My attic and basement are rat-infested unfortunately, but TBR knows me too well... I love mindless jobs and I absolutely adore raking the leaves. It gives me such great story ideas. Once, when I raked leaves, I realized that one of my characters was not evil. This sounds simple, but this simple fact had been eluding me... until I started to rake the leaves.
But... I think we live too far apart.

Okay. Advice time. I'd advise against a party that put your guests in the position of needing to spend money. Custome parties and proms sound like fun, but may disuade some people from coming if they can't afford the clothes your expecting. Keeping the theme limited to the decor sets the mood without alienating anyone. And, if only you and Griffin are dressed in theme, you'll feel more special.
I'd go DO something. Maybe each of you could drag a close friend along on a camping or road trip. Go to a concert. Rent some rooms in a swanky hotel and pretent to be movie stars. You'd have a ncie getaway, and you could have a wild party and not clean up the next morning.
