Why do we call gods gods?

Because that's what we know them as but there are more names to it, the christians call god as Jesus, the muslims as Allah and Hindus as Bhagwan and Buddist as ... They also have a name. all religions have defferent names. There are many names so people to show that they are referring to god say 'god' to let the other person know they are talking about god because people may or may not know the other names. Wow, that was convinient.
