Tanner~

I laughed lightly, beginning to walk to my next class, which Lucinda had with me. "So you ready for the Biology test?" I asked, cocking an eyebrow.

"We have a bio test today?" Lucinda asked, her face falling as I nodded.

"Yeah, I told you over the phone last night," I replied, trying to keep straight face. I failed and burst out laughing as we walked. We walked passed Alastair, Chris, Dusty, and Colt.

"There he is Tanner!" Lucinda whispered into my ear as soon as we were passed them.

"Oh shut up! Colt's two grades higher than me! He wouldn't even look twice in my direction!" I growled, quickening my pace.

Aurthor aimlessly walked down the hall with his notebook in one hand and a dead pen in the other. "So many faces I don't know." He muttered to himself. Then Cara walked by and his heart skipped a beat and then went racing out of control. The only girl he has liked since coming to the states was right there but he couldn't speak. What he did do was drop his notebook and look embaressed.

Raph-

Sitting on the stair case, Raph was alone again. He was forced to this city to live with his mother, but it turned out she had died.

Now he was homeless, and hungry.

Chris:

I smiled at Dusty. "You are looking fabulous as ever." I flirted. Colt glared and I laughed. "We flirt. That's what we do." I reminded him. "Speaking of which, I think you have a secret admirer." I nodded my head in the direction that the two girls were giggling and looking at Colt.

Cara:

I stopped and bent down, grabbing the notebook and handing it back to him. "Hey. You dropped this." I said, blushing. "My name's Cara. Your Aurthor, right?"

~Minerva~

I wanted to go into the choral room, but when I reached the doors, I could here two voices inside. Now, normally, I wouldn’t care if anyone was watching or not. This time though, they seemed to be getting along nicely without interruption, and, more importantly, I didn’t want to show anyone my new song yet, particularly not strangers. Plus, I wanted to start a new semester without making anyone angry.

I was hanging outside the doors pondering my dilemma when I saw the girl fall. It didn't look like anyone was going to help her, even Elijah who was obviously interested. So it was up to me. I tried to catch his eye to scowl at him as I went to help her up.

"Are you alright?" I asked her. I wanted to say something clever, but I couldn't think of anything that wouldn't sound mean.

(ooc: the last line is true.)

Name:Frances Harrington
Age:14
Appearance:Tall, skinny, likes to wear anything fashionable and if it's not in Vogue, it's not worth wearing. She's always instant on wearing sunglasses, even in the freezing winter weather due to 'eye problems'. Really she thinks it's cool.
Personality: Very egotistical. Appearance means everything to Frances. She is extremely materialistic. Boys are another accessory and what Frances wants Frances GETS! Frances however is also very emotional vulnerable. Years of greed have made Frances feel sad and insecure. Her biggest fear is that if she loses all of her material goods her life will fall apart, as she knows people view her as selfish and obnoxious.
Background: Frances is one of two children and she is the baby of the family. Her brother is an undergraduate at Yale and her father is an extremely wealthy businessman. Frances' mother died when she was very young so from a young age age Frances has been exposed to her father using and emotionally abusing women. Frances is very spoilt by her father and nothing is out of reach in her life.
Other:Frances' lack of female attention has had some ill effects. Even though Frances has lots of boys she doesn't allow them to have the chance to treat her like her father treats women. Frances is scared of attachment to boys and to girls as friends as she has a fear of abandonment.

Hope my character is ok :)

Lucinda~

"Oh come on. He's one of Ally's friends." I said waving to my brother. He waved back smiling. "Hey Chris, hey Colt!" I yelled to them. I was used to being around them since they came to the house all the time.
"Don't do that." Tanner said, pulling the hand, I was waving vigerously with, down. "Plus even if he is friends with Alastair it doesn't change that they are 2 years older. Colt wouldn't be interested."
I sighed as we walked to Bio. "You'll never know if you don't try."

Alastair~

"She's crazy," I said as I looked back at the guys.
"Who?" Chris asked. Colt was still looking down the hallway.
"You have to ask? Lucinda, she actually tried to jump out of her window last night to sneak out."
"So?" Chris said. "It's not like you don't do it."
"Yeah, but I'm not on the third floor with nothing to hold onto." I retorted, rising an eyebrow.

Tanner~

I shook my head and smiled. "I've tried that already. When I was in sixth grade. Didn't work out to well," I laughed lightly and sat down, reading the board quickly to see what the assignment was. I yawned in boredom as I began working quickly. I was done with the paper by the time the warning bell rang. "So, where are we going for lunch?"

Chris:

I chuckled. "She sure is beautiful." I smiled as everyone rolled their eyes.

"Didn't you just break up with your old girlfriend?"

"Yeah...so?"

"so..shouldn't you wait?"

I smirked. "Why wait? waiting's boring." I grinned.

The first day of school for Frances was like entering, in her view, a sewer. It was full of rats who would do anything to have an existence above the on they currently had. Frances was never going to a rat. She was going to be the alpha - bitch and each rat would be exterminated.
Frances strutted along in her six inch heels. To Frances, lack of height was lack of power. As people saw Frances, their heads turned in disgust. They couldn't stand the disguise she wore. The mask of perfection was Frances' favorite outfit yet everyone had failed to mention to her that it had gone out of season a long time ago.
Frances smiled, her brand new teeth blinding people away from her insecurities. The whiteness that shone from her mouth was a false purity, the suffering hiding behind a hard white curtain. That smile hadn't bought Frances happiness; it was yet another reminder that joy had been taken from Frances' life along with her innocence.

Raph-

He noticed someone entering a school building. It was a girl figure. Raph sighed. "School."

Lucinda~

"Ugh, I don't know. It's your turn to pick anyway. I'm not that hungry though; you just want to go do something stupid?" I asked her, smiling.
"Don't I always?" She said giving the same smile.
We walked towards the doors of the school just as a girl in very high, pointy heels clicked through the door.
"Could they be any higher?" I asked Tanner and she giggled.

Being watched for some is nerve wracking and skin crawling. For Frances, attention was another drug. It was cheep enough, the high exposed more emotion but the come down could leave you shaking, nervous and scared.
Frances glanced over at a boy who was piercing her with his stare. He was another rat to Frances, probably loaded with the sewers poison. He was a contamination in her view, making her feel sick.
Attention was a drug far to easy to overdose on. It seeped out. Frances needed another hit. She needed the hallucination of happiness. Frances liked attention, when the people giving it were dressed in more lies than their daddy's credit card could buy them.

Raph-

The girl he looked at, gave him a dirty look. He stuck his tongue at her. She looked away from him. Raph just giggled. She was a funny one. He placed a lollipop in his mouth.

Then an idea popped in his head. Rushing inside Raph headed to the office. This was the school he had the option to going to. He wanted to see that girl again, and annoy her somemore.

That boy seemed to be everywhere that day. Every frame of her vision had a speck of that boy in it. Her manicured nails wanted to scratch him away, just like every other boy who had ever annoyed her. If you erased the memory of it you couldn't get hurt though Frances. Only one thing ever stopped Frances from scratching everything away and that was her monster. That man would barely speak to Frances two words a week yet he had said enough to fill books of pain. Freedom didn't exist. Her freedom was buried with her mother...
That boy was behind Frances, his girly giggling irritating her.
