Jessica

I smiled timidly and skirted past him, following Stanton's aura to a closed door. I could hear a movie playing, but nothing else. I tapped on the door softly, fully aware of the other man's gaze. He was attractive, of course. But the way he stared at me... I was almost uncomfortable. I had never received so much attention, least of all from a guy about five years older than me!

"Brother? Are you in there?" I asked softly, carefully.

Stanton

I froze when I heard the voice. Jessica? She was back already? I sat up and winced. It still hurt to move... Which meant I couldn't get the door. Serena rose gently and strode to it, opening it for the girl.

"Brother!" I swore when her amber eyes settled on me. She raced past Serena and pounced on the bed, almost literally tackling me. I groaned when my side throbbed against her actions; Serena pulled Jessica off of me as I steadied my breathing.

"Stanton? I missed you so much! Are you okay? What happened? Why are you here?" she went on and on. I finally shut her mouth with my magic.

"Take it easy, chick... I just got out of the hospital..." I panted, grimacing as the pain slowly subsided. "Got in a fight last week, shattered my ribs... God, damn it, that hurt!"

"Stanton, who is this?" Serena asked as the little girl watched me, moving carefully now until she was curled up next to me.

"This...is my sister, Jessica. Jessica, meet my girlfriend, Serena."

They exchanged uncertain glances, and tried to smile. I just laid back, annoyed that everything that could happen was happening. One, I was getting along with Brian. Two, I couldn't enjoy my time with Serena like we wanted to. Three, my long-lost sister finally returned from Europe only to find me out of commission. Four, my little sister tackled me unknowingly, which only brought more pain. Five, Sacuna was, for once, nowhere around.

I finally sighed and smiled at Jessica. "Welcome back, silly."

Mike

I grinned as I pulled out an ancient chess game. It had belonged to my grandfather, then passed down to me.

"Ready to lose, Sacuna?" I said, still grinning as I set the board up for us. I was nice and gave her white. That way, she could move first.

Serena:

I looked at the girl now occupying MY spot and sighed. I sat down at the end of the bed. She was cute. And I wanted to care for her...but I was a bit jealous about the now diverted attention. I didn't always mean to be the center of attention, but I kind of liked it, especially if Staton was involved. I diverted my eyes. It was my fault that this had happened. I had been selfish...I bit my lip.

"How did this happen?" the little girl asked.

"I got in the way." I replied, chocking back tears. "Excuse me, I need to check on my brother." I fled.

Secuna:

I laughed. "Yeah right." I grinned and moved one of my pawns foreward two spaces. "Your move." I tauntd. "I think we should make a bet." I said smiling.

**Dynamo is back! Yay!**

Stanton

I tried to get up and follow Serena, but Jessica pinned me down. Carefully, and with good intentions, but it pissed me off.

"What did she mean? How did she get in the way?" Jessica asked, completely innocent.

I sighed and began the long story, of how I had seen Brian manipulate Serena into kissing Mike, how Mike had gotten too aggressive, how we had moved in and starting fighting, how Serena had jumped between us, how I had given up my chances in the fight and opened myself up to an attack by protecting her. Jessica was shocked at first, then angry, and finally crying.

She laid her head on the pillow and sniffled, staring up at me. "She's upset, too, isn't she?"

"This happened a week ago, and it still bothers her."

"How bad is it, though? You didn't say."

"It's too bad for someone like you to hear."

"Please? I'm your sister, Stanton! We're all we've got!"

I sighed. "Fine. Several of my ribs were shattered and protruded through my side. I went into shock and passed out within minutes."

She whistled. She knew how bad that was; I wasn't the first to be injured among the Followers, but it was my first time. I wasn't surprised that everyone was dumbfounded by the news.

I looked at the door as I slipped into Serena's mind. Babe, are you okay?

*Yea!!!!! XD**

Serena:

I shut Staton out. I didn't want him to know how much it hurt. I was still mad at myself. and now I had to explain it to his sister. Why was I so stpid! I shouldn't have let my brother talk me into going. But, I had needed someone...someone to talk to and laugh with. I burried my head into my knees and cried.

**Please post for Mike! XD**

**XD Oops. Sorry! XD**

Mike

I smirked as I moved my first knight, blocking her pawn's path. "I'm not that easy to beat, sweetheart. Now, what's your bet?"

I would fully enjoy this!

Stanton

I sighed. So, she was still upset? Damn it all! I hit "stop" on the remote and got to my feet, standing rigidly. I was still slouched from my side, but it was tolerable. I went to the window and stared out of it, into the darkening sky.

"Brother?" Jessica asked after a moment.

"We'll be fine. It's just...been really rough, lately."

Jessica

I hated seeing Stanton so upset, so depressed. It made me feel sad, made me want to cry.

I only nodded and sat up. "I-I'll tell the Followers you're okay. L-Later, Stanton."

I hesitantly left, using my magic to pass through the wall and away, making sure not to run into Serena as I went.

Secuna:

I laughed. "Yeah, sure. I'm still going to win." I smiled. "You decide what the bet is."

Serena:

I dried my eyes and walked towards the room, putting on a fake smile. "Did you sister leave already?" I asked, trying to sound happy, but not quite succeeding.

Brian:

I saw the girl leaving and saw tears in her eyes. "Hey, want to talk about it?" I asked.

Mike

I thought for a moment as we moved a few more pieces. What could the bet be?

Then I got an idea. "Whoever loses must do whatever the winner asks of them. Period. How's that?"

