed back into his human form.
Cocky bastard I thought, smirking. I wasn't here to make friends.
I couldn't sleep now. Time to go and annoy the residents.
"This is my plan of attack"

"Hmmm, looks more like a pin to me"

"No, it's definitely a tac"

Lilandre

I return to my room after the ceremony and find a guy there, sitting on the third bed. He turns to face me, his curly brown hair flopping across his face. He has depth-less, dark brown eyes. There is something inhuman about him. There is something inhuman about us all.

This is really not a good time. My heart is thudding and the phoenix inside of me is yearning to break free. After the fire at the ceremony, my body refuses to obey.

"Warm isn't it?" I say nervously, trying to calm myself, trying to cool the fire. He raises an eyebrow. To him I'm just a silly little girl. A silly little girl whose power is about to rage out of control.

"I think I'll fly a little." Quickly, I go to the window, struggling with the clasp.

"Let me help," he says, approaching. I back off. I don't want to hurt him. He opens the window smoothly and I race for it, my human form already bursting into flames. I have to get through it before I fully transform. I'm so big I'd take the whole room out in a burst of flames.

"I'm Gregory," he calls after me as I fall, shifting to phoenix and finally riding the air currents upwards and upwards. I have to keep my distance from the window.

"Lilandre," I say softly. "I'm sorry about that. The fire at the ceremony, it triggered my own."

I stood after the ceremony and watched Alex tug his new girl toy after. I chuckled, this was going to be interesting. I shifted my talons again so walking wouldn't look or feel so awkward. I spun and ran into a girl, trying to escape the fire.

"Excuse me." she said in a mouse-like voice.

"The fault is mine." I responded. She seemed like she needed a laugh or seven. "I'm Avid." I held my feathered hand out.

She smiled weakly and shook it. "Rose."

"What's your dorm number?" I asked, curious.

"Ummm." She fumbled through her pockets as we exited the auditorium. She finally found the paper she was looking for. "Fifty...six?"

Wow, my lucky day. "That's my dorm!" I smiled radiantly. Rose had the personality I looked for in friends. "Let's go back and make it a bit less...creepy."

Rose nodded in response, smiling. We quickly overtook the space between us and the room, through the foyer, take a right, go up three flights of stairs, take another right, go down five doors and walla!

I tried the door to see if anyone kept it unlocked. They didn't so I reached for a key in my pocket. The door opened easily and we entered. The last bed was now occupied. Rose, Alex, the mysterious girl and I were roommates now. And I liked them, too.

"You can have the bed over on the south wall." I gestured to the remaining bed that almost touched my headboard.

"Thanks." Rose said. She dropped the backpack with her things in it next to the bed.

Alex:

After I said goodnight to Robyn, I went back up to my room, overjoyed to see another girl there. I smiled and looked at the siren. "Miss me?" I taunted.

She rolled her eyes and I laughed. "who is this gorgeous creature that has decided to grace our presence?" I asked, picking up the new girl's hand and kissing it lightly.

This year was going to be a blast!

Rose blushed violently. "Rose." she muttered.

"A pleasure to meet you, Rose. My name is Alex."

She nodded softly and continued to unpack.

"Leave the poor girl alone, lady's boy." I threw my comforter onto my bed along with a pillow.

Alex grinned, it seemed like he was in complete ecstasy in his mind. His grin faded into a smile as he himself started to unpack and set his things on his dresser. I finished with my clothes and bed things. The only thing left was to do something about the walls.

I reached into my last suitcase and pulled out five folded up lanterns, all different variations of blue. "Do you two mind if I hang these up?"

Neither of them responded so I took that as no. I unfolded them and set them on the bed. Moving back I focused on one. It started to float as I created a weak stream of air around it. I struggled but eventually it tacked itself into the ceiling. One by one I hung each lantern up. As soon as the last one was tacked I fell backwards onto my bed.

"Son of a mother's lover." I exclaimed. "That's hard."

Rose giggled. "What did you do?" She asked with actual curiosity.

So she was coming out of her shell? "Well, I made a little gust of air that circled it so that it moved."

"Ah." Was all she said.

"My turn." announced Alex. In his hands were a bunch of posters.

"Those better not be pin-up girls." I warned him.

Chuckling. "Nope. You'll be surprise, me thinks."

