"Oi! You know where I can get a place to sleep?" she asked.

"I know were you can sleep." The guard said, slightly drunk as he smiled down on her.

Ugh! Not another!

He pulled on her sleeve. She didn

Howell

He opened the doors of the inn and stepped inside, completely unsuspecting. A moment later he heard a soft click as a gun was placed to the side of his head. He froze, looking sidelong at the soldier, who smiled, "Don't move. You picked the wrong bar to walk into, stranger."

Howell's gaze moved over the rest of the bar. The soldiers seemed to have just arrived, still moving into position around the room. Some of the locals hadn't even noticed them yet.

*Alright lets get this thing started.*

Azrayel-

Ray fiddled with the hilt of his blade, his focus switching from one guard to another. He noticed the officer from earlier wasn't with the soldiers. Stiffening, he saw Howell walk through the door and get caught by one of the soldiers.

Glancing over at Tanner he saw that her back was ramrod straight, a tiger ready to bolt, or pounce. The others at the table had either already noticed the soldiers or were tense from the atmosphere. Outside the storm had grown even more intense, building into a typhoon.

He tensed standing carefully he moved through the crowd to stand near Howell. An officer walked through the door behind him and scanned the room, raising his voice so everyone could here. "Attention everyone. Someone just tried to assassinate the Queen. We have it from a reliable source that the culprits may be hiding in the town, and are conducting a search of the area. If you would please cooperate, we would like to see if you have a match to the seal left behind by the culprits."

Ray's purple eyes widened in shock. As the guard continued to speak the words rang in his head.

**oh my. I hope this is all right**

Acrylis

I heard the guard speaking, and instinct told me to get my staff ready. It was already growing, even on the chain around my neck.

I reached up, placing one hand in a fist over the necklace. I managed to keep it at pendant size, as my nerves weld up inside of me.

Howell

Howell relaxed a little - they weren't looking for him then. Nevertheless, his eyes flickered for a moment over the rebels he'd spoken with earlier. What if they'd been the assassins? The wind was howling outside, and after a few thunder claps resounded, he was glad his ship had been designed to take this kind of weather, and more so that it was undercover.

He saw the rebels tensing, one of the newly arrived Storm Callers closing one hand around her pendant. Her, then. Better do something before they get to her... One hand moved instinctively towards his pistol, but a warning grunt from the guard at his side stopped it. He frowned, narrowing his eyes a touch as he tried to work out what to do. Trying to attack the guard was liable to get him killed or seriously injured. He was going to need some kind of distraction first. His eyes roamed the room, trying to see what could be used.

Acrylis

I shifted nervously as the guards moved around the room.

My necklace was no longer threatening to change into it's full size staff, but I felt slightly more comfortable with my hand wrapped around it.

Azrayel-

Time passed almost maddeningly slowly. Ray was about ready to scream from the sheer tension when one of the guards pointed across the room. "There, that's them Captain. The ones in the corner. And the one by the counter, that tall guy over their too. And that officer over there, maybe he let them in the palace!"

Ray swore when he saw the guard pointing at the table Tanner and his new friends were sitting at. His gaze shifted over the crowd. Landing on the shocked faces of the others. In a snap he drew his sword and cracked the guard holding Howell at gunpoint over the head.

"Time to split guys." Ray shouted over the yells filling the inn. "BEFORE, we end up with our heads on the chopping block." The others were bolting through the front door before the guards recovered. When they were all out the door, Ray whirled around and froze it solid, buying some time, before following the others.

Tanner shouted over the storms howling. "Head for the jungle, once we're deep enough inside we should be safe. No one knows that place better then Ray and me."

The wind to strong to fly, the group sprinted towards the edge of town.

*I think that's everyone, but if someone was left behind just come up with a reason to get accused and follow them. If you're still in the inn you'll have to use the back door.*

Draive was stuck in the inn. Guards started to corner her. She was new recrute by the queen so ya they would'nt know. She slipped quickly out the front door as they followed after.