Jessica

I wiped the tears away, sniffling. I looked up at this man, feeling comfort from him. He was offering his help, his comfort, and I was a complete stranger.

"I just don't like seeing Stanton hurt..." I whimpered. "And then he's also upset because Serena still feels bad about it, even though it wasn't her fault! I don't like seeing my brother in so much pain!"

I broke down then, sinking to my knees before I could stop myself.

Secuna:

I nodded. "Alright. But be prepared to lose." she taunted.

**Btw, he wins. XD**

Brian:

I looked at the poor helpless girl, and before he could think, brother instincts took over. He sat down beside her and pulled her into his arms, holding her tight. "It's okay. It's alright. He'll be fine. serena will cheer him up whe she's happy. He likes comforting her too. It's alright. He'll be fine, I promise." I kept saying things softly, holding her there, until the tears began to stop.

Serena:

**Don't forget Staton. Lol**

I pulled him away from the window and back towards the bed, begging him with my eyes to let me snuggle with him.

**XD That's gonna be funny! Any ideas on what he should ask of her? I'm kinda blank right now...**

We battled fiercely, taking each other's pieces easily. But, I had a plan, and it never failed me. I always won.

Before she realized it, I had her king trapped, a rook at one angle, a knight at one angle, a bishop on one angle, and the queen finishing it off.

"Check mate," I grinned.

Stanton

I sat down on the bed, pulling her close to me. I held her against me, hushing her as she quietly cried.

"Serena, please stop. It's okay. I'm fine. It's not your fault, babe. Please, stop crying. Please..."

A single tear fell from my own eyes; I was desperate to stop her crying, to make her feel better. I hated seeing her like this.

Jessica

I nodded, sniffling. I looked up at him and tried a smile, wiping my tears away with shaky fingers.

"Thanks, Mr. ..."

He chuckled lightly. "Just call me Brian. Feeling better?"

I nodded hestitantly, still looking at him.

Secuna:

I blanched. "H-how did you do that?!" I asked. I was normally really good at chess. I sighed and growled. "So...what is your request?" I asked a little teasingly.

*Um...idk. Like...a kiss? Or just whatever. XD It could be really serious or it could be silly.*

Serena:

I saw a tear fall from his cheek and I whimpered. I was making it worse! "S-sorry." I mummbled. I tried to get up, but he held me tight. He wanted to comfort me...but I felt like I was making it worse!

Brian:

I sighed and let her go. "Glad I could help." I didn't want her to leave. I wanted to keep her right here...comforting her. But I was pretty sure she wanted to leave. So...I let her go.

Mike

I was smug as I stared at her, my expression saying "I told you so." I mean, had I not said that I was hard to beat? And she didn't believe me!

I pretended to think hard about my request, but I knew exactly what I wanted. Just by earlier, I knew she wanted it, too.

Finally, I just put my elbows on my knees as stared at her, gaze soft and caring. "Kiss me. Please?" I added "please" as a little joke, and to make it sound more like an official request...

Stanton

I wiped the tear away. "Serena, don't worry about me. I'm just... I'm sorry I can't make you feel better, I'm sorry we're all in this position, I'm sorry about everything..."

I closed my eyes as I felt more emotions coming forth. What I had said was true... I was sorry about everything.

Jessica

I looked at Brian, not sure if I wanted to leave or not. I actually saw him as a nice person, someone to hang out with.

"I'm Jessica," I said shyly, timidly offering my hand to him. "Stanton's little sister."

Serena:

I kissed him passionately. "What do you have to be sorry about?! I love you. We're together. That's all that matters." I smiled and kissed him again. I hated to see him in pain.

Secuna:

I blushed and leaned in, holding my breath. He kissed me softly, and again it felt like a volcano errupting inside me. I had never felt like this before. I pulled him closer, claiming his lips with mine.

**I'm surprised Staton hasn't wondered about Secuna. lol.**

Brian:

I felt shock go through me. Staton's sister?! I took a deep breath and smiled. "I didn't know he had a sister."

Dear friends,
I cannot be more thankful to you for keeping this storybook "alive" in my absence! I've had a busy summer, as Ayumi might know, and I now have a job at the local Sonic. But, on the contrary, I DO now have my internet back at home! So, hopefully I can get back in touch with everyone and all of my old storybooks.
Thank you,

Don't mention it, Pip! We might not know much about the Daughters series, but that's what makes it fun. We don't know what we're doing! And it's good to have you back. See you Friday, at school!

Stanton

**He HAS wondered about her...a couple posts up, silly! XD**

I pulled her closer, my lips locking with hers. I held her lovingly, desperately, not wanting to let go.

I pulled away long enough to whisper in her ear. "I love you, too, Serena." I then ran my lips from her ear, along her jaw, onto her neck, and back up again, soon reclaiming her lips with mine. "There's nothing in this world that surpasses my love for you."

Mike

When she kissed me, it was like fireworks. She had been quiet, but now she was exploding with passion. I liked it and pulled her closer, fusing my lips and tongue with hers. It was almost overwhelming...

When we parted, we were both breathless. "Damn, you're good... You've gotten me twice already, tonight. It's a new record!" I chuckled on the last part; what I didn't say was that she was the best kisser I'd ever kissed.

Jessica

I shrugged. "I've been gone for almost a year; I guess Stanton's been too busy to remember mentioning me." I giggled. It wasn't uncommon for him, but I understood. After all, he had a girlfriend and he was in charge of the Followers. He stayed busy!
