Aurora almost screamed for joy! "Travien! You're okay!!!'I squealed. She covered him with kisses. She was exstatic. "You're never allowed to do that again." she said harshly. She laid against his chest. "Are you okay? Is there anything else I can heal?' she whimpered.
He groaned when her weight shifted onto his side, making his ribs burn. He immediately pushed her away as he rolled onto his other side, doubling over. He could hear her whimpering and stammers.
"Forgive me..." he gasped, raising his gaze to her's. "I'm in...a lot of pain...right now..."
He bit back a snarl as his ribs began to throb. "I think Gorton cracked my ribs."
"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery." Timothy 4:14 KJV
Aurora cringed. "I'm sorry." she whimpered. "What can I do?" she begged. she hated being useless. She whimpered and stood there useless, just looking down at Travien helplessly.
Travien watched her for a moment, steadying his breathing and ignoring the pain. He couldn't help but see the hurt and worry in her eyes, and it touched him deeply.
Travien. Ronar called. The boy looked up and met the dragon's gaze. You did well. I'm...I'm proud of you.
Travien smiled. Really?
Really.
The entire day was turning out better than possible. He beamed, wanted to laugh, but knew he couldn't. It would bring more pain...Thank you, Ronar. I appreciate it.
The dragon snorted and turned his gaze to Aurora. What the dragon was telling her, he couldn't begin to guess. He just noticed that she blushed a little and even smiled, catching Travien's gaze.
Travien moved to sit up then, trying to get to his feet. He cried out when pain raced through his body.
"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery." Timothy 4:14 KJV
Aurora was immediately at his side. "Please don't! Just sit! I don't want you to get hurt more. Please!" She whimpered. She sat down beside him, making sure he was okay.
"I'll be fine," he whispered, leaning against her. "We just need to get out of here...get someplace safe..."
Sori joined them then, standing on the other side, away from Ronar. She crooned worriedly, lowering her muzzle to sniff Travien carefully. Are you okay?
No, I'm not... Can you do us a favor? Can you help us out of here? To the village? If you can? I can't move yet.
She whined, but nodded nonetheless. I can carry you. Ronar nor I are fit enough to fly yet, but we'll both do our best to help you. After all, you protected us when you didn't have to.
Travien smiled at the dragons. Ronar seemed to agree, for he held a compassionate gleam in his eyes. He was glad he still had friends.
"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery." Timothy 4:14 KJV
Aurora looked at Travian. He seemed like he was in a lot of pain. She didnzt like it. "If you scare me like that again, I swear Izll break more bones in your body then you can image!'
she sighed. she was scared to even touch him. what would make it worse? She looked at Ronar.
"Are you guys okay? is there anything else I can do?" She wrapped her arm around herself, trying to comfort herself since she was too scared to actually touch Travian.
Ronar looked at the girl for a minute, then at Travien. The boy was lucky to have her; she was the best thing that had ever happened to him yet.
Sori crooned softly, drawing the older bull's attention. It's okay, Ronar. Travien will be fine.
I know. But I still feel...guilty...about my treatment of him. I feel like I wasn't fair and that I was prejudiced toward something better than myself...
Don't think that! You're the same, but different ways. There's a lot of good in that.
Ronar didn't respond. He sighed as he touched Aurora's mind. I will need a place to stay until my wing has healed. Do you know of any nearby sanctuary?
"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery." Timothy 4:14 KJV
Aurora nodded, curls bouncing. "My friend...she's a nyph...she has a place...but I know a lot of magical creatures...depends on who your comfortable with."
I looked at Trent. sHow about we all stay together until everyone heals? I have to keep you all supplied with fresh herbs or else your wounds won't heal." I smiled. "Is that okay?"
**Lol. I think every dragon is impressed with Aurora. =p OH! That gave me an idea! how about Travian have a "brother" that the black dragon sired that Travian doesn't know about andthat brother falls in love with aurora too...What ya think?**
Aurora smiled and led them to where the nymph had her safe haven. The nymph giggled and rushed out.
"Aurora!" then she stoppd. "Travien, sori! what happenede?!"
Aurora's face turned pale. was Travien really that beat up?! She whimpered and felt a tear slide down her cheek. he was never allowed to fight again.
** That would be flippin' hilarious!!! Let's do that! XD Even funnier would be if they were the exact opposites!!! XDD **
Travien groaned as Ronar set him down, his side aching dully. "There was a fight..." he began, but couldn't finish. Everything swayed to the extent he had to lean on Aurora.
"That dragon showed up out of nowhere! The one that murdered my family, remember?" Aurora finished, helping Travien sit down.
"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery." Timothy 4:14 KJV
Aurora clutched him tightly. "You are NEVER allowed to fight again! EVER!'I felt a tear slide down my cheek.
The nymph saw me crying and sighed. "Travien, you stupid oaf." She went towards him and touched him, his bones healing. "You'll be fine...just sore for a couple of days."
Aurora smiled. "Thank you so much!'She leaned her head softly against his shoulder.
Travien looked at his mate lovingly and exhausted. She just didn't understand. She probably never would.
Fighting is a part of our society, he recalled. Bulls gain and lose territory by winning and losing battles. Positions in the clan change by winning and losing battles. We lose mates by losing...
Ronar crooned, entering Travien's mind. Just give her time. It's typical, for new mates to worry so. In a few years, she'll understand the society better and won't panic at every turn.
Travien nodded. Thanks. He looked at the Helena. "Helena?"
"Hmm?" She had been walking away.
"Thank you."
She smiled and shrugged, then waved at them. "Don't worry about it. You just go get some rest, 'kay?"
"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery." Timothy 4:14 KJV
Aurora whimpered. "You can lose mates?!" She started panicking. She couldn't lose him! she couldn't be with someone else! She felt like she couldn't breath. she was taking in air.
Helenna glared at travien. "Breath aurora! take in air!"
she gasped as she took a breath. She still felt like she was hyperventlating. She couldnzt lose him! She just couldnzt. she started gasping for air.
