!!!!

Please tell me I'm not the only star wars fan(atic) on here. I'm really excited. I couldn't see the midnight showing but I'll be going tonight at 7:00!

I'm pretty thrilled. Only six hours and twenty three minutes to go!

Yihoo. I couldn't go to the midnight showing either. I went to the earliest one I could, starting at 11:30. The ending made me cry.
Please, sit down before you fall down.

I think the best part was how they tied everything together at the end. You would think, knowing what happens to Anakin in this episode, it would be a sad ending. There are sad parts to it, but also a bit of humour. Most importantly, though, it ends with a lot of optimism. That's all I'm going to say, though.

For those of you who read the novels taking place after Return of the Jedi, look out for one or two inconsistancies.

I want to see it but I can't 'cause no one will take me. I would go and buy tickets from a girl who is selling them but it's the night I am at my Aunty's and she won't take me. *cry*

I have watched all movies about five times and I love them

That's silly. At your age you should be able to go to movies by yourself unless they're R movies. Or are you like me and couldn't possibly convince anyone you're fifteen because you're small? I remember going to X-Men when I was fourteen behind a string of twleve-year-olds and getting charged for a child's ticket even though all I said was "One for X-Men at 1:00". Very cool. Had enough money for a drink AND a snack.

~*~SPOILER WARNING~*~

It was the best worst movie I've ever seen. Weird, huh?

I can't make up my mind whether or not I liked it because some parts were just ridiculous, but others gave us a glimpse of Lucas's brilliance. If he hadn't been so concerned with making money and drawing a larger, younger audience, the movie would have been so much better.

They went WAAAAY too special-effects happy at the beginning, and it made the movie lose a lot of credibility. I kept thinking: "Okay, is this a video game or a movie?" It was ridiculous.

Additionally-- the writing was TERRIBLE. There were probably about 6 or 7 lines in the movie worth quoting, and the rest were so textbook that it was infuriating. "I don't know you anymore!" Come on.

Was it less cheesy as the other two prequels?

What it needed was better dialogue, and less dependancy on computer effects. I think Peter Jackson has the right idea when it comes to "movie magic." Do what serves the story best, regardless of whether it's the latest technology or if it's been around since Snow White. and use photographic elements whenever possible rather than computer effects.
