When I opened my eyes, there was a busy town square around me. Several people were gathering around a player who was shouting, "Try your luck folks!"

This is weird. I've never played a game so realistic before. Someone bumping into me interrupted my thoughts.

"Oh, sorry!" I looked for her name. Hot Babe... sure. "I'm new at this."

"So am I," she- no, it was a male voice- replied. "Did you hear the rumors?"

I thought, Great. The first person I run into is some weird cross-dresser. He must've guessed because he jumped in with, "I didn't make the character. My... ah... friends did."

(Take it away, Tom.)

Kelsey

I looked up at Ray hofrrified,

"What are you doing? We really don't need to draw attention to ourselfs right now." My eyes were like blades slashing at his face. He winced as if I'd burned him.

He looked down at me, "Relax, Kelss." He smiled.

My eyebrows drew together in a worried frown.

Tom

"Some friends," the boy scoffed and Tom smiled just a little but was silently berating himself for trying to make his voice sound masculine. It really didn't have the hoped for affect of making him sound more serious. Instead he switched back to the nauseatingly sexy female tones:

"What might your name be then? I'm Tom." He held his hand out to shake and the boy took it rather cautiously with a distasteful look in his eye. He clearly disliked the switch to a female voice more. Perhaps he thinks I'm making fun of him...

"Chris," he answered.

"So about this rumour... have you heard much?" Tom prompted.

"You mean the one about the virus?" Chris asked carefully. Tom nodded eagerly and smiled widely before allowing his face to fall to a more sombre expression.

"I'm afraid I've got some bad news for you, Chris. You've been affected by the virus. If we can speak of it, that means you're trapped in the game and can't log out." Tom paused waiting for this to sink in but the boy looked skeptical at first and finally burst into laughter.

"Okay... I'll keep that in mind," Chris said with a roll of his eyes as he turned to go.

"Just try it," Tom challenged. "And when you have, my friends and I are staying at the Golden Gryphon. Just ask for Tom."

Grrrr!!! Was no one listening to what I had been saying this whole entire time???? I growled because obviously Ray wasn't going to listen to me I gave him the I-want-to-slap-you look and walked off. I was growling like a cat the whole time until I saw Tom.

"Tom?" I squinted.

*Sorry I'm, confused by your posts, all Ray's doing is gathering rumours. He's not the one running around.*

Tom

"Hello Kelsey," Tom greeted her casually, "Have you found many people yet?" He began to wander again, moving amongst the market stalls as Kelsey followed behind him.

"Why don't you ask Ray. He seems to have found a whole crowd," she said bitterly. Tom paused and turned to face her.

"What's wrong with that?" Tom asked. "The more people the better, right?" Kelsey shrugged, refusing to meet his eye as she realised that she might have been a little over-cautious.

"I just don't think it's good drawing so much attention to ourselves. What if this virus creator sends monsters after us? He could wipe us out before some of us have even started training." Tom nodded slowly.

"That's a good point," he admitted. "But I've only found one so far and I don't even know if he'll show when we need him so my method clearly isn't working." He sighed heavily and then a thought struck him: "In fact, I bet Ray's trying to get us noticed. He wants to find his sister, remember. We can't let him endanger everyone for that but we have to cut him some slack. How exactly is he attracting this crowd? Shouting like a mad man?" Kelsey looked a little shocked and she looked into Tom's face with growing interest.

"He's hosting some games of chance," Kelsey said. Tom scoffed at that.

"Come on, show me where he is. Let's at least make sure he doesn't cheat too many people out of their money. The talk of rumours might just go unnoticed but that won't." As Kelsey led the way, Tom explained how they'd have to try and do it without Ray realising because games-men were always proud of their abilities to cheat a crowd and he probably wouldn't agree to letting the players win. But when they got there, Tom was impressed. Ray was controlling it carefully.

"Leave him be, Kels. This kid's pretty smart."

Haithing:

As soon as she managed to make it into town people were bumping into her and asking were she mangaed to find such valuble cloths. She was getting eritated now. "Where'd you find that?" A asked, pointing to her long blade on her side. Her hand swiped out and hit the girl. She stumbld back.

"I'm sorry," SHe tried to apoagize but it was too late. A crowd had formed a circle around her. NOw two boys stepped out, there faces showing anger. Darn. Why had the meeting place een in this town? SHe looked at them for a second and gave a sigh. She pulled out her blade and set the tip against the ground. She probable wouldn't use it but she would need it to scare them enough to get away.