She tripped on something.... a foot, and was janked away as the guards went into a dog pile.

"O-" she was cut off by a hand. It was firm and hard against her mouth. How the heck was this... guy?

*sorry I'm intrailed with the queen. You can't have me along with you... :( *

Arabella

We were running down the streets, the guards not yet bothering to follow.

"Why are we running?" I exclaimed, realizing how quickly we could get ahead if we flew. As the thought came to mind, I rose into the air.

"Watch out for the trees," Ray warned, taking flight with me. I nodded, turning to my side and slipping between the trees.

When I could go no further, I landed.

Tanner~

Tanner sneered as Keira joined her. She jumped on the cat's back, grabbing the others that were left and pulling them on Keira's back along with her. Keira continued to run until they were near the ruins. Three huge cats greeted them, moving to the side, their heads dipped in respect. Tanner dipped her own and Keira moved slowly to the middle of the ruins.

Howell

Howell watched the others leaping into the air, or in Tanner's case, onto her cat. He hesitated for a second, indecision flooding him for a moment. The wings couldn't be trusted: they were far, very far, from perfect. Another thud from the door decided for him: he could hear the ice beginning to crack.

He pulled a cord on his backpack and the twin mechanical wings snapped out, with the steam jets within the pack itself firing up and hurling him into the air. Pulling a lever on the pack's side gave him the short bursts of fuel he needed to keep himself aloft, though it was shaky, nothing compared to the Storm Callers ahead of him. He could practically hear them laughing.

Camelia

As she hopped on the back of the tiger, she knew that it couldn't carry them all. She grabbed a small silver whistle from a pouch slung onto her back and within moments, Layla joined them, returning to her extremely large size. With a great leap, Camelia jumped off the tiger and onto Layla. She made a signal for them to follow her into the air. The tiger and wolf rose into the air. Camelia's beautiful silver and blue wings spread out and she jumped off.

"Follow me to my home island! It's tiny and I belive that my family are the only ones on there! Everyone just stay on the tiger so you don't get separated!" she yelled back, as she saw a few of them attempting to jump off and fly next to her.

Azrayel-

Ray ran his hands through Keira's thick fur. The chase and the storm battered at him, Ray tightened his grip as his mind flashed to the day he decided to join the rebels.

His home, a small village isolated in the jungle, had been the staging point for a minor rebellion. When the rebels failed the soldiers came to the village and enslaved everyone, before burning Taran to the ground. Ray had only been nine at the time, but he had managed to escape, slipping into the jungle. The sky itself had seemed to burn. Even now, years later that night still haunted him.

Hearing a shout Ray opened his eyes and saw a small island coming up, lightning flashed around it. Ray tensed ready to jump as they came in for a bumpy landing.

Camelia

They all hurtled toward the ground and only a few of them spread their wings to cushion the fall. The others clung to the tiger and upon impact, fell to the ground.

"Is everyone okay?" she asked as people staggered to their feet.

Most nodded. They walked a bit farther and soon a large, castle-likeplace loomed before them. A few gaped.

"Well, this is it. This is my home," Camelia said as she led them all inside.

They walked through the large entryway, filled with fancy tapestry and portraits of noble relatives and a large chrystal chandelier hung over their heads. An older couple in their fifties rushed down the stairs and hugged Camelia.

"My dear, we were so afraid that you had been captured! We heard of the Queen's guards invading the island you were on!" the woman said, hugging Camelia even tighter.

"I'm okay Mary, honestly; I'm okay! The guards almost captured us but we escaped!" Camelia said, reassuring the woman. Noticing the others' baffled looks she quickly said, "Umm, guys, these are my guardians; Henry and Mary," Henry and Mary nodded rather curtly.

Kivok-

As I sat in a tree I thought back on my escape. The soldiers had been very idiotic. They didn't think that anyone could get out by the chimney, or at least, they didn't think about the chimney. But I was quite amused by the "assassin's" escape. Yes, I think I would like to meet them sometime.