He jumped onto his bed and raised the first poster. A single crow flew across the expanse of sky, elegant and simple. He tacked it onto the wall and jumped down, satisfied. He seemed to float over and bound onto my bed. He tacked the next poster, a metal winged girl sitting atop a rooftop, surveying the city in smog below her. The last one he put behind the door. It was a painting of a dragon similar to him sitting in a sea cliff. He smiled contently.

I turned my attention to catch Rose finishing putting a stained glass window on a nail in the wall. She stood back, straightened it, stood back again and nodded. A family of fairies gathered around what seemed to be a waterfall in the forest.

"Now all we need is something from..." I stopped myself. "What was her name?"

"I don't think she ever said." Alex said.

"Hmm. Well, she can put somethings up when she returns."

Alex:

I smiled. I walked close to Avid. "Like the pictures?" I asked, standing really close as he unpacked.

She glared at me and I backed up slightly with a chuckle. "Surprised they weren't pin up girls."

"Told you. Hey...what ya doing tomorrow night?"

"Don't you already have a plaything? The girl you went out with tonight?"

I shrugged. I really didn't know what to think of Robyn...but it wasn't my habit to get into serious relationships, so I just smiled. "Your point?" I teased.

***i dunno I'm just going along with it***

Robyn (night time)

Just as I feel about flying I was never going to do it again, because cats always land on their feet I always land on my butt. I stretched out on the floor in the library and started reading a book, I turned the the candles with my powers which were low since I'd stayed in human form way to long. I layed on my tummy with my leg bending and my feet in the air. My cat's eyes saw everything my human ones did not. The candles hovered in the air, rain started to pour outside the windows the lights were off and it was forbidden for students to be here butI was breaking the rules once again.....

>>Ayumi, what part are you confused about?<<

((Avid- Siren- Sophomore))

I sighed. "My point being players are usually irritating." I smiled radiantly at him.

Alex kept his face still for a moment then burst out laughing. I screwed my face up in confusion. "What's so funny?"

The laughter stopped as he prepared my answer but the moment he got his composure another bout of laughter flew easily from his lips. I slowly took out my socks, unrolling a pair, and chucked one at his head. Alex doubled over, causing me to miss.

"What?"

He raised his head a bit to look at me. A sloppy grin spread across his face. "Say 'playa'."

"Playa." I repeated.

The next noise was between a chuckle and a full blown laugh. Rose was laughing lightly from her bed. "So help me God, if you don't tell me..." I threatened.

"You sound so white." Alex started laughing again, only this time it seemed as if he was calming down.

I looked at my arm. "But I am white." He was confusing me.

"Have you ever lived near a city?" He asked.

"No?" I wasn't sure how big of a city he meant. I'd always lived in and around lakes.

"Alright, well, never ever say 'playa' near city kids. I think they might beat you up because you make the word sound so atrocious."

"Ohhh vocabulary." I snapped back. "Plus being a player is an atrocious thing. Screwing with girls who only want attention and someone to love." I threw my socks in my drawer viciously, slamming it when I was finished. I briskly stood and kicked my suitcase under my bed. I spun around and flopped on my bed.

Silence swept through the room. I blushed. "Sorry. Siren problems."

Yet another silence. "I never got my answer." Alex's voice still held amusement from my childish outburst.

I groaned. "You get more people to come, sure. I'll do something. No screwing with me though." I propped my head on my hand. "I can be a bitch when I want to."

Alex held back a laugh. "So the white girl swears."

I narrowed my eyes at him, sending him into more laughter.

<<Kaia-Naiad-freshman>>

I hugged my knees to my chest by a rain splattered window in the library, my blue sweater comforting me. A book rested by me, still unopened. Why did I have to be here? I just want to live in or by my stream until the next drought dries me up. It’s not like I’m going to seduce some idiot guy so he drowns. That’ll just make my home smell like death.

I sighed and finally looked at the book, stroking Luna, when I heard something.

Crap, I’m not supposed to be here what if it’s a teacher! I stood up in a hurry and Luna cawed in annoyance and caused me to wince.

A black shape revealed itself to be a panther from the shadows and I sprinted for the door, fear passing through me. All I heard were Luna’s wing beats, no cats following me, behind me but I kept running until I was out of breath and I sank to the floor. Luna landed next to me.

“Why the heck did I have to come here again?” I asked her, stroking her smooth black feathers.