Dareing:

He heard a comotion. He turned his head and there not far off was a crowd. Aside from the other crowd witht he line he knew this one conseled the fight that his sister proobable managed to get into. He couldn't be noticed. He had to go. He jumped up and off the fountain. He walked slightly rushed twards the gates of the town. He had nothing to hide other than his anoying sister he loved so much. But that sister also got anoying too.

***Sory SD, I haven't been here for a while I was away so I just wrote whatever came to mind.***

Kelsey

"I never said he wasn't smart. I'm just confused, why would someone do this to us? Send into what we thought was a fun stupid game and we end up getting traped here. I don't want to live the rest of my life here. I just..... I wanna go home, Tom."

"We all do." He nodded. "And we will." He smiled.

"I hope your right, but if we do tell the people, what are the chances that they think we did it? We trapped them too?"

"I dunno, but I hope your wrong." Tom sighed.

"That makes both of us." I said worried.

[Fayne]

Fayne grinned and walked into the small crowd, his eye on the girl in the middle with her sword out. He shoved the two angry boys aside and pulled out his two swords, resting their tips on the ground. "Its not safe pulling out your weapon in the middle of a town." He said with a smirk.

Jason

Jason's hands wandered to the pair of pistols holstered in his belt, contemplating using them to break up the fight. But no, that'd probably just cause even more trouble. He thought, instead simply stepping in between Fayne and the two boys, who had already drawn their own weapons. "It's also not safe turning your back on those who are more likely to cause trouble, Drow." He fixed the two boys with a stern look, his hand on the hilt of his sword, repeating Ray's words to him from the day before, "Do you two really want to be known as player-killers when you've just started?"

One of them took a step forward, puffing himself up a little, "What makes you think we've just started?"

Jason turned back to Fayne for a moment, "Well, I'm still itching for a bit of a fight, what about you?" He noticed the Drow's surprise and grinned, "I don't want to kill them, just calm them down a bit. Spending a few hours unconscious should do the trick for them."

((Ayric))

On the outskirts of the crowd sat Ayric. Her tail whipped back and forth with amusement. Fayne and Jason seemed to be picking a fight with two other people. Ayric stood slowly and made her way through the crowd. She stopped behind Fayne and let her wings stretch a bit.

"Is there a problem?"

"Nope." Jason replied coolly. "Just some boys asking for some fun."

Ayric inclined her head, even though she didn't need to, to look the boys over. She blinked and broke her gaze. "No killing." She ordered and turned to leave.

"We weren't planning on it." Jason said irritatedly.

"I know." Ayric's eye caught on the girl at the opposite end of the circle. Her blade was drawn and resting at her side. A clash of swords behind her told her that the boys had started fighting.

Meaningless. She told herself. The girl looked warily at Ayric and gripped her sword.

"You here to fight me too?"

Ayric shook her head. "My friends are fighting those two for you. I guess they looked at Fayne the wrong way or something."

A smile briefly twitched into existence but disappeared as quickly as it came. Ayric sighed. "Why don't you put your sword away and get out of this crowd. We can wait for Fayne and Jason to finish with those two."

She considered it for a moment and picked her sword up to slide it into its sheath. "I'm Haith."

"Ayric. Pleasure." With that Ayric moved through the crowd as any gryphon would, with difficulty, and waited with Haith for the battle to be done.

"We can go eat after. I'll treat."

Kin

Like an echo to my thoughts, I heard the sounds of conflict. I hurried over to join the crowd.

"Do you want to be known as player-killers just starting out?" someone was saying.

Killers... What happens if they really die? I found myself blurting out, "Don't fight! You could be
killed for real!" No one seemed to notice me, though.

(That's about all I can do.)

Haith:

She looked back at a boy who was funny. Don't fight? They already said they wouldn't. Talk about catching on at the last moment. She followed the gryfin away.

[Fayne]

Fayne lifted his left blade and eyed it, grinning slightly. "I think I went a little deep on the fat one there, Jason." He said. He picked his right blade up off the ground, it had been knocked out of his hand during combat, and sheathed them both. I'm getting a little rusty...d***, I got hit pretty hard... Fayne flexed his arm and pain shot up to his neck, rendering his arm almost immobile. Jason had already cleaned his blade off and had began walking away, towards Ayric and the girl who had started the whole commotion.
